Blue Garden Restaurant in City of London, Westminster

Blue Garden was so good. We got the mixed shawarma plater, the chicken shawarma platter Hummas , cheese samousek and fries. I wish the garlic size was a bit bigger, could never have enough lol. It was delicious. Portion size is large and perfect. It’s kid friendly, staff was nice and funny. It’s very affordable

My wife and I visited this place on Friday evening to meet my son for a few drinks. On arrival it appeared to be a nice friendly place. However, when we asked for the bill they tried charging us £336 for one bottle of wine, four large vodka and lemonades and two large JD and cokes!! I admit we had had a few drinks before we arrived and the staff obviously thought they could overcharge us and we wouldn't notice. When I said I am not paying that and that I am happy to sit and wait for the police to arrive and after my son spoke to a member of staff, as if by magic the bill was reduced to £137, which is the amount we should have been charged. VERY DODGY PLACE, IF YOU DO VISIT HERE PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON WHAT YOU SPEND!!!

Visité en una noche de lunes a viernes; mucho personal de servicio pero el servicio aún era muy lento. Muy pocos clientes. El recomienda los pasteles haloumi y la salsa de berenjenas con arroz; el salmón era un poco dudoso y el puré de papas era solo una papa aplanada con un tenedor. También disfrutamos el baklava y el café libanés (turco). El precio es bastante alto en relación con el nivel de servicio y la calidad constante.

Went here for a pre theatre dinner as a belated Valentine's day treat. Had a 2 course meal which was very tasty but the service was below what we expected considering the pricing of the restaurant. Even though the place was almost completely empty they were very keen to get rid of us and kept asking us if we were finished while we were still clearly eating. After we were asked for third time we decided to get the bill and leave. Good food but felt unwelcome so we won't be back again.

Llevamos a nuestros amigos a una cena de cumpleaños como un regalo especial y quedamos muy decepcionados por los eventos que se desarrollaron. Mantuvimos un labio superior británico rígido y sonreímos todo el tiempo para alegrarles la ocasión, pero fue una noche bastante grave. Primero, uno de los entrantes no pudo llegar. Algo finalmente apareció justo cuando todos los demás terminaban. Nuestro compañero todavía estaba comiendo su comida cuando llegó el plato principal, que se dejó caer sin que se despejara la mesa. Excepto que una de las comidas no era lo que se había solicitado, y era importante hacerlo bien para su pareja que tiene enfermedad celíaca y no puede comer gluten, lo cual había sido estresado. Su comida correcta finalmente llegó justo cuando todos habíamos terminado. Nos ofrecieron una fruta muy fría, supongo que a modo de disculpa, pero no hubo disculpa verbal. La comida tampoco nos impresionó demasiado, lo que habría compensado el terrible servicio. No puedo recomendar este lugar y no volveremos.

Extremely overpriced restaurant with average food and confused service. We won’t be bothering again.

a change from the usual food in this area, the lamb dishes were lovely, the service friendly. I was fascinated by the hooker pipes being smoked on the outside heated enclosure . We thought it was a flower shop as the outside enclosure is decorated with flowers. We received a complimentary desert, rather similar to Greek baklava but not as sweet.

We walked in opted to seat outside as we felt a little under dresses and we just got done touring for the day. Regardless, we were treated like dignitaries. The service was only outmatches by the quality of the dishes we chose. I had the chef’s special chicken with saffron rice and couldn’t put my fork and knife down. Excellent hummus and cheese appetizers. My wife enjoyed here vegetarian entree as well. I would not hesitate to come back if time allows.

We booked ahead today & went for a festive dinner with family members to this restaurant. We had alerted the restaurant in the online booking system about gluten allergies. Whilst ordering food we ensured that the waiter knew we had people with gluten allergies so that we ordered dishes that were safe for them - in fact we just ordered all dishes that we were assured were gluten free for the whole table, apart from flatbreads for 2 people. First we were told ( a while after ordering) that falafel could not be made gluten free despite it being indicated in the menu, then a lamb dish arrived with a wheat flat bread on top of it, then a rice was bought that had wheat vermicilli in it. Unfortunately it was too late for the celiac in our group before we noticed the vermivelli in the rice. The waiter did not recognise the vermicelli so had to ask the chef about it to find out it was not gluten free. The manager investigated the problem & was apologetic that a mistake was made: they did not alert us thay the rice they brought out was not gluten free. The apology was appreciated however this is not what I would expect of a place like this in the centre of London. The person in our group who is celiac is now likely to spend the first 3 days of her Christmas break being sick. The food itself was pretty average for Lebanese cuisine whilst being expensive - you pay for the location I guess. Next time for food like this we'll stick to the restaurants around the Edgware Road! This was an extremely disappointing evening.

Lovely ambiance and good service. The fruit juices were amazing. Some of the dishes were good while others disappointing. We go to Arabic restaurants so we have plenty to compare it to. For that price we expected much better. Worst of all..., I found myself chewing on a hair that had been mixed in with the tabbouleh. It was definitely not mine as my hair is much longer and thicker. Shame!

Had our pre theatre meal here and what a good choice we made. It is Lebanese food at its best. Service was excellent. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Lovely atmosphere too.

Great find! Lovely authentic food and atmosphere. Welcoming service and delicious flavoursome food and great value for money. Would definitely recommend and will be back on our next visit.

It was the day of the People's March, it had rained and London was heaving. My friend and I were looking for lunch at about 3 pm. We saw Blue Garden, where there were one or two empty tables, and we were welcomed warmly, despite our very bedraggled appearance. The restaurant is very smart, and accommodating at the same time. We were attended by Riad with a warm, respectful courtesy. The food (chicken and saffron rice) came promptly and was delicious. Riad recommended a small selection of baclava with our coffee, and we slowly relaxed into a fabulous conversation about the day's events, while having our coffee topped up. This was a true oasis for us, and gave us a lift before we made our way to King's Cross and home to Newcastle. Thank you, Riad and Blue Garden! I shall visit the next time I am in London!

This new restaurant by Trafalgar Square had a good lunch offer which tempted us inside. It is relatively pricey, even for this part of London, but the food was very nicely prepared and the service was friendly enough with regular attendance. We were here for a late lunch so there was not many people there. A great plus here is the very central location, and asset difficult to beat.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Terrible customer service, it took 50mins to have our starter order taken. We have our main order and Starters were good. The mains arrived 40mins later with the terrible manager trying to tell my mum that she should have the chicken. It’s nice. Even she ordered lamb. My lamb was paper flavoured lamb! Prime lamb cutlet my foot! All the mains were dry, poor portions and again terrible service and wait.

Visited here on a Tuesday night post West-End show and enjoyed a very good meal. The building is on the corner of the Strand/Trafalgar Square and is impressive, with seating inside or outside under cover. We enjoyed starters and main courses, all very well cooked...

Popped in after the National Gallery nearby, went for the simple fixed lunch, all delicious, well presented, good Lebanese beer and wine (white house wine a little unrefined but quite drinkable), service friendly and professional, would definitely come back.

Great Lebanese food. I would recommend the arayes, falafel and minced lamb kebab. Location is right next to Trafalgar Square, so is convenient for the theatre.
