Pie very hot and tasty.. cakes looked tempting..

Service is abysmal, ignored in the queue because the staff are too busy chatting to pay attention. Not the first time this has happened either. Food is ok but not exactly cheap. Would be fine if not for service. Decide how much the extra wait is worth to you I guess.

Very nice pies wonderful but the price is a bit to much.

I'll be glad soon when I don't work in St Helens as I spend all my wages in this shop 🤣. When I travel around the world I actually miss this shop 😄 THE best pies in the world. Don't care what anyone says. Staff are all lovely too 😊.

Always great place for pies, cakes and sandwiches. The best in town

The pies are the best around. However, what I don't like, is they overcharge me nearly every week. Same order, but sometimes its up to £1 dearer. They're too busy yakking to each other and not concentrating. I only get 4 items, how hard can it be to add it up? They still get it wrong when they use a calculator. I was overcharged by around £3 once, and I had to pull them up. I was made to feel I was the one in the wrong, which I wasn't. The young girl who did it didn't even apologise. I don't like that. It's just ripping people off. Plus, lately, I've found if you go around 11 am, the pies seem warmed up from the day before. Sometimes burned and very dry.

Best pie shop in St Helens by far. Can't beat them.

There's a good reason this place has queues (despite covid) out the door. Everything they produce is fantastic quality. Anything else they sell that isn't produced in house is locally sourced and is of similar quality. There is a continuous supply of freshly baked pies. All the sandwiches they do are made to order with very fresh ingredients. All the bakery products are produced from scratch in the bakery that day, so once it's gone it's gone. The counter staff are as quick as they can be. Don't expect faddy fillings and expensive coffee, do expect good food, good service and good prices. The scones are incredible.

The best pies in town! Lovely cakes and pies as well. (I convince myself that it's all low calorie and low fat!!)

Well Worth a trip. Best pie shop in the world I think. I travel from Widnes every couple of months but I'd travel from anywhere for a BLACKBURNS. Buy a few and freeze for later. Keep up the good work, staff are soooooo friendly too, nothing is too much trouble 😀

Only been twice and they are very nice pies will be going again to try out the cakes soon

Well well well.... where the hell do I begin?! First off all I turn up to hear the sound of a teenage boy screaming his lungs out in the back of the bakery. I guess he got burnt i'm not to sure. I then order a flipping pie and it takes 10 minutes to make. SERIOUSLY!!! Absolutely pathetic. By the time the pie was served it was stone cold (like Steve Austin) no but seriously it was freezing and had what looked to be dandruff flakes smeared all on top of the pastry. I missed my daughters dance routine waiting for this world famous pie and i'm served with a pathetic excuse of a meal. Some i=one really needs to get there head out their backside and get real. That's all i have to say. However some of the staff in there need a p45 immedidiatley . Fresh pies? dream on sunshine.

Pork pies don't meet up to the standard of Burchall's, but a much wider selection and everything I've tried is delicious, especially the sausage rolls.

The buns, cakes and cooked meats that we purchased were absolutely lovely, as they usually are. Everything we buy from here is very good, very moreish, if you know what I mean. Very polite and efficient staff aswell.

I was told by a work colleague from St Helens to take a visit to Blackburn's as the products they sell are top quality 👍 I'm now making a 100 mile round trip every week to stock up on their excellent products.Bread,cakes,pies,hot pots, sandwiches,rolls,barmcakes are superb and so are the staff👍

Blackburns Bakery is second to none everything baked fresh every day l only live a 10 mins walk and when we are visiting our family in Doncaster we always take them a good selection of pies cakes and there bread and bread rolls are delicious and soft. The STAFF and not forgetting everyone in the background making everything are so polite friendly and nothing is to much trouble always smiles on faces. I must also mention the HOTPOTS they are so tasty better than Betty's in Rovers return THANK YOU BLACKBURNS⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I travel from Manchester to enjoy their wares! Best meat and potato pies ever, wonderful fresh sandwiches, very generously filled. Blackcurrant tarts are second to none, they often haven’t any left..! Always a queue out of the door and with good reason, it’s always worth the short wait. Staffed with a lovely team of hard working local ladies - efficient and friendly. Always look forward to a visit there.

Best steak pies about, well better than Greggs and Galloways. The heat retention achieved from the delightfully buttery pastry is staggering; a 15 minute car journey home and you will still burn your mouth on the most flavorsome lava you will ever encounter. 3 steak pies and a sausage roll goes down a treat and very cheap as well.

Best pies and sausage rolls in Merseyside with the most incredibly polite and helpful staff. Only problem is twiddling your thumbs until 9 in the morning.

Blackburn's bakery is as famous in St Helens as its Rugby team. They make the nicest pies and cakes, barmcakes, ect for miles around. They have quite a number for staff working behind the counter, so you will not be waiting long to get served. Staff are very friendly and polite and everything is freshly made on site. The other good thing is, the prices are right. They also will accept cash card payment. Yes I very much recommend Blackburn's they are the icing on the cake, when it comes a bakery shop.
