Breakfast was tasty, with plenty of food. Bacon was nice and salty. Sausage was fantastic. Hashbrowns had a nice golden crisp to them. Kids hotdog was a normal hotdog, as expected. Fish and chips was great. Non of the food was greasy or over cooked.

Mixed review here. I ordered sausage and bacon baguette as a snack to tide me through the rest of the afternoon. Two sausages and four rashers in a big baguette! Lean bacon, cooked perfectly, non greasy. Very tasty. Coffee was freshly ground, and excellent quality, and outstanding value for money. Server was attentive and friendly. 4 to 5 stars so far! The café was a bit dismal inside, simple menus, unpretentious furniture. Outside was next to the road, and arcade, and seemed to attract a number of smokers when we were there, which spoilt the experience (but is of course outside the cafe's control).

This is my second visit & once again I wasn’t disappointed. Had the small breakfast and it was a good portion bigger than I thought it would be. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Service is quick and very clean. Would definitely recommend this place..

We visited here for lunch after seeking shelter from the rain. We were attracted as it was advertised as dog friendly - great! The staff were friendly enough and we were seated comfortably away from the cold. They have a nice selection of food available. I ordered the adults chicken nuggets and chips: the nuggets were quite plain but tender, however, the chips were a big too greasy. Overall, it’s convenient if you’re bringing your dog, but not too sure if we’d go back again.

We visited Great Yarmouth over the Easter weekend. The weather was not very nice and we needed the find somewhere for lunch. Because we had our dog with us, we looked for somewhere with outside seating. When we saw the dogs allowed inside sign, we were sold straight away. We did not have to eat outside in the cold, yay. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was clean and warm. Our food arrived reasonably quickly and the price was reasonable, for the same reason, we did not have big expectations. Our kids had adult nuggets and chips. The quality of the nuggets was ok. A bit dry and cardboard ish. We expected that given the price. The sausage and chips were also ok. The medium code was a nice size and tasted quite nice. Texture was a bit corse but ok. It was only let down by the tartar sauce which had a best before date of Jan 2017. One year and 2 months out of date. The staff were nice and I did not have the heart to tell them. Maybe people locally do not like tartar sauce. Overall, it was ok. We ate in the warm. We would consider going back (because it is dog friendly). I think average is a fair score. You get what you pay for as you are limited if you have a dog with you and the weather is not very nice.

Went here as a family of 5 for dinner. Was very disappointed. The burgers were cold and tasted like cardboard. The chips were all speckled black with the chef even saying they’re not very nice when he served us them. They were like eating a greasy sponge. Overall, the only edible things were a hcup of tea and cans of drink. We asked for a refund as couldn’t eat anything but only got part refund. Ended up taking kids elsewhere as they were starving. Avoid

First impressions on looking at this cafe from the seafront were that this looked like a nice cosy little place to eat. TIP #1: Don't always trust first impressions!!! Although it was Friday evening our party of 4 got seated straight away and chose our meals - not a massive selection but the prices seemed reasonable. The prices for the kids meals on the board outside differed from the prices on the menu. As I approached the counter to place our order it looked as though the bomb squad had just left - it didn't appear to be dirty but it just looked untidy. The girl who was stood there on her mobile phone, oblivious to her customers, didn't inspire confidence either so I didn't bother to mention the discrepancy in prices. The one till they had was broken and bills had to be added up on a calculator. After our order was taken the girl disappeared to the kitchen which also served the adjoining fish and chip takeaway. We weren't brought any cutlery or serviettes and had to find everything ourselves. To be fair, the food didn't take long to arrive and when it did it was good. The cod and chips didn't look too appetising but I was pleasantly surprised. The brown sauce in a grotty looking squeezy bottle had the consistency of brown water and was disgusting. My wife was waiting for a side order of curry sauce and she was told it was on its way (presumably from India as after a 5 minute wait it wasn't on its way at all). She approached mobile phone girl behind the counter who clearly had a poor grasp of basic English as she started writing down another order and didn't really know what curry sauce was. Looking around at the other tables it seemed as though we weren't the only diners experiencing issues with our orders but no-one was complaining about the actual quality of the food. The whole place seemed to be very disorganised and the staff were pretty much doing the bare minimum and nothing else. TIP #2: This cafe has an open front to the outside seating area - don't sit near the front doors unless you want to experience passive smoking on a par with a pub smoking shelter on a Saturday night. Overall verdict: I imagine this place could be a cracking little cafe but it isn't, the food was OK but we probably won't return here.

We went twice for lunch. Very friendly staff. I had chilli (on both visits) and it was fantastic. Hubby had sausage and mash and I would say the sausages weren't nice and the mash needs lots of seasoning. Everyone else enjoyed their food.

I ordered a simple cream tea from the chalkboard sign and a coffee. I was given my coffee and told tea would be served at table. I waited and when it came it was 3 of the tiniest scones which tasted like cheap dry ones. The clotted cream was more runny than milk.I had to ask for a pot of tea as they forgot it and then even had to go back and ask for milk and a cup which to the foreign girl took me 5 min to explain. I had to show her in the end. The tea and coffee were okay.

Family of 8 came here for a late lunch, the tables that were empty had the previous occupiers plates left. The flood was dirty with dropped chips food. The service to order the food was incredibly slow. When the food did arrive we were missing bits - bread and butter - salad garnishes for the jackets. The jacket potatoes were not cooked properly and were not the tastiest. Portion sizes were good.

4 of us ordered a large sized breakfast, very enjoyable good sized portions, the hash browns were the best I have ever tasted, this breakfast served to keep me going All day. What can you say about breakfast really, it was a nice clean place, they serve food outside as well, at bistro tables, the staff have to be very attentive to clearing the tables outside quickly because of marauding Sea Gulls. So well done for providing a very satisfying full breakfast, I could & would recommend this place,Thanks to all concerned for a pleasant experience.

Whilst at the seafront we stopped at the Bistro for a bite to eat, and thought that the deal advertising fish and chips for £3.50 was very good value. We found a table and went up to order, which took a long time, about 25 minutes, however we overheard one of the staff members say that they were short-staffed and they hadn't envisaged having the amount of customers due to the poor weather. After half an hour, the food finally arrived. Portion sizes were excellent and very filling. One member of my party had the fish pie which would have served two people. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as it looked - very tasteless. It came with peas which didn't have any salt on them so were also not great. However the other meals (the fish and chips and the kids chicken nuggets) tasted good. The staff were all very polite and pleasant.

Floors were covered in food, tables were not clean, even though they were clearly empty for some time. They have a strange order of taking food from the chippy next door and plating it up then going back for peas and extras after they haveserved your food?!? Why they can't be served together is beyond me! The fish was just batter with a small bit of fish in the middle and the peas were really thick and congealed?! The coffee and tea were both cheap and after looking at other reviews of Yarmouth eateries it seems we drew the short straw!!

Unfortunately you have to give at least one rating.. however I would completely avoid this place.. we had no choice as it was pretty much the only place open. The presentation of the place wasn't overly brilliant however there were a few other people in there. We ordered and service was quick.. all good until about midnight that day when my partner didn't stop throwing up etc turns out to be food poisoning but it is clearly due to this place considering it was the only place we ate that day.. thank you to this place for ruining what was a nice holiday. He is now bed bound in the place we are staying. Don't go here if you want your day ruined.

Until I visited 'The Bistro' I didn't realise it was possible to get fish & chips - especially seafront/seaside fish & chips - quite so wrong. But this place manages it! Their fish is literally one of the worst things I have ever put in my mouth. Flat, pale, limp, tasting only of deep-fried flour. Chips? They were hot. But then they looked as if they had been cooked repeatedly, over several weeks so no wonder. They somehow even managed to make the cheese sandwich for my 3 year old look unappetising!Throw in the grubby carpet and toilet that opens straight onto the eating area and you've got a winner!!But!! The curry sauce was nice...

Stopped at this disgusting place today, 15/02/16 My friend and I were doing a delivery and thought we would stop for a bit of lunch and as the season had not started fully we did not expect much to be open, we came across BISTRO CAFE AND DINER... what a big mistake that was, the food if you can call it food was just dreadful and disgusting, my friend had the fish and chips and I had scampi...for what we were charged for this muck, they should be CLOSED DOWN.The fish was a piece out of a prepacked meal you get like birds eye!! it was soggy and the chips were about 3 days old.. the scampi all 6 pieces for 6.95 plus 3 day old chips was a disgrace, you have a cook there (SACK HER) as she can not cook for the life of her seriously, You do have lots of customers who are NOT FUSSY!! the SEAGULLS!! as they can eat any S**T... Thank you for tripadvisor as with out this site who would have the chance to say how it is!! I can say in all honesty what a disgusting place this is and the people who rated are VERY easily pleased if they think the food is good there! who you had the nerve to serve old chips and crap fish is beyond me, I am struggling to even comprehend such awful food. I think the owners know who we are as we were the only two to order a takeaway and if they had any self respect they would refund us for such appalling food ...if you can call it food, I personally call it unfit for human consumption and that is being honest..Visitors avoid this place at all costs and go elsewhere as we have both been sick from both ends....YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO EVEN BE ALLOWED TO TRADE. I rated a 1 star but it is a zero, also I rate it nasty eats.

Rocked up at about 5:30 on a Thursday night with a group of 12 possibly expecting to be turned away. Instead we were allowed to rearrange the tables to fit us all together. Food and drink came to less than £8 per person. Everything was freshly cooked, only issue would be that they brought out all of the adult meals before the children's. Personally I would prefer it the other way around.

Went to haven for the week and tried this pub the burgers was still raw and got free desserts for this. So we tried again as hoped it was a one of and had the Sunday roast which was very nice really enjoyed it. So we went a 3rd time and had the burger again and I'm sorry to say it was raw again and the family we went with there chicken was raw. It seames the manager is happy to apologise and offer free desserts but they need have have words with the people cooking the food as its shouldn't happen again. And raw chicken is a big no

Food was nice and on time, but not all the items were available. I ordered food for myself and wife and only my wife’s drink was delivered. I had no contact by just eat or costa to give me the chance to order something different. I just had a note on the receipt stating they were unavailable and to claim my money back through just eat which will be reviewed in the next 7 days…. Overall not great.

Just ate with my wife and her dad and his wife. The food was absolutely fantastic, we came for breakfast which is reasonably priced uses good quality ingredients and wasn’t greasy at all. One of the best cooked breakfasts I’ve had and certainly the best in the area.

From the moment we walked into this restaurant we were greeted by very friendly helpful staff. Karolina, Sam & Jennie, thank you for providing us with first class service! The restaurant was well presented and there was a great choice on the menu. Our food arrived promptly, presented well and was delicious. The staff were attentive throughout. We even returned the following day for breakfast which was also well cooked and delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
