Have visited many times during visits to Newport. Home cooked meals and cakes are well worth a visit. Lamb cawl a favourite! Lovely staff. Recommended!

My wife & I stayed at Blas at Fronlas for 2 nights in March 2020. We had a delightful bedroom overlooking Market Street with an en-suite shower room. The room was very well appointed and we had use of a separate sitting room with tea & coffee making facilities. It was very, very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. The owner, Lindsey, was an absolute treasure. So were her lovely team in the restaurant; nothing was too much trouble and everyone was very attentive to all of our needs. The B&B package was incredibly good value for money and the food was absolutely delicious. If you are visiting this beautiful part of Wales and need a truly special place to stay, don't hesitate to book your stay at Blas at Fronlas. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

The Cambrian Inn

19/01/2020: We love this restaurant. It's spotlessly clean, staff are lovely and the food is fantastic and at a reasonable price. Looking forward to our next visit
08/01/2020: An amazingly busy restaurant in a remote and tiny West Wales village. The menu, mid-range British with some sensible pasta additions, is very comprehensive. On two visits during our holiday we enjoyed good steaks and fish at reasonable prices, also the famous and generous burgers. We also enjoyed bitter from Coles, a family brewery in Carmarthen, founded in 1999, and highly recommended as well. This restaurant serves consistently crisp, hand-made chips which is a quality recommendation on its own and is well worth a visit – best to book.

20/02/2020: what a joy - 1 minute to three on a VERY windy and wet Sunday (Storm Chiara was doing her best to blow us over) and the response to "when do you stop serving lunch?" could have been so very different but a lovely, welcoming: "3 o'clock, but come on in, bring the dog as well" was the perfect response. we did and had a great traditional Sunday lunch - just excellent. you know that when the chef sits down to lunch at the next table then the food's good! left with a smile on our face. a great find and one to remember and recommend.
08/01/2020: Had Sunday lunch there , plenty of food and really tasty. Staff were pleasant .will be going back.also the locals are really friendly, real old fashioned country pub. Well worth a visit.
