Lovely find in St Ives. Great tasting coffee and plenty of choice. Worth a trip!

Really nice shop and friendly service. My coffee wasn't that great unfortunately, my espresso was overly bitter and just didn't taste good. I bought some of the beans for sale, Colombia Rio Magdalena, and these were very far from fresh, supermarkets sell much better beans these days. My partner's frappe was excellent though. So if you want premium coffee, I wouldn't bother, but for a nice place with a cute location and friendly service and sugary milky coffees, It's pretty good.

We head to Black Robin usually as a meeting point when I meet up with friends for shopping and walking. The coffee is outstanding so much so we also grab there beans from time to time to replicate the experience at home. Just very very very good coffee ☕️

Almost missed this tiny independent coffee shop as it’s tucked away off the high street. Glad I didn’t as my double espresso was excellent—and only £2.30! Friendly, good looking staff also added to the positive experience. I’ll be sure to return next time I’m in St Ives.

You can not get a better cup of coffee in St Ives, than the fabulous brews of black robin. I often also buy the coffee beans for special occasions or as gifts, because they really are special blends. Not to mention the chocolate coated coffee beans. The staff are always friendly, helpful and so knowledgeable. You can guarantee to be greeted with a smile. They are also super dog friendly, and my little pooch always gets a fuss when we go in. St Ives wouldn’t be the same without this shop.

Visited on a Saturday morning. Ordered a Americano coffee and ginger cake. Asked for cream they did not have any. Two nice chatty guys serving. Nice tasting coffee and cake. Would buy take away again from them x

Brilliant Foundry Walk Coffee and tea trading cafe.. Unique in every aspect of its trading focussing on complete quality and customer satisfaction . Never disappointing..Get down to Foundry Walk and explore..

There is no room (or barely any) inside but luckily we managed a seat outside. Frankly we would have just taken it with us and grabbed a bench somewhere close by anyway. Lovely service and great coffee. Always good to support a local business wherever I am.

We go hear almost every weekend. The staff are always lovely, and there seems to be unlimited options for drinks! I have never had coffee like it and the fact you can buy their blend to take home makes it even better. It is now the perfect present for my dad too who is very particular about his coffee!

Nicely styled but the iced cappuccino is basically a plain iced coffee, no froth so I wouldn't recommend ordering one, and the staff left us waiting in a queue on a separate occasion with the door open (so looked open) without telling us they had shut which was really rude. So room for improvement.

My daughter is in the catering industry and has the ability to sniff out quant little cafes and restaurants. She discovered this place months ago and since then has become a regular visitor and has been desperate to introduce me. So we visited at the end of a long walk on a hot day with my two dogs. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. We had forgotten our COVID masks so they bought our drinks out to us despite being very busy. The coffee was exceptional and the interior is crammed with different varieties of beans from every corner of the world! And the dogs were catered for with a jar of complimentary gravy bones and a dish of chilled water. A real sanctuary for humans and dogs!!

The highlight of my morning walking the dog has been stopping for a coffee at Black Robin Coffee! The staff are lovely and take a genuine interest in you. The coffee is better than any of the chain shops and they are dog friendly. Be warned though walking past when you aren't stopping there with the dog results in the hound trying to pull you back towards them! Make the effort to find them tucked away down the alley.

Hands down best coffee in St Ives, they use local oat milk too, friendly staff, best place to visit on a stroll through town!

A hidden gem! Super coffee specialists whether it’s a takeaway or picking up my monthly subscription they’re always super friendly and helpful. Never again will I go to Costa, or other high street coffee outlets - worth the extra few steps!

Great people and amazing coffee selection

Recently visited this quaint and inviting independent coffee shop in St Ives, and ordered a soya vanilla latte to takeaway. Lovely little place with chatty staff, a good, ranging drinks menu and the option to buy whole beans and other coffee accompaniments. The latte was nice and came at a fair price too.

Absolutely delicious coffee! We've had four bags delivered today and cannot wait to try them. Website is updated with new types all the time so there are so many to try. I wish they came in larger bags :)

This small coffee shop is all about the coffee. The two staff a full of passion about the types of coffee beans they use and the flavours produced. Just two window seats so do not expect space but you go there for the coffee. Some cakes and other snakes also on offer. Very popular with regulars purchasing coffee beans.

The shop also sells beans, freshly ground coffee and locally made cakes. Staff are friendly and helpful, always willing to make your coffee just how you like it. St Ives needed an independent coffee shop like this!

They have ramped up the style of business with a sit down area allowing for a relaxed atmosphere. Cost is pretty good in comparison to some local coffee 'chains' and the staff are very pleasant. The dark chocolate coffee beans are a MUST!

Every time I go somewhere new I pick up a pound of my coffee for my buddy back at home. The Black Robin was my go to this time around in England. Hidden in an alley in the town of St. Ives, the spot is new & hip. The owner manager is easy going & very knowledgeable of his products. Enjoy!

I love this place!!! Most friendly staff you will ever find and amazing coffee whats not to love? I frequently visit this coffee shop and have never had a bad coffee it is always perfect and always with a smile and a chat what more could you ask for? I go normally at least once a week more often more then that because I love it so much!!! I highly recommend this amazing coffee shop if your in town!! You wont regret it :-).

Having finished our shopping we were looking for somewhere to sit, relax and enjoy a hot drink. We happened up The Black Robin. It's a tiny coffee shop tucked away down a small alleyway close to the shops and definitely worth hunting down. There are a couple of tables inside to sit at and enjoy your very tasty coffee and snack, take way is also an option. Equally they have a large menu of coffee, either beans or freshly ground so that you can enjoy their delicious coffee at home. Both Joel and Alun offered a friendly service and cosy environment to enjoy their coffee. We wish them well with their venture.

We've been going here for a couple of years every working day: it's our daily tipple. I would not be able to function without a BRC cortado and a bit of banter with Joel. The previous owner was very amiable, a skilled barista and passionate coffee lover, and it's great to see that these values have been embraced by the new crew. There have been some great (and long overdue) changes like skimmed and soy milk, with cold-brew and nitro promised soon... They've also continued the annual xmas tradition of special order Blue Mountain Coffee, thankfully.Their side-alley location doesn't help, but it's literally thirty seconds from Costa -- next time you're headed in there for some milky swill do an about face, find Foundry Walk, and experience what coffee's really about.
