I rate this takeaway as 1 of the best in a 10 mile radius . Growing up and going to school in Rusholme Manchester around around the curry mile and spending a lot of time both working and holidaying in INDIA,i feel i can class myself as a connoisseur when it comes to knowing the diffrence between an excellent curry and a poor run of the mill one.

This has got to be the finest takeaway. Never had a bad meal from here. The staff are always friendly. Can't fault a thing

Ordered a meal at 17.30 this evening rang 4 rimes still bever came at 19.30 absolute joke I'm never ordering from this place again fella on the phone never apologised just kept lying on the phone

Date of visit 28/12/23. Disappointed, poppadoms were stale, chutneys didn't taste fresh and the mint yoghurt had started to congele. Saag Paneer was tasteless and rubbery. Samosas were spot on lovely and crunchy etc. Curry was ok, rice a bit hard. Biryani was awful with old meat. Disgusting really. Gutted, was really looking forward to it too.

This is better than all the takeaways I've been to in Coventry.. by miles. Always extremely delicious, wish I could order delivery back home.

Ordered for delivery, came later than the estimate which doesn’t really bother me but our curry sauce which accompanies our main meal was missing so had to ring to get it delivered. Later we noticed our naan bread was missing but was told to mention it next time as they’d already been out with our sauce. Food is spot on to be fair but just wish they’d pay more attention to the accuracy of the order before sending it out.

The food is absolutely amazing, cook to your perfection and in decent time too. The food as well is cooked to how you want it if asked from gluten free, vegetarian to normal meals.

Onion bhajis were soft and greasy, chips were only just cooked and soggy, biryanis bland, not been here for the past two years won’t be going back.

Been visiting ajmeer these last couple of months, the food to me all tastes the same, bhuna, balti etc. I've gave 2 stars as I'm also sick of finding hairs in the food, tonight has finished it for me

It's a while since we've been and we were not disappointed, our meals were freshly cooked and tasted great, they were very busy it's good to see them doing well.

Food quality and price are very good, but totally disorganised. Having to wait an hour and 40 mins when ordering at 5pm when they open is ridiculous. Said it would be 45 mins, had to chase at 1.5 hrs, it then arrives and everything barely warm never mind hot. Haven't been for a long time and remembered why 😕.

Lovely fresh food, plenty to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful . Super fast food prep ! Our order was ready in 20mins.

Ive been to this take out for years i stopes 2 years ago but went back today it was souce from a jar bitter but wit all the bits the is no gravy wast ov money no meal should b bitter

Excellent quaility idian takeaway. I have visited this place many times and the food/service and friendly staff are always excellent. If you love a tasty hot curry then ask for one called a "chicken tika balti jalfezi" and you certainly wont be disapointed !!!

Decided to try here for a change worst thing we could have done they missed stuff off the order and when we rang up they said can we come and get it we live 8 mile round trip,no offer to bring it to us just a very distant apology.Food very very average very poor will never return staff very unfriendly.

Delisious take away - been back many many times and they never disappoint. I'm vegan and they have always been great with their knowledge of the menu and dietary restrictions (on arrival to pick up the takeaway, let us know what parts of the shared courses were vegan friendly). Wouldnt go anywhere else.

The food is great, when it all turns up. 3 times out of the last 6 or 7 deliveries have had an item missing. Tonight I checked the order and it was missing a curry sauce. The deliverer told me she'd check it out and went back to the car, never to return. The food quality is very good but it's not cheap so you feel aggrieved when it's not correct or incomplete. Time Tory somewhere else, I think

Ordered from the Trimdian menu last night. Seek kebab, boiled rice, chicken madras and a keema naan. Really really enjoyed my meal. Would not even know that this was low calorie. Full of flavour and heat. Definitely recommend it for WW and SW members. My son ordered from the regular menu and commented that this meal was the best Indian he has eaten in a long time. Order fee £1 which was well worth it!! Will be definitely be using this as our Indian takeaway of choice.

One of the best indian food I ever had. The nice gentleman who took our order had outstanding customer skills and kindly gave us an extra portion of rice as he knew we have been traveling all day. Would highly recommend this place and come back again.

A dream come true for gym go-ers/slimming world members. I love the KARAHI its delicious. The best bit is you don't get the bloated feeling you get after a normal takeaway and under 500 calories is a bonus!! Would highly recommend to anyone as it tastes amazing. Placed an order for delivery through their website last month and was quoted approx an hour for delivery which I was fine with as this restaurant was highly recommended by a friend of mine. As far as I can remember I ordered at approx 8pm on a Saturday night so I thought a slight a delay may be possible as they may be busy. At approx 11pm I had to settle for some egg on toast for my tea before bed as my order still hadn’t arrived. Over 4 weeks later and I still have no Chicken Madras and haven’t received any communication from the restaurant either

Ordered butter chicken 1st march 19 which ive had from various places, asked for medium hot, what i got was quite amazingly bad. Looked like a tub of cream poured over a tikka masala couldnt be bothered going back out so it went in the bin, if i had a dog it wouldnt have ate it. Dont waste your money.

Highly recommend Ajmeer Tandoori! The food is amazing and always accurate! Mujj, an employee, is always welcoming, friendly and accommodating if we want to change parts of our meals. Would not go to any another Indian, it is by far the best I’ve been to! Customer service is fab!

Ordered the mega mix kebab for 3 people as recommended on the menu. The nan was inedible, the grease was soaking through the layers of tin foil and the whole bread was soggy, yellow and wet. I called them and politely asked if they could send a naan so we could just transfer the meat. 45 minutes later, still no naan. A few of us had been picking at the meat whilst waiting and the rest of the family were eating their curry (popadoms missing). When I called again to ask where the delivery was, I was told that they had other deliveries to send first so they didn't know how long it would be. I explained that the kebab was going cold, the family had been picking at the meat but I would no longer need a nan bread. I was offered a part refund because some of the meat had been eaten. In summary, you do not get to eat as a family, you do not get to eat a full meal as ordered and the customer service is shocking. First time we have eaten here and certainly the last! Will post photos if I can.

We have used this takeaway on many occasions in the past but more recently I have got into cooking my own Indian recipes. Due to a busy weekend, we decided to order a takeaway instead of home cooked. We ordered three meals and a few extras the total costs £30.00. I was looking forward to comparing the takeaway with my own recipes. Overall it was very disappointing, the chicken was very dry and the meal was very salty and they all tasted the same. Since I have been researching British Indian food I have discovered that most curry houses use a pre-made curry gravy and use precooked meats and you can tell when compared to homecooked. With a bit of forwarding planning, you can make a top class curry for three people for about £7.00 and it will taste 10 times better. I am not knocking the Ajmeer, most takeaways are the same. Give it a try.

We have been struggling with inconsistent Indian take aways in Widnes for the last few years and we accidentally came across this during a trip to Whiston and what a find! The food is really tasty, well cooked and service is simply excellent. Value for money as well with generous portions. Chicken saag is brilliant. Hopefully it stays at this standard and thank you for delivering it for us as well.

Thought we would try here for a change, made order at 18.20, was told delivery was 65 minutes, that's fine for midweek, at 1945 I called to see where the food was, advised that driver would be here within 10 minutes. At 2010 called again to see where our food was, thought maybe they had gone to India for that proper authentic taste...told he would be here within 5 minutes. In fairness the doorbell rang about 2 minutes later, the guy in the shop knocked £6 off the order and the food was piping hot, which suggests they had forgotten about our order. But the food was extremely tasty. Unfortunately I wont use again due to the issues above.

Ordered meal and after a 45 min wait arrived to be over charged by £11.00 as I paid for another customers meal. On questioning price I was refunded but no apology was given to me, just handed the difference back. I took meal home to find I had 2 lamb meals instead of chicken that we ordered. I didn’t return as it is a 10 mile round trip and could not be bothered. It will be a while if at all I would go back. Frustrated as good is good most times, they need to sort out service and better order management.

Been coming here for a while now and think the food is a good standard and service is good. Will be back soon.

Been to this place quite a few times. Absolutely brilliant. The food is consistently good and authentic!!!! The staff are really friendly and always make an effort to have a chat even when they are really busy!! And they are always willing to tweak the dish a little to match your taste.

Ordered £85 worth of food last night for delivery. Went through order TWICE on the phone. When it arrived, was missing 4 x peshwari naan, so rang up to query. They weren't interested, claiming is never ordered them. Will NEVER order from them again.

Have been coming here for years, on the whole has always been good but tonight was the best we have ever had. We had plain and spiced popadams for starters, for main we had chicken tikka shashlik and chicken tikka masala. Absolutely gorgeous, would definitely recommend.

The sauce for the Korma and masala were lumpy such a shame used to like it here but will not go again after our latest meal here

Tried here before and it was the old same sauce syndrome.....tonight I thought I’d give it a second go......what a complete waist of time and money. No rice with our meals....what we paid for.....phoned up and the attitude stunk.....yeh we’ll send it he said..........never arrived. I’ve been on tripadvisor for a couple of years now and never gave a bad review.....but this place thourghly deserves a poor score on customer service alone.

We've had several takeaways from here now. I've left a previous review singing the praises of the food presented. All too often the quality seems to slide, but not here. They cooked a Paneer Tikka for me which isn't on their menu, followed by Tandoori King Prawn Vindaloo which I'd never tried before. The only drawback is the curry was so good I ate it all then felt stuffed for the rest of the evening. A nice fault to have.

2 hours 15 minutes waiting for delivery food was freezing cold full of apologies and discounted a fiver off the bill needles to say won't be using again absolute rubbish and the chicken was undercooked Not a patch on the spice in round the corner . Only used due to the good reviews but believe me don't believe everything you read.

Had heard that the Ajmeer was doing a healthy option menu and those doing slimming world rated it. Had baked popadoms and pickles with Garlic chicken and Tandori Roti (low calorie nan), plus Bombay Aloo, it was all so tasty and you wouldn't have known it was so low in fat! Others who were ordering had a selection of dishes from the main menu and were all equally pleased, will definitely order an Indian meal from here again - well done Ajmeer for being creative and moving away from Indian food being forbidden when dieting!

Another gorgeous curry. I usually have the pathia as it's my favourite, but I've had many a different curry and they've all been spot on. I would also highly recommend the selection of dips with popudums as a curry is never complete without them.

My Partner and I live local to Ajmeer and we religiously buy a takeaway from here. The Spicy Green Massala is a relatively new dish and is our favourite. It's unique and tastes amazing... the lads in behind the counter and in the back are all welcoming, friendly and polite. And the prices are really competitive. 6 stars out of 5.

I used to love this place but the waiting times lately are ridiculous. Over an hour on the last 2 occasions. The young lad who used to run the front was a lot more organised. On the flip side I have never had any complaints about the food. Hence the 3 stars. I would have give 5 a year ago

Only been using the Ajmeer for about 12 months having had one or two disappointing meals from other places - not had a bad one yet and same goes for the rest of the family too - extremely popular especially at weekends but never seem to have a long wait

¿Qué más puedo decir sobre este para llevar! Esta es la mejor comida India puedes conseguir y a precios fantásticos. Anteriormente vivía a una milla de este lugar, pero ahora estoy a 25 minutos en coche. Después de haber probado otros restaurantes indios de la zona no podemos encontrar nada que llegue a este lugar y ahora regularmente hacen el 50 minutos de ida y vuelta.
