this fish and chip shop is being refurbished to a very high standard and we will be offering a very high quality produce there will also be a self serve restaurant for people to sit down whilst eating and we will be offering a few special meals that will change regular keep an eye out for are free open day thanks

Very friendly staff and very nice fish and chips. No oil on the fish and chips not a chopped potato in a half, but little cooked potatoe pieces, gravy very nice as well not to salty like others do..

Nice cafe with great coffee. Food was alright but received great service from the girl with red hair. Super friendly and actually got my order right which never happens at most coffee places I go to.

Enjoyable…but slightly confusing roast experience. We got the beef sharer (which was DELICIOUS) however, we paid extra to add on ‘all the trimmings’ which turned out to be 3 Yorkshire puddings and some roasties and some kind of onion jam type thing. They were nice…but would’ve expected some kind of veggies given that description. I LOVED the Bloody Mary offerings (Horseradish and Marmite) both were exceptional!

The best bar in Meanwood. The best outdoor seating in Meanwood. Some of the best beers in Meanwood. Very relaxed atmosphere, very pleasant staff. Definitely worth a look, check out the Meanwood Tavern and then settle down in Alfred for the evening. Not somewhere to come in a large group but family friendly and plenty of space for small groups of friends.
