A lovely experience solo in Blossoms in Brighton for supper. Poached eggs perfect, a fresh very delicious meal. Chef came out of kitchen to see customers which is an added personal touch. Mmmmm scrumpy, will definitely be returning and would recommend this clean, friendly.comfortable , cosy atmosphere. Service is great, professional, friendly and relaxing music in the background 👌 Thank you Blossoms, and I may have a cheeky lager before leaving as Blossoms also has a bar 🍸

Blossoms was fine for a casual dinner out. The food and drinks menus are interesting and both food and drink were decent. The decor is fun but the music choice (disco) odd. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was that the staff. Waiting staff were inattentive.

Lovely spot to have a drink and great for cocktails. Very comfortable and located in the lanes. Selection of drinks is good and the staff were very freindly.

We stumbled across this wonderful place in the Lanes by accident. We initially had drinks on the Thursday night as we already had a reservation for dinner else where. But we were so impressed with the drinks, atmosphere, the look of the food and very friendly staff we returned the next day for lunch, and we were not disappointed absolutely fabulous. So if you're looking for something unique, fabulous and a bit different. You have to come here!! Thank you to the staff Thursday evening and Friday lunch for making our experience wonderful, we could t of asked for more as part of our anniversary night away.

We turned up just after 6pm with our 11 and 13 year old children and the staff greeted us with a very warm welcome. The gentleman who served us was simply fantastic, he seated us all inside (possible until 7pm, after which they are only licensed for adults inside). We asked him a few questions about the menu and he was overflowing with interesting information. He came back and forth with lots of bottles of various non alcoholic spirits in the kids cocktails so they could smell them and see the bottles. He was just so very lovely and enthusiastic about his trade. It really made the experience a level above going for a drink. He even let us try a cocktail we hadn’t ordered, which was delicious. That one was called the emperor, which was my favourite. Really delicious with subtle flavours but sublime overall taste. At the end I went to the bar to photograph the menu and bottles in hope of recreating the experience at home, and the guy behind the bar talked me through the intricate process behind the emperor. Not sure I’ll have a hope in hell of recreating it, as it sounded like an alchemy of mixology, but at least I can try! But overall, I’d highly recommend this fab bar. Great decor (think Japanese blossom and design funked up), outstanding staff, and delicious drinks. Probably more of an adult destination, but we found it very welcoming to us as a family for a pre dinner cocktail. Thank you everyone there ☺️.

had a really nice time for my partners birthday dinner. seeing as his favourite food is Japanese cuisine we were thrilled with what was on the menu. we would have to say the bao buns were our favourite. the cocktails were also lovely, but strong (not a bad thing). Sarah (not sure if we’re spelling that correctly) was our host and she was attentive and charismatic. it was somewhat quiet but we preferred that really, it felt personal and awe-inspiring. well done :)

Blossoms was recommended to me whilst on holiday in Cornwall by a couple that I was chatting to on a walk. When I found out they were from Brighton and I said I was going the following week, they told me their son worked in Blossoms and recommended it to me. As a lover of cocktails and having visited Japan last year my friend and I paid a visit. We had a couple of cocktails each, and had really lovely service from people who described the different cocktails to help us choose as they are not your familiar cocktails. We had a lovely time there, and I did randomly mention the story of the recommendation, despite not knowing their name or the name of their son. Anyway it turned out he was working whilst we were there, told his mum, and she had bought one of our rounds of drinks! A great story and experience to remember. Definitely worth a visit! Thanks for the drink Lady’s mum! 😍

Really not great. Awful music blared out too loud, average overpriced Japanese food & cocktails, weird service.....couldn't wait to leave to be honest. Told the waiter one dish was terrible, he just reacted instantly with 'I'll take that off the bill'. Zero hesitation, as if they got that all the time. It just seemed to be a venue for tourists/hen nights, not a place to go for great food.

I was in town early and wanted a quick whilst waiting for my dinner reservation elsewhere. Front of house were really helpful and friendly managing to fit me in to an already packed bar. Blossoms is a small but buzzy, busy and popular place. Staff were curtious to everyone, the food looked good and my cocktail was delicious. A thumbs up from me and would definitely go back to try the food.

Such a lovely evening. Enthusiastic staff, couldn’t do more for us, felt very well looked after. We were sat in the ‘bird cage’ and it was a lovely pretty table with the perfect surroundings. Cocktails were fantastic and the food tasty and perfectly cooked.

If I’m quite honest there’s a few things that needed highlighting and felt the service we received was sub-par and the money we paid was unacceptable for the food and service we received. Firstly we had a table reservation for 18:45 on a high table. We waited 10/15 minutes to be seated initially. Either our table had been over-booked or service was already over running at this stage but we were sat on the bar to eat - elbowing the people next to us, and clearly not the actual high table we had booked, but we accepted that and could see it was already busy. When seated we were offered drinks relatively quickly which were made and arrived promptly. We then waited 45 minutes for our food order to be taken. One hour into the meal and we had only just ordered our food. The food arrived after a further 45 minutes of waiting and being chased by us, through the bar staff. As expected, it arrived at different times, which is the nature of the style of food, but it either arrived cold or luke-warm. The chips had been clearly sat there for a long time as were stone cold and chewy. The food however had great taste but this did not surcome the disappointment received from the stone cold food. We patiently waited for the rest of the food to come out - it in which didn’t arrive. We were missing three items off the set menu - a second portion of chips, the vegetables from the meat menu, and the gyozas from the vegetarian menu. When our table was finally cleared (by the bar staff), we highlighted that we were missing the items, and told they would pass this on to the waiting staff to who would come and speak to us, in which no one did. We waited to be offered our dessert, with waiting team in no position to be called over as they were running around the place. We then after being in your restaurant for 2.5 hours, having half the set menu and no dessert offered, requested the bill from the bar staff (as yet again they were the only people available to speak to). The barman kindly gave us two cocktails that we had ordered, on the house, but on reflection this was not enough to suffice the service we received. We disputed the service charge but even after those deductions I felt the money spend was by no means worthy of the food and service we received. We spent £100 in the restaurant and left feeling extremely disappointed and somewhat stressed watching the staff run around like headless chickens. In addition to all of this, one of the waitresses crying at the sheer stress, the head chef coming out to front of house swearing, and an additional waitress who was clearly not regular staff attempting to service us but had no knowledge on what was going on. The staff we came in to contact with were pleasant but it was totally uncomfortable to watch them in such stress with a complete mismanaged service. I also appreciate that the service we received what not an isolated event. There were customers coming in, waiting 20+ minutes to be seated on a table who still had customers eating their main course, to have to walk out as there was no chance they would have been able to be served. On a lighter note, your barman was extremely friendly, understood our frustrations and tried to do what he could - we are grateful for that only. Bigger salt in the wound we emailed the complaint and got no response!

Don’t bother turning up if you’re going to be late. They will take your name, leave you to wait more than 5 mins by the door, just for the host to gleefully tell you that they gave your table away. Note that we called 3 times to inform them we would be late and we left a voicemail. There was nothing apologetic in his manner or in his words, just glee. I wouldn’t have minded half as much if he’d have seemed remotely apologetic but it was so appalling that I had to write a review (my first) to inform others of what happens if you are late, which depending on your mentality/circumstances, could ruin your night. For us it was a lucky escape. We turned around, walked the few meters to Riddle & Finns, where we were greeted like royalty and were seated within 2 mins of leaving Blossom and had the most wonderful evening. It doesn’t get much better than Riddle & Finns for fish, seafood and sushi/sashimi. We have been going for the past 13 years and they have never let us down in any department. The blossom isn’t even that nice at Blossom. Kusaki in Brighton has beautiful blossom, a gorgeous traditional Japanese aesthetic and much better customer service.

Popped in for some tapas style Japanese food. Our daughter had been here before. It was very tasty food and very good service. Apparently they do excellent cocktails as well, too early in the day for us to have tried although I did have a Japanese beer.

We visited Blossoms for dinner, after discovering it in the summer. We chose it as a great place to celebrate Christmas with friends. The restaurant is beautifully styled and inticing. We were sat in a booth by the window, on plush velvet seats. All of the staff who served us were helpful and friendly. We ordered a large selection of small plates - pretty much every dish on the menu! The food was explained as it arrived, and tasted so good. The perfect food for friends to share. The staff offered great advice on the cocktails, according to our tastes. They were delicious - special mention for ‘suit and tie’!

Great venue, great service, delicious food and the best cocktails in Brighton! Spent a few hours here with friends and absolutely loved it. We decided to make our way through the cocktail menu and every single one was outstanding although I think our favourite was the old fashioned. Really good food menu, loved the sushi in particular but there were lots of options. One of our party is gluten free and she found plenty to eat. All in all, an amazing place. If your looking for somewhere a bit different, you won’t be disappointed.

Tracked this bar down as wanted a cocktail before eating. However when we arrived at about 5.30 / 6 the venue was completely empty of customers. We were shown in but we were not impressed with the barman who we thought was not that friendly and quite surly when we questioned the front door being left open near to where he told us to sit. Embarrassing as it was, we decided to leave 😳🫣

Sadly this place did not meet our expectations. The food is extremely overly salty, tiny portions and massively overpriced. The food didn’t seem fresh at all, some of it was over cooked and some of it was undercooked, we ended up sending some of it back! We ordered so many dishes but due to the tiny portions we left feeling hungry still and frustrated at the amount we’d just paid for an extremely disappointing experience. There are plenty of much better Asian restaurants in Brighton sadly, I doubt this one will last!

Took my wife and 10 year old with my 27 year old for his birthday. We were all impressed by the decor, cocktail's and delicious food. This was backed up by great service from Sammy and his team. Would highly recommend for just drinks or dinner too. We are all looking forward to visiting again.

The bar is beautiful and stylish, makes for some great photos. We were passing, looking for a couple of drinks and the decor caught our eye. Unfortunately a number of the beers were unavailable, as were some of the cocktails. We had to wait quite a while for the cocktails which would be fine if we had enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the alcohol overpowered any other flavour and they were not enjoyable. It's such a shame as the bar is beautiful and has real potential. In order to improve, bar staff should undergo cocktail training to perfect the cocktails on the menu. The cocktails being served do not warrant the price tag.

Moshimo was lovely. We went as a huge 20-person group, and the staff accommodated that amazingly. I tried the sea-bass ceviche, which was only okay to me, it kind of tasted like cockles, like to the T, which wasn't awful and it was definitely fresh but not my cup of tea. However, a friend and I shared a £40 sushi boat, which more than made up for the mediocre ceviche. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and looked beautiful. I was super full after sharing the sushi boat and the starter. It was an expensive meal if you're on a budget, definitely a once a month thing for me, but it was really enjoyable!

Amazing food, great service, fantastic drinks! There’s nothing to fault - best sushi in town, hands down!
