Staying at the Celtic Royal again we decided to treat ourselves! Slightly put off by seemingly expensive menu but the portions were amazing and food cooked to a really high standard. And then, the puddings! Amazing choice and absolutely delicious! We’ll be back - I hope!

Very high standard of food, be it a sandwich or dinner in the evening. I've been many times and keep going back because the food is faultless. Excellent high standards

Called in on a rainy Sunday evening - excellent choice of dishes in the Bistro. When the food arrived, we were very happy with the standard - it was well cooked and piping hot. Lots of vegetables and salad as sides and generally delicious. There was too much for us but that's not a complaint., Staff were lovely and very helpful. They seemed as if they were enjoying their work. Have already recommended this bistro to family who live locally.

Ate lunch here today and how perfect it was. Mini fish and chips for the kids and the most amazing soup and sandwich for me. Excellent service from the staff and reasonable prices will definately recommend. Celtic you are brilliant!

We as a family visit quite often. Sunday carvery, light lunch, evening meal, but I have never reviewed. The fact we come quite often sums it up I think. Always good food. Friendly staff, and a comfortable atmosphere. The Sunday carvery is tasty and hot. Nothing is too much trouble when we visit with grandchildren . Good choice in the evenings, with good choice of veg

We’ve dined with Antonella and Luke 4 times now, and each time has been a beautiful and memorable experience. With my recent coeliac diagnosis, it has been easy for Luke to adjust the menu as there is hardly any gluten to begin with, but we so appreciated the attention to detail and the thorough decontamination of the kitchen. Passion and dedication run through everything these two do. An unexpected gift of their persimmon Kimchi, was eaten the next day, savouring the exquisite flavours…. Foraging, fermentation and the best ingredients lie at the heart of this experience. And of course, they are dog friendly! Extra nice to treat our beautiful friend to this experience…. See you soon

Had lunch here a few days ago with friends. We were given a lovely warm welcome, coats taken and shown to our table. Great choice of food, with full explanations of all dishes given if required. I can not fault any part of this experience, the young trainees worked very hard to make sure everything went well. The staff were all very professional and it would have been easy believe you were in a “proper” restaurant. In fact I have had much worse food and service in many restaurants! Very generous portions of food, very well presented and good service. Excellent value when full price but we were lucky to go when a 2 for 1 offer was on. I can definitely recommend and will without doubt visit again soon. Thank you and well done to the youngsters.

Had a two night stay here over the weekend of the 6th Sept and what a wonderful little place it is. Emma and Menno were the most welcoming, friendly hosts and we immediately felt like this was a home from home, our room was very cosy and complete with home made Welsh cakes that went down a treat with a cup of tea after the long drive. The breakfasts were amazing and with the added twist of a Dutch breakfast option courtesy of Menno. The tea rooms are currently closed allowing for a lovely spacious breakfast room which is decorated with photos and keepsakes from all over the world. Emma gave us pointers on the local eateries and places to go and even filled up our water bottles for us when we went out on our hike. This is a fantastic base for walking with easy access to both the Rydd Ddu, and Snowdon Ranger paths up Snowdon as well as having several lakes and close by to the Nantile Ridge. Ty Mawr is currently up for sale which is a shame because we would definitely stay again. Thank you Emma and Menno for giving us a really lovely stay.
