Very cool place, good service and quality food.

This was a nice surprise so far away from the southern United States. Their meat fell off the bone like it should and was really good. The Mac and Cheese surprisingly was also really good. Definitely could compete with our BBQ joints. Highly recommend eating here if you are in Windsor and missing home.

Told a lie straight away enquired about the daily specials that's on their website told was only for lunch ( states all day on their website) table beside me ordered the daily special also and was accepted after talking to manager. Complained and changed my order. Waited 45 mins still no sign of food and for any other customers. Staff chating joking not really bothered or professional. Ended up leaving as waited too long paid for drinks and charged 10% service charge. Sorry no. Very poor

Avoid!!! We were the only table there and waited 50 minutes for food. Specially when 2 dishes came out and the other 4 came after 20 minutes it’s a shame. Also our burgers were burnt and tasteless. I would never come back here even if it was the only restaurant in town.

Server was amazing. Couldn’t have been better. Coleslaw was from the depths of hell And the chocolate banana sundae was trump juice! Donuts really shouldn’t be crunchy However we had a blast!

Not great. Very slow despite not being busy. Then arrived at different time and cold! And tiny portions. Disappointing but didn’t have time to make a fuss after the huge delay.

Staying in a nearby hotel, I ordered a delivery via Deliveroo. I love smoked meats and Texan style barbecue - and this place looks authentic however I was severely disappointed with my meal and having now read the reviews, it’s clear this restaurant has some significant challenges. The Texas Platter should feature slow smoked brisket square, pulled pork, smoked cheddar and jalapeño hot link sausage, cowboy beans, string onions, pickles, Texas toast, fries and slaw. I also added Mac ‘n’ cheese, a side of wings and dirty mayo. In reality, the platter is very disappointing, the pulled pork was dry, the brisket dry and overcooked, the hot link was missing any resemblance of cheese and was incredible coarse and unlike any other hot link I’ve had. The shoestring onions was a pitiful half teaspoons worth, fries were cold and limp and the slaw was missing entirely, as was the extra dip I ordered and paid for. The best part of the platter was the Texas toast. The Mac ‘n’ cheese was overcooked to the point of being mushy and completely under seasoned. The chicken wings were average. Overall this order was £49 including delivery and service fees and was totally underwhelming and not worth it.

Food was ok, nothing spectacular. First server sat us down then left the restaurant to hang out with friends outside. After taking our order she then finished her shift and left, leaving us with another guy who seemed more interested in hanging around talking to who we believe was the chef, rather than dealing with any customers in the restaurant. Have the cheek to add 10% charge for this "service"

Waited 45 minutes for takeaway food. When it arrived it was greasy and half missing. Went in the bin. Perhaps it was a bad day but I wouldn’t return to find out.

Went there for a late lunch and food was very disappointing. Meat was very dry from the platter. I had been looking forward to this and I would not recommend and definitely would not return, they took a negligible amount, just enough to cover a couple of lemonades, as a gesture and frankly this was not acceptable. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant. Food took a very long time to arrive. The meat was not juicy.

A fun dip into Southern Americana in a truly British town! As a Texan, I approve of the barbeque and beer selections!

Booked a table for my sons 16th birthday, walked in and the waitress behind the bar looked at us like we were a major inconvenience, said we had a booking and she just mumbled she could find it and got on her phone, without doubt the rudest interaction I have ever had in a restaurant. I would have turned around and walked out at this point but my son had chosen it so we waited until another waitress appeared who literally pointed at a table and said to sit there, was next to a couple and the lady was feeding her baby so she felt awkward and covered up, literally almost empty place. We sat down, both staff behind the bar, finally came over to ask for our order, I just thought if this is their attitude in public can you imagine what the kitchen is like with nobody watching. Decided to spend our money elsewhere (Mango Lounge, was v busy but they found us a table and had a great meal). Also these reviews, what an amazing coincidence they have 5 star reviews from Texans and Louisiana families.......pull the other one, its got bells on.

Very few vegetarian options, the expectations for burgers were higher but felt like it was made from processed meat. Very slow service too.

Amazing rack of ribs with DrPepper BBQ sauce. Great service as well as a nice view of Windsor castle from the upstairs window.

Amazing barbecue. We are from Texas and this was top-notch. We loved having a taste of home while looking at Windsor Castle. And the owner was so sweet and accommodating. We are in kind of a hurry and she made sure we got our food ASAP.

Service was fine, if at times I felt like I was intruding which stung owing to the hefty compulsory tip. It is almost unfathomable how they manage to take Southern Comfort food and make it so bland. Literally did not finish our meals as it was tasteless, wasted calories. Save your money and time for elsewhere.

Amazing place. Food was incredible. I recommend the Burnt Ends Poutine! We took our 1 year old who the staff absolutely loved and made us feel very welcome!!

So flavorful and so tender. We are from southeast Louisiana and it was truly delicious. Best bbq we have had. We visited in May 2023 for our 40th anniversary.

2 bad experiences recently, my daughter ordered a macaroni cheese and the portion was vastly smaller than previous orders. Tonight when we ordered , the estimate time for delivery was already very long 60-80 mins, But after we completed the order, it changed it to 80-95 mins, An hour later, we were all starving, hoping for it to arrive soon, when we see that they have randomly cancelled it.

Love everything about this place.

It was an unfortunate decision to dine at this establishment. The staff seemed inexperienced and disorganized, resulting in an hour-long wait for our food. Furthermore, the tables were left uncleared with dirty plates, which was quite disappointing. The overall experience was not worth the £60 spent.

Ordered large ribs and they tasted as if they had been boiled and were a very measly amount for the price paid. They were also very fatty. I also had chips and they were not hot. Very disappointed.

Food took ~40 minutes but the sauces were great. The service was friendly. They can probably do better with more staff. We went there as the ad outside said castle view upstairs but you could only be seated downstairs that time.

Had the best peanut chocolate ice cream dessert everrrr, served by a lovely waitress called Mala, she was very helpful and I will certainly return again, thank you!

Understaffed that day. It seems the management had decided to do a stock take on a Sunday lunch time in the summer holidays in Windsor. The waitress that did work was annoyed that she couldn’t amble around at her normal speed. She turned many customers away because she was unable to cope perhaps not her fault but she wasn’t pleasant about any of this. The food took over an hour to arrive. When it did on of the two meals was cold as if it had been standing and didn’t come with the slaw as advertised. At this point I wasn’t going to bother anyone as they really didn’t care. Definitely avoid this place. It’s really not that good anyway in terms of choice and the food is poor at best. Service non existent.

We had a lovely evening meal here. The atmosphere is nice and laid back with typical smokehouse music playing in the background. The friendly waitress was so helpful in supporting us with what to choose from the large menu and she could speak at length about all the dishes. The food took a while as the England game was on, so they were slightly inundated with delivery orders, however it wasn't long to wait and the food came out nice and hot. The Jacob's laddet was particularly tasty! We'd go again.

I went there for dinner earlier and I had one of the best baby racks I have ever had. Meat so tender it melted right off the bone. Strongly recommend the full baby back ribs with some sweet potato and a noice Bluegrass IPA! My new bbq favourite

Disappointed really, ( having been to a similar style restaurant as in American smokehouse recently which was great!) the place is little more than a cafe in terms of it decor so whole place could do with a refurbishment. Food service was very slow, I had brisket which was as tough as old boots! ‘Slaw’ was served on the side but was a heaped teaspoon portion. Wouldn’t recommend.

Fantastic dining experience from start to end. The staff genuinely cared that we had a good time and went out of their way to ensure we did. The food and service was exceptional and is highly recommended Bluegrass BBQ Windsor to all.

Our first time to the bluegrass restaurant, we went on a recommendation. We were very welcomed by the staff. The menu looked good, our food arrived and hot, it tasted great the portions were large. I would definitely recommend this place. We'll worth the visit

We fancied a burger while in Windsor. We stopped at Bluegrass and I’m glad we did. We had a burger and brisket burned ends, bluegrass fries and Mac and cheese as sides. Food was very good, along with service and atmosphere.

Best food you'll have, as Americans from Kentucky- we could never. Everything cooked fresh. We got the Tennessee fried chicken wrap and the Louisiana bonfire and it was fire. It was amazing!!

The food was raw and the service was horrible. The atmosphere was quiet and it wasn't anything like a restaurant.

Food was amazing! We were a party of 10 and we had a great time at Bluegrass. Hamburgers, ribs, onion rings, burnt ends were delicious. Staff was attentive and very pleasant. We had a wonderful experience.

Very good bbq chicken. The sauce was nice, juicy and tasty. Mala was very kind and professional. She gave us French fries while we were waiting for the food. The portion was big. The sweet potatofries were delicious.

I've stumbled upon this place while checking for texan smokehouses over google maps. to be honest this place is not worth it. As i am a big fan of smokehouses I've been everywhere to try different smokehouses all over the world, and this is most probably one of the worst I've had so far. Let's first talk about the delivery which took way above an hour to come, and I wasn't that far. the burnt ends were not that great and they came cold, the ribs came super dry, i've never had dryer ribs in my life. the salad was okay, the chicken was dry and small, to be fair the only thing i liked was the sausage, thhe sausage was actually really good. let's not talk about the fries that came cold and soggy. the salted caramel and oreo cheesecake was okay. in brief i wouldn't recommend you o order delivery from this place as its way overpriced and not worth it. I don't know if the experience dine in is better.

Absolutely terrible, clearly the chef doesn’t read English as I ordered two burgers and got served a plate of dried pulled pork with rubbery sausage after half an hour wait. When we eventually got our burgers we didn’t eat them as they were as dry as as stick and tasteless. Over an hour wasted only to leave and get something from McDonalds, only positive was the friendly waiter

Best meal I’ve had during my stay fresh food looked beautifully each mouthful was a pleasure generous portions would recommend the chicken strips with fries absolutely to die for. Staff are also great explaining what’s included with everything would highly recommend

Really nice time had here , waitress was very friendly and explained the menu, also explained that everything is made fresh so don’t expect a 10 minute turn round on meal. Food was really tasty, and good quality Really enjoyed our meal

First visit for lunch today very casual place, the staff were all extremely pleasant, good selection of food on menu, l ordered BBQ smoked chicken and classic chips very tasty, can work out quite expensive with all extra bits wine over priced. Recommend food.

Looked like a great place based on the reviews! however, upon arriving we were informed by the staff that the waiting time would be around 45 min. Even though the place was empty. We didn’t mind the waiting time, once the food arrived we instantly regretted waiting that long. The Brisket came was cold and extremely chewy, the BBQ chicken was super dry, and the onion rings and Pickles were too oily to consume. The only thing that redeemed the restaurant were their burgers, they were decent for the price. Thankfully we were served by a great staff who were extremely polite, and offered us a refund after describing our poor experience.

The food was excellent but not cheap. That the waitress put the optional tip wihout asking on the bill is for us a reason to never come back. In y opion that is theft.

Awful experience this evening, wrong meals delivered, spoke with the manager and promised new meals would be brought out...never turned up...went to shop and no idea where the food is...4 hours waiting around

The staff seemed very uninterested and the drinks took far too long for what was an empty restaurant at the time. The food was also very dry and came pit cold. The fries were also very soggy and cold. For the high price they charge here, definitely not worth it

Waited over an hour for my food. When it did arrive, my burger was overcooked, and the chips were soggy. Slow service to get a drink even though there were less than 5 other people in the restaurant. Definitely not worth the money..

Staff were lovely and helpful going through the menu with us, only disappointment was that the food took over an hour and a bit to come and was slightly cold when it came - still very tasty though but we were too British to make an issue about complaining!

Went in to get a meal around 3:00, not busy. Asked for a table and was told 20 minutes unless I wanted to sit outside. Opted for the outdoor table, waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to attend to us, no one came out. Got up and left, went across the street to a different restaurant and was seated immediately with much better service.

Don't fall for the prime location and great window seat views, they are great but The food is really the worst I had for quite some time. Even the table next to us had to send their dishes back for different reasons just like we did.

Pretty decent food and drink. Nixe atmosphere. Service good, and very friendly. Only let down was the IPA, at £8 a pint!!! I suppose you would expect that in a prime spot next to Windsor castle..

We came for breakfast, and had the home made sausages in brioche bun…. So disappointing. They were chipolatas at best, tortured by the grill. Change the discretion to say “tiny burnt twigs in bun” . Service was polite.

I was so excited to eat here (Windsor) and left really disappointed. All the fried food (entire menu) was drenched in deep fat oil and disgusting. Frickles were non edible as were just dripping with oil. chicken wings were small half wings with no meat on the bone. all grizzly chewy. FOH staff were okay, that's the only thing that was okay. I didn't bother complaining at the time as I wouldn't have known where to start. The chef was a mess of a man who strolled through the restaurant from the front entrance, I knew from that moment there was no care at this restaurant at all. I'll stick to Smith and Western for American style food I think. Not Good.

Awful food looked great but stone cold, avoid another customer advised us to leave before we had ordered but decided to give it a go but we should have taken his advice.

Great random Lunch stop on visit to Windsor Castle! we were served by Lewis (sorry if name spelt wrong!) who made us feel welcome and explained the menu. Recommended the Scotch fries which were HOT! fantastic! Beers were super cold and price was good, value for money, we sat on the second floor with great views! we will be back and hopefully served by Louis again!

Not a great experience. We visited on a Monday when it was empty and as it's a small place, it felt like the 2 waiters were just listening to our conversation. We were also sat by the window which felt very draughty and cold (we ate in our jackets) We weren't told about any special deals, it was only while eating our food that we noticed a sign on a wall, but this was out of our eye level. Service was slow and nothing to make our meal any more enjoyable - think fast food service. Minimum conversation except when given the bill (assume for the tip). Food was average... Nothing amazing. I hoped for more.

The staff do not know the menu. It took 35 minutes to get our food. The chicken was good but the mac and cheese on top was cold. No one comes to check if everything is okay or whether we wanted another drink. Such a shame this could be a really good restaurant but the staff seem to be dis interested.

Portion sizes are a joke. Chips tasted like recooked chips. Wings were tiny with not much flavour. Onion rings were really good

If you're looking for a fast food place, this is great. Don't expect anything fancy cause its definitely not. We were a large group and they hadn't even sorted out a table for us. The decor seems a bit worse for wear (I get that it's meant to be rustic). We weren't told about the very narrow spiral staircase to access the top floor. The burgers were amazing! Highly recommended. The rest was just okay. Service was good considering they had to climb two floors of awful staircase to deliver drinks and food. A bit of a shame as had higher expectations and the place itself just didn't deliver.

Good food, good service and good value for money. If you're visiting Windsor for the weekend it will tie you over for a quick dinner but it isn't going to be your main going out meal.

Food was great! It was a very calm and friendly atmosphere upstairs and still with attentive service. My young daughter, my husband and I had a lovely supper. Javi and Val looked after us very well!

amazing service from mala, absolute gem helped me with all my needs and was so kind! Luis was very helpful too and was wonderful. The food was very nice in terms of flavour it did live up to the American name.

Just not to the standard you’d expect, Food was fab! Just the rest was rubbish, only one person working which is sad to see that things here are that quiet only one person needed, But what’s sadder is the level of service shown by I presume a manager, Huge wait to be seated no one around, then manager appears, no apology for wait, only our table and one other, food and drinks orders taken but no hospitality! Just zero! Just bare minimum, no chat, no banter, just no personality! No upsells, Food took a while to come, and their was an issue with the mac and cheese we ordered, 20mins after order placed we were told it was out of stock, Anyway food took what felt like a long time, two dishes, then 5 mins then two dishes then another 5mins then last dish, no apology for delays, Food was good, but still no check backs, no offers for more drinks nothing! It’s like the manager was doing bare minimum. Just zero hospitality from start to finish

I enjoyed a lunchtime visit here with a friend...food was pretty good - appeared to be freshly cooked and was tasty. We were warned before ordering that it may take a little time as the kitchen was busy. The soft drink (cream soda) gave me heart palpitations (which is usual but more with caffeine or energy drinks): probably had a lot of sugar/sweeteners in it 😅😂. I like the vibe of the place. I'd go again but probably choose a milkshake next time 😂.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and the food was authentic Americana, I recommend the Lone Star burger. The best part of the experience was the wonderful service received from Valentina and Javier who were so friendly, helpful and professional. I will definitely be returning because of them. A++

Stopped by with my boyfriend after our trip around Windsor and all I can say is I will definitely be coming back! The food and the atmosphere were great and Jamie was so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. She was very attentive and ensured that we had the most wonderful end to our visit. 10/10 service. 10/10 restaurant.

One of the best restaurants in Windsor, the portion sizes are huge and the food is delicious. The staff are what make the experience, so lovely and welcoming even when very busy on a Saturday lunchtime. There is an amazing range of options on the menu also.

Really cool restaurant with a great atmosphere, we were served by Jamie who was great and always had a smile of her face. A real credit to the company. Without a doubt I’ll be coming back to Bluegrass BBQ and I’d recommend anyone who’s not tried it to get down there next time you’re out for food! 😃

I came here with my family the other day and we had an absolutely amazing time. the food was great and the overall atmosphere was lovely as well, however i would have to say the service made the experience the most enjoyable. We were served by Luis and he was kind, attentive and very helpful.

Nice place for great american food! Our waiter Louiee was funny and helped us with the menu, recommend the scotch fries if you can handle the heat! Going back again to try the ribs as portions big and we had no room! Great Service!

Stopped in for some lunch after looking around Windsor for the afternoon and had a wonderful meal! Hats off to the staff as the service was incredible. Jamie was attentive and so incredibly welcoming. She was always open to answer any questions we had and always had a smile on her face. We will for sure be coming back!

Apart from the stairs everything was perfect Staff were so helpful and nothing was an issue with our dietary needs
