Blue Tiffin in St. Helens

My first time ordering from here, I have to say it was fantastic really tasty freshly cooked. Restaurant quality will definitely be my new go to place. Thanks guys

Usually get take away, food is always delicious. Lovely staff here as well which always makes for a pleasant visit.

I tend to get a takeaway but have dined in here before, very nice & friendly staff. The food itself is the best I’ve had within the area. The onion Bhajis can be hit & miss. Chicken pakoras are nice, I always get chicken tikka masala and it’s always very flavourful. This is our go to when getting an Indian

-curry wasn't spicy, tasted sweet and unseasoned -chips were bland with no salt or other seasonings -it says the food was ready for us, and when we got there they took 15+ more minutes to prepare it -poppadoms weren't crispy, almost as if they were stale

We arranged a big birthday bash here last night and have never left a restaurant so upset and disappointed. The staff were the most unorganised and rude people we have come across, every request was treated as though you were asking for something you shouldn't be, then made to go and get our own drinks from the bar was ridiculous, the orders from start to finish were taken in a way that meant none of us were eating at the same time, then to almost have a full on argument at the end over a perfectly valid blue light discount left a very sour taste, for most of the night there was only us in so God only knows how much worse it would have been if it was busy, such a shame for such lovely food. Back to panchi next time for us

I orders take away service, had the special madras. It was awful. The chicken was dry and clear not cooked fresh. Left a horrible stale taste in my mouth, along with other items I ordered this cost around 40 pounds. Safe to say o will never be ordering from here again. Worst idian I gave ever had

Decided to have a quick spur of the moment visit after reading reviews on TA. Met on arrival by a really friendly guy who introduced himself was very good explaining the menu also saying happy to adjust spices if required after explaining some items I opted to try a new mild curry it was delicious all in all an excellent visit & well recommended.

Excellent service by all staff who treated us so well it made the evening feel like a special occasion. Huge choice on the menu and questions regarding our choices were answered confidently. Food served promptly and was delicious. Decor contemporary and attractive. Can’t wait to go back. This restaurant deserves to be hugely successful

Ordered our new year's eve takeaway from here using the online ordering system on there website. No update for when food was ready no phone call to say food was ready website kept saying preparing your food tried ringing no answer husband when upto collect and food and been ready for.over hour terrible service won't be using again

Honesly been here a couple of times in the past few weeks for a takeaway . the portions, price and flavours are amazing..we like it hot so we had the chicken naga , chicken biriyani with madras sauce, they was all reaĺly amazing . We are hooked..i like to make my own curries from kits however i cant beat their flavours.. They also have a dine in deal Wednesday amd Sundays for £ 13.50. Will most definitely be trying this out...love love love ,

Ordered a takeaway went to collect staff very friendly and welcoming couldn't fault the service

Lots of room in between tables so you do not feel squashed. We had starters and main meals. I found my “new favourite meal” tonight BALTI EXOTICA WOW!! Great staff

I had takeaway… not for the first time … absolutely lovely food would recommend to everyone … not expensive and piping hot on delivery with lovely delivery driver …. 😊

Food was bland and tasteless. Very, very small portions. Main meal was considerably smaller than something i would provise as a childs meal. We ordered a takeaway so no point in complaining when they already have your money. Felt considerably taken advantage of. Wont be using this establishment again

I've had takeaway from here a few times but never eaten in. I don't know why, just hadn't. The wife and I went there on Friday night for a meal and it was gorgeous. Whilst the takeaway is very nice, the food was even more delicious eating in and you could tell it was made fresh. They asked us if we were ready for our meals and fired them straight away so it was timely and as fresh as possible. Prices are very reasonable. We paid just under £20 a head (including drinks) for poppadoms, chutney tray, 2 curries, rice, naan and drinks. Very well priced, no complaints. The staff were super friendly and took the time to explain dishes to us, chat about the restaurant and talked to us about the food and the cooking. They were lovely. Will definitely go again and recommend it

over priced the portions are discrasfull disgraceful and forgot some stuff stay away

Having just returned from a cheeky week away in the sun with our very close friend's they suggested we finish our week together on a meal out at the Blue Tiffin ! What a cracking end to our holiday, excellent service and top class food at a very reasonable price. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a good time. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. Will be back myself very soon.

Excellent menu, lovely ambience, beautiful food. 1st visit I'd made since moving to the area, the friendly welcome and excellent food it certainly won't be my last I Loved It.

Having been charged twice for one order due to a snag in their ordering protocol I remain reluctant to fall twice. Just made an order and was diverted to my online banking to confirm payment which I completed swiftly, however an hour later and it has still not been confirmed. I will not attempt to address this issue as I have done before in fear of being charged twice. Time to find a more reliable service from a different business

Not good, on the app / just eat - I specifically requested NO peas the curry arrived was full of them, if your allergic to certain food do not eat here it could cost your life However, the 2nd curry the prawns were full off shell eeeerrrrk and the 3rd curry was cold - all 3 meals went in the bin I would not recommend here, please bring back the taste of India

Twice we've had delivery from here, both times arrived early, and my god the food. 🤩 absolute gem of a place, and such a variety of dishes, definitely my number one Indian restaurant. 💯

Just tried to phone an order for takeaway and asked about a dish as our daughter has a peanut allergy and was told they couldn't take the order and to ring back later as they were very busy. You can't do this as a food business, it's discrimination. Very upset as was looking forward to your food but won't use again now. Very disappointed.

Couldn't recommend and certainly one off the list. Very bland dishes - also received an incorrect order - as well as minus a naan bread. Ordered a paneer dish - 6 cubes of small paneer, curry sauces so tasteless they went into the food recycling caddy! Vegetable curry dishes consisted of simply big cauliflower florets with watery bland sauce. Ordered for a family meal everyone disappointed.

We visited the blue Tiffin on one of their special offers .And I must say we were not disappointed ,all the dishes were of the highest standard especially the speciality dishes, the service was at the very high standard and it was lovely to be greeted by such a warm friendly staff Especially when we had made a complete mess of the booking how pleased we were that they went out of there way To accommodate us.

We use the Blue Tiffin as our regular place to go during the lockdown for a takeaway. The food is amazing, the staff are very polite and friendly. Me and Mike are looking forward to visisting and eating in the restaurant again as soon as we get a chance. Highly reccomend.

Ordered here through uber eats for our wedding anniversary... The food was absolutely beautiful, the food took about 40 mins to be made and delivered. We absolutely loved it and as a bonus we got 15 pound off... Highly recommend and will be ordering again..

Best Indian restaurant around, I have been to most in Newton and Blue Tiffin is by far the best. Food is always hot, fresh and we don’t get an ‘icky tummy’ the next day. The staff are really friendly and helpful too! 100% recommend.

Tandoori king prawns came with no veg and a very watery sauce - the Handi was also bland - rice was cold - average staple takeaway curry food sadly nothing to highly recommend.

Delicious food, great service make this an excellent place to eat in. All the tables are reasonably distanced and the waiters all wear face masks. Take away is also available and is just as delicious.

New to the area and tried a few Indian restaurants, most in the area are the usual food colouring loaded rubbish. Had a Rogan Josh last night and it was fantastic. Properly made, not just the same old sauce with some lamb chucked in it. It was thick, loads of peppers and tomatoes and the lamb was devine, every piece was tender. Will definitely be back, will book for Christmas day. Best in the area.

Ordered delivery from here for the first time as the menu seemed to offer a different selection from the ordinary. The delivery came in very good time and the food was probably the best I've had in years. In an area starved of interesting food, this business shines like a beacon. Will definitely be exploring more of the menu in the future.

My wife and I have been here several times now since it was taken over. The staff are excellent and treat you as if you are eating in their own home. Food is gorgeous. The Chicken Vindaloo is to die for and the naaan bread...

Telephone order on number used by previous restaurant Taste of India. Took order, didn't say it had changed hands nor that what I ordered wasn't on their menu. Got home to find food not as ordered, no rice and bland as you like. Have took the number out of my phone after 28 years. when I got home
