After driving around the Yorkshire Dale's, we were in need of a drink and snack. We came across this lovely little tearoom and we weren't disappointed, quirky and quaint I would say, very friendly, great value for money too.

We called off on our way home from a walking week end camping, found the cafe easy has access car parking and very friendly welcome 🤗 had a couple of lovely mugs of tea outside in the sun with toasted tea cake. I also bought some home grown rhubarb which I’ve just made into a crumble. Perfect stop off fab views and very reasonable. Thank you will definitely call again

What a sweet, quirky little place - like stepping back into the 30s or 40s, but that didn't detract from anything. It just works. The lady (?owner) was very friendly, and service was speedy. The lovely mug of tea and great bacon&egg baps were soo good - just what we needed after our ascent of Whernside. The prices are very reasonable (probably an understatement). We didn't stop for cake, but would happily return to try those. In compensation, we bought some homemade cookies - they didn't last long back at our caravan, with the next cuppa. The reason for the 4 stars is that the room temperature was rather cold - I'd have preferred a more cosy level of heat.

We just stopped on a driving tour after needing a cup of tea, and what a lovely find. So very friendly with inexpensive, good, traditional food and drinks (the scones were lovely) - all with views of Pen-y-Ghent from the tables outside.

We called in here after walking Pen y Ghent. We received a really warm welcome and a lovely natter with the owners. We ordered 2 mug of teas and 2 scones with jam and cream. It’s the best we’ve had whilst visiting Yorkshire. Would highly recommend as cakes and drinks reasonably priced and yummy too 😋 👍

... On a very, very wet day. We had lunch here with our 3 year old and were made to feel very welcome. We had cheese on toast, eggs bacon and beans, some cake each. All home made, all very tasty and incredibly reasonably priced at £14 all in for a lunch for a family of 3! These are strange times and it was our first eating out experience since lockdown. I felt safe and welcome.

Just outside Horton on the Hawes Road, we pulled in for tea, sandwiches and cakes. A fortunate choice. We sat outside in the sun watching walkers and cyclists doing what we had already done and received prompt service of freshly made sandwiches, followed by home made cake and then took away some home made biscuits (check out the other items on display inside, jam and fudges etc). This is a how tea rooms should be.

Great tea room, quaint and old fashioned, like being at your favourite auntie's house! Lovely couple who run it, lovely home made cakes and jams/biscuits to buy. And right next door to a really cosy self catering cottage run by the couple which I recommend for walkers and families alike. We had a really good stay there with wonderful uninterrupted views of Pen-y-Ghent.

This is an olde worlde tearoom (like walking into my grans house but with lots of extra tables and chairs), with proper homemade (unfrilly) cakes. The prices are amazingly cheap. We paid £1.40 each for a pot of tea and £1.60 each for a fresh scone with butter, jam and whipped cream. We were the only visitors at the time so had a chat with the lady who owns it. We told her that her prices were too cheap lol! And then we bought a bag of homemade fudge and a bag with 6 large homemade fruit Shrewsbury's. Total cost for our visit £8.40. We will return!

We were cold and really hungry after coming down off Pen y Ghent and when we stumbled across this place we decided to stop for a quick snack. The car park (and toilets) are on one side of the road and the tea room on the other. We weren't sure what to expect both because it was a bit like walking into your nan's house, with homey bits everywhere and a little crowded with tables and because the prices were so reasonable -- 8£ total for 3 scones with jam and cream, 2 coffees, and a hot chocolate, Fortunately it turned out to be like walking into your nan's house if your nan is a really good old fashioned baker. The scones were light and fluffy, and came sandwiched with plenty of jam and cream(whipped instead of clotted though).. they were delicious. We didn't try cakes, but for £1.50, on the way out we got a bag of ginger cookies that were lovely, chewy, thick, and full of that ginger flavour. There were other light snacks on the menu -- sandwiches, eggs and toast and similar.. and all really, really decently priced.

Ok its not fancy , nor does it have a wide range of choice but what you get is very nice, cheap and served with friendship. Cup of tea, ham sandwich and a scone with jam and REAL whipped cream ! (if you think its canned your sadly wrong) £4.70 bargain.Only downside was room was a tad cold but then again i did have shorts on in October, a nice fire would make it 5 star.

My husband John & i stayed in the holiday cottage which is attached to the tea room . It dates back to the 1700's with original beams in two of the bedrooms . This cottage is cosy , comfortable and a totally relaxing place to stay , ideal for those of you who are searching for a bit of peace and quiet but if you are looking for a bit of adventure then why not climb Pen - Y - Ghent which you can clearly see through the dining room and also from one of the three bedrooms . The cottage has a well equipped kitchen if you wish to cook but we also enjoyed a light lunch next door in the tea room , plus they sell homemade jams , biscuits and delicious fudge . John and i also took a ten minute stroll down into the village to The crown pub , they serve fabulous meals , we don't usually eat a three meal course but we did in there because the food was so good . It was a marvellous break and John said , " Lets come again sometime in the summer ." I will look forward to that .

We stayed two nights at Blind Beck Cottage, as a base for the Three Peaks in a day challenge (which we completed in 10h 31m, not bad for a first attempt!). We could not have had a better place to stay if we had searched for ever. The location was perfect, the welcome was warm and kind. This is a homely cottage owned by lovely genuine Yorkshire people who are generous enough to welcome visitors into their lives. It is a refreshing change to stay somewhere which reflects the love and care that its owners feel for the place. We recommend it to anyone who needs a warm and cosy base to stay in a beautiful part of the world.

My brothers and I stayed at this remarkable cottage whilst walking the 3 peaks. We did it over 2 days. The cottage is lovely, kind of old fashioned but in a good way. It has everything you need and was very comfortable. Best of all are Heather and Jim who were incredibly helpful with their local knowledge of the route and Jim even gave us a lift to reclaim our car. (We called him Laughing Jim as he was so happy all the time). The cottage is an 8 min walk to the Crown which was also very good (very good meals and ale). Beautiful cottage amongst beautiful countryside run by lovely, lovely people.

This was like entering someone's not-very-cosy front room: mostly bare tabletops (except for the crumbs) and one small electric heater. We ordered a scone with jam & cream, a tea cake, plus tea. The scone came ready filled with jam and aerosol 'cream', and the flaccid-looking tea cake arrived with a scraping of margarine - it was so unappetising that we ate only a quarter of it.Prices are low, but we would very willingly have paid more for decent ingredients. A shame as the tearoom is in the most wonderful part of the world (although don't expect to see much of it through the two small windows, one of which looks out onto the road). Afraid we won't be returning.

We came off Pen-y-ghent after a long day's walk expecting to find the Pen-y-ghent cafe open - to our surprise it was closed at 4pm on a Thursday and so was the pub so we resigned ourselves to a long wait at the station. A fellow-passenger told us about Blindbeck Tea Room which we were unaware of, and we were delighted to discover it was open, friendly and served a good range of delicious snacks as well as the long-hoped-for cup-of-tea!They had no problem with us coming in with our big rucksacks and walking boots. The tea room also now has a toilet for customers. Everything you want when you're waiting for the train - you wouldn't see it when walking through the village but it's just 5 minutes past the station.

A gorgeous, cosy and friendly tea room in sight of Pen-y-Ghent. I've visited many times and always had a genuinely warm welcome. The food is always lovely (and mostly home cooked) and the lady who runs it is an absolute delight. There's ample parking across the road (about ten or fifteen metres from the front door). My first visit here was when I was a little girl and a very, VERY fussy eater, and the lady who runs it was really kind and went out of her way to find something I'd enjoy. I'd definitely recommend the cream teas, and the holiday cottage attached (owned by the same lady, and I think it sleeps four) is stunning, and the dining room there has the best view of Pen-y-Ghent you'll ever see!

On arrival the pub does not inspire confidence in the quality of food - but it was really very good. I was dubious about the sizes of sunday roasts after reading a previous review - and to be fair, the plates do not arrive loaded with masses of veg or mash. However, we all left feeling satisfied and it really felt like well prepared, high quality food. The steak and ale pie, and steak and ale yorkie had the same filling, which was superb.

Fantastic place. Roll with bacon and sausage was lovely. Really good quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I've been coming here on caving trips for 25 years and always either start or finish the day in Inglesport. Love it. The only thing I'd say... bring back the pints of tea!!! And please don't ever stop doing the tiffin, it is the best on the planet.

Stayed at The Lister Arms for a couple of nights mid week. We stayed in the Lister Barn which is a 2 minute walk from the actual pub. Cosy and warm, tastefully decorated with lovely toiletries - a real gem of a place. The main pub is really cosy, with a gorgeous fire burning all day and evening. Breakfast and dinner here were both really good with large portions. Lots of dogs inside the bar area too which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and staff did well to serve such a large group in good time. I had the small roast beef, it was delicious and definitely enough for me! The Yorkshire pudding was excellent. I had the treacle sponge and custard afterwards- yummy!! Highly recommend visiting if you’re ever in the area.
