Not great. Food was just about ok although the mixed grill meat was overcooked! Staff were young and more interested in their phones. During the course of our meal empty glasses built up on the bar, and it was quite sometime before they were cleared. Pretty much what to expect from a holiday camp restaurant where young staff are employed on bare minimum wage. Considering the prices, I think it is fair to expect better! Penny pinching management are to blame 😤

Was welcomed immediately by lovely staff member Louise. Food to be ordered by app which by the time you have loaded a different app and put all your details in etc the order could have been given to staff 3 times over at least. I wasn't then sure if the order had even gone through as it said it had but money hadn't gone from bank. I appreciate it is end of season but to have no sugar drinks is ridiculous. I know sugar tax is high and I am prepared to pay it as only have full sugar drink as a treat and as on holiday I wanted a treat. I drink water and no sugar squash normally as HATE sugar free drinks. My partner wanted a lager shandy and they had absolutely no lager at all! When the food came garlic cheesy bread was gorgeous, fries were nice. Burger was ok but I left most of it as slightly overdone for my liking and very dry. Some lovely locals though and the lovely staff made it a good visit but please stock some sugar drinks and lager!

I thought that everything on the menu was very overpriced for what the overall dish was, on average, for 2 meals was £36.00. We waited for almost 1 hour for the food to arrive. When the food finally arrived it didn't look appetizing at all, it didn't taste great in my opinion- the flavours were very bland and underwelming and tasteless, I thought that my food was quite greasy which made it unpleasent to eat. Someone who also went to this restaurant with me ordered a blackcurrent squash for a drink and she described it as being "really watery" and "couldn't really taste the flavour, only really the water". The service was "terrible, not a friendly service, miserable atmosphere" according to another person I attended the restaurant with, looking around everyone looked unhappy in there- probably due to the long waiting times; I also noticed that it wasn't just us who had to wait for ages. The tables were sticky and it didn't seem like it had been cleaned as there was also crumbs scattered around. So overall, we left this resuraunt feeling disapointed as the prices and the long waiting time was definately not worth the quality of food we recived.

We only had a drink, so it would be unfair to comment, but it seemed really nice, but can get busy in high season IMO.

Just had a meal with my partner. we ordered burgers and fries plus 2 pepsis .at a cost of almost £50 ? waited 1hr for food to arrive. small portions fries where cold. burger was mediocre at best. would not recommend this place to anyone.

Louise was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her when I spilt my drink she helped come and clean up straight away and refilled my drink up with no stress

Service with a smile Louise is pleasant and friendly breakfast was great and a large mocha to wash it down would highly recommend and will be back for the lunch menu helpful service and laid back atmosphere.

So glad we stopped by this place this morning very clean and tidy served by Louise who was always smiling and singing nothing was to much trouble so will defiantly be coming back best breakfast I’ve had in a while great value for money

Ordered a brekky and it took 45+ mins to arrive, but the service is friendly! Food is good value and the kid thoroughly enjoyed pancakes.

We had an evening meal for family of four. Parkdean signature burger was tasty and well presented. A bit small portion of cream slaw, but overall well balanced. The half roast chicken with hot peri peri dip was also very nice and balanced. The starland burger from kids menu was the same size as adults burger 😁 Good selection of drinks, espresso martini and berry mojito absolutely fabulous and not too pricey. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere Overall very positive experience

We had 3 evening meals & one breakfast here during our stay. Very well served by friendly helpful staff who were cleaning & clearing regularly. Part of the restaurant is also dog friendly. The food is the usual, pizza, burgers, fish & chips etc. but they also do a lovely noodle dish. The breakfast went down a treat & the Sunday lunch (we had in the evening) was one of the best I've ever eaten. The beef was excellent & plentiful, so tender. I wish I had asked how they do their parsnips, (I'm not usually a fan) but these were sooo good. We were served quickly (after ordering at our table. Via the app) only one evening was a 40min wait, but we were told that when we ordered so not a problem.

I went for breakfast ORDERED On App Breakfast came with extra items paid for never got Ordered decaff coffee got normal so sent back came back was disgusting and cold I did complain said nothing can because Ordered on App Was last week still waiting got them to sort it

Had an early morning Mega Breakfast which was plentiful, really tasty and cheaper than most other places in West Bay which considering we sat in a nice warm restaurant, out of the rain with table service from very pleasant staff was perfect.

The staff were absolutely fantastic with our family, very friendly & accommodating (even going above & beyond to make our young children happy) Food was lovely & would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat with their family Thank you to the staff for making our experience so enjoyable

Live locally but just popped in for a drink and something to eat with friends. Was very impressed with the staff, very helpful, friendly and efficient. It can be a tough job and I guess early season but they are smashing it👏

The place was half full and we waited over an hour for our food. The food was not nice at all and over priced.

Lovely on site restaurant. You can also order pizza to your seat at the entertainment tables. Really handy with hungry kids

The only reason I'm giving a 3 is because the food was sooooo hit & miss. One of the bar team called imy was very aggressive/defensive all of the time, like you were going complaint everytime you went to the bar. Not needed when you just want a holiday

Very dissapointed …..paid for Fried Chicken Noddles , intially they given me only simple noddles without chicken , when I went to ask where is the chicken they said they will sort it out , after 2 minutes a young girl came and put the chicken on the table and left, very dissapointing. Hygiene very bad , next to us a lady come with her dog and she put her dog on the table , after she left the staff did not bothered to clean the table …

Great for children, the dogs loved it ❤️

Friendly staff,and lovely atmosphere

The kids had pepperoni pizza and it was so spicy we had to take all of it off. We had the pineapple pizza and it really wasn't very nice at all so we only ate here the one time out of our 1 week stay. But nice friendly staff.

Speed of service was extremely poor, some of the bar staff were just lazy. This is a pity because the campsite is brilliantly placed.

Very disappointing & we won't be bothering to eat or drink there again, which is a shame as we're regular Parkdean holidymakers. Food was overcooked, tuff, burnt & like it'd been kept warm under a hotplate for some time or/ & had been microwaved & the side salad had brown, black & shriveled salad leaves & old dry beetroot, so parts inedible. My husband had the gammon that comes with egg, chips & peas, but the egg was hard & solid & didn't taste great, the gammon was tuff & the peas were like bullets/ rocks, & no meat knives or sauces. Yet the exact same day & time last year I had exactly the same meal (& drink) of lasagne which comes with salad & garlic bread & it was then really nice but this time the food, drinks, service & staff attitude & cleanest was terrible. The tables were flithly & all other tables looked the same too & while we were there I saw no staff attempt to clean any of the table, & there were cigarette butts & bits of food everywhere which was attracting the seaguls. Plus they had run out of cider even though it was only about 7pm on a wednesday evening & it wasn't even like it was that busy. They were knowingly serving fizzy drinks with no fizz as my husband ordered me a double Malibu with sugar free cola, but he noticed it had no fizz so complained (which other customers were doing too), so they said they'd fix that & did another but when it got to me it again had no fizz & it tasted bad, so I wouldn't drink it, so we showed & gave it to the same member of staff that did the orginal order & he said he'd bring us over a replacement, but he never came back as promised. While waiting for my drink our food then turned up extremly quickly & as a ex assistant chef I cannot understand how our food could of been properly/ correctly cooked in that time, unless shortcuts were made by using a microwave or/ & hot plate, so we asked that member of staff where was my drink & he said he'd find out, but he never came back either. We had to eat our awful food with no drink for me as if my husband had left his food to again ask where my drink was the seaguls would've got the food. So once we'd finished eating my husband went to find out where was my drink that we'd already paid for & the member of staff said they weren't going to do us a replacement drink as they didn't want to waste anymore Malibu as they couldn't get any fizz as they'd have to get someone out to fix it, but no one ever came to tell us that or give us a refund or offer us a alternative drink. So my husband moaned that we'd already paid for it yet they weren't going to bother giving us any drink or even bother to let us know, so begrudgingly the member of staff said "oh I suppose we could use a bottle" of cola instead, why they couldn't have just done that in the first place I don't know! But upon tasting it I doubt it was sugar-free (so obviously that's not good if your diabetic). There seemed to be only 2 active members of staff taking orders, serving drinks, bring out food & drinks orders, & collecting plates (but never cleaning the table), & it might not be connected but a female member of uniformed staff was doing nothing & socialising with customers they clearly knew. We weren't the only customers complaining & we heard many other customer's saying they wouldn't come back again, which we won't either, especially as there are so many other dog friendly pubs/ restaurants in West Bay.

Loved my experience here - with the Parkdean app you can easily order direct to your table, the staff are friendly and the food is amazing :)

Standard Pub/Bar, but everyone is happy as they're on a holiday or break service. Good staff friendly also

I feel like the menu needs a bit more variety it's very much like a wetherspoons, quite basic, cheap and cheerful.

The 20% discount app is not easy to use and most people end up paying cash. Very unlikely to ever visit this place again so it is rather irrelevant.

We had a weekend stay at the holiday park, and the food at the Boathouse was amazing with great service from the bar staff

A clean establishment because no one uses it. Now I know why. Food arrived 50 minutes after ordering, when the population in the restaurant was 8 people max. When the food arrived, half of what was advertised, wasn’t on the plate. I’m aware there’s a cost of living crisis, but they could have at least turned on the microwave to heat up my Tesco value meal. Not the greatest experience, especially the professionalism of the staff, who were publicly advertising they were hungover for their shift. I’m aware it’s a holiday destination, but it seems the staff think they are holiday too…

absolutely rubbish staff,so rude and just ignore everybody had to wait over an hour for the food to come, when it arrived pizza was all burnt and staff was complaining and being rude about using cash,no cutlery on table had to get it ourselves doesn’t deserve a star

On my second visit to this fabulous gen-Z run restaurant I already had my coping mechanisms turned on but they were still full of surprises. The staff is so bad that they must be fed by their own Chef. Perhaps they show off to one another on TikTok of how bad of a service a customer is able to tolerate before they go jumping off a cliff. I give the second star because I guess if you are into survival extreme sports or simply like to experience 'The Cuckoo's Nest' vibes for yourself this is a MUST SEE!

Usual holiday park type bar with a bit of a nautical theme. Has a nice patio area outside with plenty of tables and seemed to be dog friendly also. We sat inside and had dinner our first evening. Prices and portions are about what you’d expect for a holiday park chain pub. Not bad but not great. The stone baked pizza menu was not available. We were told only after ordering there would be a 40 minute wait for food, with hindsight I wish we’d cancelled and left at that point. My chilli was good but my mums steak was so salty it was almost inedible. The two portions of chilldren’s nuggets had some burnt ones. And one meal was forgotten entirely which resulted in a further 10-15 minute wait for that person, during which time the waitress chased the kitchen staff multiple times. The only thing not dropping this to a one star review was how great and apologetic the waiting staff and the manager were for their mistakes. They owned them, apologised, discounted the bill without us even asking, and were very good about the whole thing. That being said while the service was excellent the food wasn’t. So I doubt we’ll be back.

Je moet heel lang wachten de bediening is heel sloom en en kijken erg boos. Ze zijn niet aardig en doen gewoon alsof je er niet bent. Daarnaast is de koffie flauw en moesten we voor 4 bakjes koffie wel 30 minuten wachten. Geen aanrader.

Attached to the Park Dean Holiday park, was the restaurant and bar. There is a tiled section where dogs can go and carpeted area for non dog customers. The place has not changed since our last visit. Now you can order by phone app which does take away the queues that always seemed to exist on our previous visits. Last time we went we felt that the bar area and food was understaffed. Now there is no one queuing, things flowed a lot better. The menu was reduced and although tasty and a good price we only opted to eat there once. West bay generally is quite expensive to eat out so they are good value for money, we just wanted some different choice on the menu. We were going to go there for breakfast daily but as we found out on the first morning that the restaurant only opens for breakfast on Monday, Friday & Saturdays and it is 9am. Taking into account that there can be 30 min wait for food, and you have to exit the park by 10 as Friday, Monday and Saturday are departure days, I would have thought 8am would be more reasonable opening time. So we chose other options for food. We canot comment on the breakfasts this time

Food is ok. Portion sizes are as expected in the main. Be aware of side dishes - the fries cost £3.50 and you get a very small portion (dipping bowl sized). You have to order from the app which can make special requests (no cheese on kids burger) challenging. Staff are overworked so it's hard to speak to them. Restaurant closes promptly at 9 - so if there's been a delay with your food make sure you get your dessert order in while you're still eating, they will not prompt you. It's advertised outside as a Costa - however it's just a dispenser machine - like you get in petrol stations. Not great quality coffee/hot chocolate
