Bluebells Cakerie in Calderdale

Without question the food here is good. The tastiest sandwiches and cakes. However, the reception can vary depending on who is working. On our last visit the dark haired lady serving couldn’t even be bothered to say Hello and was actually a little rude. Felt rather unwelcome and uncomfortable whilst spending £20 on 3 sandwiches. We think we’ll spend our money elsewhere going forwards.

Fantastic small place for wonderful sandwiches with a special twist. The chicken gyros takes me straight back to a favourite Greek island! All cakes are superb,baked within the business to a really high ,home made ,professional standard. I have used their outside catering service too which was excellent! Lovely friendly service from the hard working staff.

Just finished my delicious amazing Chicken Gyros Wrap. Very tasty, packed with chicken. Was recommended by a client I was visiting up the road from them.

This is a gem of a place. Not your traditional cafe who do an amazing choice of Naan wraps - the bacon one is amazing but this time I had the gyros. Fresh chicken with a great tzatziki sauce and fresh salad. Beautifully put together. My wife had the weetabix toast with bacon - this can come with just butter or yoghurt and fruit as well. The bread is amazing, the best fruit bread you will have. They have an amazing choice of cakes, all home made. The lemon drizzle cheesecake is just heaven. The ideas for Halloween and bonfire night are amazing and I can’t wait A must place to visit in Brighouse as this comes with this friendliest owners who makes you feel like old friends every time you visit

Fantastic choice of food and cakes are delicious.Only problem is I have to walk more miles after visiting Bluebells.Both sisters who work in the shop are friendly ,polite and can't do enough for you.Their mum makes all the cakes.Well done.

I didn’t want to leave a review because I don’t want everyone going making it to busy for me!!!But the food, place and staff were so good it would be rude not to say so. The food was absolutely amazing. One of the nicest lunches I have ever had. Everything was so tasty and fresh, plus beautifully presented. Also my coffee was delicious. Only two tables and a window bar so small but the atmosphere is nice and the staff very friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable and I don’t even know where to start with the dessert options. Amazing. Thank you.

We have been past bluebells many times but was always busy which meant that we really want to see what it was likeI had a bacon nanwich - herby naan bread, full of bacon with rocket salad and a smoky sauce. Fabulous, freshly made so a little wait but you know it’s made to order and fresh. Wife had a tuna toastie - proper thick bread, full of tuna, red onion and cheese.Look like they had cakes to die for but portions huge and filling. All washed down with great coffee.Love this place, friendly welcoming service with outstanding food
