Bill and Ben ran an amazing service this morning and as a 1st time customer, I was very impressed. Everything is clean, organized and the food was amazing! Thanks guys!

Absolutely fab for Mums day. The food was excellent. The pub was very busy, Nevertheless the staff were simply lovely, they were so busy. They looked exhausted but were still very attentive. We had a lovely young lady serving us. (Elise)? So polite. The price was incredible how they did it three courses for two of you, as Mums eat free. Thank you we will be back.

As a family of 5, we enjoy going for breakfast most weekends for a little family time. Without fail we always come to LB BeefEater, have done for around 5 months! The breakfast is great value for money, with a wide variety of hot and cold, abundance of choice for the littlies. The team are always so welcoming, we've never had bad customer service here! All I'd say is this, the team work so hard to maintain standards and stock, they are consistent and thrive to create exceptional customer service. Thank you!

Management wanted to seem to run off home instead of helping and attitude stunk towards other staff members, rude and stroppy. Smelt eggy in there too not sure if it was him

Following a surprise visit from our eldest granddaughter we were able to book a table at short notice and take her out for lunch. At the Birmingham South Beefeater we had a warm welcome and were sat down with our menus. Following a sensible yet reasonable time we had our order taken by Elise. Drinks followed by our food was served, again by Elise. The food was hot, well prepared, and looked appetising, though I consider the portions to be small compared to other local hostelry. In all, an enjoyable experience. Our service by Elise was impeccable, thank you...

Amazing place and wonderful staff Especially Billy

Came in for a meal last weekend for my birthday. Only planned to stay for food and a couple of drinks but ended up staying till late because of the lovely service of Ellesse and the talented barman Billy. Went for a meal with my family this evening, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, billy went above and beyond. The food was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely evening dinner with family made even better by Abi our waitress. Food was tasty although it could have been hotter.

The last two times I have dined here, Billy has served us. He goes above and beyond to help. He has fantastic customer care, and I really hope the management appreciates him. Thanks Billy!

We went to this Beefeater at longbridge on 22/02/2025 . First off we waited 10 minutes to be seated even though it wasn’t that busy and staff were standing around chatting with each other . Had to keep my coat on as it was very cold in there . My wife noticed our food was on the shelf and had sat there for at least 5 minutes. This is when she called a waitress over who had already walked past food and was cleaning a table . She apologised my wife just said if it’s cold it’s going back and we want fresh hot food. The food was actually ok . We asked for the bill which took another 10 minutes, all we wanted to do at this point is get home to a warm house . We will not be going back , the manager was aware of all this but really was not bothered in the slightest.

Arrived for breakfast per booked table. No plates available for the continental and no pastries. No condiments for the pastries. Cold pancakes. Tea cups were dirty. Had to wait 45 minutes to order cooked breakfast then took ages to come. Meant to be all you can eat but by time arrived wouldn’t have been able to order anything else even if wanted to because kitchen closed! Very disorganised and rather disappointed. Would not go again

‘L, or Elle’ whatever her name is, brown skin waitress with black lip liner who was on shift today 20/02/2025 at 12:20. Horrible customer service. failed to acknowledge us but acknowledged everyone else who came after us. We even had to walk out without being served and when i asked what her name was she became rude. Not sure if thats even her real name so i had to describe her she has short curly hair. Sort it out and hire proper staff

We went on valentine's weekend, The food was excellent, service very good. Staff excellent, perhaps it could have been a bit warmer as a couple behind complained of being cold, we were by the window so you will be colder, perhaps make turn the temp up on cold nights,

**Review for Longbridge Beefeater** I recently had breakfast at the Longbridge Beefeater with a group of five, and unfortunately, we were left dissatisfied with our experience. Our main complaints centered around the long wait time for the cooked items to arrive. When they finally did, some items were incorrect. For instance, I requested poached eggs but received fried eggs instead. Additionally, the black pudding was still gooey in the middle and tasted bland. I didn't want to wait another half hour to correct this, so I just ate the fried eggs and left the black pudding. Another member of our group had scrambled eggs, which were prepared in such a way that left excess liquid on the plate, making other food items soggy. There was also a shortage of normal tea bags. The staff member had to hunt for some, and to his credit, he did find a few, but only several bags. While we were waiting for our cooked items, we were encouraged to help ourselves to the continental breakfast items, but these were also in desperate need of restocking. Of the two 4-slot toasters, half of one didn't work at all, and half of the other cremated any bread left unattended, regardless of the dial setting. The food we did have from the continental breakfast was of the expected standard. The toilet seats are wooden, which was very disappointing. To top it all off, none of the staff asked how our dining experience was going, not even when we were paying. To improve, I would strongly suggest changing the toilet seats to plastic ones, offering a help-yourself buffet for cooked breakfast items instead of cooking to order, and having staff check in with diners to see how things are going

I've been staying at the premier inn for the past 2 weeks and went to the beefeater every morning for breakfast and it was fantastic. The food Is fresh and so hot when you get it. The staff there especially kerry go above and beyond for you always making sure everything is to your liking. I could never fault this place. Definitely worth going to.

Had a lovely breakfast with my family this morning, staff were very helpful and nice. There was lots of choice for both the hot and continental breakfast. The hot food came out fresh, hot and within a good time. Very nice 😊

Me and my family went there for a dinner. First we were offered a dirty table or a table by the doors. Everytime someone entered or left the restaurant it was freezing cold. We waited around 15 min just to order a drink. This poor waitress was so busy looking after half of the restaurant by herself. Manager looked useless. Delivered our starters and we asked if we can order mains as well After almost 35 min mains arrived and my husband food was completely wrong. We notified the waitress and she called the manager as he was the one that took our order. Coming to the table he acted like his at the wrong table. He said ohh kitchen made a mistake and walked away. At this point my husband just had the food that was delivered to him The money we have spent not worth it. Definitely not be coming back.

Went there this weekend and new manager really seems to be improving the place for the better the lighting is much better the bar less cluttered and overall a much nicer place to have a meal

I visited today with my partner and was served by the lovely Honey. She was incredibly sweet and polite, providing us with outstanding service that made us feel truly welcomed. The service level was exceptional, the food was amazing, and overall, it was a fantastic experience.

The manager is very helpful, good service and competitive prices of food. We had a very good experience and would highly recommend this place.

Visited on the 21st December to have lunch with friends. 3 staff on so had to wait for service. Tables weren't cleared very quickly. Quite a few food items not available (chicken wings, chicken burger, no chunky chips ... )... and the food we did order 3 starters for £15.99 were overcooked - and yet still delivered (dont staff send food back anymore?). Really quite disappointing.

We were a group of 11 for brekky. Helped ourselves to the continental lots of choice. Had to do your own toast which was cold bythe time hot food arrived. Lovely atmosphere staff were friendly and drinks were unlimited. Would go back again

Poor Fraser made an effort to rectify all the issues. Alamera diabolical. To start we ordered drinks alemara didn’t know how to make espresso martinis Eventually sat at table half hour after booking time. Alamera took order, starters never arrived just mains, we ordered white wine which came with no wine glasses. Once our main arrived only 2 of 3 arrived the 2 that arrived were cold and it was another 20 mins until the 3rd persons meal arrived, she didn’t ask how he wanted this steak luckily I went up to complain and spotted the error and corrected it. Poor Fraser was run off his feet with an incompetent Support

Waited 35 mins for a table and then waited a further 1 hour for my food . When it came my main meal came at the same time as my starter. Main meal was cold. Had a soft drink, flat ! There were only 2 members of staff trying to man the bar, take orders, clear tables, won’t be eating here again

Came for lunch, first time visiting really lovely atmosphere the food was fabulous and thank you Kerry for being so attentive and just fabulous service, we will definitely be coming back.

Food was decent for the price. Heating broken, but staff were great as brought us a mini radiator over.

William and Chay were so nice. The heating wasn’t working but they sorted everything. The food was lovely too.

Billy is a really good host. He recommended a top qaulity wine which I really enjoyed. Overall highly recommended especially if Billy is working ask for him !

Just like to say had a couple of drinks with my brother and was served by Billy, what a great member of staff, he was on his own and it was really busy but he took everything in his stride, he was so polite and apologised for the wait which was not his fault. Look after him as they are rare. Well done Billy.

Went for breakfast today normally we go to be greeted by one of the welcoming staff but today when we went in we were not greeted very friendly the person said "I am the new manger and you don't pay after your meal you pay now " not very pleasant at all.

Food was burnt evening meal, Told if I had the same it will be the same , so how come the next table had the same meal and wasn't burnt. So changed my meal and 3rd time lucky they got it right ..

We went for breakfast, had an amazing waitress very attentive. Unfortunately, the manager was lacking and clearly in need of more training, the young waitress was left to welcome customer, take orders, deliver food, deal with complaints, clean tables all by herself, whilst the manager Kerry did nothing to assist her. Hats off to our waitress she deserves a raise and a massive acknowledgement of how SHE managed the restaurant this morning.

Previously reviewed with 3 stars but now lower. Absolutely terrible. The food was wrong, late, bill wrong, service awful, even had to find someone to bring cutlery. Took some leftovers for the dog and he turned his nose up at it. Will NEVER return.

Rude staff. Don't even acknowledge that we had arrived and we're stood waiting for ten minutes. Sour faces that make you not want to be there. Saw them ask the chef if some food was ready and he shrugged his shoulders and pulled a face. Not very mindful.

Went out with 2 others. Paid £75 for a steak that appeared half the size with chips that tasted like basic oven chips, a salmon dish which would've been better cooked at home with shallots that were undercooked, and a gammon steak with peas that tasted cold and undercooked. Ordered a side of garlic king prawns and they were honestly disgusting. No taste and didn't seem fully cooked. Ended up sharing them with company as it would've been a waste to throw away £5 for only 3 prawns. Ordered onion rings but they were forgotten, had to remind staff about them. Then ordered an extra Guinness and took so long to arrive we asked for the bill instead as we were too disappointed for dessert. Then still got charged for 2x Guinness so again had to remind staff and ended up having to wait an extra 10 mins just for a Guinness. Was not busy at all but service was very slow. Very disappointed, won't be coming back. Ended up skipping dessert and going to sainsburys across the road for a cheesecake and it was better quality than all the food at the beefeater put together

Hi Come into beefeater Longbridge quite regularly for drinks and food always seems nice in there and food good, shame there isn't more choice of drinks like ales on tap or bottles. One member of staff though I must say really shines his name is Billy always happy to see you and helpful with a smile always here there and everywhere doing more than one job at a time. This guy needs a medal and should be recognised more for his hard work. Thanks Chris

Service was slow waited around 15mins for service then 40 mins for meal took 15 mins for drinks to come it wasn't even busy then 20 mins before we were asked about desert menu which was minimal for dessert did not order asked for a second drink that took 25 minutes to come after I asked for the bill and where my drink was! Not good value for money 😕 will not be returning

Poor Service at Beefeater Longbridge Regarding my recent experience at the Beefeater Longbridge, Birmingham, on Saturday, 6th October. My wife and I visited the restaurant following an overnight stay at the Premier Inn, and while we were initially impressed with the surroundings, our overall experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, although the restaurant was only around 35% full and appeared to be well-staffed, we had to wait several minutes to be seated, despite trying to catch the attention of the staff multiple times. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes for someone to take our order. After placing our order, we had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, when it did, the order was incorrect. Some items were overcooked, and we overheard other diners expressing similar concerns. The server who delivered the food realized something was missing and said they would bring it over, but by the time it arrived, we had already finished most of our meal. Even then, the order was still incorrect. Additionally, the waitress who took our order seemed aware that she had made a mistake but did not apologize. When it came time to pay, she struggled with the till and directed us to pay at the bar, which felt rude. The manager processed our bill without asking if we were satisfied and did not make eye contact, further contributing to the lackluster service. While it's clear that Beefeater has invested a considerable amount in the Longbridge site, the staff are undermining that investment with poor customer service. Mistakes happen, but basic courtesy and attention to detail should be standard. Unfortunately, this visit was the worst breakfast experience we’ve had at any Beefeater, solely due to the service. Given the circumstances, I would appreciate a complimentary breakfast to make up for our disappointing experience.

The food here is overpriced, apart from the evening and lunch set menus which are good value. Myself and a friend had the 8oz steak on the lunch menu for £10, the meat they used was of a really good quality and the steak was so tender. Chips were double fried and crunchy. We had the unlimited sodas for £3.40 and had 3 drinks each. We arrived just before 5pm to get the set menu. Service was nice, and our waitress spotted our empty glasses and got us refills without us having to ask. I would definitely go back for lunch again with the special menu

Service is very slow. Food was warm ish on arrival and medium rare steak was almost blue. Mixed grill seemed to have been cooked well however, time served under the headlamp certainly didn't improve it. No check backs to see if food is OK. Sat for at least 20 minutes with barely touched food. Even with 40% off I felt utterly ripped off. Won't be in a rush to get back. Wetherspoons is far superior in every aspect.

Visited the beefeater yesterday with the kids and had a lovely meal which was nicely cooked all staff are really pleasant and helpful I would recommend this place for a nice meal out

As our local beefeater has now closed and we had a discount voucher we thought we would try this one. Bit further away but was disappointed. Food was average and not the best value even with discount. Chairs and blinds were dirty. No atmosphere. Staff were nice. It’s not somewhere we will try again. Wished we had tried Herbert’s across the road Beefeater used to be lovely restaurants but felt more cafe or school canteen.

Had a mix grill gammon hard and over cooked ordered medium on the steak and it was way under cooked returned the food sausage wasn't much better won't be returning ordered a Stella took that back the barman did tryed it (not out of my glass just a sample and said didn't taste right.)had another lager lovely the 2 lads serving gave a good service but the kitchen need attention

Well , worse meal we had in Beefeater ! 3 out of 5 of us ended up with bad stomach , being sick about 3 hours after a meal and no we didn't have anything before or after that potentially could be a cause ! Food was awful, small portions , had to send one meal back to kitchen as it was burned and like rubber... Seats were dirty from breakfast everywhere ! Would never return , absolutely awful food , experience and cleanliness!

I went here yesterday, and i really wish i could have a positive review but this is the outcome - rubbish service, rubbish food, deep fried to a pulp, not the cheapest so you'd expect better. I had 40% off but as with anywhere I'm more than happy to pay the price if the food is good, but its not even average and out the 5 of us all were very disappointed. I don't mind the prices but the food isn't great, shame really as the set up and bar/restaurant is nice. On my doorstep as well. But certainly, won’t be returning, not to sure my dog would of eaten the food. Sorry but just so disappointing!!! Has the making to be great but things need to change.

We have eaten here a few times now and we always enjoy the atmosphere, the food is good, perfect med rare steak! we ate in the bar area where Billy the barman is really friendly, our waitress tonight was Elise, she was very attentive and helpful, the puddings are spot on!

Unfortunately very disappointed. Just picked it as staying at the premier inn and it was local. The waiting staff were friendly but no follow up service other than the order. Waited about 40 minutes for 2 burgers, both luke warm and not as described as missing relish ect. The waitress did offer to resolve the issue when we brought it up, but we just ate it. There was only 3-4 tables going at the time, we were opposite the kitchen so I got to see my dish go on several trips around the restaurant and my partners do the hokipoki under the warming light. I would not recommend going here.

On 05/06/24, we went for breakfast and approached the representative in the bar. Even though I had a booking, she was focused on cleaning the counter and muttered under her breath to just take a seat. It was my first time, and I wanted to ask for the protocol, but she simply said to sit anywhere, which was surprising. We politely took our seats and observed her standing at the counter for over ten minutes. After waiting for fifteen minutes with no cutlery or clear instructions on how to order, we decided to leave the restaurant. Thankfully, the customer service at McDonald's was much better. This will be my first and last visit.

Absolutely nothing like it used to be...really disappointed

Unfortunately for our first visit we were not impressed. Drinks order took 20mins which came in chipped glasses. Food came quickly but parts of the order were missing leading to meals being eaten before it was rectified and some meals were cold, re-fires did correct this and came reasonably quick. Even though there were not many guests the staff did seem stressed and understand staffed. Perhaps more staff and staff training may help or management of where guests are seated when working on a small team.

Terrible food. We ordered loaded chips wit our cobb salad. They were cold and we asked for them to be heated up but the topping was awful. Breakfast equally as poor. Overcooked hash brows and rest of breakfast going cold while waiting for replacement.

Food was reasonable but order contained many errors. Service was absolutely terrible and again filled with so many errors. The place was empty and the staff just weren’t attentive. Wouldn’t eat here again.

We had quite a big table order, among other orders there were two 'T' bone steaks, one was perfect but the other one was quite bad, we mentioned it to our waitress and with no prompting or issues they offered either a fresh steak or to take it off the bill. It's refreshing to see positive attitude to dealing with issues rather than having to get a manager and questioning the customer like you see so often nowadays. The rest of the food was pretty good and the service was excellent. Even with the issues with the steak I wouldn't hesitate to visit again because of the way it was handled. Another visit and excellent service again, accommodated nearly 30 of us and dealt with everything really well. Another excellent visit, service was outstanding and food was great. Couldn't recommend it more.
