Wonderful service from friendly knowledgeable staff, the menu is 90% gluten free which is great. Highly recommend visiting here for a meal

For a smokehouse, don’t think anything is actually smoked. Ribs are cooked and brought in. Texas sausage was tasty. Brisket is sous vid then smoked. Luke warm brisket cold. Did ask to warm it up still only just warm. Server was great, was offered compensation for the issues. Let’s hope this feed back helping improving it.

Great food, service was ok and if you are going for dinner get in early as the queue when we left was getting long. Got the platter for one and it was delicious but the Garlic sauce was bland, not much garlic.

Went for dinner on the Wednesday night with friend and returned the following night with family !!

Best customer service , only two servers were managing tables and food and they were always happy to help .

First time here with friends, we shared the wings & the Thursday night special of full ribs. Food was really delicious but also the service was excellent. We'll be back for sure!

I'm up from the Wollongong region for work and let me say the southern fried burger is with out a doubt the best burger I've had and the prices were to match. I'll definitely be back . Ps . me and my wife just wanted to acknowledge the outstanding customer service we received tonight. We went to blueys smoke house tonight for dinner and we were greeted by Amanda, she had a big smile and positive attitude that made us feel very welcome. She said everything with a smile, and nothing was too hard for her. It’s not very often these days you get customer service so good it leaves a lasting impression, so we wanted to make sure it gets acknowledged. The food was amazing!

I’ve eaten at Blueys for years. Great to able to have real comfort food for Coeliac diners. But the Southern Wings I had on Sunday night was the best Fried Chicken I’ve ever had, anywhere, ever. Ever. ps service is always amazing

Had dinner there tonight staff we absolutely amazing, Kirsty was such a good vibe and laugh, Food was awesome and service was quick and very attentive. After that had 18 beers and enjoyed my night, Texan sausage is always good if you know what I’m saying

So went here for birthday dinner last night with the fam and it had been on my radar for a while now, being a smoked meats enthusiast that I am, I was very impressed by how good the food was! All 11 of us were very happy with our meals, some got the chicken burgers, steak and wings and my partner & I got the smoked meats platter for 2 and it was bloody unreal! For $78, the serving size was massive, as were the other meals. I’ve had my fair share of brisket & pulled pork and this was honestly some of the best that I’ve had, especially from a restaurant. Brisket was smokey, flavoursome & tender (the thinner end was a little dry (just dip in bbq sauce 👌🏼), but the thicker end was really moist), the pork was packed with flavour and super tender too. The ribs were super tender & flavoursome as well. Highly recommended trying this place out if you’re into smoked meats! Also get the house bbq sauce & chipotle aioli, both go perfect with everything. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Also from my experience, I don’t think most of the older negative reviews on here about the food truly reflect this place & the food for what it is now. But definitely come give it a crack, cause I’ll definitely be back!

First timers. Greeted at door by friendly staff member and offered choice of table or booth. Had night's specials explained to us and how to order. We chose the special hamburger and we were lucky we were sharing! Good serve with the works and chips. Service was prompt and bubbly. The restaurant itself was almost empty on a Friday night, it appears that the regulars take their meal out to the main lounge. Recommend.

One of the best places for gluten free I've been to. Prices are quite reasonable and the food is good. Staff are really nice, just explain any dietary requirements and they'll help. We'll definitely be back

Brisket was dry, tough and flavourless. Crispy chicken wings were greasy and bland. The pulled pork was fine. Service excellent

Was offered 3 chef specials, told at checkout register that none were available. Ordered other food, high price for less than tasty food. Yellow chips were just awful, chicken was dry and tasteless, took 40 minutes to get 'food' served.no communication between servers and cooks, thoroughly disappointed. Party of 5, all agreed we'll never be back.

We celebrated a family birthday at this place, and I'll admit, the initial impression when we walked in was somewhat underwhelming, but then again, it's an RSL, so I wasn't expecting too much. The menu didn't do much to raise our expectations either; it was on the smaller side with rather basic options. Despite my low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. My brother and I decided to share a Meat platter for 2, while my sister-in-law and partner ordered burgers. The meat platter was fantastic, and the burgers looked great. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a solid meal.

Great food and amazing staff! 100% recommend for coeliacs - majority of menu items are gluten free and very conscious of allergies. Tastes amazing.

Food was edible however not worth the wait

We came here for dinner midweek. The service and food were excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The venue was clean and tidy. I highly recommend the onion rings. They were generously sized and perfectly cooked. Much better than your typical soggy bistro rings. I also got the southern chicken burger and chicken parmigiana which were also fantastic. The kids dessert which is included in their meals was a proper bowl of ice cream with choice of toppings which they loved. In summary, great food, quick service and friendly staff. I'll be back for more.

Great Gluten free options. The service however we waited 45mins for food and it wasn't busy. My ASD ADHD son got unsettled as it was so long for the food. I went to check on the food and the lady told me I should have ordered his meal as an entree. How was I to know that? Not to worry the food eventually come and it was great but not worth the wait. Not sure if I will be back. Not sure if it was a one off thing.

My chicken burger was overcooked and tasted really burnt and my sister cheese burger was raw and pink in the middle

I took a client for lunch today and was absolutely disgusted to watch the female chef pick up food that was under the heat light and rearrange it on the plate with no gloves on , then continued to go and prepare other meals after licking her fingers and just wiping them on a tea towel . Then putting her un gloved hand into a box of salad and placing it on the plate. My client was absolutely horrified at what she had witnessed,We I asked for a refund straight away and explained why . The cashier didn’t seem to care . I’m extremely disappointed as my partner and I eat there on a regular basis . But unfortunately won’t be going back. The health inspector would of had a field day .

Meat was bland. Long wait time. Staff were fantastic.

Great service and the best BBQ in Newcastle

Easily one of the best value for money American smokehouse feeds in the newcastle area. My mates and I aren't scared of a big feed and have always hunted out the best in Newcastle and can easily say the quality and menu at Blueys is a cut abive the rest. Can easily customise and add or change your request and I can safely say I've never walked out dissapointed. Can get super busy and at times waits do increase the later and busier it is but well worth it. 10/10

Beautiful meal and gluten free. Owner is very conscious of cross contamination. Tasty and wide variety of meals. Worth a visit.

Kids eat free was false advertisement. Waitress was so rude and the manager wasn’t far behind. Manager looked like he needed a good bath. Didn’t eat meal after seeing how dirty staff looked and the one bite I had tasted like a McDonalds cheese burger. No smokiness in any meal. Save your $$ go to Tex Mex Wests where kids do eat free and their service and venue is so much nicer.

Permaneciendo en el área por una noche, buscamos desesperadamente algún lugar para cenar, donde mi nieto, que no tiene gluten, podría obtener una buena comida. Después de llamar a varios lugares, sin éxito, nos encontramos con Cardiff Bowling Club. Mi hija me envió un correo electrónico y recibió una respuesta casi inmediata, diciendo que tenían una gran opción para él. La persona se ofreció a poner una mesa a un lado para nosotros. El personal de BLUEY era encantador, amable y servicial, especialmente el chef y la chica que nos servía. Nada fue un problema. . . . Como se prometió, hubo MUCHAS opciones y mi nieto estaba muy emocionado de tener más de una o dos opciones para elegir, como es la norma. Tuvimos un plato de pan de ajo con queso, tocino y sudor frío que estaba delicioso y el chef hizo de mi nieto su propio pan de ajo, que le encantó. Comí un bistec de hueso, que estaba cocinado a mi perfección y era tierno y jugoso. Mi hija tenía un schnitzel de pollo y dijo que era encantador. Mi nieto tenía nuggets de pollo, una salchicha y papas fritas, seguidos de helados, aderezos y rociados, TODOS LOS QUE FUERON SIN GLUTEN. El club en sí es un poco viejo y cansado, pero el baño de mujeres estaba limpio y fresco. Los dos empleados del bar con los que entramos en contacto también fueron muy amables. Definitivamente recomendaría una comida en CARDIFF BOWLING CLUB.

Decidí probar Bluey's Smokehouse esta noche, como lo hemos visto anunciado en Facebook. La casa de Cardiff estaba ubicada en Cardiff Bowling Club Cardiff. Al llegar encontramos una mesa en el restaurante, mi compañero y yo pedimos costillas y alitas de pollo. Las alas de pollo de mi compañero eran barbacoa con sabor y la mía eran dulce chili con sabor también vino con patatas fritas y col. Ambos estaban muy ricos. Sin duda volveremos y lo recomendaría a amigos y familiares.

Tuvimos una gran comida. Las costillas eran excelentes, se podía decir que habían sido ahumadas. Cayó del hueso. Las hamburguesas que vimos salir parecían deliciosas. Las comidas de los niños fueron agradables. Volveremos, lo siento, es una unidad de 25 minutos.

Entonces, la comida estaba bien cuando la conseguimos, una larga espera de 40 minutos, nuestros ENTRANTES se servían con nuestras comidas principales. De hecho pensamos que los principiantes eran solo los principiantes. Luego, tu comida principal saldrá después de eso. Nuestra mesa tenía 2 hamburguesas, ambos bollos estaban negros. No malgastes tu dinero.

Lunch and Dinner menu features $10 range, $12.50 range, $15 range and some $20 main meals. While there is a "fast food" and Popular Pub Grub feel to many of the items available, the service was timely during our lunch visit on International Women's Day. My sister had the half-rack of ribs with chips. My wife had the deluxe bacon burger with chips and salad. I chose the 200 gram rump with chips and salad. All meals were fair value at $15 each. Drinks were at licensed club prices ($4 soft drinks to $5.50 beers and $5 single glasses of wine). Lunch for three ... all up $59. The Cardiff Bowling Club is an old style, almost 'olde worlde' place ... a long gun barrel building with old wooden floors and very old decor. Years of trophies and honour boards dating back past the 1970s. The furniture is functional but oh, so old and tired. The carpet, where laid, is in need of an upgrade ... particularly in the dining end of the club. Service 4.5 Food 3.5 Ambience 2
