Friendly staff, lots of drink options & the outside seating area looking out at Lake Windermere is glorious. Can't wait to come back when we're next in Bowness.

Incredible bar with insane cocktails for a holiday with friends. We went to two nights of our holiday one night just for drinks the other for a pizza too which for £15 was devine! We had the goats cheese pizza and blue cheese and chicken

Had a pizza and beer virgin experience voucher, have to say best pizza I've eaten and Luke couldn't do enough for us. We had had an issue booking it he solved all our issues. Thank you Luke

Enjoyed a “krafternoon”, with beer and pizza which was a Xmas gift from our kids. Despite turning up early we were welcomed and looked after by Luke, who epitomises what hospitality should be all about. Thank you Luke 😊

Arrived to meet friends - disappointed by member of staff who served us - rude and dismissive - who also then proceeded to sit with other staff at a customer table and vape +++ - I find this very unprofessional and as a respiratory nurse a hazard to future health.

One of our favourite bars in Bowness. Fabulous views, very well set our bar. The pizzas are great and large choice of beers.

Spent a good few hours in this dog friendly bar, was lucky as 5 year anniversary so a couple of beers/lagers on offer so cheaper afternoon. Ordered salami and chorizo pizza and pesto garlic bread which was lovely, definitely recommend. Views of the marina are amazing and we were lucky enough to see jets flying over the lake which made the afternoon. Will definitely be back.

Lovely views from this pub make it a pleasant experience to sit and relax and have a drink. Had a pot of tea earlier in the day and it was great with the views etc, so we went back for a couple of Boaters Blonde ale's later in the day. Unfortunately, this is were it went downhill. They only do two cask and we thought we'd sample one of them which would be ok if it were not cloudy and flat. I'm sure the response would be if we asked we could of changed them, but its just frustrating to be served them in the first place.

Are always drop in bar when in Bowness. Selection of local beers is standout and the pizza is really good too. Thanks for a great Thursday evening.

Decent pizza. Defo. Decent tunes. For sure. Decent staff. You get me. Decent vibes. You feel me. I’d prefer to ‘score’ 3.5 over 3 but can’t.

It was a threatening experience. One customer was allowed access to the bar and balcony yet had an XL Bully dog without muzzle and off the lead. When the owner was challenged by my wife after the dog roamed freely by our table and pee’d under the feet of people on the table next to us the owner became abusive. A member of staff (Kyle) came over and instead of recognising and challenging the illegality of the dogs management by its owner he chose to indulge himself in being offensive to us for questioning the dog’s status. Other customers expressed their fear and concern about the way this dog was allowed to roam illegally. It is my opinion that staff and in particular this member of staff need to be made aware of legal requirements and support the safety and welfare of customers from a recognised dangerous breed of dog. The vast majority of dogs are legal but some do have to comply with legal constraints, The business must recognise the difference and have a policy to deal with this threat to safety.

As always, tasty fresh pizza and good choice of drinks. The outside seating area in summer is lovely with good views of the water.

Amazing place - fab food and drinks, we come back regularly. Only gripe is a pervy barman who serves young girls while others are waiting and sends over free shots to groups of girls while everyone else is left paying! Won’t put me off coming again…. Just slightly frustrating!

What a fun cool place to spend an afternoon in the sunshine. This place has it all, draught pint, cocktails, food, pub games and a DJ and did I mention two sun terraces one over looking the lake and it serves food. Fun for all ages

Very large bar with a lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the lake. The drinks were good and the menu was just pizza which we didn’t try. Bar was very clean and had a good vibe with good staff

The pizza is so good here. Served in boxes so nice and relaxed. Really good selection too. Beer and views are good too! Always quite busy.

Called in on a Friday night for a few drinks. Ended up staying a good few hours, getting a nachos with pulled pork and pizza to split between us. The pizza was fine - I’d describe it as average. The nachos with pulled pork were delicious. Live entertainment. Decent drinks. And shuffleboard. All in all a nice relaxed modern place and I’d happily go back.

Cool bar with view over a marina and views over windermere. A few bar game's but really main highlight is the craft beer by Northern monkey. ( pizza is cool aswell) xxx

Went for pizza and a few drinks, As they are dog friendly. We ordered the spicey pizza. There was lots of filling. The base was nice and crispy. And we also enjoyed the pail ale. A nice welcoming place

Great place - right on Windermere, amazing selection of craft beers and house gins, Sebastian really looked after me - taste tested the house gins - definitely worth a visit, I’ll be back for sure….

An amazing place for gluten free pizza! Hand made base and very tasty. Too big to eat all at once so brought half home with us… Would highly recommend.

Nice cosy bar with a nice vibe. Lovely and warm. Nice views over the marina. Clean toilets. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Would definitely visit again. The place is dog friendly which is great for dog owners but as we are not, it's not always great having dogs jumping up on you when you are having a quiet drink. It also put us off eating here so we went elsewhere for food. Maybe a dog free zone could be considered?

Ideal spot for a pint on the deck out back, over looking the lake with the sunsetting , best views you could ask for. Staff were amazing and super helpful when we asked for a dog bowl and dietary requirements!

A group of 4 of us came into Boaters in the summer - we all had pizza and a few drinks, it was perfect! Good views, food was amazing and all the staff created a great atmosphere which we didn’t find was the case in some of the other local bars in Bowness! Thank you for a great day!

We hosted our staff party at boaters recently! The food was incredible. We choose the sharing platters which came with several cheeses and meats on and we had pre ordered pizzas. The pizzas just kept coming, with so many nice flavours to choose from! Highly recommend anyone to order the nachos, they are the best in bowness! All the staff are so friendly, and the cocktails are great too. We will return x

We only went in for drinks and ended up playing shuffleboard for about an hour which was great fun. Pub was nice and staff friendly but it was cold in there. Weather was cold outside but despite us being in there an hour or so we never warmed up. Other than that thoroughly enjoyed it.

I visited Boaters Bar with my husband and 18-month old daughter on a very snowy Monday and it was the perfect refuge from the cold. There was a good selection of drinks, including some different hot chocolates like black forest flavour, gingerbread, and white. The pizza was very tasty and came already in a box so we could take it away with us easily. The staff were very nice and friendly, and the setting was ideal right on the lake. I'd highly recommend the bar. Note however that the car park opposite doesn't have any parking option under 4 hours which is £4.90 so it was expensive to park for about an hour.

Went a couple of times, once during the early day-time and another on an early evening. Really nice vibes, huge drinks menu with a great selection. Staff very attentive (on all 4 times going to the bar got asked at least 4 times each if I was being served which is a rarity. Nice and speedy. Didn't get food, but saw some others had which looked very nice.

Usually a reliable place for a drink and food but we ordered a rum for the drink to be full of flys. We took it back for the replacement to be the same. In the end they offered us a different rum as a replacement but no compensation. Terrible hygiene

Great place to chill out and have a bite to eat or drink overlooking the lake, alternatively you can sit inside which is extremely spacious & quirky inside. Their own beer which is called boats and hose was lovely. Highly recommend.
