We had a fantastic experience here. The USP is definitely the Press for Champagne button in each booth - what a great idea! The beef wellington was perfectly cooked, and the fries perfectly salted! Staff were friendly and attentive. The only downside was that it was a little on the warm side in the restaurant. But other than that, I couldn’t recommend it more! And we will both definitely be back again!

Would I recommend to a friend or return, unfortunately not. Maybe it was a bad day for them. I’m not usually one to write reviews/complaints but this has been bothering me…. I had ordered the chateaubriand for one, medium, which was in fact medium-well done, the texture was chewy and tough to cut, I was expecting it to be tender and juicy not dry. It was mostly grey and really not what I was expecting for such an “iconic restaurant” At £49 i would have expected better :-/ I ate through 50% hoping it may get better towards the centre. I asked the waitress over and she in fact agreed it was cooked medium-well done, and went on to say that the chef usually undercooks not over cooks… After asking if I could have another she replied, no it will take too long to make and wasn’t an option. I think this is what upset me the most. She took the plate away with the rest of the steak, I ended up eating the chips, which I also found to be basic and almost oven fried, oh and they come in a cheap cardboard box :-| The chateaubriand was taken off the bill, but in all honesty I would rather be asked if I wanted something else instead as I left hungry and not fulfilled with my dinner.

My new favorite place in London! Gorgeous British restaurant situated in the heart of SoHo serving traditional dishes, and some old world/ Russian specialities. Chilled vodka, caviar, eggs. A million other options. Went there especially to try the beef Wellington. It was outstanding! A number of starters also available, including oysters. Food is top notch! Impressive wine list, including a long list of very good champagnes. Cocktails also available. The French 75 was excellent. The interior is a gorgeous and unique art deco setting. You can’t help feeling special. Service is excellent. Helpful, charming, attentive. Top marks! Will make this a regular place. Don’t miss out!

Party of 3 adults to celebrate our son’s birthday, we arrived on time and ordered promptly. Food was amazing if slow. Ordered desert and was going to press the champagne button, only to be told that we could not have desert as we had to be off our table. Nothing was mentioned when booking about a time restraint and to be honest if the service had been quicker we would have been alright. Classic case of kitchen couldn’t cope and restaurant taking too many bookings. Totally spoilt our evening. Would have better going to the Savoy for a beef wellington no way would they have said we could not order desert!!!

Outstanding service, great food, casual but sophisticated atmosphere. Really a great place and the "press for champagne" button is much appreciated and well used. Highly recommend. We were here with a mixed generation group, grandparents to teens and all had an outstanding time.

We arrived here to stop for some birthday drinks. We sat at the bar and it was a great place to catch up. The bar staff left you too it and the press for champagne was a great touch. They even brought out a birthday cake before we left with no prompt. This experience means I will be coming back with friends for drinks and dinner. It’s a beautiful surrounding too.

The restaurant was nice and service good but food disappointing. We went for the beef wellington which was ok in taste but tiny portion& misleading as the ends were cut off and it was all pastry. I’ve had better food in a pub. That aside the champagne button was a good gimmick. Wouldn’t visit again.

We were a party of four (two couples) who dined here last Saturday evening. We had all wanted to visit this beautiful restaurant for some time so we were exited and looking forward to our evening. The decor is beautiful however we were seated in the basement and to be honest it felt less inviting than upstairs, which was obviously lighter & brighter. The service was impeccable. The food was very tasty but extremely expensive, even by London standards (£70 for three small servings of caviar to share, and £49 pp for a beef wellington for two people to share). The highlight for us all was the “Press for Champagne” button. It was a fun evening but we would only return for a very special occasion as it is SO expensive.

The purpose of going to a restaurant like Bob Bob Ricard is usually to celebrate a special occasion and to have a memorable meal - and they truly cooked up an exceptional dining experience. Even for such a high-end restaurant, the ambiance was still cozy and inviting whilst remaining sophisticated in its chic decor. It goes without saying that the food was of the highest quality and tasted delicious and the service was flawless in its attention to detail - the staff were so impeccably dressed and made us feel very welcome. Highlights included the scallop, lobster and shrimp pelmeni which was intensely rich in flavour and melted in your mouth, and the BBR Signature Chocolate Glory which was luscious. It is obvious that they put a lot of meticulous thought into making and combining every element of this restaurant into a truly gastronomic delight.

What a great experience. We were here for Christmas dinner (evening). We had a large group and had a great table on the first floor. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was terrific. We'd prepaid for Christmas at a set fee and trying to make sure we ordered enough food was the only difficulty. We tried the sampling of caviars and each one was unique and wonderful. The steak tartare appetizer was one of the best I've had. I enjoyed the Chateaubriand and my sons loved the Beef Wellington for two. The champagnes were delicious and we enjoyed trying a variety. The desserts were a fine way to finish off the meal, particularly the strawberry souffle and chocolate caviar.

We have been to both Bob Bob Ricard restaurants on a number of occasions both as a couple and with friends and family, we have always loved the experience. We were therefore delighted to receive an incredibly thoughtful gift of a £200 voucher for our 30th wedding anniversary. We booked the table and even put on the booking that we had a voucher. All went well, usual great food, us usual good service. However then we came to pay and said we had a voucher. This was treated with an air of distain from our waiter. Initially thorough no fault of ours they got the voucher number wrong and couldn’t process it, my credit card was taken out of the machine when I tried to pay the balance and flung on the table. Eventually this was sorted out and I paid the balance of another £200 but recieved no apology. I assume the staff felt that perhaps we could not afford to eat a £400 meal unless we had a voucher and therefore felt it was acceptable to treat our payment as an inconvenience. This whole thing was really embarrassing and spoilt our celebration. Despite being repeat visitors who have recommended BobBob to friends and family we will not be back and if you are thinking of gifting someone a meal here spend your money somewhere else

Disappointing! Such a lovely looking restaurant, with friendly staff especially the Champagne lady, receptionist and cloakroom attendant. Sadly it would be better to have less glitz and even an average level of service. This restaurant doesn’t deliver if you are looking for any level of service, no-one checks during the meal if all is ok, whether more drinks are needed..,I get that in a pizza place! The poor service seems to stem from the management, as there are lots of people busying themselves, but no-one attentive, if you are not in a large group.

I have never had such a terrible dining experience… We have been sitting in the lower floor “basement” which looks like a club. The waiter who served us initially seemed nice and took our order, however, when I started eating my souffle I found a piece of HARD SHARP PLASTIC in my mouth!!!! This is against any Health & Safety regulations, truly ridiculous! Above all, when showed to the waiter the physical contamination he lightly said “THIS THINGS HAPPENED IN THE KITCHEN?!” We couldn't eat or drink anything else in the restaurant as we lost immediately the trust. It is not a fine dining restaurant and I would never advised to my worst enemy to dine there! We left hungry, under shock and in distress. We trusted more the Burger King across the road! Save your money and your health!

This was my third of fourth time visiting Bob Bob Ricard, but first time in the past few years, as my younger sister and i wanted to go for her birthday. Past experiences were all very decent, never stand out but easily recommendable especially for the novelty 'press for champagne' buttons.Anyway, most recently both my sister and i were highly impressed, 10/10 all round! My sister has an allergy and our waiter (Robert) was so helpful with this and finding something for her, drinks and food were also great, often not the case with more 'trendy/instagram' places- the service was beyond excellent. There are great waiters, and then there is Robert... amazing.Obviously with the pandemic i have not been dining out that much recently but Robert was easily one of the best waiters ive come across. Small things such as remembering everything we asked/needed to a t, even small things such as noticing my sister and i were taking a photo before he came to take our order/clear the table, and being so attentive.Food was all decent, nothing to fault, the novelty of the button may now have worn off but i will for sure be returning again and look forward to trying the Bob Bob Cité location too.Thank you for a great evening and for making my sister's birthday so lovely!

We booked Bob Bob Ricard for a special occasion and it lived up to it. The service was smart, attentive and professional from the get-go. The food from a fairly limited menu was excellent and good value. The venue is very atmospheric with a great ambience. Covid precautions were evident but not obtrusive so we felt very safe. As you'd expect in London, the price of the wine was exorbitant. Overall Bob Bob Ricard really helped to make the occasion special!

I was looking forward to this dinner, which was booked for a special occassion. Sadly, the expereince wasn't up to fine dining experiences elsewhere. Firstly, long waits in between courses, food arrived lukewarm (had obviously been sitting around a while!) and the bellini was all foam. The vegatarian options are really limited as the fantastic sounding dairy options (cheese souffle and truffle mac n cheese) are made with animal rennet so not veggie. Come on BBR- join the 21st century and source vegetarian cheeses! Funky decor and friendly staff but for a lukewarm (and limited) dining experience, I wouldn't return. Had really hoped it would blow my socks off given TA reviews, but it really didn't :(

Volveríamos a ir. . . .

A warm welcome upon arrival along with being swiftly taken to our table and water being served set the tone. Our booth was beautifully laid and spotlessly clean. Our serve Marco was discrete informative and very slick. We choose a vodka aperitif and perused the menu.We started with the Russian dumplings which were very traditional and light and fluffy, along with a white wine which hurrah was served in a bucket of icy water. Our experience was getting better and better. Marco knew when to slightly top our glasses - not over filling which seems to be the norm everywhere else. The little touch of good quality & warm baguette along with nice butter served in a foil round just added to the experience. We chose the classic fish and chicken pies along with various sides. Beautifully presented served with panache which made everything taste even better. The BBR chocolate pudding was a mini classical performance beautifully executed by Marco- and tasted fab.My birthday surprise desert was deliver with aplomb with a sparkler and again was delicious.Everything was cleared and served discretely. The setting was beautiful, ambience calm and sophisticated. My partner has stated that to date the was his best all round dinning experience in London and I most certainly agree.

Having been twice in the past, last night’s post lockdown visit was hugely disappointing. Not sure if the menu has been scaled back due to this, but the food choice was not huge and notably the previously amazing lobster mac and cheese which was a side had become a main. Without the portion size changing!! The lobster dumplings to start were tasty however cold. I chose the chicken Kiev simply due to what I felt was a lack of choice and limiting menu; it was okay. The chicken was quite nice but the other components on the plate were stone cold (skin had formed over the top). The truffle mash we ordered as a side was under seasoned and underwhelming. My husband and friend had the “famous” lobster mac and cheese. What a disappointment! As mentioned above it may as well have been a starter; a very small circular dish with NOTHING on the side, not even some salad. My husband said he barely found any lobster in it either.Unfortunately the drinks were also disappointing; a round of Espresso martinis had to go back. The colour was like dish water- no espresso richness, not cold enough and just watery. Terrible. Good chance they used instant coffee, it just wasn’t right. Whilst the waiter took them away and listened to the feedback, he then clearly rolled his eyes at his colleague not long after. The apology was far from genuine and we were made to feel like we were just being fussy for no reason. The service was very average- our waiter didn’t know the answer to some simple questions, including what whiskey was available and it was often slow and chaotic. And the reaction to the bad cocktails was a let down and not handled well.Overall it was hugely disappointing having previously really enjoyed the experience. It was our friend’s 40th and unfortunately it was not the special experience or atmosphere we had hoped for.

On arrival we weren't asked to register or santisise but there was sanitiser on every table. The staff were all very attentive and extremely polite. The food was good but overpriced for what it was. WE all had the Russian dumplings to start which were delicious and the lamb for main with truffle mash. My friend had the champagne pie with truffle fries. The fries tasted like cold McDonald's fries with truffle shavings sprinkled on top but the lamb was really tasty and fell off the bone. The truffle mash was nice too but very salty! The decor is beautiful and the small details like the pretty plates and 'press for champagne button' make it worth the money!

I went with two others for a birthday meal. The decor is beautiful and atmosphere cosy yet elegant. Lovely service and food but felt it was a little pricey for what arrived. The dishes were lovely british cuisine, but nothing was outstanding in flavour. The portion sizes were average and bare in mind you will need to order sides separately. I think this place is very famous for it's 'press for Champagne' button which will get you through the door, but apart from that the experience is just OK and not very great. I wouldn't rush back and I would spend my money on other high-end places in London. Also if you visit, try to request a table for upstairs as downstairs is small.

Food and drink were both top notch. Went here on a Saturday at 5:30 pm for a date night with my better half. She’s vegan so choices are always limited but at Bob Bob Ricard they had plenty of choices available for her and the food was very good as I’m told. I had the Lobster mac and cheese with truffle fries on the side whereas she had the Vegan truffle pie with fries.Special mention goes to the doorman (didn’t catch his name) when we left it was pouring down with rain and he was very chatty while we waited for our cab and helped us both keep dry with his umbrella

Lovely decor and seating arrangement - spacious booth which felt great for two people. It also had the famous “press for champagne” button! The service was immediately attentive, very professional whilst also friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of Pol Roger - served with freezer chilled flutes. The mark-up from retail price is nearly double, so very expensive, however to have it served so well in excellent surroundings was a real joy. We ordered Jersey Rock oysters, the seafood pelmeni, VSOP prawn cocktail, lobster mac & cheese and the chateaubriand with sides of mash, peas and spinach. All of the food was 5 star, delicious; apart from the lobster mac & cheese which was nice but underwhelming - it didn’t blow me away. For dessert we ordered the creme brulee and the chocolate glory, both moreish with great flavour. The only disappointing hiccup was that the choc glory “gold ball” didn’t melt whilst the waiter poured the hot sauce over it - not sure what happened but we presume the sauce wasn’t hot enough. To finish we each had a shot of the -18C lemon infused vodka; smooth, strong and very palatable. All in all this was, as my partner said, “one of the best meals I’ve ever had”. A 4.5 star review (shame I can’t give the half star in the score) due to the underwhelming lobster mac and cheese and the dessert hiccup, but I would definitely recommend without hesitation.

The atmosphere and decor of this restaurant is amazing! It’s beautiful to look at, spacious and comfortable which I really enjoyed. For me though, I’ve had better food for the price, and think they could have been much more generous with portion sizes for simple sides such as carrots and parsnips. Three mistakes were made by our waiter and we were more than kind about them all, but at one point when presented with a Fish dish (which I don’t eat), I politely advised I’d not ordered it and was told I had done, I appreciate waiting can be tough, but if a mistake has been made it’s bad form to blame the customer in my view. Other than that, an all round nice experience, but I think for the money you can get better value in Central London personally.

Booked ahead of arriving in London for a weekend with my partner and was not disappointed ! The service, food and decor were fantastic. First the service , as for me they are a huge part of the experience. Warm, welcoming , attentive and unobtrusive. Full of advice and very knowledgable. I am not a vodka fan however, based on their recommendation I ordered the (straight) Russian vodka and caviar to start - wow ! The rest of the meal did not disappoint either , my OH ordered the lobster mac and cheese - gorgeous and testament to how much he enjoyed it , we have tried to recreate the dish at home to not a bad standard :) For the decor think orient express . I love Art Deco so thought it was ab stunning. You have the opportunity to be seated in a booth with .... a button to press for champagne ! I loved that and pressed the button several times as you can imagine . (I bet there have been a few over excited repeat presses during a visit ! )As Alexis Gauthier said ‘it’s the most fun you can have in a restaurant’. We will def return.

One of my favourite restaurants in London.Who Is It For:Perfect for any occasion, I have been here for treat lunches, friend or family birthday's and romantic meals.Due to the booth and seating arrangements I would say it it best for 2-6 people.Food Quality: 5/5This particular time we had the beef wellington which it for two people and is a very generous portion, we ordered sides of mash and chips, the mash is very smooth and cheesy and the fries are thin American fries.I have also had the beef roast and that was just as dreamy.Service: 5/5.They have really got it right here, that perfect balance of attentiveness without being a pest, each person that walks through the door is made to feel important and staff are very knowlageable on the menu and will happily answer any questions or concerns you have.Decor: 5/5Simply Stunning, Everything looks extravagant, trimmed with gold and glam vibesThere are different rooms, blue, red and private - blue is my favourite,Most tables are a booth with it's very own 'press for champagne' button.Instagram Rating: 5/5Very instagramable, the photo opportunities and boomerangs are endless! What To Wear: Literally anything, a nice dress, a suit, or the classic jeans and a nice top/jumper/shirt.What I Wore: A AllSaints jumper, ribbed leggings, heeled boots.

We went as four friends. Lovely calm dining room with some lovely decor. Service efficient and friendly. The food was ok, but not that imaginative for the price. The pies were overpriced and had the touch of the gastropub about them. All perfectly tasty in an unadventurous sort of way. Desserts were pleasant, but overpriced. Twelve quid for some rice pudding....... Most of the food I could work out in seconds how to reproduce at home.We enjoyed ourselves, but £100ish a head for basically quite standard food and not much wine seemed a bit steep.

Thankful our dinner table was on the ground floor which is much nicer. The food and cocktails are delicious. First time experience and visit this restaurant for a table of 2 persons. Upon entry we were taken to our seats and had our jackets locked away safely for us. The menu items are expensive for what you actually get in return and in my opinion not worth it. Small portions however the food was very tasty and arrived quickly to the table. I really enjoyed the creme brûlée flamed at the table, that was different. Probably would visit again in future and choose something else from the menu. The staff were attentive and looked after you, quick to deliver, clear table, offer the dessert menu and ask if you would like anything else? Service charge on receipt is discretion optional. We live halftime between NYC and London(since 2012) as we have a townhouse in Kensington and understand the drinks are not as good as NYC, its a given re drinks and food. However, there are still places we love in London and always want to find new places. While places CAN be busy, lets be honest, they're never as bus as NYC places. Keeping this in mind, as we walked in to Bob, we were told we only had 35 minutes AT THE BAR. We had said we only want to get a drink, yet they wanted us ONLY 35 MINUTES! When we went to the bar and 7 seats were available, we expressed our confusion. Ok, so we order our drinks. Sugar water with no alcohol (re ordered one of them twice due to a bug in the first one and the 2nd one being half filled). We left after drinking our sugar water and mentioned that the bar was literally empty (no reason to have left at the 35 minute mark, now over 1 hour later), and the hostess with glasses (Elaine/Layna?) snapped back and said, "look at the bookings!" We continued to walk out and will not return. Horrible service, horrible drinks. Its too bad, the place could be nice.

What a fabulous venue for a special celebration! We were celebrating our Godson’s graduation along with our family and wanted to find somewhere a bit different that would provide a special memory for all of us. We were not disappointed. This is a very glitzy restaurant, especially on the lower-ground floor, with the appearance of an upmarket nightclub. The menu was delicious, the Beef Wellington was incredible, the service was attentive but never over-bearing. But the best thing of all was the Champagne button on each table.......as soon as the button was pressed a waiter in black-tie appeared to take your order. Perfect! We spent almost four hours at our table and enjoyed a truly first-class evening. The price tag was high, but the value delivered warranted it. My immediate reaction after our visit ( 4 of us for lunch) was that it is living on its reputation but does not, ultimately, deliver. It makes boasts about the champagne but careful reading of the wine list indicated limited, expensive and unexciting choices (£13.50 for 125cl of a very ordinary Moet which retails in the supermarkets for approx £40 suggests a very high mark up even by west end standards). The service was slow and inattentive- maybe because we were not ordering champagne? The starters ( salmon tartare, vareniki, egg st Petersburg) were absolutely fine but ordinary. The main courses ( chicken kiev, sole and the chicken pie) were unadventurous in delivery; .the chicken was dry, the pie was - well a pie. I have cooked better at home. Two of us had the souffles which suspiciously did not begin to collapse when the sauce was spooned in and flaming a creme brulee at the table is unnecessary and pretentious but then telling the person 'not to eat it until the flames have gone' is patronising! We had pre lunch drinks and two bottles of Cote du Rhone which were fine although they need to update their wine list as they are out of stock of the advertised 2017 wine. The bill for four of us ( including tip) came to approx £350.In summary I am not sure just who is the target market especially when one considers the excellent and innovative restaurants in London which offer more exciting food. Even the plush decor felt out of touch with current trends.

Beautiful cocktails but a complete boys club. Staff exclusively addressed my husband and not me. They expected him to order for us both, asked him how the drinks were, thanked him as he left. I may as well not have been in the room. I appreciate that the vibe is old fashioned but this isn't the 1800s and it's pretty astonishing to not be addressed or even glanced at once.
