Bocca Bona Pizzeria in Edinburgh, City of

Actually got takeaway, haven't eaten in. It's not cheap, but the pizzas are good. Not our first order and we will go back for a treat.

On our way to our hotel after attending a wedding we decided to call and get something to eat it had been a long day and we were hungry. We had seen Bocca Bona the day before so called in, they were preparing to close but they insisted on making a pizza for us. The pizza was delicious and we can’t thank them enough for their kindness. We would highly recommend this pizzeria for their super service and delicious pizza.

Goats cheese pizza with rockette was nothing short of exceptional. These pizzas are nothing like the overly sweet and artificial imitations that are available under neon lights in on many street corners. Made with proper hand stretched bread, fresh ingredients, knowledge and passion. Bravo !

I’ve used this place a few times over the last couple of years and always had a great experience and their pizzas were delicious. I ordered from them a few days ago and the pizza was awful, it was cold, wet and soggy and extremely expensive. The pizzas from the Balerno Fry are infinitely better and much cheaper, what a shame.

This place does really good pasta dishes, and it's very reasonable too. The tagliatelle dish is delicious! And the pizza is always a hit too! Our 5 year old loves it as we do!

Pizza is fantastic but the very expensive eggplant Parmesan type dish was completely undercooked. It is my guess that they either did not brine the eggplant which tenderizes it and aids in the cooking process or simply didn’t have it in the oven long enough.

Truly delicious authentic Italian pizza! My new favourite pizza place! Highly recommended. We will definitely be back as often as we can!

Pizzas delivered nearly an hour late. Cold, soggy and stodgy. So very disappointing for what are very expensive pizzas and terrible customer service. Had called to find out where they were when they were 15 minutes late to be told they had not even left the kitchen! Girl I spoke to was exceptionally rude and refused to even discuss a discount for them being late. Will not order from them again. Way over priced for really poor pizza. We would have been cheaper eating out in somewhere like Mia’s Kitchen.

The whole family loves getting pizza from Boca Bona ,you have to try the chicken picante and the meatballs in tomato sauce 👏👏

Best pizza!! - gotta recommend the Arancini (wee balls of delicious goodness). And for pizza - try the Romana. We come from Edinburgh to Bocca B for a treat!

The good thing about this takeaway is that you can pre book a 20 minute time slot. However that does not mean the pizza comes at that time. We have experienced 15 minutes early to an hour late. Pizza has sonetines been delicious and on other occasions not. It is not very often hot. It doesn't have to come far and usually has to be re heated. - not great if you like the pizzas with rocket on. Not many options locally so you take your chances.

High quality ingredients combined to make delicious pizzas. Had a selection of three pizzas (including one with controversial pineapple) - all were really well cooked with great ingredients. Piccantina with Nduga and chicken pizza was spicy but well balanced and the vegetarian Ortolana was great.
