Blue Bell Inn in North Lincolnshire

Visited for breakfast and had the 'Large Breakfast', which was okay. The venue is large, popular, but quite dark. The service was decent enough, but some of the tables and menus could do with a wipe down due to being rather sticky. The beans also lacked any taste.

Brilliant.. good food and excellent service.

Just like any other Wetherspoons. I didn't have to wait long at the bar to be served. The food was served quickly and the surroundings were clean.

Spoons can vary, but we had a good experience in this one. Tables were free of debris and quickly cleaned. Mixed grills for two (on offer)with a very good Oakham ale and a soft drink 17 quid, what's not to like,?

Nice food, quick service and nice surroundings

Some random prices for food these days, £10:08 for the scampi, chips and peas plus soft drink. Very tight with the chips, for that price I'd have expected another half helping of chips at least. Very busy pub, half past six on a Friday evening and we were hard pressed to find seating.

Breakfast always good with lots of variety

Went in on a friday night, not busy but busy enough too give a nice atmosphere. Served well and promptly, pub was clean and tidy. Great drinks at a great price, didnt eat but have enjoyed food in spoons before. Looking forward to next visit soon.

Good food. Attentive staff. Excellent breakfasts. Can't vouch for other meals. Very busy as it was only 9.30am. Lots of breakfasts being served. Highly recommended.

Come for lunch as we visit scunthorpe for the first time. We thought go to wetherspoon because been to a lot of wetherspoon so we know what we gonna get. But we thought so wrong, the service was terrible, the girl served behind the bar was very unfriendly. Little smile would be a good start, feel like she not even want to be there. Didn't say anything at the time simply because don't want spit on my food

Went in on the 17th August around 3.50p.m. One bar person serving with seven people patiently waiting there turn.. What else could we do afew grunts and groans. Lovely lady doing her best to serve with a smile. Well done.. Need more bar staff. Where was the manager!!! No where to be seen!!!

Very rude staff especially the old lady (was told her name is Kath) and deputy manager in charge today 04/11/23 who said his name was Phil. When they have staff on they cannot be bothered to keep the place clean. Dirty tables. Dirty cutlery. Dirty carpet. I caught Norovirus from their earlier this year. I cannot prove it but I deduced it was from here as I was the only one who ate the breakfast and my partner didn't and he wasn't ill and it was the only thing I ate all day. I would have given minus 1 but unfortunately Google doesn't allow it.

Cheap, family friendly and welcoming

Good choice of real ales but usually not very well kept. Much better to travel to the Wethersoons in Gainsborough where the ales are always tip top.

Typical Wetherspoons. Plenty of seating. Good range of drinks/ beer all well priced. Friendly atmosphere as a ‘visitor’. Service average.

Me and my friend received poor customer service, we didn’t receive a drink we ordered after which the workers denied their fault, and said we apparently “already took it” when this wasn’t the case. Some of the workers were very unprofessional and we didn’t appreciate their attitude towards us when there could’ve been a simple solution

Good place, cheaper but stag a bit slow and you need wait so.w.ti.es.more the 10 min. but the rest is ok

Seems to be a very popular eatery. Enjoyed meal and drinks.

Went for a morning breakfast with 2 of my brothers, and all 3 of us complimented on how nice it was. The service was first class and very polite, and that lovely we touch of filling your cup up again for free at the machine. We will definitely be coming back hear again next week, would highly recommend 👌

Very bad the way staff was on Friday 17th. Just stood at the bar with a smile on my face in my own thoughts and I get manhandled out the pub by a trio of retards. That was wrong and disgusting. They even took my drink off me. I hope these dogs suffer

Food quality has gone downhill recently.

Would give this place 0 star if I could, absolutely appalling customer service from this pub. Took almost over 30 minutes for our drinks to be served. Won’t be coming back here.

Went yesterday at 5pm, (09.05.24) quite busy on arrival as expected as it was a lovely sunny day, got served quite quick but signs on the bar that if paying by card best to use the app as they were having problems with the card readers. My next drink I ordered via the app as I could see the area where they get the app orders ready I saw the girl who was bringing the drinks to the tables each time she went back to get more drinks stood chatting to the person pouring them not just as she was working but empty handed and chatting away, I saw what I presume was my drink and went over and asked, and it was so took it back to my table. Halfway down my drink i ordered another drink thinking by the time I finished the order should have been brought to the table.... wrong, after 20 minutes I went over and asked if my drink was ready and was told no, I replied its been 20 minutes and was told they are busy this may I add had both duty managers preparing the drinks ! So I went to the bar and got a drink. One and a half hours later the area was cleared of all the back up orders of drinks and hey ho still no drink, I took my phone over to show the barman my receipt and that I had not had my drink, by now the two duty managers had gone, the barman dealt with it straight away sending it over and apologised, no fuss no problem. It's ridiculous I did as suggested and used the app and they could not give the service, the actual bar staff are very hard working and always polite even under pressure, the two duty managers obviously could do with some extra training and wetherspoons need to get the card machines working correctly.

Was quite surprised with Wetherspoons in Scunthorpe. A large, airy pub, tables were very clean, and staff decent.. The food is the usual menu, and beer was cheaper than some of the Wetherspoons Ive been in. I had the sirloin steak, and the meal was cooked how i like it, and hot on arrival. It was a Monday evening, and so not very busy, so more relaxing than when its busy i presume

Well it is what it is … a pub chain , the mrs did the orders on line , the food came quickly but went cold quickly, the curry was bland ,peas were tinned not nice chips went cold ,the fish was nice and that was the only redeeming factor , cheap fast food in a can pub ?

Food was delicious, staff pleasant and friendly, nothing not to like, definitely one of the better spoons I have been in.

Staff were very friendly and helpful the breakfast looked OK but I only went in for a coffee and a chat which was sound. The place was very clean and tidy. Will definitely be going back

We usually enjoy breakfast here but why is it so difficult for them to NOT cut my toast in half? I know it sounds trivial but surely it’s easier to not slice it than actually slice it… When I last asked for my toast not to be sliced my partners smashed avocado, muffin came with toast instead of a muffin and my single slice of toast with my breakfast was still sliced in half?? Please cmon give me what I ask for it’s really easy if you listen. I always ask for it not to be sliced because I like to make a little sausage and bacon toastie with it with my breakfast but they can’t quite get to grips with cutting it in proper half’s so I ask for it to be a whole slice like when it’s put in the toaster. I can only imagine there’s some crazy knife wielding apprentice sat waiting for toast to appear so they can chop chop, chop, chop chop!!

Popped in for some early dinner with work colleague. The place was a typical Weatherspoons with cheap food and drink. It was decent and friendly

Thought we'd go for a day out and passed through Scunthorpe on our way. 'Spoons by numbers once again. It always surprises me how management, such that it is, seem to to be more than happy not to go the extra mile and settle on 'Average'. I get the restrictions placed on budgets at places like this, but cleanliness and a smile never goes far wrong. And hot food is usually a good idea too. Is it too much to ask? Maybe, maybe not. The meal was OK, nothing better than that and the pub just felt a little on the tired side. I won't be hurrying back but would certainly pop in again just hoping we'd just called at a bad time.

Will not be rushing to go back anytime soon Dirty table had to ask for it to be cleaned, tables should be cleaned after table is cleared, Meals were brought out and we all said we're are the chips hardly any on the plate,when we raised this issue we was told that was it, your staff member didn't seem bothered in the slightest

The atmosphere was as you'd expect for a Wetherspoon. Cheap beer and cosy effective food. On spite of their being staff on the floor and behind the bar noone seemed interested in serving (at the time of my visit).

Just wanted a simple meal. The steak and kidney pie was great. The apple crumble was great. Will definitely come again.

Usually great for food and atmosphere but arrived around 2:45, ordered drinks and food, I ordered 5oz Burger and chips, my friend had cheesey baked potato with coleslaw. We'd only just got to our table sat for 2-3 minutes when our food arrived, obviously not freshly cooked, ok I understand the potato can be prepped earlier. But not the burger, it was lukewarm and dried up like a hockey puck, the chips were lukewarm. My friends potato didn't have hardly any cheese on it and it was lukewarm as well because the butter wouldn't melt. Ok. I know its not a huge meal, but you expect a small burger to be cooked fresh and food to be hot. Disgraceful.

Excellent range of beers with a low price tag, our meals were well worth the money.

Fast service to say how busy it was. Tables not cleared quickly and very loud. But cheap drinks. I did not eat here on this occasion.

We go in most weeks for tea. Often have the steak and I have to say it’s one of the best I’ve ever had! Fantastic value for money, the gourmet steak deal with a sauce and onion rings is fabulous! Husband often has the mixed grill and he very happy with that. Tried the burgers as well and they’ve been great too. Always have an enjoyable evening at spoons in Scunthorpe and always find the staff friendly

Good food, good drink and service. Typical Wetherspoons pub many of which we have visited and with only one exception, have rated them all which is why we go back.

Can't fault wetherspoons, usually always good food. This was our first time in this blue bell and we loved the food. I wished I hadn't of got Brie on my burger though as I forgot I'm not that keen on it, but it wasn't there fault. Brilliant meal thank you we will be back

Visited at different times for breakfast dinner and tea and each time it was great. Friendly staff great atmosphere and lovely prepared food. Will be going again when we are back in the area

Good pub food, service good even tho quite busy. Easy and convenient

Easy to park at rear. Simple entry into premises I was in electric wheelchair. Not to crowded plenty of space between tables so easy transition to table. It would be useful to have a list of craft beers available either from bar or at table otherwise it's a further trip to bar in wheelchair to view. Overall a pleasant visit

Great staff & prices not bad but they always seem to have run out of something from your meal such as somosa, coleslaw, sour cream, etc. Update: Food availability has improved but twice sold guest ales that weren't available & offered a cheaper pint with no refund of the difference. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Defo on the ball,clean bright relaxing atmosphere. All staff looked like making an effort,spotlessly clean and tidy...weird but nice !

The food was ok like the food. The knives and forks were dirty, I had to go back and replace them and the next lot wasn't great either. Food was ok at best. Atmosphere was flat.
