Only in town for one night and tried this cafe for breakfast. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Nice cooked breakfast, good selection and arrived hot. Good quality produce at a reasonable price.

Great spot especially with children for a stopover either for those on a long trip or coming back home. Great par, seating area, lovely service manners, nice, normal foods inc dinners if required. I had kids portion poached eggs. Outdoor seats, park toilets only and GF bread available. Will pop in next time I’m back from Wales. Better than expensive service station!

6 of us went for breakfast and were all very impressed. Huge choice of breakfasts from English, Scottish, Mediterranean, and lots of non-fried options. The place is spotless, friendly staff and the food was served hot, something which so many places seem to struggle with. Will be back very soon.

Only found this place a few weeks ago and have been twice already. Yes it is quite basic (and that's the only reason I've marked it down), but it's a nice setting right on the edge of the boating lake. Nice walk into town and then back to the cafe for a spot of lunch. Very nice toasties with a lovely fresh salad garnish and a few crisps. Very tasty and plenty of filling. Nice cup of coffee as well. Saw other people's food and it looked yummy - jacket potatoes, cheesy chips etc. The barista is really friendly and polite and can't do enough to help. Adding this to our list of places to go for lunch. A great little find.

We popped in for breakfast as our usual place was only serving takeaway. I wish I had read the reviews first which are spot on and avoided like the plague. Guy behind the counter wouldn’t know customer service if it bit him in the butt, completely disinterested and couldn’t give a toss. Ordered two breakfasts, latte and a tea to the tune of nearly £20 which I normally would not batter an eyelid at and an extra full charge to change black pudding for bacon (last time I checked black pudding was a meat and would have assumed like for like exchange) My latte was actually a cappuccino then arrived the pitiful breakfasts, I actually wanted to walk out there and then everything was awfully cooked and I’ve never seen a breakfast so depressive looking however the mushrooms were something else deep fat fried to within an inch of life then papped in a Bain Marie to die further!! Best part of the experience was leaving

Thought we would try out the boating lake cafe for breakfast now that its reopened, albeit not the same people, ordered two large scottish with tea and coffee and when it arrived felt a little deflated as the old owners served a substantial sized breakfast. Breakfast was quite small only 1 of everything and no beans. Definately was not value for money seeing as i paid almost £20 for 2 breakfasts. Prices need to be lowered. Shall not be returning

We went to this cafe recently, it sounded good and indeed, the location is very pleasant. The staff are however, apathetic and couldn't give a damn about customer service. We ordered two breakfasts, one veggie and one with sausage and bacon and two coffees. The gentleman who took the order couldn't have been more disinterested, either that or the music was too loud for him to be able to hear. We got one coffee, one tea, tea bag left in the cup, and when the breakfasts arrived both were the meat options. I again asked for the veggie option and with a brief display of displeasure, the server took my plate away and in front of the customers in the cafe asked the gentleman behind the counter if I had asked for a veggie breakfast. He of course lied and replied "No." My veggie breakfast arrived and it did look like the whole plate had been cooked fresh, the hash brown tasted suspiciously of bacon fat. Great! VEGGIE BREAKFASTS are offered on your menu guys!! The mushrooms held the piece de resistance though, an unwelcome bit of compost under the last slice of mushroom as if to prove they were real and not from a tin. A brief display of bum scratching from behind the counter, then pulling up his underpants while looking through his mobile phone, kind of supported the piece of compost on my plate. Why anyone would want to eat here is beyond me. The staff are unfriendly and despite the surroundings, the place suggests nothing better than a transport cafe.

My pals and I make our way after playing golf or after swimming at Corby International Pool . Great food ..Great coffee . Great music ( 60s ) and Great service by Dom and crew. The cafe is spotlessly clean with lovely views of the wildlife on the lake . A pleasant seating area outside for those who prefer to eat alfresco. A comprehensive menu for snacks or lunch and a varied array of ice creams makes this the perfect eatery

Unfortunately I can't give a minus score. We travelled one and a half hours especially to go to this cafe. We got there at 12.20pm The menu looked great, we ordered at 12.25pm. We asked for 2 cooked breakfasts as we could see people had just been given theirs and they looked good. The server told me that they had stopped serving breakfasts. I pointed out the menu said breakfast served until 1pm and it was only 12.25pm, he said he was aware of this but the manager had said no more breakfasts. We then looked at the menu and saw that they did an all day brunch with the same ingredients as the breakfast so we asked if he would do that. The server went to the kitchen and after some conversation he returned to say they would do a brunch.....but only the small one, not the big one. We pointed out that the brunch was the same ingredients as the breakfast....egg, bacon etc. The server agreed. What a very strange experience. We could only eat what the chef decided he wanted us to eat ! No breakfast but same in brunch.....but only small, not big....do they not want the money?? I have to say both the servers were excellent and polite, we felt that despite them going into the kitchen their hands were tied, they knew we should have been getting what we requested, we could her the server asking the chef on our behalf and the grumblings from the chef in the kitchen. In the end we left, very poorly run, we drove from Hertfordshire for it, very unprofessional. We ended up driving a couple of mins to the Corby Tesco and had a great breakfast there...I would recommend the Tesco for food in this area. Very Strange, I would not recommend this cafe at all, VERY bad customer service !

Popped in here with my two boys for breakfast they enjoyed the snack bag which has a sandwich, drink & a piece of fruit. I had the scrambled egg on toast which could’ve been nicer, the eggs were watery as they’d been cooked in the microwave there was no seasoning in them and my toast was soggy because of the eggs.

Loads of choice with great food cooked to perfection and just as you like it. The new owner really has stamped his identity on the cafe and nothing is too much trouble when it comes to fussy eaters. I frequent this cafe whenever I am in the area and can honestly say I have never been disappointed, fab food, great service and a real credit to the area. I would recommend this cafe to anyone whether it be for a big breakfast, coffee and cake or a casual lunch. Well done keep up the great work.

On route to Kirkby Hall in Corby from an overnight stop near Cambridge I saw this well-reviewed eatery on TripAdvisor. It was only ten minutes or so from our destination so we decided to try it out. Very full breakfast menu (including a 'build your own' breakfast!). Main meals all seem to include a hot drink and two rounds of toast and all very well priced. My Special Breakfast was excellent as was my wife's 'build your own'. Clearly a favourite with local bikers and locals, it was very well patronised when we were there between 11 and 12 this Sunday morning. Nice open air seating area if the weather is favourable and its own car park. On the outskirts of Corby at Weldon, easy to find in the High Street. Good children's offerings too. Happy to endorse recommendation!

The carvery was ok bu you don't get to choose your veg,the price was £5 more than the raven pub and there you can choose your veg, I unfortunately cannot eat a plate full of veg that time of day, because that's all it is .

Used to be a fab little fish and chip shop. Been times over the years with various change in owners. Not sure what has happened in last few months but quality seems have gone down especially the chips. Perhaps new potato supplier needed or change of cooking fat?
