Blue Bell Inn in North Lincolnshire

Well it is what it is … a pub chain , the mrs did the orders on line , the food came quickly but went cold quickly, the curry was bland ,peas were tinned not nice chips went cold ,the fish was nice and that was the only redeeming factor , cheap fast food in a can pub ?

Food was delicious, staff pleasant and friendly, nothing not to like, definitely one of the better spoons I have been in.

Staff were very friendly and helpful the breakfast looked OK but I only went in for a coffee and a chat which was sound. The place was very clean and tidy. Will definitely be going back

We usually enjoy breakfast here but why is it so difficult for them to NOT cut my toast in half? I know it sounds trivial but surely it’s easier to not slice it than actually slice it… When I last asked for my toast not to be sliced my partners smashed avocado, muffin came with toast instead of a muffin and my single slice of toast with my breakfast was still sliced in half?? Please cmon give me what I ask for it’s really easy if you listen. I always ask for it not to be sliced because I like to make a little sausage and bacon toastie with it with my breakfast but they can’t quite get to grips with cutting it in proper half’s so I ask for it to be a whole slice like when it’s put in the toaster. I can only imagine there’s some crazy knife wielding apprentice sat waiting for toast to appear so they can chop chop, chop, chop chop!!

Popped in for some early dinner with work colleague. The place was a typical Weatherspoons with cheap food and drink. It was decent and friendly

Will not be rushing to go back anytime soon Dirty table had to ask for it to be cleaned, tables should be cleaned after table is cleared, Meals were brought out and we all said we're are the chips hardly any on the plate,when we raised this issue we was told that was it, your staff member didn't seem bothered in the slightest

The atmosphere was as you'd expect for a Wetherspoon. Cheap beer and cosy effective food. On spite of their being staff on the floor and behind the bar noone seemed interested in serving (at the time of my visit).

Didn't eat as just popped in for coffee but impressed with service and helpful staff

Just wanted a simple meal. The steak and kidney pie was great. The apple crumble was great. Will definitely come again.

Usually great for food and atmosphere but arrived around 2:45, ordered drinks and food, I ordered 5oz Burger and chips, my friend had cheesey baked potato with coleslaw. We'd only just got to our table sat for 2-3 minutes when our food arrived, obviously not freshly cooked, ok I understand the potato can be prepped earlier. But not the burger, it was lukewarm and dried up like a hockey puck, the chips were lukewarm. My friends potato didn't have hardly any cheese on it and it was lukewarm as well because the butter wouldn't melt. Ok. I know its not a huge meal, but you expect a small burger to be cooked fresh and food to be hot. Disgraceful.

Excellent range of beers with a low price tag, our meals were well worth the money.

Disappointed in lager. Never a frothy head on my pint. Think the pumps need a food clean. Staff to retrain how to pull a good pint. Food (beans always cold)

Fast service to say how busy it was. Tables not cleared quickly and very loud. But cheap drinks. I did not eat here on this occasion.

We go in most weeks for tea. Often have the steak and I have to say it’s one of the best I’ve ever had! Fantastic value for money, the gourmet steak deal with a sauce and onion rings is fabulous! Husband often has the mixed grill and he very happy with that. Tried the burgers as well and they’ve been great too. Always have an enjoyable evening at spoons in Scunthorpe and always find the staff friendly

Good food, good drink and service. Typical Wetherspoons pub many of which we have visited and with only one exception, have rated them all which is why we go back.

Standard spoons experience. Nothing exceptional to warrant 5 stars but is decent enough.

Breakfast was lovely before catching the train to London

Can't fault wetherspoons, usually always good food. This was our first time in this blue bell and we loved the food. I wished I hadn't of got Brie on my burger though as I forgot I'm not that keen on it, but it wasn't there fault. Brilliant meal thank you we will be back

Visited at different times for breakfast dinner and tea and each time it was great. Friendly staff great atmosphere and lovely prepared food. Will be going again when we are back in the area

I'm not a fan of Weatherspoons, but saying that I will go in and use the facilities if I'm with others....

Good pub food, service good even tho quite busy. Easy and convenient

Easy to park at rear. Simple entry into premises I was in electric wheelchair. Not to crowded plenty of space between tables so easy transition to table. It would be useful to have a list of craft beers available either from bar or at table otherwise it's a further trip to bar in wheelchair to view. Overall a pleasant visit

Great staff & prices not bad but they always seem to have run out of something from your meal such as somosa, coleslaw, sour cream, etc. Update: Food availability has improved but twice sold guest ales that weren't available & offered a cheaper pint with no refund of the difference. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dirty tables. Dirty cutlery. Dirty carpet. I caught Norovirus from their earlier this year. I cannot prove it but I deduced it was from here as I was the only one who ate the breakfast and my partner didn't and he wasn't ill and it was the only thing I ate all day. I would have given minus 1 but unfortunately Google doesn't allow it.

Defo on the ball,clean bright relaxing atmosphere. All staff looked like making an effort,spotlessly clean and tidy...weird but nice !

The food was ok like the food. The knives and forks were dirty, I had to go back and replace them and the next lot wasn't great either. Food was ok at best. Atmosphere was flat.

It is a Cheap Pub for food and a drink with friendly Staff. But it is very Dark when you are at the Bar. Could do with some better Lighting when you are getting your drinks at the bar. There is not a lot of Atmosphere.

Drinks are cheap and you can order off the app, which is good.

We generally love Wetherspoons, but in the north of England, the one in Scunthorpe is the real deal. Been there again today. Absolutely bang on! There is an issue that needs to be addressed, and this is not a criticism. The menu price is less than the app price. I asked about it, and was charged the menu price. We love it. Just sort the nuts and bolts? Best in the area as far as we're concerned. 👍👍👍

Quite a nice Wetherspoons. Brilliant layout and very nicely done out. Lovely beer garden out the back and it even has a roof terrace which was unfortunately closed on our visit. Nice non smoking section in the beer garden. Would of been a 5 but didn't go plain sailing at the bar.

First time in here, its a spoons so it is what it is really ,good at what it does, never ate at this one this time but I assume its good as all other spoons, we found this place very loud near bar area and put this down to low roof, it's not a complaint, just an observation , outside rear area looks great

Usual Witherspoons pub with decent beers at decent prices. However, unlike most Wetherspoons pubs, this one appears to be painfully understaffed. On a Monday afternoon, even though there seven people waiting at the bar, there was only one server.

I received a scolding from a manager as they had ordered me 2 meals instead of 1 when i asked for a refund. food is nice but staff can be quite unfriendly

Ordered an American burger and omg was rubbish chips were nice sent my burger back had nothing in it not as was written down won’t be going back for food again a waste of money not worth it

Great selection of beers. Decent enough and cheap food.

Food was fine , was a busy time so hot drink vending was out for some drinks . There never seems to be any rush to sort it out even when it's obvious there's a problem

Quick coffee and a breakfast bagel.

Awful. Had a large breakfast and a traditional breakfast. The only decent part was the hash browns . Paid extra on both meals for hockey pucks which were supposed to be black pudding. The rest of the food was lukewarm . The toast was more like warm bread. The coffee machine wasn't working as needed filling at 9.30am !!! Saw staff in the kitchen putting food on plates using their bare hands which shows just how hot the food was. The staff had no interest in customer relations whatsoever. Will definitely never be going back .

Really nice place , very friendly staff , catering for all the dodgy dietary requirements my friend had, no problem finding a place for him and his wheelchair

Didn't have food as was only there to celebrate a friend's birthday but fab service at the bar and fab low prices compared to my local and having no entertainment actually made people hold a conversation that wasn't on their phones

We usually use the brigg branch and have fantastic service and food . Due to having less time we tried here . Never ever again . Nearly an hour from 10.30 order to getting food . The small American breakfast was awful the only nice bit was the maple syrup. Pancakes cold and contained two pieces of fat - advertised as bacon and the egg wouldn’t cut with a knife very rubbery . The staff were not bothered and only one poor waitress at one point . We should of walked when we noticed in the kitchen all good served by using hands - even eggs and one man wiped his nose twice on back of his hand !! Disgusting and never ever again .

If your not a regular your stared at when you walk in. Classic breakfast was more like a toddler portion could of counted the beans on my plate.

Yet again another poor breakfast at this Wetherspoons. After ordering the food it was in front of me in about 3 minutes. Unfortunately the eggs were stone cold, the toast was cold and the rest was just warm. No one came round to ask how my food was so I have left this review. I won’t be going back for breakfast again

I have been to Blue bell once since I visited scunthorpe. One of the most happening places at scunthorpe with music and crowds. Must try their chicken wings and Pizza.
