Bistro Baristo in Southampton

Lovely little spot, sat out in the sun for breakfast and it was a delight. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was first class, would love to come back.

Most of the time I eat out during lunch time and I know most cafeterias around the city centre. Bistro Baristo is the best my far. Welcoming and clean, serve delicious coffee and food, have nice interior and outside space. They recently changed the menu, offering intreating meal choices (i.e jacket potatoe with whipped feta cream and sumac spices). Highly recommend, 5 out of 5!

Een gezellig zaakje met lekker ontbijt. De koffie is ook lekker. Eerst rustig een plekje kiezen en dan aan de balie bestellen. Alles wordt dan aan tafel gebracht. De wc is ook schoon.

Stopped by on the off chance. Temporarily obscured by scaffolding so we count ourselves really lucky to have happened on such a super place. Lovely clean, bright, friendly cafe. I really enjoyed my English breakfast and my partner equally enjoyed her pannini. Nice tea and coffee. Dog friendly and the nice waitress was keen to bring him a bowl of water.

We came across this bistro as we'd arrived too early for our ferry and we are so pleased that we did - we will probably arrive early so we can visit again before our next ferry trip as it was so good! It was very welcoming and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious, just what we were after. If we weren't heading on holiday we probably would have stayed longer and visited again as there was a lot on the extensive menu that sounded tempting!

My wife and I have just polished off a full English breakfast in this really nice little cafe. The service and the staff are really nice and the food was exceptional, surprising as they are not English themselves. This is a lovely cafe that offers a good range of food, drinks, cakes, it also overlooks the Isle of Wight ferry terminal and has a nice outside area. Perfectly situated for people at the bottom of town and shipping travellers, it is clean and modern and would most suit young couples or young families.

Well cosy place. Great place to have a hot drink away from the bad weather. Had the best milkshake ever.

Lovely little Bristro about 10 mins walk from the main town centre. Ideal if you don't want the hussle and bustle of the Christmas shoppers. Ordered lunch and drinks which arrived in good time and our food was very tasty and fresh. Great team of staff, very friendly and accommodating.

I go to the café bistro baristo everyday for coffee ☕. The taste of the café is creamy and tasteful .i recommend every one to go and taste the quality of the coffee ☕

Lovely place to come for a quiet breakfast meal or lunch , the food is absolutely amazing and very friendly service from the staff, we work on the cruise ship and is nice to come here every time we dock in Southampton, keep with your excellent service

Very tasty, fresh, cafe-made food. Nice service. It has a fenced exit to the patio with outdoor tables. In good weather, it is comfortable to sit, passers-by do not disturb. Near the city center. A couple of minutes to the park by the water and the playground.

Very good atmosphere. The coffee shop is well decorated, the staff very friendly and serves quality food and bevs. The quality of the coffee is really good, especially if you fancy a good expresso. It has a great outside area, which looks lovely for a hot summer day.

If you need ambiance, clean facilities, inside and outside dining, helpful and kind staff, wheelchair accessible, then look no further. Situated close to the Isle of Wight ferry terminal it is in the ideal spot for all of the major passenger ship terminals and offers a very good example of what you can expect in Southampton. They have a good range of food that includes a full menu of hot and cold options with cakes and smoothies that compliment the smaller appetite. In summary they offer something for everyone.

Me and my friend came for lunch and decided to sit outside in the terrace area. Food was lush and drinks are really reasonable priced. The cafe is really nicely decorated and the staff were all super helpful and friendly and gave us some great recommendations on what to order. Definitely will be back.

Had food here few times and tastes great. The place is very cozy and the staff are amazing. Great customer service, very clean and tidy. Just welcoming and will definitely come back.

We had lunch and were very happy with the very generous Caesar salad (loads of nicely cooked chicken) and the haloumi and falafel wrap, which was filled from end to end, so no doughy ends of wrap to leave over. The lemon shortbread was a bit solid perhaps, but other cakes looked tempting. We didn't try the coffee or tea, so can't comment on that, but there were many customers who seemed to be regulars.
