Blundell Arms in Bolton

First time here and was blown away how stunning it is. Was welcomed by a lovely staff member who seemed so happy to see us and he showed us to a table with a view. Ordered from the lunch menu and had the steak sandwich which was cooked perfectly followed by a really nice apple tart. Was my first visit but won't be my last x

Saw the All trails promotion advertised and decided to take up the offer of a free breakfast. Had a lovely family walk then 4 of us had a full breakfast each. Service was great even though the restaurant was packed and the staff were very attentive. Great varied menu which i was pleasantly surprised by. Food was delicious and even though it was free i would happily have paid as it was so good. We will definately be back

Beautiful spot only 25 mins drive from Trafford Centre area, ideal for loads of walks with the dog. Great for a little pit stop before going on around Rivington Pike. We had breakfast and the staff were really helpful and food was fab.

We saw the advertisement for the alltrails app and thought we would try it. Even though we hadn't booked and the advertisement for the deal was wrong, they managed to find a table for us and accepted our steps as proof. It was a lovely breakfast and lovely staff. We always come to the Blundell but never thought of it as a place for breakfast. Would come again!

We were well looked after by Luke and Jenna. There was plenty on the sharing boards (starters) we ordered and the food was tasty and hot. Our main courses were varied -steak, burgers, and apork special dish - All thoroughly enjoyed. This is a place we enjoy coming back to as often as we can.

We had a lovely breakfast, also the service was very good. Very friendly staff we were served by Matt but also the lady who was cleaning was very friendly and chatty, it’s a while ago since we visited but will definitely be returning.

Visiting from Hertfordshire, we popped in for a cheeky pint. The Green King ale was superb and served with a cheery smile and friendly banter. The decor is a mix of old-world charm with a modern twist and very comfortable and relaxing. We didn't eat this time but will the next visit.

Last minute lunch out with the family today. Matthew reserved us a table in the bar area after we enquired about heading down with 2 dogs and 2 children. Nothing was too much trouble. Greeted by Matthew at the door with a welcoming smile followed by a lovely meal. Relaxing atmosphere, dog friendly and great Guinness! Our new go to local for sure 👌 Thanks again Matthew 🙌

Oven chips. Says it all really. Promises a lot, delivers sn average pub meal. Service was average to be kind. Lovely view in the summer, but that's the best bit.

Made a booking for a couple because we had heard of some good reports about breakfast. We had a full English breakfast and a farmers breakfast along with two coffees. The food and drinks arrived quickly and the food was excellent. Very hot and good quality . The service was excellent provided by Natalie and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone, thank you 😄

Lovely restaurant, food was delicious. Prosecco was flat but was immediately changed for a fizzy one. Belle was a lovely waitress for us, made sure we had everything we needed quickly.

Went to meet some friends for a meal .I haven't been since it's been done up and wow it's lovely the outside and the inside beautifully done .We all ordered different dishes and everyone agreed the food was lovely I had a lovely pie didn't like the chips but that was just me but we could not fault anything the puddings were delicious the service was faultless always there when you needed something .I would definitely recommend you go and visit and check it out for yourself .Reasonable prices great food lots of drink choices for families and couples and groups and there is also a lovely outdoor area with heating .

Fantastic Sunday lunch at The Blundell Arms. Lovely outside seating area with fantastic views and heaters for a drink before going through to the restaurant, to be greeted by Matt and looked after by Belle. Great beer, great food, lovely wine ( Carmenere) snd a great experience all round.

The atmosphere was busy but relaxing. Matthew and his team were welcoming, helpful and attentive. The food was amazing!! The trio roast was perfect! Though we didn’t have much room we had coffee and a small cake, just enough to finish dinner! Will definitely be back! 5* all the way.

Managed to call in after a long dog walk for a few drinks just before they closed for refurbishment. Blundell do dog friendly properly unlike other places. Atmosphere is relaxed but professional and staff friendly but not false. Food has been consistently good over recent years and great choice of drinks. Well done Matthew and the team. The wine list has a quality selection to suit all budgets, and is always perfectly served. This place is perfect for an intimate romantic date night, a family get-together, a catch up with friends, or even a large party. Booking is recommended, especially at weekends when it becomes popular with those finishing off a fresh walk across the Rivington moor, Walker Fold Woodland Estate or the Horrocks Fold and Smithills walking circuits. Being dog friendly in the bar areas, also encourages plentiful visitors, at the weekends particularly. Our experience was a pleasure from start to finish. A gentleman called Matt greeted us at the lectern and sat us all down without fuss. We have been visiting The Blundell for many years and class ourselves as regulars. If you’ve never visited this country pub, then your missing out! The pub has loads of character as it retains many original features it’s always warm and toasty in winter months and you always feel very relaxed there, due to the ambiance and staff! So here’s goes. Matthew and the team always make guests feel welcome and you are always greeted as you come through the door which much enthusiasm. From the bar staff to the staff that serve food you always feel that nothing is to much trouble. What we absolutely love is because we are regulars, the bar staff know our names and what we drink, which to me is attention to detail! The pub is undergoing significant refurbishment, it has only been closed a week and we missing the service and team already. Can’t wait to return. Mark & Debbie xx

I had a great experience in the restaurant again. Amazing food , amazing service. I went for my usual fish and chips and was not disappointed! Matt was and is always excellent host and I look forward to going back once the refurbishment is complete.
