Blue Pavilion in Leeds

The food is amazing: we had scallops in a porcini mushroom sauce which was really delicate in flavour, delicious roast duck with black truffle sauce, and Pak choi with ginger. An amazing dessert followed emitting dry ice for effect but it was absolutely delicious too. The restaurant is beautifully designed with high quality fittings and furniture, and the service was second to none. Faultless. I recommend most highly.

This place is amazing!!! The food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a family celebration in the VIP Jade room. As a table of 11 we ordered from varying menus. The Empire, the Sapphire, the festive and a la carte and there wasn’t one dish that disappointed. A huge shout out to Joseph who looked after us all evening. We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful place with great food, we had the festive set menu and it was delicious. The staff were very attentive and really helpful, they even found the pearl that had pinged off my earring. It was a special evening for our daughter in laws birthday and the staff gave her a card and wished her many happy returns. Thank you

Me dijeron que era opulento por dentro, no puedo decir que estaba demasiado impresionado. Es bonito pero nada que no haya visto antes. No estoy seguro de que tenga un código de vestimenta ya que la mitad de la clientela estaba vestida y luego había hombres asiáticos entrando con sudaderas con capucha y zapatillas en unas cuantas mesas El servicio era bueno, pero nos dieron una cabina justo cerca de la zona de servicio, incluso que pre-reservamos con unas cuatro semanas de antelación, así que había camareros constantemente de pie a mi lado y yo podía ver otra área de servicio en la parte trasera, que no era genial para ser honesto y eran muy lentos con las bebidas. Volvería, pero no con prisa. No creo que se distinga de otros lugares en realidad.

No puedo elogiar este restaurante lo suficiente. Reservamos temprano para el teatro después, pero llegamos un poco tarde. Desde el momento en que entramos hasta que dejamos el servicio fue fabuloso! Trajeron a todos muy rápido y fueron amables y atentos a nuestras necesidades. Ahora la comida... ¡guau! Elegimos en el menú de ajuste para ahorrar tiempo. Los entrantes dim sum eran increíbles, que incluían pato aromático exquisitamente presentado. Yo tenía el crujiente Kung Po gambas rey principal y mi marido tenía carne de res en salsa de pimienta negra; ambos increíbles. Definitivamente ordenando el mío de nuevo la próxima vez (y sé que debería probar otras cosas). Tomamos una copa gratis con ella y mi marido tomó un cóctel por el que morir. ¡Gracias!

I can honestly say this is the BEST Chinese restaurant I have been to. The food and service (call-out to Ainah and Alan) was exceptional, the decor was sumptuous. Its pricey, but you get what you pay for. Not a battered chicken nugget in orange sauce in sight! Delicious food and dimsum. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will certainly go again.

We were looking for a great Chinese restaurant and found one at Blue Pavilion. Great food, great presentation and great service

Lunch set menu is a very affordable add fillet steak dish for an an extra £5 and it becomes a a gift... dessert which is only an extra £5 is Michelin starred by pastry chef Hoi from Hong Kong . The service is smooth warm and elegant as is the settings of the restaurant we went for lunch and were served a fine dinng meal of 4 delicate and savoury dim sum ( do add the the devine soy flavoured and thickend with taro I belive) followed by tenderstem asparagus with salmon and steamed rice plus for my partner fillet steak in a superb Mongolian sauce with fried rice... the steak was melt in the mouth sensational (jeez oh it's fillet steak at a palty £5 supplement) I would like the menu to stay as pristine and affordable but can,t see how this is possible we had 3 courses with a beer and coffee each at £88 without tip. Refuse the sevice charge and give it direct to your server! be good to yourself and visit this elegant Chinese before the bean counters get a hold of this place. The sevice the food and price ( booze a little more expense) is an affordable delight and only wish we had one locally. I cannot detract from anything we left happy with a repeat you would expect from a a Michelin starred diner Thank you girls thank you chef......

Took my daughter for a meal for her birthday. Hang & Alan's service was 100% food was impeccable. Ate till we popped. Definitely returning for another occasion. 10/10.

We come to Leeds regularly, looking for new & different dining experiences. We discovered a fairly new restaurant (opened late last year), called Blue Pavilion, via the internet. We decided to give it a go, as we love Chinese food. We were not disappointed. Simply the best Chinese restaurant we have been to, including the other upmarket Chinese restaurant in Leeds (name begins with T), just a few minutes walk away. The food was extraordinary & very skilfully prepared & presented. It's the first time we've experienced gold leaf & edible flowers on Chinese food. The Wagu dumplings were to die for & the duck was the best we've tasted outside China. To top it off the staff did a brilliant job. Very friendly & attentive, which made the evening special. We would personally like to thank Ann, Hang & Roni for their efforts. It's not the cheapest Chinese restaurant we have been to, but it sure does deliver on quality. We'll be returning shortly.

Came here for dinner with my daughter, and we had an excellent meal. All the dim sum dishes were delicious, and the highlights were the egg tarts which were served warm, and incredibly buttery and flaky, and the dragon rolls which were crispy and perfect with the spicy mayo. Service was very attentive and we had a great time.

First time here, the atmosphere was absolutely amazing!! The food and service was excellent, Ina the waitress was very attentive and served with a beautiful smile. Highly recommended the dim sum, also the Mongolian beef was something to die for! Will definitely be returning soon.

Excellent service, delicious food, lovely venue. We had the lunch special, starter main and a drink for £28. We went on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn’t too busy but had a nice atmosphere. Dumplings were delicious and so was the beef and chicken main (pics) Really welcoming staff, very efficient service. Well worth trying this place

Awesome dinner night with my husband. We came here during the chinese new year period and was fascinated by how detailed and high class this place was. This is a true gem in Leeds and worth a visit - great staff and lovely service. Worth every penny!

We went on Chinese NY, the entertainment was very nice. Great atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Beautiful restaurant. The dessert was outstanding.

Ok so I had huge expectations of this place after looking at the menu. Sadly it didn’t really live up to them. But…. This is a lovely Chinese restaurant. Well worth the visit. It is overpriced for what it is but I have to say that it’s nice. The place is stunning and the quality of food is good and definitely better than an average Chinese but it just could be so much better. It’s priced as almost a Michelin Starred place but is nowhere near that accolade. There is enough food (this was a slight concern based on previous reviews). I would recommend going but just stick with the cheaper menu as I think they are just as good as the more expensive ones. Hope this helps.

Wow! Amazing place, amazing food. Leeds are lucky to have such a fabulous restaurant. The staff, each and everyone who we met couldn’t do enough for us. The presentation of the dishes enhanced the experience. Food was so tasty with gorgeous flavours. Sadly no black cod available as that’s my favourite but I wasn’t disappointed with the peppered fillet steak with Merlot. Hubby had salmon which he raved about. Expensive but we knew before we went but worth every penny as it truly was a fabulous dining experience.

Blue Pavillion is a fine dining oriental restaurant that more than exceeded our expectations on so many levels. First of all the ambiance on entry is classy, trendy and inviting. We loved the marble tiles, back-lit marble bar and oriental theme throughout The food was delicious, well presented, was of a decent size and the various courses had the 'wow' factor with their artistic presentation. The welcoming staff offered 5 star service throughout and were very professional. We loved the classy bar and delicious cocktails and can highly recommend a visit to this stylish restaurant. Thanks Blue Pavillion for a very enjoyable evening and 5 star ***** meal. We will certainly be back.

Found this spot in Leeds for a classy night out with friends. Been eyeing it since it opened, and finally tried it last week. Total win 🌟 the food are great, and the service is fantastic. Out of all the Chinese joints in Leeds, this one is a standout!! We went all out with the orders (more than 10 dishes, forgot to take all of the pics 😂), and everything was spot on. The seabass was a game changer, super fresh and perfectly balanced. Seriously, you gotta try it. Yeah, it's a bit pricier than your regular Chinese place in Leeds, but totally worth it for the vibe, service, and, of course, the delicious food. Overall, I'd say it's a reasonable splurge. Will comeback deffo!

We had a beautiful meal at Blue Pavillion. It was warm and cosy, with personal and sophisticated service. The manager went out of his way to get to know us and we felt very welcome. The food was not only some of the best we’ve had in Leeds but also in Asia. It’s expensive but we’ll go back, this restaurant is head and shoulders above others in Leeds. Congratulations to the team on creating a fabulous atmosphere, great music, impeccable service and above all exquisite food.

Nice venue however food certainly not fine dining can get the same quality at many other asian restaurants at half the price. Bar staff need to offer a smile and learn to be better cocktail salesman.

East Asia’s finest food and traditions come to Leeds. The Blue Pavilion truly blew my mind. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning with a warm and welcoming staff. As you walk through the dining room you are truly transported. Every dish ordered was impeccably presented, flavored, and delivered. All dishes are prepared from scratch on sight and that truly comes through in the freshness and quality. We had an array of dishes from land to sea. Highly recommend the BAO dumplings to start as well as the A5 Wagyu dumplings. Yes, I said A5 Wagyu! I had the Filet steak in merlot which was incredible. Lovely presentation on the plate but a symphony of flavors inside my mouth. Also, you will not leave hungry, there was plenty of steak to fill me up. I accompanied my dish with the noodles… I wanted to swim in them they were so delicious. Every dish we ordered was five star and I highly recommend this visually stunning and delectably tasteful new spot in Leeds that will not disappoint.

Nice meal but not worth the price charged .The staff were very pleasant ,surroundings lovely , food decent but vastly overpriced .There was also so a 12% service charge to the diners discretion however a lot of people would be embarrassed to take it off .I think they count on that . Sorry won’t go again

What an amazing experience! Both The food and service was incredible. 10 out of 10 from start to finish. The food blow us away especially the dim sum a definite must! A special mention to the manager who I believe was called si. He went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome which added to our dining experience. Thank you so much. We booked our table to celebrate New Years Day. From the moment we walked in on the red carpet we knew it was going to be an incredible experience. The surrounding decor is beautiful. Everything is so tastefully done, even down to how the staff are dressed. And speaking of the staff - they were all so polite and knowledgeable about the food. I had a classic dim sum platter to start. It was incredible. An explosion of taste. And how it was served was just fabulous. The main was Taiwanese chicken which was spicier than I expected but incredibly tasty. I devoured every mouthful. Don’t hesitate to make a reservation at this gorgeous restaurant. You won’t regret it. 10 out 10. And we are already planning a second visit.

Really excited to go to this new venue in Leeds. We didn’t even make it past the first course. Despite telling the staff not once but twice of a significant prawn allergy in the group whilst ordering. First dim sum they brought out had prawns in it. I had to rush my friend to the supermarket to get as many over the counter medicines we could. The manager apologised by saying “it was human error” Really really poor.

Blue Pavilion exceeded all expectations! Celebrated my birthday there yesterday, and it was an impressive experience from start to finish. Absolutely fantastic food- East Asian food but ratcheted up many noches. The staff were friendly & attentive and the dishes were served with panache. Highly recommended.
