The Black horse on Camden road is by far my favourite pub in Tunbridge wells. The staff are amazing, attentive and kind, T and Natty really go above and beyond for everyone to make sure every guest feels at home. There is such a community feel that is lost in so many places now. They host weekly events like Cheesey bingo, Quiz nights and have various live bands. Phats the gorgeous lab is often roaming around between tables, tent and pool table getting all the attention he can! I have had some of my favourite nights in this pub since moving to Kent and could not speak more highly! A true asset to Tunbridge wells.

Really disappointed with our visit last week, the pub was very dirty & the staff were unwelcoming. The toilets were really dirty & there was a very strong smell.

Great venue for my wife's 60th birthday. The landlady couldn't do enough to make the party go without a hitch. Highly recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Black Horse Pub on a number of occasions for TW Fringe and also had an amazing time at a Stendo event. The staff were very accommodating and extremely friendly, which really added to the overall experience. Although it wasn't very busy during our visit this occasion, it's clear that this venue would be perfect for parties, small weddings, and other celebrations. I highly recommend The Black Horse Pub for anyone looking for a fun, relaxed, and friendly spot to enjoy a night out with friends or family. 10/10 would definitely visit again!

We,d like to thank Teresa and her staff for letting us use her garden for our daughter's wedding reception it was decorated lovely and the food was delicious, we would recommend it to others, thanks again

Good traditional pub does what it says on the tin !!!

Popped in for a quiet pint and to have a read instead of being stuck in my home and was greeted by a very friendly dog, always a brilliant first impression wherever you go! Good selection of drinks, and lots of comfortable chairs to choose from. Telly and music playing so you can watch sports with your pint.

Recently hired the place for a 50th birthday party. Venue, food, decoration… all amazing. But most of all, amazing friendly staff. Everybody had an amazing time. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place for all occasions, have recently hired the outdoor area for a party which was decorated amazingly with balloons, banners and fairy lights all around, as well as a personalised cocktail bar. Due to it being in the colder months of the year we were supplied with toasty gas heaters which kept all the guests warm! The staff are always lovely, welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic little local pub. Everyone so freindly both sides of the bar, great selection off beers n wines, a brilliant venue to end the day after work. Still yet to to try of a weekend, but so far so good!!

Friendly staff, great cider, pool table amazing

Any place that turns down a heavily pregnant woman when she asked to use a bathroom deserves one star or less. The lady was turned down by an unfriendly staff woman at the bar with a red eye. Legally, of course, they can do and it is their absolute right, but I would avoid such an unwelcoming place. Unless you buy a drink there...then you are very welcome.

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. Hand sanistiser everywhere, good social distanting. Even the Pool Balls get sanistised between games 👍👍👍

Lively little vibe went to the pub for karaoke.. first time properly going , was welcomed nicely by a little group at the bar (owner and friends?) And by the staff. Flattered to be asked for ID at 25 , but having bar experience was glad to see they asked, due to under age drinking being an issue in twells. The bar lady was nice enough to ask the owners if I was ok to be served, to which they allowed., this showed experienced landladies with some common sense. Really friendly pub, another time going they welcomed our son to be in the pub for an after xmas shopping drink and allowed him to play snooker /pool with us..this showed great diversity in the way they handle different sorts of customer's. The regulars were also very friendly. Great relaxed and family atmosphere all round.good job girls.

Went on a wet winter Monday before going to The Spice next door so it was not busy. Nice beer. Perhaps suffers a bit from Tunbridge Wells pricing syndrome

Friendly big open fire very cosy.

A first visit. A typical small town public house with a lively and friendly clientele. A nice range of beers at very reasonable prices (compared to West London). The staff are friendly too and the pub is well furnished and clean. There is a sizeable outdoor area.

Quiet (on a Monday), fresh and bright inside and friendly staff. We wanted somewhere for a drink and a chat and it fitted the bill perfectly

This establishment sltuated on a main thoroughfare is actuarially more than it appears due to an outside the rear has a decking place to eat/drink, can be a pleasant change on sunny day. Food and excellent beer, service and relaxation.

Not a gastro, no messing about.......it's a pub. Pool, music and good atmosphere. Very friendly bar staff.....can't really fault it....except I like sitting at a bar and it'snot the longest. Otherwise, tip top.
