Blue Heaven Bar & Grill in York

Fabulous cocktail menu and excellent, friendly service. Our waiter was more than happy to make drinks to our liking, which we really appreciated. 10/10!

Nos sorprendió encontrar que este restaurante no estaba totalmente reservado dado el excelente servicio y la comida que experimentamos. Fuimos un “paseo” y nos encontramos con una cálida bienvenida y una manera muy agradable de la joven que nos sirvió. Nos sentamos afuera en la parte de atrás, que era un lugar muy agradable para sentarse y disfrutar del clima soleado, buena comida y una copa de vino. No parecía estar ocupado, así que solo diría que lo use o lo pierda. Un lugar encantador para Oriente Medio y comida turca / mediterránea servida en un entorno agradable por el personal centrado en el cliente.

Had an excellent meal here today with a friend. Lamb soup and olives for starters with delicious naan bread, followed by sea bass and steak. All of the food was hot and tasty and good size portions. We couldn't manage a desert! The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. It was also nice and warm which was good as it was freezing out. Would visit again and would definitely recommend.

Found this place on Groupon and were so pleased we did. My husband and I visited on a quiet Monday evening in March, hence there were only a few tables occupied. However every aspect of the meal was perfect. Finlay (?) - hope I’ve got that right - was our waiter and he was absolutely charming. So friendly and attentive. He even brought us complimentary baby guinnesses as we were both celebrating our birthday. The food was delicious. Starters of lamb tagine and moussaka served with garlic flatbread, followed by a sirloin steak and a mandi lamb. The only disappointment was that there were no shawarmas available but I will be having one on our next visit which will hopefully be soon!

Excellent food, really enjoyed everything we ordered. Popped in on a whim and had a fab time. Very reasonably priced, would definitely go again if we come back to York.

Popped in for a drink to this little gem with Charlie as our waiter, this guy is full of information from every kind of gin to wine! So friendly 😃 would come here just for him! Also mention lyn who was very professional and friendly on our 1st visit, will definitely return. Lyn and Charlie are an asset.

Delicious food!! Loved this place as I have to follow a low carb meal plan for medical reasons...so much choice! Great service and relaxed. Good value too ...will be back!!

Came across this whilst having a stroll around the town. Charlie the waiter was super friendly but professional. The food was really tasty and portion size was perfect for lunchtime. Great atmosphere and would definitely recommend

What a great place!! Just came across it whilst exploring York. I had the seabass and it was superb. The quality of the food and service was second to none. Charlie and Lynn were very attentive, polite and courteous. The tiramisu was outstanding for dessert as well. Would have no hesitation in recommending the Blue Heaven and so glad we discovered it. Give this a try you will not be disappointed- there is a fantastic beer garden at the back of the restaurant as well.

Stumbled across this lovely restaurant whilst walking round the streets of York. We sat out the back in the outside area which lovely, as was the inside which we walked through. The food and drinks here were perfect. Highly recommend the chicken bites from the menu! If your looking for a hidden gem, head to this place. Will definitely be returning.
