This place is spotlessly clean with lovely staff. My son treated me to cheese & bacon oatcakes, which hit the spot perfectly. Good quality ingredients - some places use cheap, fatty, paper thin bacon and cheap tasteless cheese, but here, the quality is excellent! There are usually cheesecakes and cakes for sale too, also nice pies, or fresh sandwiches can be made. It's a little gem of a place. Of course, most importantly, it is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely and friendly. What more can you ask for? >

These are the best oatcakes in the area, by far! I regularly pick up half a dozen packs to dish out to friends in Shropshire and Wales! The staff are always so happy and friendly, there is even a loyalty card for purchasing packs at a time!

Really disappointed. Enjoy supporting small businesses but give this one a miss. Picked up for hubby and kids - dry, tasteless, left mouth with a fuzzy feeling. Cheap but for good reason. Poor service as well.

Recently come across this shop, about a month ago, with recently spending a lot of time in Chesterton, renovating daughters house. The best oatcakes we’ve had in a long time, fillings are fabulous, so tasty. Also tried their homemade meat & potato, & corned beef hash pie. Absolutely gorgeous. Good choice of cakes too. Family run business, lovely & friendly. You’ve got to try them, support local shops 👍

Absolutely the worst pub in any st post code There was a open mic a few weeks ago when we attended some great singers where on one sang a England foot ball song 3 lions non offensive non family friendly song o it was at 9.45 and only adults in the pub Then all of a sudden the bar staff went and turned the sound system of and stopped all other singers as they said no English foot ball songs while we're in the soden euros and in the final We're proud to be in English and sing our songs with pride but your staff attitude needs to change !!! If I could give a 0 for stars I would I will never set foot in this place again

My girlfriend got misgendered here and it ruined our whole day. Had to console her on a bench.

I tried a Sunday lunch. It was really quite nice, although a too much broccoli. Beef, potatoes, carrot and parsnip plus cauliflower cheese were tasty. I have tried weekday menus, such as sausage and mash, and they are not as tasty as the Sunday lunch I experienced. I once had trifle which tasted like rhubarb, which I wasn't keen on. The sausage seemed cheap. The restaurant is a good size, and accessible for disabled people and equipment such as wheelchairs. It is also clean and attractive. However, they do close early for food. Not a tea time venue.
