Wanted to support local business so popped in to grab two cheese baguettes to take away on our walk. Cost was £14 Would have just about been ok if there had actually been cheese in the baguettes. Unfortunately we were on our walk so could not take them back. So spent a huge amount for some lettuce tomato baguette. Smaller issue but still added to the annoyance… we asked for mayo and they had used salad cream or the like. Sorry to post this but it really was a rip off

Lovely little café with a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the selection of food and drinks were great! Myself and my partner had a Nutella and Rocky Road crepe which were delicious! This is a really lovely little cafe run by an extremely friendly and welcoming young couple. The homemade quiches and lasagnes are really delicious, and I particularly enjoy the savoury pancakes, especially as these make a nice change and set it apart from other cafes. Waited 15 minutes for our takeaway drinks to be made. Coffee shop under half full and I realise that there are other clients eating in ahead of us but the whole point of takeaway is that you haven’t got the time to eat in and thus being served should take president. (Eating in means you have time to spare surely). Dedicate a member of staff (there were two) to deal with take aways when they come in, then move back to eat-in guests when served. Milk far too hot in Coffee, but coffee OK. Hot chocolate average, milk far too hot again

Visited this place with friends for elevenses. Nothing wrong with food or drink at all but whilst they have a one way system in an attempt to be COVID aware in reality it is a nonsense as several people walked straight from the car park through the EXIT into the restaurant. This together with the absence or track and trace mean that I would not visit again.

We had their signature iced coffee which was really tasty and then a cappuccino which again, tasted awesome. The layout was so nice and calming. The use of light wood was a really lovely feature. A Fine Place to Drop inRobin EdmondsIt’s always nice to escape the frequently inclement English weather. And you certainly can do just that if you happen to be in the Dorset village of Highcliffe-on-Sea. There is now a great café called The Coffee Garden, owned by a very friendly and amenable chap originally from Ecuador, called Alex. He runs it with the equally approachable Zdena.Having moved to East Dorset many years ago with my family, I now pass by this café on a very regular basis and find it very difficult not to pop in and say a cheerful hello. The café is situated very close to the centre of the village (immediately adjacent to the Cooperative supermarket and Wortley Road car park). It is the ideal place for a relaxing sit-down where you can place an order for a good variety of hot or cold food (locally and ethically-sourced) along with non-alcoholic hot or cold drinks. The prices are reasonable as well. There is a really good community atmosphere to the place which makes it that much more appealing, whether you are a local resident or just visiting the area. Alex and Zdena always seem to do their best to welcome customers and ensure their needs and requests are well catered for.The café is on the same site as the café formerly known as the Blue Sky Deli (previously owned and run by a couple from Belfast called Tom and Sharon). So if you fancy dropping in for a bite to eat or even just a refreshing drink or two, this is the perfect café for you. The Coffee Garden is open Monday to Saturday 9am until 4pm. For further information see the café’s Facebook page.

I visited here just for a coffee one wet and windy day last month and vowed to return again to eat. It is tucked away down a side road which provides access to the car park. There is also an outside garden area where you can dine in better weather. I went on a Wednesday lunchtime and it was very busy with couples and singles eating lunch or having coffee and cake . Some large tables and some for just two. There is a special rate for a coffee and piece of home made cake including gluten free. I decided to have a savoury crepe and salad all made in the premises as you wait. Good choice of filled savoury crepes to suit all tastes and a change from the usual panini and toastie offerings at some cafes. Other choices such as flans and home made soups as well. My crepe filled with mushrooms garlic and parsley was very tasty and filling with a nice fresh side salad. I had a slight problem with the dressing bottle which meant I had more Balsamic vinegar than I intended so just asked for another plate to transfer it but the nice young lady offered to make me another crepe. Said it was fine as I like Balsamic but kind to ask. I had a small black Americano to drink and would recommend the coffee as not bitter or too strong as some. They sell Isle of Wight Tomatoes and free range eggs as well. Lovely friendly efficient staff. Will return soon as only a short drive from home with parking just behind. Parking 70p for two hours.

This used to be a nice place for a drink and snack but has gone completely downhill. I ordered a bacon sandwich. The bacon had obviously been previously cooked and reheated. it was dry - in fact like leather. It was also very fatty bacon and hardly any of it. What there was was sandwiched between 2 pieces of processed ready sliced bread that were literally like blotting paper. The bread had compressed to almost nothing. I left most of it. My Americano was so weak you could see thorugh it. And for that abomination I was charged a staggering £8.50. Last visit was also poor (although not this dreadful) . I used to go here now and then but it is now so awful I shall never do so again.

The mozzarella that I ate here was the best I have ever sampled in my life, and I used to live in Italy! Sharon and Tom are the best hosts, friendly attentive and genuine. They put on special evenings now and again, like Italian, or Greece nights, and they go all out with numerous courses. I've reviewed this cafe/deli before for good food and a warm welcome. The high standards continue. Because of building work at home we have no kitchen. I've been taking advantage of their frozen and chilled take away food. I had the pleasure of trying their butter chicken curry (cooked by co-owner, Tom) and it was superb. Last night we had takeaway chilli and a different curry - again excellent. Perhaps I won't chase the builder to finish my kitchen. My husband prefers Tom's cooking!

I've been here many times, both under the previous and current owners, and it has always been a very pleasant experience. The food is always top-notch, whether a generous salad with interesting ingredients, a great baguette or a hot dish, such as a tasty Bolognese. The owners are friendly and welcoming and the waiting staff equally so.With the patio being at the entrance to the car park, you may expect little in the way of ambience - not so! The area is cleverly shielded and is a pleasant and relaxing place to have lunch.Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food, much of which is produced on site or sourced locally. It's my favourite place to eat in Highcliffe!

Stumbled upon this by accident. Had lunch with the family, we all had something different and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. All home made food.Service was great with very friendly staff. Also we finally found a place that can make a flat white in the new forest.

The owners make locals and newbies feel very welcome. Good food and coffee and their outside seating area is a little gem.

We were greeted as soon as we entered the delicatessen and made to feel welcome. We chose to have the same ham, sweet potato and feta quiche with a salad accompaniment. we were both impressed - the quiche was absolutely delicious and the salad was excellent too. We didn't really have room but finished off with a capuccino each and a decision to share a slice of cake. As there was an offer for having coffee and cake I bought two. The chocolate cake was generous in size and the coffee superb. We took our slice of carrot cake home with us and plan to eat it this evening!

Excellent pub about ten minutes walk from Christchurch Railway Station. Four cask beers on handpump when I visited including a mild and a stout. Very friendly and helpful staff and customers.

We had a quick lunch at the Cuckoo cafe. The jacket spuds, beans and smoked ham was just right and presented well on the plate. My husband enjoyed his brie, bacon and cranberry panine. The staff are always friendly, welcoming you with a smile.

Exceptional. Bored of all the standard but overpriced breakfasts about. Thought we'd try here. Excellent choice. 13 quid fror breakfast but when I saw what I got I thought it was not bad value at all compared to other place. Great ingredients and perfectly cook. Their " home" hash brown was a beautifully cooked rosti type potato. It was lovely. Poached egg could not have been better. All in all one of, if not the best breakfast I've ever had. Add the great staff and super warm comfortable surroundings and it definitely falls into the " exceptional " category. Excellent job. Bravo !
