Blue Lagoon Fish & Chips (Queen St) in South Lanarkshire

Nuestro hijo está en casa de Londres para un fin de semana largo por su cumpleaños e insistió en tener su almuerzo de cumpleaños en Blue Lagoon ayer! Ambos comimos queso macarrones que fue el mejor que he probado en años 😋 También insistió en tener una barra de Marte frita y profunda y me presionó (al igual que nuestra encantadora espera - persona, Chirangnee, 😱) para probarlo - No me gustó, pero bueno, no se trataba de mí 😆

Pedí haggis con papas fritas y un pudín negro. Los haggis y el pudín negro estaban duros y demasiado cocidos. Los chips estaban empapados y fríos. Esta fue una de las peores comidas que he intentado comer. ¡Mantente alejado de esta tienda de chips!

No es una buena experiencia la comida no se cocina bien, las patatas fritas están secas y las porciones son un rip - off £ 4. 50 para una pequeña porción de patatas fritas que si comes en es de unas 20 patatas fritas en un plato lateral. No te molestes si quieres que el pescado con papas fritas tradicional encuentre otro lugar.

Gran lugar para comer personal muy amable y la comida era genial volvería si estoy de vuelta en Glasgow Me gustó un buen lugar para ir por patatas fritas de pescado tradicionales, etc

Nos atrajo porque era un sitio de fish@chips pero resultó que todo estaba malísimo. La camarera muy amable pero la comida fatal, demasiada mantequilla y el sitio olía fatal a aceite recalentado.

La comida no era genial en absoluto, partes de ella estaban frías (que no comimos, pero aún así tuvimos que pagar porque deberíamos habernos quejado antes y la camarera muy grosera lo habría calentado)

La comida era muy agradable, la salsa de curry era muy espesa y cremosa. Fue una cena perfecta. Chirangee era una camarera encantadora gracias.

Este es uno de los puntos de venta de restaurante de pescado con papas fritas de Blue Lagoon. El servicio era atento y agradable, tenía fish & chip aquí y me gusta el rebozado sobre el pan rallado, el pescado era fresco

¡Evita este lugar! Soy un Glasgweigan de 6a generación y nunca he tenido fish and chips esta basura en Glasgow en mi vida. Sobreprecio, empapada barra de marte frito que no estaba cocinado correctamente, obviamente patatas fritas congeladas, pequeña porción por precio, miembros del personal muy groseros. Querían cobrar por pequeños paquetes de salsa de tomate a pesar de que gasté £ 18 por una comida para compartir con mi familia. Cajero no podía entender cómo estaba enojado por tener que pagar extra por un paquete de salsa de tomate en lugar de la tienda que tiene una botella detrás del mostrador como en los viejos tiempos... No es correcto en absoluto que no se puede conseguir una cena de pescado justo al lado de George Square exactamente donde mis bisabuelos solían sentarse y disfrutar de su comida después de la segunda guerra mundial ... . . momentos tristes que vivimos ahora.

¿Qué ha pasado? Solía ser genial. Personal amable y comida recién cocinada. Ahora, personal que habla entre ellos y comida que ha estado bajo el calor durante horas. Seco e insípido. No impresionado en absoluto

Food was excellent, however, the service left a lot to be desired. Server was extremely rude and we will not be using again.

Lovely waitress so very pleasant,it wasn’t a grand restaurant but the fish suppers that we had were delicious and fresh.Very reasonable prices compared to nearby places.Will definitely pop in again.

Food was horrible chips had all bad bits and batter burnt. Staff didn't care when complained. Didn't eat meal but happily took the money.

There seemed to be some severe issues with the staff understanding English language. They made two mistakes in our order and instead of fixing the issue and being polite they accused me of making a mistake. They charged me for what they gave us and yet decided to be very rude. I will never go there again.

Quality gluten free fish and chips is a rarity but my haddock and chips was excellent. The batter was so crispy and light that I found it hard to believe it was gluten free. There was even a separate condiment tray. Highly recommend if you need to eat gluten free.

Our first trip to Blue Lagoon in Queen Street, Glasgow. We sat in for a good warm cup of coffee and a fried marsbar to share. The shop was nice and toasty, although the coffee was quite cold, the fried marsbar was absolutely amazing. The ice cream broke through the sweetness of the marsbar which made it delicious. Will definitely recommend Blue Lagoon.

The worst portion of chips ever 4 chips reheats and scraps for £3.80 How do you justify this price unbelievable Drowned in salt and served with a attitude Obviously still in business for all the late revellers after chucking out time

Excellent fish and chips next to George Square. Receive and extra fish for around £2. Also get cup of tea with bread and butter.

Waiting hour and half for two fish suppers then I gave up and cancelled due to no delivery drivers why except orders when u know you have no drivers

My go to spot for a good , reasonable priced dinner in Glasgow before a Friday night out . So handy for Merchant city venues, food always great quality, best fish tea in Glasgow ( I've sampled other branches of BL too) Taz is the No 1 fryer ! Always crisp, crunchy batter, piping hot, fresh fish . I even ahd Breakfast next moring , on discovering they open at 9:30 Saturday . Full fried breakfast, fresh made, delicious .

Brought food today here it was absolutely inedible fish was rock solid took a mouthful and the taste was that bad it made me sick I took it straight back in and litterally the guy did not care told me I had to come back another day phone a manager refused to help even tho I said I do not live here so that was not possible had to call a manager and I explained what had happened he said I could have a refund even tho the man serving had said I had eaten the food and had not I litterally took the whole meal back in apart from the bite I ate that came straight back up, with the fouls taste it tasted so off the person serving chucked money at me and said I hope your happy as this has to come out our tips, now a I would not have tipped for the service I received and b it is not my fault if the manager told them it ha dto be refunded out of there tips this is something that the manager should take responsibility for either way I would not recommend eating here. while waiting to speak to a manager I whitnessed the cook going in the bin with his gloves handling money and serving food and handling raw fish then straight on to bagging up food with the same pair of gloves needs reporting to trading standard as this was just plain awful

We had the quick breakfast it was hot, tasty and the service was great and the price was brilliant!!!. We were recommended to come here and we to will recommended anyone visiting Glasgow to come too !!!! x

Went in to Blue Lagoon on a glorious Monday afternoon around 1pm. We thought it would be really busy but there were only 2 tables occupied. Served by a nice woman and friendly. Ordered a 2 fish supper, and my partner had the new 10oz BL Burger. Everything was hot and absolutely delicious with a perfect check back done 2 minutes into eating. Great food and service, thankyou.

Standards are definitely slipping at this place. Fish that's more batter than fish, and rubbery chips !! Would try somewhere else but the Blue Lagoon Network seems to own every fryer in Central Scotland ....

Visited many of the chip shops in the Blue Lagoon franchise.Always find them decent food, well prepared, courteous staff, had both carry out and sit in meals, however the one in Queen street Glasgow surpasses them all. Had the best fish'n'chip tea with mushy peas...

One of the best fish cakes I had, crisp outside soft inside. The fish n chips was also tasty. The ambience also is soothing & servers caring.

I was a tourist. The gentleman and lady serving me were particularly helpful and thoroughly delightful. They were so wonderful that they are deserving of commendation.

As something of a rarity, it was great to enjoy a vegan supper in Glasgow. Veganism aside, it's one of the best chippies I've enjoyed in a good few years. Hopefully more vegan options to follow but for non-vegans you cannot go wrong here.
