Lovely welcome from the young lady behind the bar, pub was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas too. Three beers on hand pulls, so a bit spoiled for choice. An excellent late afternoon session!

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Good choice of drinks with some decent offers on bottles/shots. Thanks again, and be back soon. Looking forward to the summer in the garden 😀

Lovely village pub. Popped in for a quick drink whilst visiting a friend. Danii the landlady is super friendly. Big beer garden to the rear of the pub. Definitely pop in again when I'm in the area 🙂

Perfect rural setting with lots of free space especially during summer time for the children and dogs to enjoy, beer is top notch, service is always on point with extremely friendly staff, locals who regularly drink become friends, just an all round great pub, will visit with our family again within a heartbeat. Welldone to Landlady and all her team ❤️

They no longer serve food. Drink only.no wonder no one was in ,as we left car another car with 4 people drove in,put the window down and asked us if they served good when we said no they drove off.more lost customers

Simply put, this is the one of the most dreadful pubs going. The blonde bar woman seemed more interested in texting on her phone than actually serving the paying customers, looked generally disinterested. The place absolutely stunk. The Carling was as flat as a popped balloon - and that's a generous comparison! The staff here are generally rude and they do not deserve any custom. To top it all off, there was even a RAT TRAP in the males toilet. To then see they serve food was then even more alarming. We had, had enough!

Having met up with friends, we decided pop in for a couple of drinks. The pub is warm, inviting and community driven. The staff are courteous and involved talking with the patrons of the pub.

Arrive looking for some cozy pub grub on our way to stoke. Ordered out food but the card machine was playing up and it took us 10 mins to actually pay for anything. Waited 45 minutes for food and what we got was dull to inedible. Friends chicken burger was soaking wet and didn't taste like chicken, pretty sure the chicken goujons were birdseye. Only thing I ended up eating were the chips. The staff were all dismissive and the atmosphere was terrible. Would advise my anyone against going here, even my worst enemy.

This is a great looking pub on the inside...had a refurb a few months ago. The outside area is large and is great for the kids to play. Car park to the side of the pub too! Cheap drinks and great service!

All looked ok from the outside of this pub, but was very disappointed when entering and struggled to locate the dining area for the pub. We found it to be 4 tables next to the door to the toilets!! A nice young lady took our order and advised us there was no scampi on which reduced our choice down even further from an already sparse menu. We ordered Hand battererd cod and homemade chips with peas sounded very nice until its arrival. We were presented with fish from a box not hand battered at all and chips that had never seen the fryer. On bringing this to the attention of the Landlord/chef he admitted it was fish from a box because his fish delivery was off!! I would have been nice to be pre-warned of this and our choice would have been different. Very annoying indeed to go to an establishment that advertises home cooked food but produces mediocre pub grub. They have to decide what that want to be cheap and cheerful or home cooked locally sourced food. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Ocho de nosotros (4 parejas) en el pueblo y caminamos hasta los brazos de herreros para cenar una noche. Pasamos a tomarnos una copa, la semana anterior y decidimos volver para una comida en el pub acogedor pueblo. Nos saludaron calurosamente y muy bien cuidada, el menú tenía mucha variedad sin ser abrumadora y los 8 de nosotros nos dejaron tener a 'Opciones' porque estrecha tanto del menú me atrajo. La comida estaba muy bien preparado, caliente y el servicio era rápido, pero al mismo tiempo era evidente que todo estaba fresco, pasamos una velada encantadora y la izquierda repleta, feliz y vitoreado por nuestra visita, y no, no era la cantidad de alcohol que alentaba era todo sobre el ambiente y buena comida.

Llegamos con nieto y un perro en día pensioners_nus juege al bingo de almuerzo. Pub ayuda comunidad local con bingo semanal para gente mayor. Pese a un montón de gente que fueron muy amables y nos encontró una mesa sin ningún problema. La comida era muy buena relación calidad-precio y muy agradable, pero atento hizo que este pub.

Mientras se aloje cerca con la familia, nos aventuramos en este pub para ser recibidos por señaló que era inmediatamente acogedor, hablamos sobre sus grandes planes para hacer que el pub en un centro vibrante y él es sin duda el hombre para que esto suceda. Recomendaría visitar este lugar como drew y su familia le garantizarán una estancia estupenda! Definitivamente volveremos!

Llamado para el almuerzo mientras camina en el Staffordshire camino en húmedo y blustery día. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos, nos pareció preciosa agua caliente en los baños, un esencial para cualquier comiendo pedirte lugar. Aunque una serie de artículos que faltaban desde el menú que tenía una buena relación calidad-precio y comida agradable seguido de una agradable taza de café.

Fui con un grupo de 8 amigos y un bebé, que estaban empapados por la lluvia, la gente en el bar nos dio toda una muy cálida bienvenida y el personal muy amablemente nos ofreció poner la ropa del bebé a través de una secadora de ropa, e incluso se calentaba su comida en su horno de microondas.Todos tuvimos la casa más fantástica comida cocinada, estaba delicioso y muy buena relación calidad-precio.No me puedo quejar los Herreros armas, personal o 'gente muy simpática'.

Having been to this place before i was pleasantly surprised there was a warm welcome from the minute we walked in . The new owners were very friendly and showed us to our table they have made the good decision to move the dinning tables near to the kitchen . This means no walking past a bar full of people with food.I would definitely recommend the Blacksmiths arms the food was of very good quality and nicely presented complements to the chief. we will be regulars .

Visited with hubby, brother and cousin for our monthly meal out, we like to go to different places and this has got to be amongst one of the best meals we have had. I think the service was the best, food was served quickly, two had steak, one had the pie and I had the bbq chicken which I have to say was so succulent, makes my mouth water just thinking about it, proper chips as well, we all enjoyed our meals very much. We can also recommend the caramel apple pie, very yummy. Extremely good value for money. Shame they don't have a bigger room as there wasn't a lot of room between tables but that wouldn't put us off visiting again in the future.

Visited for an afternoon meal, was very impressed with the warm welcome and the atmosphere was really nice.The food was really lovely, reasonably priced and everything was home cooked. We choose steak and it was delicious. 5 star rating on food and hygiene and you can definitely tell, a lovely clean village pub.

i was passing this public house on our way home & decided to stop for a roast dinner with my family, turned out to be a wonderful decision. Excellent food & portions which we could tell was all freshly cooked. A lovely little place which we highly recommend.

Been three times for food.Excellent quality, great value and all homemade. Great friendly service. Establishment needs a little updating refurbishment wise but that will come with time.

Service was excellent, made to feel most welcome. We ordered a meal, Gammon and steak with all the trimmings, both were excellent.The chef came out and made sure all was ok. It was nice to have proper chips, not this frozen rubbish you find in most pub restaurants. All considered, a very pleasant evening.

we went for dinner to the blacksmiths arms for dinner. we received a warm welcome good beer and excellent food. menu may be limited however the food was superb especially home made pie and the onion rings. would recommend for a drink and also as a destination for food.

I went with some young friends and their two children.. Because one is 3, deaf and can be loud because of his disability, it was made clear we weren't welcome..

we arrived our table was pre booked we sat down and were ignored by the waiting on staff (male). we asked to order at the bar and we were still waiting later we asked the waiter who had been sitting down in the bar talking. the meal was also disappointing the steak was tough and sinewy. spoilt our night out .

We visited kingsley with friends and the local butcher actually recommended this pub to us . We had a snack at dinnertime . The portions were huge and the food was gorgeous . We spent quite a few hours in here and can honestly say you will not be disappointed if you decide to visit . The bar staff were courteous and the owners were very pleasant and helpful . A lovely country pub with a cosy atmosphere . We will definately be back

Visited Kingsley for a long weekend and was lucky enough to find the blacksmiths arms on the first night, great food and atmosphere. We didn't want to venture out on the Sunday so gave them a call to see if they would do 7 Take out lunches !! They readily agreed so we popped to fetch them and the landlord bought me a couple of birthday drinks during our short wait They even asked If we needed any ice, great hosts, my only regret is it isn't our local. P.s the landlady even gave us discount on our take out ! and if asked im sure they would have delivered it : )

Fabulous food made very welcome fab service would defo go again I have been passing on to friends and family what a lovely friendly pub and that the food is excellent xxx can't wait to go again x

I regularly visit the Blacksmiths when I'm in area for a meal. The hosts, Dave & Anita are always very accommodating and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The menu is fairly extensive without being over complicated. I tend to have the 16oz gammon which is sourced from a local butcher and is cooked to perfection. It's excellent home cooked pub grub which is very hearty. I never leave feeling like I haven't had enough. Great for families or solo diners alike. Thoroughly recommended.

Found this beautiful country pub as we were in the area on the way back from Alton Towers..Lovely country pub with very nice owners who made us very welcome..The food was very good and good value with excellent steaks and a menu for pensioners..We also looked at the Sunday lunch menu and will return to try it out as it looked very good value..
