Highly recommend the cheese scones, like the coffee: delicious. Hubby had cream tea, very nice, he liked the wooden paw shaped plate. Staff were friendly, in and outside seating. Lovely clean loo. Just as good as when we visited the area last year...plan to call in again when we hope to visit the area next year (shame we don't live closer!)

After a short walk by canal and before starting a long drive to Yorkshire I popped in for coffee and cake. The cake was amazing and huge! They offered a box to take some home, glad to report it tasted just as good at home!! Good flavoursone coffee too. Lovely friendly staff and put a smile on my face for the gruelling trip home.

The pistachio cookie and flat white ☕️ were exceptional. The lemon drizzle cake was drizzled to perfection. Busy means that it’s got to be good and certainly worth the wait. Leave full and with a smile.

What a wonderful cafe, friendly service, excellent coffee (which I don't always find with decaf) and an amazing choice of cookies and cake. There was only one problem and that was deciding what to have! I opted for a white chocolate and fudge cookie which was excellent, my friend had a cheese scone, with a choice of 3 different butters! If the weather is OK, there are tables outside. I would highly recommend and I will be back.

Small friendly cafe, just wish it was bigger as had to wait for a table to become vacant. Excellent coffee and cake. Dog friendly

Hands down best coffee and cake in Devizes. We were staying in the area for a few months and ate far too much cake and enjoyed too much coffee from Black Dog. At least, it would have been too much if we hadn’t enjoyed it so much. Tip top service and tasty treats. We will be back.

We stopped here for coffee and cake and, surprisingly, a game of chess! What a beautiful little cafe. Friendly service, the most delicious banana bread ever and a lovely atmosphere. Just a minute’s walk from the canal path, this is a fantastic venue and certainly one we will return to.

What an absolute gem of a find! Saw the blackboard sign for the shop as we walked along the canal path and diverted for a coffee. A small spotlessly clean cafe, with a generously warm welcome from the proprietors. Our coffee was freshly made so was lovely and hot. The lemon shortbread was amazing! Light with a subtle flavour, my husband had the confetti cake, a joyous light vanilla sponge with sprinkles and a generous layer of jam in the centre, finished with a light butter cream. I am surprised he shared! The dogs each received a home made treat, which even our very fussy collie puppy wolfed down. This was a welcome break in a long day walk, next time we are in the area, we will be definitely making a return visit.

Visited on a recommendation from a friend. Flat white and cheese scone with marmite butter. Flat white was nicely balanced in flavours (coffee and milk), cheese scone nicely savoury and tasted light yet was filling. Try it out you will not be disappointed.

This independent coffee shop has been open a year and is well worth a small walking detour from Devizes town center. The cakes and desserts are freshly baked daily on the premises. You can enjoy sitting inside the friendly cafe or outside in the courtyard Everything has been beautifully thought through from the artisan decor to the menu range including daily fresh milk and produce from local farms and vendors.

The Black Dog is a hidden gem. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, I am always greeted with a smile. They do the most incredible sweet treats- My personal favourites being their banana bread, closely followed by any of their New York cookies and a Biscoff oat milk latte. They’re very inclusive and have clearly put a lot of thought into their menu, this is emphasised by the fact they do Vegan Whipped Cream! The Cafe itself is smaller than average, but that’s one of the reasons I like it so much, it’s what makes it feel so cosy and homely. The only two things to be aware of when visiting, is that: 1. They don’t do that many savoury options. 2. Once you’ve gone once, you won’t be able to stop going back! Especially for that banana bread 🤤

Me and my partner visit all the time, The cookies are fantastic and the coffee is the best in town! I also recently ordered a non dairy and GF cake, this can be hard to get at some places but after a quick email exchange with the owner I ordered a Lemon drizzle cake for my partners birthday, it was brilliant! We will be back in again soon with our Golden Retriever Buddy for more coffee and cakes soon!

I have visited multiple times since opening. Great location for coffee and a sweet treat on a dog walk without having to walk further into town. With rangebourne (pet shop) around the corner, it has become a regular weekend activity. Impressive amount of vegan options and everything I have tried has been lovely. Biscoff latte is next level!

First ever visit on a Sunday. Three course lunch for £15, two for £12 and just the main for £8.95. Good food and comes with a hot or cold drink (cannot say cold as fruit juice had not been chilled). Will be back.

The best coffee in Langholm can never just one cup though. Our second visit this month, last time we had lunch which was lovely, chilli wrap. This time we just had coffee and a shortbread biscuit for Alfie the dog. Very friendly attentive staff. Fully reccomend.
