Blue Bay Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We have just had the mushroom halloumi burger and a blueberry and lemon mega muffin, it was absolutely fabulous as was the tea.

Unfortunately the Jaffa cake was a few days old as it was dry and stale...disappointed

Not open when it should be open.

We visited Sandy acres cafe and we found the food amazing, the staff were lovely and friendly. We found it great value for money. Highly recommend a pit stop at the Sandy Acres Cafe before a visit to the beach.

Weird parking set up, no toilets

Called in for coffee short walk away from hustle bustle of St ives holiday village Great coffee with a fantastic view, ending up staying for a burger and cake each, which was delicious

Food and drinks are ok. Pricey for what they are. Horrible access by car though it’s like Alcatraz. They have ruined a beautiful part of the dunes but in fairness this may not be the cafes doing but maybe the others services around here or private owners of this party of the dunes. The surrounding towans and beach is beautiful but there’s a negative vibe. Tourists should avoid due to the risk of car parking fines and there’s so much nicer places. Go up to Gwithian or Godrevy

Great friendly service with tasty cakes and coffees, we were so impressed we went back for lunch - one of the best tasting hamburgers we have had in along time.

Ideally placed on the South West coast path but outside Hayle itself, it was an ideal place to stop on my morning walk in the blustery weather. I thought the mega muffin that I bought was overpriced at £3.80 until I tasted it and realised it was beautiful - fresh and tasty. So big, I had to take away half for later. Coffee was good too.

Great cafe in the middle of the long stretch of sand. Tuna, beetroot, and horseradish brioche sandwich was amazing, as was the macaroon. Ladies were lovely.

Lovely new Italian restaurant in the square behind the train station(linking to the enterprise centre). Small but lovely ambience .And the food .. well, we have had takeaway pizza and a sit-in meal .Superb, fresh, tasting Italian fare.Service when dining in was perfect.Relaxed but feels like a special enough place for important occasions. You all must give this new Italian a go.And if you drive ,you have a car park by the restaurant so you can keep an eye on your car or if out of town walk across from the station.

After travelling from East Yorkshire staying 2hrs away from this beach as staying near Bude, we saw this was dog friendly beach.... what a diaster, parking... well as everyone knows Amtrac are day light scammers, paid my ticket, parked in a rubbish lay out car park, to find no toilets, my partner who has issues regarding this was told ' there isn't any' asked sufers at the swimming school part, told across the top to the campsite. 15 min trek to campsite across awful path, finally made it down to the beach, yes beach was nice. Thats all i have to say. Aware of our scammers parking ticket headed back up a very steep cliff. Had a bag of dog poo. No bins for dog poo. Right ok.... needed a drink 3.58pm and cafe shuts! Lady said well i can sell you a cold drink but were shut. Didn't realise at busy season of July you would shut so early, went back to car with drink and dog poo. to which took ten minutes to actually leave due to car park and others leaving, the lane is also very busy due to not letting 2 cars pass at same time....................... and guess what? 1 week later slapped with parking fine from Amtrak i had gone over 10 minutes, due to the heavey traffic. Appealed it with themselves and IAS and got thrown out. I do not recommend this beach nor the cafe or facilties, if you want a good beach for your dog, come up North!!!!!

Lovely beach Cafe. I had the chicken wrap which was one of the best that I've had anywhere else. The ice cream shop also has a good selection of flavors together with some nice smoothies and milkshakes. The beach itself is really nice and not as packed during peak times as other beaches in the area

Great location. Beware the parking, can be confusing. Drive thru the barrier without stopping at the P&D machine, then pay on the app from the car park by the cafe. Amazing beach, very safe with ok surf.

Great cafe with comfy seating, a wood burner in the winter and epic views. The staff are also very friendly and always make us feel welcome.

Here every week for the Sunday morning swim and whenever possible for the Thursday morning walk. Staff are brilliant. Always a good atmosphere. Bacon sandwiches are great and they do amazing cakes baked fresh each day.

Stopped for a coffee on return leg walking the Towans from Godrevy to Hayle and back. Good Americano and friendly staff.

Really lovely place to stop for lunch which is along the SW coast path, after what felt like an endless walk through the sand dunes this was a very welcome sight! Yunny ciabatta sandwich roll and a flapjack enjoyed with a beautiful sea view 😀

I walked past this cafe on my way to Godrevy Point and said I would stop on the way back as the smell of freshly baked cakes was too good to resist! I could also see somebody in the tiny kitchen in the back of the cafe mixing batter so I knew they were definitely making their own cakes. On my way back, wet and tired from the rain and walk, I got one of the huge blueberry muffins which were being baked when I passed first time. I don't even like blueberry muffins that much but they looked delicious and the smell was too enticing. I was not disappointed: it was absolutely delicious and packed with juicy blueberries. It was not too sweet as well, and had a lovely thick coin of lemon and lime icing on top which complemented the muffin well. The staff were lovely and friendly and I am so glad I stopped on my way back and got something! I got it as takeaway and enjoyed it back home with a homemade latte. Perfect.

Lovely little cafe, delicious snacks and hot food, little area for sitting inside but also benches outside. Fab cuppa tea and cheese roll. We even got a baby chino!

Just went in for a quick coffee. E bikes have a site posted to this cafe but don't fall for as you can't actually hire a bike here. Have to go to hayle Town centre.

Run with care and friendliness. Lots of locally sourced produce, and tasty for veggies. Daily home baked cakes! They even do a discount if you bring your own cup. Fatastic views of Hayle Bay from atop the dunes.

My best life burger remains from Oaxaca, Mexico, 2001...but this was a close second!! Beautiful location for a juicy burger.

Such a great little cafe! Got an ice cream and water for my dog (carrot,apple,banana) my dog absolutely loved it! Also got an oatmilk ice coffee which was really really good 10/10. Got Rhubard sparkling water with no added sugar. Very friendly service in general- would 100% recommend!!

Well worth a visit great coffee, hot chocolate and cake and normally a stunning view but it was raining will definitely go back on a nicer day!

Saw this place on Facebook never herd of it before so thought would find it and try out,what a great little find though we were short on time what we had was amazing and next time we will definitely be trying the food .

Nice place to get a refreshing shot of caffeine. They have both oat and soya milk for those who prefer none dairy. Great place to start or finish a beach walk.

Quite simply the best cakes in Cornwall. If a carrot cake is the gold standard to measure quality, then this wins hands down. If you are lucky to see Guineas cake, then grab it. But frankly, they are all pretty amazing, and we have tested them all!

Great Pitstop for a cuppa, a BLT and excellent Apricot Flapjack Cake Concoction. Delicious and highly recommended.

Great beach and cafe, fairly hidden away. The cafe serves good coffee and a good selection of cakes with many gluten free options.

The best burger in a very long time, if it wasn't quite so good I'd be complaining about how long it took to get served but for food this good I'll let it pass.

Food makes the service bearable!! Was greeted terribly by the older woman at the till who made it obvious she didn't say want to be there. I ordered a burger without relish and received a big sigh for the complication I caused. Very snappy about ordering as a group and overall gave off bad energy. Food was delicious but could be slightly cheaper.

I appreciate every one is using covid as an excuse for not opening but it was disappointing that the only takeaway cafe on this stretch of beach had decided to stay closed

We used their parking to go to the beach. Our parking ticket expired at 16:09. We noticed five minutes later, but the parking app didn’t allow us to extend the booking. Instead, we had to make a new booking, so there was a gap of around 10 minutes. When we came back, we had been given a £100 fine, with an “observation time” 16:11. People here just wait for your ticket to expire to slap you with a fine. We called them and it didn’t matter that we paid for another 3 hours right away out of which we only needed 2. Anyone parking here, be very exact!

Good coffee, very handy location for the south end of Gwithian beach or if you're walking along the SW coast path. Macarons and cookies are particularly tasty.

Sadly I just can't recommend this place. The staff and manager were very unhelpful to us last week. Also beware of professional parking ticket distribution. We saw 2 cars given parking tickets for no apparent reason. Maybe there was a reason im not aware of but they both had valid tickets. If I go back ill park down the road and walk up with my pack lunch.

Great veggie burger. Parking enforcement is brutal. 15mins late back and £100 ticket issued, shocking as we had paid for 2 hours and had a meal at the cafe.

This is the most amazing cafe, normal times seating is outside, but during the pandemic, the staff have gone out there way, to make sure their clientele, are safe, would say to anyone you are missing a wonderful treat, if you've never visited. Bridge and Bill 🌊🌊🌊🌊

The beach is fine (but it's a struggle to climb up - my father needed the help of two people to get back up, and there's no loo - so imagine how clean it is) but despite having paid for parking, and proved that I did, I was fined £100 because the wind blow my parking ticket over - the parking operators employed by the site, Amtrak Security are disgraceful - AVOID!
