Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. Food was excellent and served in a timely manner. Nice selection of dishes & drinks on the menu. We will return.

Hemos visto cómo se retiran todas las sillas, mesas, etc., por lo que obviamente tampoco se volverá a abrir. Lamento que tuvimos excelentes comidas allí con un personal de primera clase.

Investigué un poco en Trip Advisor, encontré este restaurante con buenas críticas y decidí probarlo. También estaba a solo unos minutos a pie de nuestro hotel, así que parecía perfecto para nosotros. Éramos un grupo de cuatro personas y no nos decepcionó. Pedimos bistecs y pescado y todo estaba bien. Los postres también eran deliciosos. Si en Londres volveré.

Después de un largo viaje en tren a Londres, estaba buscando un bocado rápido en Notting Hill y tropecé con Black & Blue. Me dieron una mesa junto a la ventana para disfrutar de la gente mirando y pedí una hamburguesa y papas fritas con una cerveza fría. I have been dining - and lunching - at Black & Blue for more than fifteen years and it has never disappointed, including today. Our Cote de Boeuf steak for two (600g, £42) was a bargain, given that it includes two portion of fries, different sauces and large salad. The quality of meat was superb, accurately cooked medium-rare, and we chose to accompany it with three grilled prawns, also expertly grilled with garlic sauce to go with, making this a surf and turf heaven, with a great presentation. Our carafe of Portuguese Tinto wine was great with the steak and desserts (chocolate brownie and cheesecake) round off the meal nicely, with some Languedoc Sauvignon Blanc. In the past we had burgers and all designations of steak, plus the divine grilled garlic prawns many times at this branch and at other ones in London. I have been to Goodman, Hawksmoor and Gaucho, all big names for steak in London and I always tell me friends this place much better, and today’s heavenly food proved my point yet again. Guys, thank you for the nice steak and service (BTW, service charge goes straight to staff). Nice way to start our Christmas.

After not being able to get a table for dinner at a nearby pub, we were headed back towards the Notting Hill Gate tube stop and came across it. No diners were inside, but the menu looked good. The staff was friendly and the service was good. My wife had salmon and I had a chicken breast. Both were very good. I felt the prices were very reasonable for a London restaurant with good portion sizes.

Four of us enjoyed a family get together on a Monday night. We had a booth table, perfect for the four of us to chat, restaurant wasn’t too busy. Staff were very friendly, food was really well cooked and presented. Prawn and chicken satay starters both really good. Steak frites really good value (asked for peppercorn sauce, which was no trouble and not charged for), ribs very much enjoyed. Super Languedoc red wine, excellent value. Not a super fancy pants place, but a worthwhile upgrade on Cote. Lots to choose from on menu and a good wine list. Will be back!

I visited this restaurant with my wife on 17/10/19 and this was our second visit. Eventually we were heading to the Royal Albert Hall for a concert but decided to use this restaurant as we had found it very nice on a prior visit. The restaurant is just around the corner from Notting Hill Gate underground station. Very convenient. Firstly, the staff are very attentive and polite without being obtrusive. Several waiters served us during this visit and all were excellent. We both chose the king prawns with garlic sauce as starters. The prawns were very impressive and tasty. I chose a sirloin steak for my main course, served with thin fries and a side salad plus peppercorn sauce. They cooked it absolutely perfect. A very lovely meal and a quite large piece of steak. My wife chose a chargrilled chicken salad which she really enjoyed and found very filling. Finally we both finished with an ice cream mine topped with an expresso coffee. Very nice indeed. To complement the meal my wife chose a glass of rose pinot Grigio and I had a carafe of a very fruity Sauvignon Blanc ( Wairu) The restaurant has a very nice ambience and during the early evening candles were put on each table. A very nice romantic touch. Whilst we were there the restaurant was reasonably busy but not noisy which we liked. All in all another superb return visit to this restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to all the staff including those in the kitchen who made the evening so wonderful.

Perfect for an uncomplicated lunch or dinner. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Food is well prepared and plentiful. I will come back many times more :)

We’ve eaten all over London and in all price ranges, but this place disappoints. The food is expensive for what you get, and the portions are small, in fact my son ended up eating 2 main courses and he’s as skinny as a rake. Won’t be going back.

We had dinner here, the ribs and beef bougiongnon where excellent. The food was great and very tasty and not too expensive. Service was great.

We booked a table for 4 to celebrate my birthday. It was our first visit and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I got the name of Isabella who looked after us, but am afraid I didn't get anyone else's name. I had the lamb chops which were lovely. My husband had a fillet steak and our son and girlfriend shared the Cote de Boeuf. We shared the prawns which were good. I can't remember what everyone had for dessert but I had the chocolate fondant. A very nice meal and comfortable seating.

This is a pleasant restaurant with banquette seated intimate areas as well as standalone tables and chairs. Have been coming here on and off ever since this restaurant opened and staff are very friendly and recognise their repeat customers. Good quality beef is served here and you can get an excellent Cote de Boeuf cooked as you like it as well as other beef cuts. This time we had Seabass and Beef Bourguignon as a change.

Every time we visit London we always make a point of eating here. Nice & relaxed vibe, cool artwork on the walls, attentive & very friendly staff and amazing food! Will be back (time & time again..)

This is a nice airy space with plenty of natural light. Seating is comfortable and well spaced out . The staff are very professional, and provide a really warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble . The menu is extensive and offers a good variety of dishes to suit all tastes and pockets . The set menu comprising 2 courses for £16 offers outstanding value for money--Today I chose the steak it was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly.

We had not been back for about a year and in the past we normally had Cote de Boeuf. This time we decided to have something different. Boeuf Bourguignon with mashed potato and green beans and Steak and Thai Green Curry. The former was very good but we did not think that steak went with Thai Green Curry and rice. Next time we will go back to sharing Cote de Boeuf! Service is always very good and friendly and surprised to be recognised after a year! This restaurant is known for it's beef done on the grill although you can have fish amongst other offerings.

Booked table for two in advance. We were seated in comfortable booth style seating. Place was quiet when we arrived at 7pm on Easter Saturday. Pleasant staff. Plenty choice on menu. Prawn starter and beef burger for my husband- served with fries. I had prawns in garlic butter - served with fries and a lovely caesar type salad. Very enjoyable meal and reasonably priced. I would go back.

We had Mother’s Day lunch in Black & Blue Notting Hill Gate. As always a great experience. The boys were treated to sausage and mash (huge plate big enough for two in hindsight) and a ham omelette with fries which they couldn’t finish. We had the pave rump with green Thai rice and the sea bream. Both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Such huge portions left us with no space for dessert. Sundays and Mondays all wine bottles are 50% off. So a meal for four with wine for £83. And really enjoyable.

Popped in to treat myself to a nice lunch today. Have walked past many times but today I popped in. Friendly professional staff and quick service, Restaurant has a nice ambiance with varied seating options. I had a first rate filet steak salad and fries which was well presented and delicious. Lovely large piece of filet perfectly cooked.

Have dined several times at this venue through the past few years. Very good quality meat & fish dishes reasonably priced. Restaurant Staff always properly trained, very helpful and not overbearing. Always use B&B; when I have visitors in town. Will go back again soon.

My friend brought me to this cosy restaurant!

Myself, my wife and a few friends went for dinner recently. We had reserved a booth down the side which we always do and are very comfy. The waiters/waitresses were always attentive and the food was really good. I had the classic burger with bacon and cheese was was cooked perfectly to my taste (medium) and there were plenty of fries with it. We ordered a bottle of red wine - 'Old Vines' Languedoc which was very good. For dessert my wife and I shared a Chocolate Fondant which had a perfect gooiness in the middle. It was midweek so not too busy but a nice atmosphere for the 3 hours we were there. Highly recommended.

The food is always delicious, the service is efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Coming from California's Wine Country, I'm still able to find a red wine I enjoy and if not, champagne to the rescue!

Comment gâcher un plat avec le truc le plus simple à faire: les frites. Pour le coup, ce n’est pas qu’elle soient pas maison mais surtout qu’elles étaient sèches... Car trop cuites pour des allumettes. Pour le reste un steach house comme il y en a beaucoup. Serveur sympa.

Balck & Blue Steakhouse has a very elegant setting and a decent menu, had a good steak here with a moderately priced red wine.

In terms of food, service and ambience this has to be the best in the area. The choice of wine by the glass was a bit limited and their booking system tries to ensure two sittings by getting you to book either early or late when this proved to be totally unnecessary in our case.

Four of us agree this was the nicest meal we had in England! We were there around 6 on a Friday evening and had great service, and were served delicious, large meals at a quite reasonable price. Our friend needed gluten free which was readily accommodated. Highly recommend this for dinner and then walk a bit further down to see the Churchill Arms. Don't expect to get in there on a Friday night though. Imbibe at the Black & Blue and just take in the sights around the area. Highly recommended!

In America there are several chain restaurants that serve blooming onions, but it isn't something I've often seen in the UK. Cut to me travelling all the way to Notting Hill once I heard that Black & Blue have them on the menu. I regret nothing, it was totally worth it. The 'flowering onion' held together amazingly, falling into perfect bite sized sections. Served with a tangy peppercorn dip, the whole ensemble was delightful and morish. I did feel that calling 375ml of wine a 'carafe' was a little optimistic but we enjoyed the brisk Sancerre regardless. We did notice quite a lot of staff for not a lot of customers and were a little perturbed that a service charge applied automatically for a table of two but all in all are happy to have found a new little gem of a restaurant. The Storm Thorgerson prints lining the walls were a great surprise too.

I’ve been here a few times now. You don’t make a booking here, you just turn up. It’s a nice little restaurant just one minute around the corner from Notting Hill Gate Station. If you want a good steak you will get one here. Had the Sirloin and it was beautiful. Nice and tender and came with a large dish of French fries. They have a very good wine list too. If you are looking for cocktails you won’t find many there. I think they had seven cocktails on the list. The staff are very nice and efficient too. A lovely place to spend a few hours in.

Il prezzo e' piu' elevato della media, ma considerando la posizione e la qualita', si puo' fare

Everything is bland... bearnaise is bland, ribeye is bland, salad etc... “Can I have a new bearnaise?” It won’t make a difference it’s the same bottle” Don’t go if you are a meatlover.

Locale piccolo e caratteristico. La bistecca e le costine (Ribs) ottime. Buono ed equilibrato il burro aromatizzato. Buonissimi i dolci al cioccolato. Molto cordiale tutto il personale.

I’ve always loved Black & Blue and this restaurant is one of my favourite in the chain. It’s close to Notting Hill Gate, so easily accessible. The staff and service in this restaurant are excellent. There is no booking available unless you are in a large group, but they always allow you to sit on a table of your choice.

Fui con mi otra mitad y almorzamos un domingo. Tenían un precio - fix almuerzo para 16 libras por dos campos - ambos muy sabroso! This restaurant offers very good steaks, particularly Cote de Boeuf which you can share if you are not very hungry! On this occasion we decided to try some other of their offerings after which I recon that sticking to beef is best!

Estábamos buscando un lugar para comer carne buena y no nos decepcionó. Nos encantó todo. La carne era excelente. Los vinos por copa era muy bueno y también las ensaladas. La atención del personal fue excelente. Muy recomendable lugar en Notting Hill.

aged 35 days was outstanding, but everything else about our meal was average. My fish was unmemorable and the cheese platter was standard fare from the standard grocery store. Service was indifferent...not bad, not great.

El lugar es agradable y el personal era genial. Comí un filete que fue preparado como ordenados, tamaño y buen sabor. La Souce bernaise que acompañaron la carne no fue hecho desde cero y sabía suave y la ensalada no era impresionante. El plato podría haber sido elevada usando real Bernaise y poner unas en la ensalada.

We visit from time to time to have their "Cote de Boeuf" which is best shared by two people. They have seating booths as well as other tables. The booths have marble table tops and linen napkins are provided. Service is very attentive but not obtrusive and quality of food is persistently very good.

De passage à Notting Hill nous nous sommes arrêtés pour déjeuner au Black & Blue. Pour 16£ nous avons eu un excellent steak et un dessert. Service très gentil. A refaire!

Abbiamo scoperto questo ristorante grazie alle recensioni lusinghiere su tripadvisor e non siamo rimasti delusi. Il locale si trova all’interno dell’hotel Intercontinental sulle rive del Tamigi, nella zona dei docks. È piuttosto lontano dal centro di Londra, ma vale il viaggio; ci si arriva in metropolitana in circa 35-40 minuti. L’ambiente è molto raffinato, il ristorante si affaccia sul fiume e ha una vetrata con vista sulla skyline veramente spettacolare. Il menù è consono all’elevato livello del locale: i piatti sono classici della cucina anglosassone rivisitati: raviolo di aragosta e granchio, pernice, maialino con tartufo e poi anatra, agnello, halibut, merluzzo... è possibile anche scegliere il menù degustazione di 7 portate. Quello che ha reso la serata speciale però è stato il servizio: il supervisor, Marco Valerio, ha dimostrato una professionalità incredibile sia come sommelier che nel descrivere le portate e ci ha seguiti dall’inizio alla fine della cena. Carta dei vini di livello. Estremamente costoso, ma la qualità si paga cara sopratutto in una città come Londra dove la pessima ristorazione è diffusa. Assolutamente raccomandato.

Decent steaks and ok service, but three things blemished our visit. We asked for a glass of sparkling wine, but were told that it wasn’t possible. We had to buy half a bottle as a minimum. We ordered chocolate fondants as deserts, and they arrived less than one minute later - looking and tasting like a pre-manufactured product. The biggest surprise came with the bill. The restaurant had charged themselves a pretty hefty service charge, between 10 and 15% if my calculations are correct. That is completely unacceptable to me: a restaurant (or waiter) gets extra paid if it deserves to, not from what it charge the customers. This was our first and last visit here. Truly disappointing.

Como un grupo de seis tuvimos el placer de cenar aquí. Yo diría que en este rango de precio que usted puede encontrar restaurantes mucho mejores a distancia razonable. No me malinterpretéis, el tomar carne era muy agradable, así que era el servicio. Visitar el domingo significaba que vino era, que era muy agradable. El postre estaba bueno, pero provenientes de fuera en lugar de ser casero. Como me dijo que la comida y la experiencia fue buena, pero nada especial y por este precio recomendaría Casa Malevo (excelente) o incluso un restaurantes con la concesión de una estrella Michelín.

We enjoyed a good steak at this restaurant which also has a lovely ambience, good staff that generally were well mannered and the place was easy to get to. On the less positive, the steak was small (I think 180 g), which in truth is on the menu. However, for that price you would expect a slightly larger steak. The plate is also filled with a generous portion of chips. More positively, the plate came with good sauces and a decent salad. The cheesecake was also divine.All in all a good dinner.

Après avoir lu les différents avis nous avons décidé de tenter ce restaurant et nous n'avons pas été déçus, entrée délicieuse pour ma part avec des asperges et une sauce hollandaise, suivi d'un très bon poulet dans son burger brioché et pour mon fils un burger tout aussi bon. Steak was very tasty. Although undercooked. We ordered rare and it came out blue. I love blue so not a problem for me. I was disappointed with the chips though. A good steakhouse should not be serving frozen crinkle-cut chips. Please peel some rooster or Maris piper potatoes and cut them by hand and fry them yourselves. Other than that good value. £39 for the Cote se Boeuf which came with large bowl of salad and two portions of chips. Enough for two.

This is a casual but smart modern styled restaurant with wonderful steak and a good wine list. Reminds me of Smolensky's in New York.If you are very hungry order Cote de Boeuf, if not and two of you, still order this and share. It comes with fries for two, tossed salad bowl and a choice of sauces on the side.Service is friendly and efficient. This restaurant can be very busy at peak times.

We discovered this while we were staying at a house just round the corner--ate there twice and it would have become our go-to spot if we'd stayed any longer. Both times we were there the service was friendly and professional, the menu was varied and well-prepared, and the atmosphere was welcoming, informal and relaxed--and, a great plus, no ambient music, which meant you could have a normal conversation (a rarity anywhere these days, though I hope not a temporary aberration here). We got the sense that this was a place where locals came to relax over a decent meal and glass of wine and were happy to do the same.

Busy day in London, we had picked the restaurant from trip advisor as we we're in Notting Hill. Arrived just before 5 which could have put in the lunch deal but that was not the plan, we we're ready to eat big. We were shown to a table and abandoned, I thought until the 5pm window had passed, but alas not offer of a drink or anything while staff passed by. Up and left, £200 lost.

Great value for money & very good food. The Sunday lunch offer is particularly good. £23 each for 2 people, (£46) 3 courses to share & unlimited Mimosa ( Buck's Fizz) give it a try, so worth it

Lovely meal, very good staff who made good recommendations and the service was attentive and thoughtful. The only thing was that the service charge was added on to the bill which is unusual for a party of two

The chain offers a set two course lunch for £16 which is quite good. Enjoyed the burgers. The steak and frites was presentable enough, the omelette though was a bit rubbery. Not much else one can say about the experience.
