Poor and slow service. When advised to use the automatic machines to place my order, I was charged and only after was I told that they had no more left of my order (it was food not a drink). I asked for a refund, the staff didn't know how to do it, called someone for further instructions and then they told me that I should be refunded within 5 working days. When I asked for a receipt (as a proof that they had processed my refund), the staff got upset and was quite annoyed. I returned to the store 10 days after as the refund hadn't been processed, they couldn't help more and just gave me a loyalty card to get a free coffee for them next time. Definitely not gonna use it.

Its the best coffee shop I know, quality of their coffee is above all others I've been to so far. Staff are always friendly, food is good quality and the atmosphere is very laid back. Nice place to be!

Had Banoffee with Biscoff spread Waffles a bit soft and be warned spread runs like hot chocolate down a white shirt !!! The wrapping sticks to the waffle so its almost impossible to eat without getting covered in sauce !! Taste was good But be warned, prepare to get messy.

Thank you Jordan! When Jordan served me at the other branch of Black Sheep Coffee, he was excellent in serving me really well, he made amazing coffee and an amazing salmon sandwich that was delicious! I could see he was a proper hard worker and me feel truly welcome at the coffee shop!

I ordered cortado and asked “do you have almond milk” and he said “there is”then he added “ there is also coconut milk” and I said “almond is fine” and took my coffee take away ..After walking for 10min I discovered my coffee tastes like coconut for extra price ..thank you!! 1st time ..last tome

I visit this place regularly as I love the smoothies and coffee there. Jesy there is great and is always happy and serving customers with a smile. 100% recommend.

Every time I go in I get greeted with a lovely smile and speedy service. The atmosphere is great with the busy bustle of the city centre and the fresh smell of coffee as I walk past the doorway which entices you in immediately. There is one of your barista’s that does really stand out from the rest though. She’s got an eyebrow piercing and I’m sure she said her name was Jessie? She is so lovely. She stood out to me because she has a quick conversation with everyone and ensures they leave with a beaming smile, she also makes the BEST honey cardamom oat latte I’ve ever had from your chain. The perfect blend of cinnamon to honey! Honestly 10/10. She’s got a few tattoos and red hair at the moment it was blonde. Will definitely be returning for my bi-daily coffee

I always have an excellent experience when I visit Black Sheep on Deansgate. I visited on a Friday afternoon and ordered an oat milk latte and a pastry- both are always to a brilliant standard. The staff are always super friendly and go above and beyond to help you out- in particular Brogan and Joe who served me during my last visit!! I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place for a coffee in town :)

I cannot praise their food high enough. It was hands down the nicest breakfast wrap I have ever had. The staff were friendly and helpful, it was clean and their service was fast even though they were busy. We were able to sit outside and watch the world go by before my daughter went off to catch her train. A lovely place to stop and I highly recommend it.

Like all Black Sheep Coffee places, there is pretty good coffee and respectable food. Service is through a screen though, so it can feel a little impersonal, and it's a little quiet.

Absolutely perfect location, especially to meet up in Manchester city centre with close proximity to everywhere you want to go or need to go after nice cup of coffee, tea or Matcha. Highly recommend!

Great little place and not a big American chain. This is a Norweigen coffee shop. Easy to self order screens, which speeds up the service as all the staff are making orders or cleaning the tables. Such a better system than other places. The espresso was so nice that I did t need my usual sprinkle of sugar to hide any bitter taste. It was fine as it was and the snacks were well cooked and priced.

Nice little shop. It's ordered by machine and they call out your order. The seating is limited though. I ordered some smoothies and mini doughnuts. They were delicious.

Great coffee shop in Manchester where we had paused during a day out before a concert. This is one of my favourite brands as I particularly like the blend of coffee they use. We sat with our drinks in an excellent environment - comfortable and relaxing. Like most clients, we were using our phones. Some clients were using their phones at full volume, though. As there were staff available, is it unreasonable to expect them to monitor this sort of antisocial behaviour? I don't this it is unreasonable. I left with negative thoughts, and as a regular user of this chain, I would now choose Costa over Black Sheep. So a suggestion to management. Consider keeping your environments a calm and peaceful place to relax and remember where your custom is coming from.

Definitely my favourite BLACK SHEEP COFFEE of Manchester. Wow, service is just always amazing, the staff always so funny and jolly and don’t even get me started on the velvety and perfect coffee texture every time. The cookie is also to die for and doughnuts are a perfect snack WELL DONE DEANSGATE TEAM. Will be back 👍

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Terrible atmosphere – music with pounding bass so loud you'd be forgiven for thinking you had mistakenly walked into a nightclub. Couldn't hear myself think, much less carry on a conversation. The coffee was lovely, but the smoothie bowl was basically frozen gloop with some frozen sultanas. Horrible, but I'd paid £7 for it, so I had to eat it. Avoid this shop and wander down to the Spinningfields one, which is much more chill.

They give me a a single expresso less than a shot and cold .. The girl serving ohh i think she had a bad day with a ugly face . .😝😝 Not going in there any more ..

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Busy city coffee house with limited low seating but plenty of the less popular bar stools. Urban vibe with street art on the walls. The toilets are clean but are a little inaccessible down a tight steep winding staircase to the basement. The coffee, a cappuccino, was delicious and I would recommend it. Worth a visit but nothing to raise it above the other myriad coffee places in Manchester. No disabled access and no parking.

I had a pretty specific order, which was accommodated with zero fussby the pleasant staff. Coffee was pretty good, although I would recommend getting an extra shot in your Americano unless you like it weak. Pastries were a bit disappointing. Toilet had no Toilet roll.

First cappuccinos were cold, returned was asked if I’d like them hot !!!! Then had to wait whilst barista made 3 other orders. Next set of drinks lukewarm, had to drink quick to avoid cold coffee. Awful service awful product

This was an amazing little find. The coffee and hot chocolate were lovely and the staff were really friendly. They also have a social conscious, allowing you to buy a coffee token to put in their board, allowing anyone who really needs a coffee and can't buy one to have one, and they pop all their unsold food out for the homeless each night. Supporting small businesses like this is so important. I will definitely seek them out next time I am in Manchester

Great place for a quick espresso

I went into BSC and waited ten minutes for as delicious a cup of coffee as I've ever had there. The two members of staff were up to their eyeballs in orders but kept on smiling, communicating with one another and working hard as a unit, always with a sincere apology or thanks to the customer for having to wait. You can write a good review when things are going seamlessly but I wanted to leave a great one for when this place's spirit really shone.

Served by an incredibly condescending, smarmy, and arrogant barista…woman with black hair and round glasses…you know who you are. You should think about keeping your side eyes and smart comments to yourself….coffee was fine though, as was the other woman making the coffee.

A chain that used to have the feel of a welcoming coffee house now feels like a joyless Starbucks. Touch screen ordering and bored staff.

My first time in a Black Sheep and had a great experience. Easy ordering, great atmosphere, and the best tasting coffee!! Will definitely be back.
