Ideally placed in a busy part of Cowes, this longstanding ice cream parlour delivers an absolutely fantastic range of ice creams. I will be back!

Really nice service!!!! Delicious creamy ice cream with lots of different flavours and cones. I didn’t try these but they also had smoothies and coffee ☕️. Very bright and kid friendly I would differently recommend you going there! We got the sea salted caramel ice cream and the toffee pieces (I think that’s what it’s called) ice cream

A wonderful little place - looks the part, tastes the part! Perfect for us as they also sell sweets, so we grabbed a pick ‘n mix for one of our chicken who doesn’t like ice cream (I know, I know!). I chose a scoop of the salted caramel and the white chocolate and raspberry after asking for advice and I wasn’t disappointed! Both were utterly delicious 😋

Popped in for an impromptu round of ice creams. Not massive selection but I actually like that. Each flavour looked well made - I had mint choc chip and cookie flavour. My partner had vanilla and choc fudge brownie both with waffle cones obv! Good ice cream and I didn’t mind paying £3.60 for a two scoop waffle cone.

Visited here as it had good reviews, justified in my opinion. Bright, clean and modern. Very nice indeed. Tables to sit at if you want or a short walk to the sea front benches to watch the boats go by. There was a selection of probably 8 flavours from which to choose. Tubs or 3 types of waffle cone to select. Interestingly the tubs werent the usual paper ones that collapse after moments..and hopefully after you finish, but plastic ones. In some ways wasteful but actually we brought ours home and will re-use them :) Ice cream is, I think Minghellas, made on IOW and a very well known and respected brand. Good flavours across the range that we had (2 different scoops in each tub) not the cheapest but probably good value over all. Parking on the road down by the front or within easy walking distance of the centre of West Cowes. Chocolate flavour was of course very good but so was the strawberry crush and the honeycomb.

Great service, good array of ice cream flavours, friendly staff in a great location. Branding is sharp and modern, really nice fudge counter with some twists away from the vanilla traditionalists! Not too badly priced a family of 6 normally costs around 14 quid for a round of cornets and a few jelly beans. Thanks for the jelly bean boozled it's a pity I ate two puke flavoured beans.

Enjoyed a Fudge and coffee one day and the next day had a yummy ice cream. This is like an old fashioned ice cream parlour that you used to find in seaside towns before they got commercialised and all you can get is a soggy solero. Pretty decor with a 1950s style feel - I had a vanilla and coconut ice cream in a chic covered cone completely yum.

Well scutting in to the little ice cream shop; we were all excited to have a treat and sit and watch the sea. Unfortunately the very miserable, stoney faced young lady who appeared most frustrated that we had taken her away from her laptop put paid to that! my hubby and i ordered a cream tea for 2. We were given two plates with a sachet of jam on each. There was one little pre packaged tub of clotted cream between the 2 of us. I asked if we could have another tub of cream as we had 2 scones. I was told rather bluntly, well no because then she will need to defrost another (yummy). I asked if i could please have some more milk in my tea (literally it was black) and she did not say a word, took it off me, poured it to the rim with milk and handed it back to me. We went outside to find a bench, and upon trying to cut through the scones, its was quite clear than due to the rubbery middle and crispy edges, they had been defrosted in the microwave for far too long. Really wish we had spent out money elsewhere. Very disappointing.

When I mentioned I was visiting the Isle of Wight, I was told that I MUST have a Minghella's Ice Cream! Now, I've never been a family size tub of ice cream and a spoon kind of person, while sat in my jim jams thinking what my life could have been. In fact, I can't get excited about ice cream full stop, there are so many more interesting ways of piling on the pounds, but this I enjoyed!I will be back, you lovely Bliss people, and I will be trying your other flavours... mark my words! Your Rum & Raisin and Oriental Salted Caramel & Ginger were delish! Nom Nom!In fact their delicious display of fudge (along with tasters) tricked me into purchasing 4 flavours which were tremendous! Darn you!!! How is a person to stay size zero? The young lady who assisted us was lovely - thank you!

We had visited Bliss on only one occasion previously, when we were with a friend who was desperate for ice cream. Having recently returned to the Isle of Wight for the weekend we decided that we really must try some of their fudge. Unfortunately we were unlucky as it was a Sunday morning, we were about to leave for home, and the shop had not yet opened. However my first "chore" on arriving home was to place an order online. The order was delivered promptly, extremely well packed, and I can honestly say that this is the BEST fudge I have ever tasted. It would be hard to say which is my favourite as they are all equally brilliant, though I have developed something of an addiction to the Lemon Meringue, the Sea Salted, the Classic . . . . I could go on! There are still a range of flavours left for me to try and I intend to sample each and every one of them before too long as they are completely irrestible. The service, too, is magnificent and I simply cannot fault them - though I do wish they would move to Portsmouth so that I could indulge my cravings on a daily basis. Thanks, Rachel, for making life so sweet!!!

We'd been looking for places that sell Minghella ice cream since trying it on Brading Down & this sounded perfect. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. We tried several flavours & also bought 2 tubs to take back to our holiday accommodation. Two of the flavours we tried tasted like they'd been defrosted & refrozen & one of the tubs tasted off & looked like it had been relabelled. The staff weren't that friendly either & I wasn't happy about having my payment card taken off me so they could use the card to make payment using contactless technology. Altogether a very disappointing trip.

We passed by this shop on a recent visit to Cowes and my 5 year old son was instantly drawn to its bright colours and welcoming fascia. The theme continues inside and it is a lovely little shop with pleasant staff and delicious ice cream. I also had a latte which was nice - I would go back again and have an ice cream myself this time - rather than just a lick of my son's.

Don't get me wrong, the ice cream on sale here, which is Minghella's, from the Isle of Wight, is excellent, but calling this an ice cream parlour is a bit of a stretch of the imagination as there is one single table and some stools. If you think this is an ice cream parlour you can't have been to Italy...I think other reviewers are forgetting that these reviews are not just a review of the product offered but of the venue as well. So sure, ice cream, very nice, 4 out of 5, but I have had better in Italy (this ice cream seems to be a cross between British/US style ice cream and Italian ice cream), and the 'parlour' is actually a VERY small shop with extremely limited seating. Prices are also very high considering the venue.

I am a regular visitor to Bliss in Cowes and Sandown with my 2 granddaughters and the only word to describe the whole experience is "wow". The Minghella ice cream flavours are amazing and the teddy shaped toddler cones for just £1 are excellent value. The range of Jelly Belly beans and real liquorice are probably the best on the island. Today I had a mocha coffee and it was so chocolatey and came with a chocolate flake too. It does exactly what it says on the packet pure "BLISS"

I live in Cowes but have only really just started discovering this wonderful place! In it's comfy, cosy atmosphere there is a veritable smorgasbord of treats - from Jelly Belly jelly beans to Belgian hot chocolate, Island-made liquorice, and a wide range of different flavoured Minghella ice creams (the most varied I've ever seen, and you can choose to purchase a 'Take Home Tub' if you particularly liked the ice cream you've just eaten!)There are also delicious fruit smoothies and some of the best coffee I've ever tasted!I honestly cannot recommend Bliss enough, if you haven't been there yet then please do - you don't know what you're missing!

Although I've left the Island and live on the mainland, I visit the Isle of Wight 3 or 4 times a year to visit family and friends. A visit to a branch (they have another shop in Sandown) of Bliss is now one of my regular stops whenever I'm on the Island. The ice cream is wonderful, but I drop in even if it's cold and wet outside, as their coffees are among the best I've ever had... absolutely love their Mocha!! There's also sweets for the kids, so even if it's not ice cream weather, the kids won't miss out on a treat, and there's a space to sit, so you don't have to rush outside if the weather's nasty. Always a good welcome from the lovely young couple that own the place too, a lovely place to relax for a few minutes with a coffee and / or an ice cream!

Stopped for a cream tea which the wife enjoyed. Usual 2 scones provided with jam and clotted cream and a good pot of tea. They normally do Gluten Free cream tea but due to high demand had sold out of GF scones. They were however able to supply GF cheese scones so I had a savoury version of cream tea, 2 GF cheese scones, a tomato chutney and a cream cheese. Was very nice and would recommend.

A very peaceful place to stay, in the centre of Newport, conveniently located, close to the bus station and to restaurants. Charming interiors, with a lot of character. Spacious, comfortable and clean room. Breakfast is served, and freshly prepared after the order is made. Hostess is friendly and Staff polite. We will definitely stay there again!

Stopped here for tea and we're so glad we did. Loose leaf tea in a china tea pot (not one of those awful stainless steel ones that dribbles all over the table), a tea strainer, china cups and saucers and a china milk jug - this is how tea should be served. The Bakewell slice and chocolate cake were both delicious and the portions very generous. The friendly welcome and engaging staff added to the enjoyment. Looking forward to the next visit.
