Great service all round from the staff who were very polite and courteous and very helpful.

Brilliant we went to meet family for my son's 30th birthday,

Ordered a cappuccino coffee. It was undrinkable. It was so weak. I've never tasted a coffee like that before.

Very friendly great view good food

Everything was lovely only gave a four star for the food because the beef bourguignon could have done with some more meat in it for the price. The Polish waiter was great at his job. Watch out for the service charge on the bill.

Staff were nice, helpful and friendly. Had the valentines day menu on our first visit. Starters and pudding were lovely on that visit. The main course I had was there special 27 years Beef bourguignon was not great. The sauce was lovely, the beef overcooked and some of it really hard, the mash tasted like it came from a Tesco chilled tray ready meal,was tasteless and the carrots were bland also. Really dissapointed and feel let down as the meal cost over £80.00. Be careful what you order is what I would say. Our second visit on Sat 10th Aug was much better. Our server Danny was lovely and attentive. Our starters were OK but far too expensive for what you actually got. The bread needs to be cut all the way through and you need more of the Olives and Chorizo sausages. Olive oils etc need to be bought out when serving starters along with small plates. All our main meals were great. X3 King prawn linguine and Honey Pork. Lovely sauces and ingrediants. Much better on this our second visit I am glad to say.

Food was ok but the greens from supermarket pack lets all the plate down. Im sure its not that hard to keep salad leaves in water bowl to make it look fresh and vibrant and not all dry sad and wrinkly.

A really nice venue with great views, food was good. Staff were very friendly. The only reason that I gave a 2 for service wasn't the waiting staff but the kitchen who were very slow, as it was a lunchtime and not at all busy and especially as we had a 5 and a 2 year old with us.

Very disappointed,no Sunday dinners left,very little choice telling us after we brought drinks .Waited 50 minutes after ordering to get food when the place wasn't busy.Half a chicken was not cooked enough pink chicken still stuck to the bone.Relunctantly paid bill and complained to waitress about our experience which really the chef should have been told.I know they had been busy in the day but noway you should serve food like that at any time disgusting.

Have visited here many times with friends. This time, I took my family. Food ,cocktails excellent but I don't get what's going on with the service? Each time same thing, walk in loads of vacant tables but they make you wait while they check their system, then minutes later seat you somewhere? Then asked many times if ready to order. Once taken its ages before drinks arrive, had to ask. Then take food order and again is same thing,what is going on ? If you are short staffed then don't open, honestly if the food wasn't good I would go elsewhere but it's fantastic 👌. I just hope they sort things out and can say we were not the only ones complaining.

Visited on a Thursday, plenty of nearby parking available and free after 6pm in some locations. No parking at the restaurant itself. Very nicely decorated and clean. You can sit downstairs for bar food or upstairs for the main restaurant, a huge bonus upstairs, weather permitting, you can sit outside on a beautiful veranda overlooking the beach. Good choice of food that changes quite regularly from what I understand. For starters I ordered FRITÔT DE BRIE Deep-fried Brie with dressed leaves and our homemade plum chutney , this was superbly presented and was lovely, however for some reason one of my pieces of Brie was tiny. ( you get three pieces ) my partners was fine, so I bit the bullet and carried on. For mains I decided on the sirloin steak, medium rare. Presentation was amazing and it looked beautifully cooked, however on getting into the steak it was blue !! Very very undercooked. I informed staff who immediately took it away, and after short while they informed me they were going to completely redo the meal. Whilst this was good it meant my partner has finished by the time my newly and beautifully cooked steak arrived. For deserts I went for POT AU CHOCOLAT, A rich chocolate mousse with a raspberry coulis layer, fresh raspberries and a sablé biscuit. Again presentation was superb, the mousse was incredibly rich and flavourful. The staff were very professional and polite, very attentive and helpful. I would recommend a visit, despite the issues I had. Location and staff made up for the issues. I would definitely book a table as it was very busy, ask for a table with a sea view if you can, and if you time the weather right ask to be sat outside on tbe veranda.

We went into the Bistrot Pierre as we were meeting a little boy that we would be looking after later in August and wanted a hot drink. Everywhere else we had tried would not let us take Freddie our dog in.However they were very accomadating and even had water and treats for Freddie

My husband and I came out to dinner. On arrival, the area downstairs smelt of stale beer and unhygienic. We were shown to a table (we had booked) by a waiter who didn't wait to seat us or explain the menu . After a long wait, we ordered our drinks.....and then the meal!!! I ordered 'grilled asparagus,' which was limp and overcooked and stringy. It was disgusting. Thankfully, my husband's calamari was okay. We both ordered steak frites - one pink and one well done. Another very long wait and two pink steaks arrived! We sent them back for the waiter to return in seconds with the correct order, but the steaks were cold. The manager asked how our meal was, and defended the steak by saying it's hard to keep a thin steak hot!!! We know our food well and know a poor meal when we are served one. Unfortunately, not a place we will be returning to.

Extremely small portions of food. 7oz fillet was more like 4oz and came with salad, (no veg) which was limp and brown. Salmon fillet was tiny and came without the edamame beans or asparagus as stated on the menu. We never complain about food, however on this occasion we felt the need to.

The food was great 👍🏼 except that waiter that day serving us keep following up when to dish out our plates even we still having our drinks to finish. I felt in a rush to finish and leave while enjoying Thier beautifull ambience. But nevertheless it's nice to chill with some ciders during sunset in the middle of town.

We came with our company to have a meal booked for 730 heard they will be shutting thr kitchen soon so we went upstairs to start ordering. Somethink we didn't wont to hear. The service was a bit bland we were all happy and chatty and the lady could of thrown in a smile or somethink. Service was slow took a whille for any of it to come through. The food was stunning though so that was the best. The manager was happy 😊 We did spend quite a lot of money in there as there was 14 of us .

Had dinner on a gorgeous summer evening sitting on the balcony overlooking Weston beach and Grand Pier. Relaxing with good food from the midweek special offer menu. Shared the starter and dessert. Everything excellent that we chose: baked camembert, pork medallions, fishcakes nicoise and creme brulee.

One of my favourite eating places. The limited menu was good and the food as always excellent. Staff friendly and polite. Had afternoon tea which was very nice.

Good food at a good price in a great location

We attended as a group of 13 people. The food was fantastic given that we were a large group. The servers were quick taking our order (we had preordered, but someone had lost the list), but we had to constantly flag down the servers to order more drinks. The biggest downside was the lack of atmosphere. Was nice being near the doors at the top but there was no music or background noise of any kind.

Great views and interior. Came here for lunch on a Friday so it was nice and quiet. Food was very tasty but portions weren't too great on the salmon starter. Other than that, our experience was fine and we did really enjoy the food so will be coming back.

Our 2nd visit here. Ideal for pre show dinner We sat upstairs, which looked across the estuary. They have a varied menu. So plenty to tempt. They also have a wide range of coctails.

5* all the way - breakfast was outstanding, not to mention service and venue to beach. Service with a smile, despite our challenges of extra butter, side plates, toast served separately!

Tried to get a table on a Saturday afternoon, the staff downstairs couldn't tell us if we could eat, we went upstairs, at least 3 members of staff about, and not one paid us any attention, even though they saw us waiting to be seated, and the restaurant was quiet! No atmosphere at all. Won't bother trying again

Great place for a Sunday lunch. Good food, lovely staff, nice atmosphere. Only negative.....not the right glass for the drink. Port served in a whisky glass 😔 not a schooner.

Basics like steak and chicken were cooked well but under seasoned .seems like chef is good but has given up . Waiters need retraining service was appalling so didn’t leave a tip.

Been meaning to have a meal here for a while as we are local. Food was good, service wasn’t. Staff looked fed up and stressed, waitress kept trying to take my plate away when I was still eating! Felt rushed. I wouldn’t return for that reason.

It was a nice place, busy but nothing to do there though but it was enjoyable to sit and relax.

Ordered steak but didn't have steak I ordered they gave me another one and asked for medium rare I got rare any rarer would have a heartbeat, my partner ordered king prawn pasta and when it was brought out it looked ground up bits of meat not prawn in sight!? We questioned the staff and told they didn't have prawns so just send crab out instead no choice conversation just here you got, my partner had a few bits didn't eat anymore of it looked disgusting. All around terrible experience never shall eat at that chain of restaurant again very disappointed was expecting a quality experience, they did take the charge off for partners meal.

Awful frozen food. Cold greasy chips but premium prices. Salad looked days old and wilted Staff were deflated and seemed stressed. Very bad experience for a premium brand. We barely ate any of it. Even my 7 year old wouldn't touch her food

It's just another chain restaurant serving bland ready meals at an extremely premium price Had the rather hilarious vibe of an 80s adult film set with cracks in the paint work dust and cobwebs throughout - even terrible music to complement the whole experience Food was pure grease , was told by a staff member that pasta is all dried. All fish was frozen and tasted like it Windows looking out could do with a clean, if the excuse of it's next to the sea that's why there filthy then maybe clean them more often Even an after meal house whisky tasted of supple nothingness Such a shame but oh well never again

Just had a meal here while on holiday. What a disappointment! We ordered starters & mains, some of our party ordered from the small plates menu for their main course explaining these were for a main as also ordered a starter. To our surprise everything came out with the starters so we had our starters & mains all sitting at the table at the same time??? The Gambas that my husband ordered came as 3 dry prawns??? I’ve never seen Gambas served like this before?? We Then ordered deserts which took 40 mins to arrive. At no point did waiting staff come over to see if we would like to order more drinks. When deserts eventually arrived they were missing the “the Cornish clotted cream” that sounded so nice in the description on the menu. When I mentioned these discrepancies from the menu to the waitress her response was “I don’t know I’m new” All in all a really disappointing experience. we didn’t leave a tip & wouldn’t recommend.

Had the afternoon tea booked in advance. When we arrived we were left standing for a fair while to be seated despite being 5 staff in sight and the restaurant not even half full. We had pre ordered the afternoon tea and were told it would be ready on arrival but this still took nearly an hour to be served (again with the restaurant not being that busy). Food was ok but the afternoon tea was.very expensive for the quality and what you received. Plus they were out of Jam... Despite being the first covers of the afternoon tea availability and being pre-booked. Things also felt a bit chaotic with food and drink orders for other tables being brought incorrectly to our table no less than 4 times.

Really impressed with the atmosphere, friendly welcome and food here. All of our meals were fabulous and would definitely recommend to others. One tiny complaint was that our food was delivered to our tables by a waiter that stood at the end of the table and passed the plates down to us!! No effort on his behalf to put hot plates in front of us rather he preferred to make us work for our dinner, as if he just couldn't be bothered. Had our main waitress not been excellent I would have voiced an issue at the time. As it was we just mentioned at the time of paying and would definitely suggest his standards are worked on.

Went with some friends from work. I ordered a GF Halloumi burger and received a non-GF one. It took an hour and half to sort out our bill. The 3 gentleman that served me/took my order for refill of drink, seemed more interested in my breasts. Not exactly the best service!

Excellent restaurant for French food. Service is very good and food is great.

Stopped by for a "quick" lunch after visiting the pier. Hour and a half before mains served. Baked camembert starter served without bread and no replacement offered when this was pointed out. Mains were tepid and obviously sat on the pass for a long time as my partners fishcake was soggy. Bill was incorrect as fixed price lunch promo hadn't been applied and a service charge had been added without asking. Not even offered to have a drink compped. Nice atmosphere and location, sadly let down by the service.

The atmosphere was lovely, however the service was slow, although we had starters they arrived without the bread, and it was over an hour after arriving before our mains arrived, when they did they were barely warm and seemed to have been sat under a hot plate for a long time, because of the long delay we were left unfulfilled by the meal and very disappointed, they adjusted the bill accordingly but not what we expected from our research

The worst service Inhave ever received in a restaurant. Took 50 minutes and asking waiter if wr could order food and drinks, new people were being shown to their tables and being served quicker. Food was nice, but once again noone came to ask if everything was okay after 3 hours we paid bill and left, we wanted desert but no one came to ask, we only brought 1 drink when we ordered, it was very quiet in there so no explanation of why staff were not asking if we wanted drinks or deserts. We went to another restuarant nearby and ordered desert and drinks! Really appalling service.

Great bar to soak in the sun and watch the world go by.

This is an iconic restaurant just back from the beach along the main promenade. When the weather is good, it's a great place to sit outside to eat and drink. However, there is also plenty of seating and tables inside. The view is exceptional, and well worth the slightly higher prices. The menu is predominantly French, and it is truly excellent, well cooked and presented. Whilst not the cheapest of places to eat, there are some fixed price options. The wine selection is very good, if a little on the pricey side. Service is always good; and the staff do try their hardest to ensure that everyone has a good time. Suitable for couples or larger groups.

Food was really nice here and the staff were very helpful, even though they were short staffed. The downside for me was they didn’t have an allergy menu, so I could see what was in each dish. It got quite embarrassing, having to keep asking the staff. Can you check if I can have this dish or that dish

Great Service from Danny who was really fun to interact with. Food was cooked to perfection with everything tasting amazing. Only down side is the traffic noise. You just don't want to hear cars and motorbikes revving their engines whilst you are having a meal.

WHAT A JOKE. AVOID especially if you have young children. Visited multiple times over the years but this is definitely the last. ZERO star rating from me for my lunch time visit on 6 May. The staff completely deprioritised us from the very begining. We were 5 adults and 1 toddler. After we finished our starters we waited for over 40mins. I chased when I saw tables arrived after us had their meals. The manager (Claire?) then asked if we had finished our starters (you joking? It's been 40 mins since we did) and tapped away on her screen. She informed the kitchen to start making our mains after 40 mins of us waiting and during that time none of the staff noticed we have finished(!!??). My poor 2 year old had not had anything to eat and it was 1.45pm. When I talked to the manager to express its unacceptable she was rude and simply asked if I wanted to cancel the food. If they wanted us to tell them when we have finished our starters they should have let us know!(Unheard of in a restaurant) Would have walked out if it wasn't for my 2 years old who needed lunch and had wheat allergy so I cant just go out and grab something easily. I gave her her snacks after realising what's happening and so she wasn't even that hungry when the meal finally came. Their negligence and incompetence made a 2 year old wait 40 mins for her meal. And no the restaurant wasn't the most busy and other tables were served. Funny enough someone came to ask if we had everything after serving 3 adult meals and my baby clearly had nothing in front of her still!! Despite offering a discount the manager was rude and no one apologised the whole time neither.

Always had a brilliant experience here. Danny is absolutely amazing at their job and never fails to go the extra mile. 10/10 would recommend to anybody. We love the fillet steak :)

Fantastic puddings. Service was excellent - in particular Danny who was very attentive and helpful.

The location is great, if you decide to dine here the views upstairs on a sunny day are stunning! Drinks downstairs are also still lovely, the big glass windows make for a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. The food from the set menu was nice, no complaints, it was all fresh, hot and good quality, although I do feel The Ivy set menu is better value, and would choose that over this, which is why it’s lost one star. Also ensure that you download the app and collect the points! The place was clean, and pleasant, the atmosphere was a little stale and could have done with some music while dining as there was only 3 tables eating and created an atmosphere where everyone could clearly hear eachothers conversations.

There seems to be fewer delightful experiences to enjoy quality food and drink whilst watching the sun set over the beach and beyond the pier at Weston, particularly since I was afforded a warm welcome from Ben and friendly but impeccable service from Hannah and Nat. I enjoyed the piping hot carrot soup followed by the parmentier cottage pie, rounding off with a delicious cheese selection. The venue is tastefully decorated, airy and boasts a relaxing atmosphere. I suspect that this may well become one of my regular places to unwind.

Had a nice evening with friends. Our waiter was Danny and he was lovely. We had a slight issue with the bill but he was really friendly and sorted the problem straight away.

The 2 out of 5 was because they gave us a window table. The service was ok. The food was poor. Crab linguine was dry and lacking any crab flavour. Olives were uninteresting, mushrooms on bread was just passable and all very poorly presented. Left half the food. Paid the bill. Walked out. Won't be back.

We had cancelled a booking due to bad reviews but then decided to pop in as it is a traditional place for us to visit when in Weston. We were welcomed by Claire who was so lovely and welcoming. Food was excellent, well presented and hot. So glad we did visit. We couldn't have a window seat but our table still had an excellent view. All staff very friendly. Good choice on menu.

The food is a let down. I had the seabass. Id asked if the mussells could come minus pancetta, but was told that wasnt possible as it comes in a bag. Been here many times unwillingly and it doesnt get any better.had the bread was asked if we wanted garlic in the butter for an extra £1. I mean how much garlic would i get for £1??? The butter without garlic came out of the freezer i think, unspreadable on a hot bread. The seabass was the only hot part of my main..the rest must have sat around a while...but even worse the 'roasted butternut squash' was raw and inedible.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at Bistro Pierre. The fries I ordered arrived cold and were excessively greasy, leaving a lot to be desired in terms of freshness and taste. They also had a pervasive smell of old, used oil, which was quite off-putting. This was not what I expected from a place with such a good reputation. I hope the kitchen can address these issues for future diners.

We had a lovely experience from the welcome, service throughout the meal and the food! The roast was very tasty and plenty of it. Desserts were delicious! Great atmosphere and the staff especially Danny who was very kind and helpful! Thank you we will definitely be back 🤩

What a great place for Sunday lunch, superb views over the sea front, friendly and professional staff and food was excellent, in particular the roast potatoes . Prices were what you would expect. I would highly recommend.

The first impression we had was walking past and seeing staff members smoking and drinking alcohol by the back door. I appreciate not all work places have separate staff rooms. But this was off putting. When inside there was nobody around to greet us. Once seated the service was terribly slow given they only had a several other tables of diners. We have eaten here before hence the return visit but the standard of some of our meals ordered were terrible. My fish cake was rock hard Luke warm with what resembled a hard boiled egg rather than a poached egg accompanying the dish. It was impossible to get the attention of the floor staff as they were mostly nowhere to be seen. There was a time when this was a fun place to visit with delicious food and good service and it’s a shame that it has in my opinion deteriorated so much. There’s also a 10% service charge added to the bill which was not justified by the overall experience. Let’s hope in these difficult times for the hospitality industry it does something to up its game.

Amazing food and great service by the staff, would go again

Visited approx 4 30 Easter Saturday , bar staff whilst smiling was obviously too busy to serve two couples whilst sorting cutlery etc. When eventually served the price for 2 pints, a vodka with twice as much coke as requested, and a wine came to £33. Both the mens and ladies toilets where blocked and disgusting, the staff did not seem interested.

Not the best experience on this visit. Bistro pierre has a lovely inviting atmosphere and on a nice day the outlook is quite pleasant. The food this time, let bistro pierre down. The starters were great, full of flavour and presented well. Unfortunately the main meal arrived cold, not even tepid. Side orders were also cold. This was mentioned to the staff on duty. Neither of us ate our main meal. It was such a disappointment. We didn't stay for dessert.

We have eaten here before and had a beautiful meal but this time sadly not. The beef on the 3 course easter lunch was so fatty and tasteless. The vegetables also very bland. Extremely disappointed.

We weren’t customers today . .. but my little boy had a fall I ran in there ( closest place to where he fell) asked for some ice and Claire kindly helped me and kept checking he was ok! Then as he was so upset Claire and Richard / 1 more member of staff came out with an ice lolly for them both!! My little boy automatically stopped crying and loved his treat 🥰 My daughter was also so happy she wasn’t left out and got her own 🥰 Felt very welcome from the minute we walked in and they were all so kind and caring towards me, my children and my mum. Thank you so much for today you 3! So lovely to know that there is still such lovely caring people in this world 🌎 Will definitely visit again soon under Better circumstances :) Take care and Happy Easter 🐣

Lovely place great view and friendly team. Food and drink offerings missing the final touch. We went for a set menu and french onion soup was lukewarm not great looking either. Calamari is tasty but small portion. Main we had chicken and steak. Chicken was ok but presentation was missing even the french beans ends wasn’t cut off but dauphinois potatoes was very tasty , same with steak main and fries were not hot. Dessert was tasty chocolate pot & creme brûlée. I had a mocktail cause i was driving. On the menu berry spritz it looked tastier but when it arrived it was like Wetherspoons style no fresh berries as it was described just cranberry juice a lot of ice and lemonade mixed in a glass. The lunch waitress was fabulous though very efficient and smiling. Possible if they push the food & drink presentation a little better this would be the best place in the area for sure.

The 6 course taster menu was absolutely delicious 😋 really enjoy it. And we got to watch the sunset too, perfect

Having telephoned several days ahead to not only book the table but inform the restaurant of my partner being disabled and that we would like a bottle of Prosecco on arrival, and that it was his Birthday too. We arrive to find the restaurant is upstairs, luckily a lift was available but at booking was not told this. No Happy Birthday or ordered bottle arrived. The manager took us to the far side of the restaurant where to get there involved me pushing a wheelchair and moving furniture. I also had to ask him to remove a chair from our table as a wheelchair was needed instead. So bottle of Prosecco ordered and a glass of arrived…. Errrr so manager went to get bottle and barman opened it at the bar not in front of me nor did he offer for us to taste it first….ok so food was not great for the price attitude was not good. A sultry refund of said bottle off the bill was all that we got. Even on discussion with Manager not once did he seem bothered at all. A couple also dining in front of us were not impressed either and the Wife is a Food Writer!!!! Oh dear……. Congrats to Bistrot Pierre for a real Birthday blunder

This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. Meal was excellent and cooked to perfection, well presented and very tasty. Lovely surroundings and excellent views. Would love to return if in the area again, and wouldn't hesitate to visit Bistro Pierre in other areas.

Not many people in the restaurant, but it took a while before we could place our order, although we hadn’t booked, so not too bad. The waitress was lovely and deserves a mention. Sadly, we found the so called, ”hot” food either warm or cold, apart from the vegetables, which were lovely and hot. However, the food tasted great, it was badly let down by the temperature, We paid £50+ for the set menu and 2 cold drinks, but it was not worth it at all. The last time we went there, everything was superb, but it appears that the standards, especially food wise, has gone down somewhat. So, no return from us.

Floor to ceiling windows offer views of the seafront and gorgeous light even when it’s grey and miserable outside. Had only been to the Mumbles Bistrot Pierre previously but was pleased to say this is very much in keeping with our experiences there - nice decor, friendly staff and great value set menus. Daughter had the kids meal which is brilliant value (£8.95 for three generous child friendly courses) and we had the afternoon tea which at £21.95 with a cocktail/glass of fizz I also believe is excellent value. Sandwiches were cut fresh (hate crispy ends where they’re old ones) and there’s usually a cake I don’t like but these were all pleasing. Went with my Mother in Law and she was impressed too and has mentioned going back and taking friends etc, so thumbs up from all three of us. Will happily return.

Our first time here, excellent all around,food , service, cost,we will be back and highly recommend Bistrot Pierre.
