Blue Nile Restaurant in Stockport

Best Indian restaurant I have been in. The staff and owners make everyone feel welcome, whether new or regular. The food is fantastic, with a large list of traditional Bangladeshi dishes if you don't want the 'traditional' Indian restaurant fayre. I can't recommend highly enough.

Best Indian I’ve ever had. Food was lovely and my girlfriend who normally doesn’t like chicken in curry’s ate it all. The staff were lovely. Couldn’t find a fault

Never received the order. The delivery driver just handed it to some random person in the foyer of the Apartment block. He never rang my Flat number. Disgrace. Never again.

The food was barely warm. The naans were small but expensive. The £5.95 chicken pakora starter was 3 small pieces of chicken.

Great night last night for Husband's birthday. Staff couldnt be nicer , more attentive. Couldnt do enough for us and food was absolutely lovely. Highly recommended.

Not great tonight, curry’s had spilt in the bag, yet again onions missing, last time it was the lime pickle. Food didn’t seem to be a good quality, think I’ll give it a miss for a while and try somewhere else.

One of the best curry's I've had. I had a lamb jalfrezi, the sauce was perfect and the lamb was so tender and tasty. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. No complaints here. Thank you 😊 🙏

Lovely food arrived hot and before time

GREAT FOOD, FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE! The starters and mains were all delicious. We had Mix starter special, Chicken Chat, Lamb Saag and a Silsila which were absolutely delicious was made to perfection. The venue is very inviting and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Luckily got to meet the team, where all the magic takes place, leading by celebrity Chef Amir 🙂

Food arrived hot and on time. Curry was tasty but was massively let down by the chicken pieces in it, the texture of the chicken was awful and really spoiled the meal.

Delivery was good. Samosas cold and tough. We also found the Pathia to be very hot with lots of chillies and seeds.

All good except, I received 3 bags of salad and NO LIME PICKLE 😔

We’ve been before several times and been happy with the food and experience, including banter with the waiters. Last night started well; warm welcome, choice of table, compliments, rapport stuff etc. Then the food arrived with the sauce dishes served in white pottery bowls (which I didn’t think about at the time) but I was shocked and the first thing I thought and said aloud was “this looks like it’s been in the microwave”. Sadly my friend was embarrassed and it dampened the evening quite a bit. The smart-looking waiter did something very interesting though. He didn’t confirm or deny the food had been microwaved but responded as if I was guilty of mortally offending him, thus adding a further layer of complexity to the already embarrassing situation and fogging the issue, My wife only ever uses the 100% power on our 900w microwave at home so I’m very familiar with those bubbly rims to the food which stick slightly to the bowl and that’s exactly what I saw presented to me. Recalling previous occasions at the Blue Nile, this was the first time we weren’t served in sizzling metal bowls. Well, you can’t put those in the microwave, can you? To salvage the evening I stirred and ate the meal. The chicken pieces were tender and I would say freshly cooked however the sauce, tasty as it might be, was much thicker than last time and certainly not as subtle or fresh in its flavouring as before. I think my friend and I are going to have to have a discussion about where we next eat out in Hazel Grove.

It really is the best curry around and never fails to impress with the service.

Went for Christmas food was poor quality considering the price you are paying.meat was very dry and sauce wasn’t great guys were nice. Had a great experience ones before and I recommend this to the group bad decision.

Food arrived 20 mins later than estimated time. The food was warm and not hot and the naan bread was burnt.

Considering we spent £142 you think you might at least get a free starter or extra dips. Very tight.

This place used to be the best around - the last couple of orders have been awful. About 4 bits of chicken per dish , greasy biryani, all the same flavours. Wouldn't go back.

We’ve ordered several times but this time the food was just warm and not piping hot. The app showed the item as delivered after 20 mins. I called the restaurant and they said it was with the driver but would be another 15-20 mins. They did apologise but it was a shame the food wasn’t as hot as it could have been. Appreciate it is Christmas Eve, however.

Nice food nice price aswel . Makes it even worse when it comes half hour after leaving restaurant freezing. Go in don't order here . Be warned ..

Love the Blue Nile, best curry in town, however this was not the case tonight. Not only was it over 30 mins late, it was also cold. We had to reheat everything. The Nawabi was very poor, not what I am used to from the Blue Nile. Maybe the Chef was not the same tonight. Such a shame.

A bit disappointed with Blue Nile tonight, normally really good but the delivery came half an hour late, food wasn't hot by the time we got it, and after spending over £50 part of the order was missing, which we're still waiting on 25 minutes after phoning back up.

Always order from blue Nile and usually excellent. Not so much this evening. Seems very rushed. Know they do better

Just got back from the Blue Nile for a meal after not eating there for ages and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic. 5* from both of us, the food was superb (chicken Karahi and balti) and the service was absolutely top notch. Will not be leaving it so long to visit there again next time and can’t wait to return. Thanks again guys and see you soon, Will & Ling.

I rang the restaurant following no update on JustEat for a whole hour. The man I spoke to was difficult to understand as he was mumbling and didn't seem to care and was fairly rude, saying he's not the driver and how is he supposed to know. He said it was on it's way. 30 minutes later it arrived (I'm only 10 minutes away) not sure why it's taken so long on a Monday evening. Very disappointing. I'd rather the restaurant be more accurate with their times so customers know what to expect... I certainly won't be ordering from here again. Cold on arrival as I expected as resteraunt already stated they are doing numerous drop offs.

Food was over an hour late. Called to restaurant after 40 minutes and was told it would arrive in the next 5, it took a further 35 minutes to arrive.

£5.95 for a glass of coke. Gave me PTSD.

What can I say.... I am extremely picky about Indian takeaways and restaurants and yet to find a good Indian takeaway. Well I just found an excellent one. Chicken was so tender and fresh and the lamb wasnt chewy just perfect. Husband is picky on nan bread and said one of best nan's hes had. Highly recommend. We ordered chicken korma and lovely flavours and also a lamb rogan josh again stunning thank you

Late delivery and the food disappointed.

The food was excellent, service was below par as starters brought out whilst still eating poppadoms, all seemed a bit too rushed which was a shame. Some staff quite discourteous. Disappointed to say the least. Gone well downhill from the last few times eating here. As I said earlier it's a shame because it used to be really good, so now not recommended.

The food was almost an hour late. That would have been fine if when I called the restaurant to check, they had been kind, apologised and given a more accurate ETA. Instead, the man was arrogant, rude and couldn’t care less. Food was good, albeit cold but wouldn’t order again based on service.
