An excellent meal and service in pleasant surroundings. Waitress service excellent.

Previously reviewed with 3 stars but now lower. Absolutely terrible. The food was wrong, late, bill wrong, service awful, even had to find someone to bring cutlery. Took some leftovers for the dog and he turned his nose up at it. Will NEVER return.

Rude staff. Don't even acknowledge that we had arrived and we're stood waiting for ten minutes. Sour faces that make you not want to be there. Saw them ask the chef if some food was ready and he shrugged his shoulders and pulled a face. Not very mindful.

Went out with 2 others. Paid £75 for a steak that appeared half the size with chips that tasted like basic oven chips, a salmon dish which would've been better cooked at home with shallots that were undercooked, and a gammon steak with peas that tasted cold and undercooked. Ordered a side of garlic king prawns and they were honestly disgusting. No taste and didn't seem fully cooked. Ended up sharing them with company as it would've been a waste to throw away £5 for only 3 prawns. Ordered onion rings but they were forgotten, had to remind staff about them. Then ordered an extra Guinness and took so long to arrive we asked for the bill instead as we were too disappointed for dessert. Then still got charged for 2x Guinness so again had to remind staff and ended up having to wait an extra 10 mins just for a Guinness. Was not busy at all but service was very slow. Very disappointed, won't be coming back. Ended up skipping dessert and going to sainsburys across the road for a cheesecake and it was better quality than all the food at the beefeater put together

Hi Come into beefeater Longbridge quite regularly for drinks and food always seems nice in there and food good, shame there isn't more choice of drinks like ales on tap or bottles. One member of staff though I must say really shines his name is Billy always happy to see you and helpful with a smile always here there and everywhere doing more than one job at a time. This guy needs a medal and should be recognised more for his hard work. Thanks Chris

Service was slow waited around 15mins for service then 40 mins for meal took 15 mins for drinks to come it wasn't even busy then 20 mins before we were asked about desert menu which was minimal for dessert did not order asked for a second drink that took 25 minutes to come after I asked for the bill and where my drink was! Not good value for money 😕 will not be returning

Poor Service at Beefeater Longbridge Regarding my recent experience at the Beefeater Longbridge, Birmingham, on Saturday, 6th October. My wife and I visited the restaurant following an overnight stay at the Premier Inn, and while we were initially impressed with the surroundings, our overall experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, although the restaurant was only around 35% full and appeared to be well-staffed, we had to wait several minutes to be seated, despite trying to catch the attention of the staff multiple times. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes for someone to take our order. After placing our order, we had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, when it did, the order was incorrect. Some items were overcooked, and we overheard other diners expressing similar concerns. The server who delivered the food realized something was missing and said they would bring it over, but by the time it arrived, we had already finished most of our meal. Even then, the order was still incorrect. Additionally, the waitress who took our order seemed aware that she had made a mistake but did not apologize. When it came time to pay, she struggled with the till and directed us to pay at the bar, which felt rude. The manager processed our bill without asking if we were satisfied and did not make eye contact, further contributing to the lackluster service. While it's clear that Beefeater has invested a considerable amount in the Longbridge site, the staff are undermining that investment with poor customer service. Mistakes happen, but basic courtesy and attention to detail should be standard. Unfortunately, this visit was the worst breakfast experience we’ve had at any Beefeater, solely due to the service. Given the circumstances, I would appreciate a complimentary breakfast to make up for our disappointing experience.

The food here is overpriced, apart from the evening and lunch set menus which are good value. Myself and a friend had the 8oz steak on the lunch menu for £10, the meat they used was of a really good quality and the steak was so tender. Chips were double fried and crunchy. We had the unlimited sodas for £3.40 and had 3 drinks each. We arrived just before 5pm to get the set menu. Service was nice, and our waitress spotted our empty glasses and got us refills without us having to ask. I would definitely go back for lunch again with the special menu

We enjoyed meal here yesterday. The food was very good and the waitress that looked after us (Elise) was very friendly and helpful.

Service is very slow. Food was warm ish on arrival and medium rare steak was almost blue. Mixed grill seemed to have been cooked well however, time served under the headlamp certainly didn't improve it. No check backs to see if food is OK. Sat for at least 20 minutes with barely touched food. Even with 40% off I felt utterly ripped off. Won't be in a rush to get back. Wetherspoons is far superior in every aspect.

As our local beefeater has now closed and we had a discount voucher we thought we would try this one. Bit further away but was disappointed. Food was average and not the best value even with discount. Chairs and blinds were dirty. No atmosphere. Staff were nice. It’s not somewhere we will try again. Wished we had tried Herbert’s across the road Beefeater used to be lovely restaurants but felt more cafe or school canteen.

Visited the beefeater yesterday with the kids and had a lovely meal which was nicely cooked all staff are really pleasant and helpful I would recommend this place for a nice meal out

Had a mix grill gammon hard and over cooked ordered medium on the steak and it was way under cooked returned the food sausage wasn't much better won't be returning ordered a Stella took that back the barman did tryed it (not out of my glass just a sample and said didn't taste right.)had another lager lovely the 2 lads serving gave a good service but the kitchen need attention

Well , worse meal we had in Beefeater ! 3 out of 5 of us ended up with bad stomach , being sick about 3 hours after a meal and no we didn't have anything before or after that potentially could be a cause ! Food was awful, small portions , had to send one meal back to kitchen as it was burned and like rubber... Seats were dirty from breakfast everywhere ! Would never return , absolutely awful food , experience and cleanliness!

Well, first time I've had a all you can eat breakfast, Good value, nice and hot, not keen on sausage, but worth a try, Better breakfast then cambridge next door, and value for money

I went here yesterday, and i really wish i could have a positive review but this is the outcome - rubbish service, rubbish food, deep fried to a pulp, not the cheapest so you'd expect better. I had 40% off but as with anywhere I'm more than happy to pay the price if the food is good, but its not even average and out the 5 of us all were very disappointed. I don't mind the prices but the food isn't great, shame really as the set up and bar/restaurant is nice. On my doorstep as well. But certainly, won’t be returning, not to sure my dog would of eaten the food. Sorry but just so disappointing!!! Has the making to be great but things need to change.

We have eaten here a few times now and we always enjoy the atmosphere, the food is good, perfect med rare steak! we ate in the bar area where Billy the barman is really friendly, our waitress tonight was Elise, she was very attentive and helpful, the puddings are spot on!

Staff is very rude, raw chicken steak over cooked and chips still frozen 😑 😒 go to jail you get better dinners. Should close this one down too

Unfortunately very disappointed. Just picked it as staying at the premier inn and it was local. The waiting staff were friendly but no follow up service other than the order. Waited about 40 minutes for 2 burgers, both luke warm and not as described as missing relish ect. The waitress did offer to resolve the issue when we brought it up, but we just ate it. There was only 3-4 tables going at the time, we were opposite the kitchen so I got to see my dish go on several trips around the restaurant and my partners do the hokipoki under the warming light. I would not recommend going here.

Thanks George and Corey for a great visit, service with a smile and colouring pencils for our daughter. Food was good and came out quickly.

On 05/06/24, we went for breakfast and approached the representative in the bar. Even though I had a booking, she was focused on cleaning the counter and muttered under her breath to just take a seat. It was my first time, and I wanted to ask for the protocol, but she simply said to sit anywhere, which was surprising. We politely took our seats and observed her standing at the counter for over ten minutes. After waiting for fifteen minutes with no cutlery or clear instructions on how to order, we decided to leave the restaurant. Thankfully, the customer service at McDonald's was much better. This will be my first and last visit.

Absolutely nothing like it used to be...really disappointed

Unfortunately for our first visit we were not impressed. Drinks order took 20mins which came in chipped glasses. Food came quickly but parts of the order were missing leading to meals being eaten before it was rectified and some meals were cold, re-fires did correct this and came reasonably quick. Even though there were not many guests the staff did seem stressed and understand staffed. Perhaps more staff and staff training may help or management of where guests are seated when working on a small team.

Terrible food. We ordered loaded chips wit our cobb salad. They were cold and we asked for them to be heated up but the topping was awful. Breakfast equally as poor. Overcooked hash brows and rest of breakfast going cold while waiting for replacement.

Food was reasonable but order contained many errors. Service was absolutely terrible and again filled with so many errors. The place was empty and the staff just weren’t attentive. Wouldn’t eat here again.

This restaurant has poor standards.the services they give are not even worth it.the steak was dry.they over charged me and never gave me a refund

Been to beefeater today the crème egg Sundae is delightful and the service is also immaculate Corey the manager Toni front of house Billy these three make me always feel welcome and happy to be there and they are always smiling very professional and will be back again

We had quite a big table order, among other orders there were two 'T' bone steaks, one was perfect but the other one was quite bad, we mentioned it to our waitress and with no prompting or issues they offered either a fresh steak or to take it off the bill. It's refreshing to see positive attitude to dealing with issues rather than having to get a manager and questioning the customer like you see so often nowadays. The rest of the food was pretty good and the service was excellent. Even with the issues with the steak I wouldn't hesitate to visit again because of the way it was handled. Another visit and excellent service again, accommodated nearly 30 of us and dealt with everything really well. Another excellent visit, service was outstanding and food was great. Couldn't recommend it more.

Service at dinner was amazing. Waiter even pulled a heater next to my table. Apologised profusely for missing an ingredient in one of the cocktails. Lots of choice anyway so it wasn't an issue. Good value food, lovely design inside and comfortable atmosphere.

Staff are clearly overworked, we come here once a month or so and every time there doesn’t seem to be enough staff on shift. the cold buffet is always empty, there are dirty tables and floor. it’s a shame that management clearly aren’t investing in their staff.

My my mother been coming here many years. Got to say the standards drop dramatically , only 1 person she running around getting orders drinks . No management around disappeared got my order wrong wasn't her fault as she was on her own . We give it few more times as might change. if not we take our custom elsewhere.

Staff were friendly but took their time to direct me to a table (chatting in the kitchen), I had breakfast today, and most of the food on the plate was lukewarm. I sent it back to be warmed up, and sausages were crumble and not very nice, bacon tastless. Croissants were all out of shape, and they wouldn't bring anymore out. American American pancakes were nice. Toaster took ages to toast the bread.

Was there for 3 days the third day was a disgrace told to go to bar to order food told get own cutlery also brought wrong food that was ordered if you walked in of the street you got full service hotel visitors didnt

Just got back from a Sunday lunch here. Food was ok but the service was shocking. Booked a table for 7 adults and was shown to a table for 6. When we questioned this the server just squeezed an extra chair at the end of the table (because that's all they had apparently) so we took the table and (despite the pub itself not even being busy) we sat with menus for 50mins before I had to ask to someone to come and take our drinks orders as they just kept walking past us. Another 10mins later a girl came over took our food and drinks orders then we waited another 15mins just for our drinks then a further 30mins for food. By this point two of our group had drank their drinks and again we had to ask twice for someone to take another drinks order. The food was ok but listening to chefs shouting at the servers to collect food waiting to be served it was clear why our food was served luke warm. As we waited so long for it we just ate it but the Sunday roast wasn't great - burnt roast potatoes, thick gloopy gravy and hard veg. Also no offer of potatoes like other Beefeaters have. We finished our food and waited another 45mins before I had to AGAIN ask for the dessert menus and the table to be cleared. Nobody came to ask was our food ok, do we want more drinks etc, no attention to detail. Fair enough if they were busy but they weren't, just young staff with clearly zero interest in being there or any attention to detail. Over 3 hours we were there but only because the service was so slow. We've been to several Beefeater chains and never had bad food or service but we won't be returning here again.

I went in for lunch with my mum , we were served by Kristen , honestly hands down the best server , she was such a joy and very attentive she made it a great afternoon for us. As her shift ended 4 tables were singing her praises and waving her out the door, because that is how much of an impact she made on everyone. 1000/10 for her service.

Had fantastic service from the wonderfully cheerful waitress Kristel. She genuinely made our evening meal celebration an entertaining time. Only slightly disappointed with how miserable the barman was. He did not look happy at all, but to his credit, was courteous and professional. The food was fantastic although slightly expensive. It lived up to expectations with ease and was delicious a party of 13 and everyone enjoyed it. Overall a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend.

Place is nice but the food is not good very dry and the beef is hard and cold we ask a sauce they gave us like two spoon full of red sauce and mayo in a little plastic container and two pcs of hp brown sauce hand full of chips each plate very disappointed never go there any more…. Rather buy KFC 25£ is enough for 4 persons dinner..

The rib-eye steak I ordered was cooked exactly how I asked, but it was just about lukewarm. The French fries were cold and hard. My friends' garlic mushrooms were still frozen . My starter was bland ,when they cleared the starter away, they removed our cutlery and did not replace the cutlery when they eventually served the main course. I asked for a knife and fork, but after waiting and not getting any cutlery, I got up and found some myself. Not what I would call a good experience, and I certainly will not be using a Beefeater restaurant again.

Fantastic ribeye steak perfect medium rare.

Had a table booked for 6pm. They kept us stood at the door until 6.15 before seating us on a hastily prepared table as our BOOKED table was not ready for us. We sat down and waited, and waited and after another 25 mins of being completely ignored by staff we left without even being offered a drink. Whilst waiting we watched other tables being served and several other groups complaining due to lack of service or being served the wrong food. After being in the place for more than 40 minutes without even having a drink order taken we walked out and not one member of staff acknowledged us or even noticed we'd gone. Thankfully the hungry horse next door managed to squeeze us in so our girls xmas meal out wasn't ruined! Wouldn't ever bother with the beefeater again. Absolutely terrible management for them to be leaving customers like that and getting so much wrong.

Booked a table for 6pm, waited to be seated for 15mins got seated on a table for 8 and we was only a table of 3. We was waiting for a further 20 minutes and still hadn't been asked for our drink order, we noticed other tables meals were wrong and the servers served tables that had already been served ( the other table had their drinks and meals and was now ordering their puddings) whilst we was sat there with nothing infront of us after sat there for 40 minutes, not one server looked in our direction so we could call them over to be served. So we've walked out and not one server asked if anything was wrong.

Our server was very cheerful and friendly. It's a nice place, clean and tidy. The food was very nice.

I had a ribeye steak, and it was cooked exactly as I had asked for it. The only issue I had was the portion size for the fries and starters, etc were a little small. I was left feeling like I could potentially each another two or three servings

I was looking forward to a birthday party, but I have been waiting too long. The service in here was terrible. They left our food and made it cold. We've been waiting over 2 and a half hours. The atmosphere was outstanding, and the food I was looking forward to was going to be outstanding, but the service was rubbish and absolutely inadequate. I will make a complaint to Beefeater South Birmingham, and I hope they improve their service.

Food was pretty good as was the wine list. Attentive waiting staff. Great chips. Worth a visit for the breakfast and temperamental coffee machine.

Had their smothered chicken for dinner, very tasty and it was a very nice athmosphere for dining, good prices and friendly staff, I`ll definately go back :)

Popped in this afternoon for a few drinks and food with my kids. Only 2 members of staff to serve drinks, run food and clear tables. Both were excellent and went above and beyond, a credit to the company they work for. Always friendly and polite despite being so busy. Food was excellent and a cracking few pints of Guinness. A lovely couple of hours.

There was one member off staff on the day I deside to to attend she was helpful n the being tell us what was and wasn't on the menu then when she brought the drinks out she placed her fingers around the rim off my glass after spray cleaning a table then when the food adventurlly came over it was cold and dry out after leaving it under the heated lamp then we deside to order the warm cookie dough there was no cookie n at all I was given a dish off ice cream and cream n it very disappointing and for these reasons alone I won't be returning to the beefeater n Longbridge

At the entrance I was told that they were not taking walks in,and I needed a reservation to be seated. I've booked online, waited outside and still haven't let me in. The lady wasn't helpful at all even though I've been with kids. Very disappointed

First time here, we was a party of 8 and the staff was amazing and catered to all our needs, the food was brilliant all came out on time will definitely visit again as we all had a really good time there, thank you to the staff member that took our order, credit to her she was fantastic

Went into the Beefeater today as my son had just come home from Holiday and wanted to enjoy a nice meal for Lunch. It was relatively quiet, and we got a seat and the lady that took our order took our order without notes, I asked for a medium rare fillet steak and my son wanted haddock. My son received his meal and really enjoyed it. I received a well-done steak, I do not enjoy well-done. My problem is that my son is Autistic and me calling someone over to complain about the food makes him really uncomfortable to the point he won’t eat, so I continued with the rest of my meal and waited for our serve to return to the table. She did return to the 2 tables next to us to check everything was ok but excluded us, I felt this was very rude. Once my son had finished we waited to order a pudding but not one came to us. We decided to leave and when I went over to collect the bill I was not once asked whether everything’s was ok. I felt that the service was extremely poor and it felt personal as others seemed to receive a great service. I expected more from a Beefeater.

arrived on Sunday lunchtime, we only saw 1 table full rest restaurant was empty, as we checked in we heard them tell couple in front they could only take bookings as short staffed turned them away !! we asked sit in booth which we had choice, but noticed seats full crumbs food wen I pointed this out they said they where busy at breakfast! this point 2.30pm table had clean cutlery for mew customers clearly dident clean seats toilet was grim this point wanted leave,food was average bit bland ,been other beefeater s this possibly worse.

We visited there for unlimited breakfast. We liked it that though it's unlimited, we need to order the hot food, avoids food wastage, and it's so unappetising to see food dumped like garbage and soaking in grease. Overall we liked the idea of ordering for our food. Nice selection of items. The waitress Nicola was awesome, she had a smiling face and did her job so well despite of the place being so crowded. What we didn't like was that there weren't enough staff to cater the demand. All the staff there were overworked, and you can see them stressed out. Management has to think about it, at least on busy days, peak times. Couldn't say anything negative about the taste and quality of the food.

The worst lunch that We have had until today. All food was terrible. We did update for sirloin steak and it came totally roasted and it look like 50gr instead of 230gr

Meet up with my Aunt who was visiting Birmingham, staying at the premier Inn. It was Thursday last week. We were greeted and seated by a lovely hostess and the barman was also serving food due to low staffing level issues. They both worked really hard, Billy was great and looked after us, my Aunt was very impressed and I have to say she isn't easily impressed. I'm not sure the hostess name but they were both fantastic and had great customer service skills. The food was good and the dessert was delicious. Please pass our thanks on... We will be back.

The menu shocking, out of half the food again.

Having travelled from South wales to meet family we decided to have food here. I'm so very glad we did. Despite having problems with the fire alarms, which then resulted in the gas shutting off, the service and food were top notch. Even the family who decided to threaten staff because of the situation didn't affect our experience with the staff who dealt with it amazingly.

Had 4 starters (£16) and 3 steak fillet ,sirloin and rump but could do with indication on each which they were !!! Tried to charge individually for starters though , until I questioned bill ,but changed start away

Sadly once again the service is appalling. Such a shame as it will make us think twice becore coming again. As grandparents we like to treat our family and get together and were so disappointed on Friday evening. We booked for 6.30 pm as we had a wide age range and the service was so slow and we felt very disappointed and my younger grandchild was not only hungry but also tired as it took so long

Went here for a 3pm booking, 3hrs into the Father's day service. Get told that the Father's day meal deal (Sunday roasts) are sold out - 3hrs into the service. Shocking. Service was ultra slow, not the waitresses fault, p1ss poor planning by management, along with ordering enough food for Father's day. Had to constantly ask for service, clear the table, bring steak knives, bill etc. Cousin wasn't allowed to use his blue discount card, even though it is advertised as you walk in...because its Father's day (even though none of us x10, could order the Father's day meal). Poor yet again. Could try to understand if the place was packed, it was empty since we arrived, prob 3-4 other tables while we were there. Always try and support the local business, but won't be here again.

The staff were ok but we had to wait while our table was made ready for us. Cooked breakfast was not very appealing hard fry eggs, cold bacon. No staff came back to us for a check up.

Breakfast chef that works Monday to Friday is amazing .food is always cooked perfectly. I have fussy children when it comes to poached eggs but they love his as they are always cooked to perfection. Best breakfast around by far .the only place we come for breakfast.

Never seen a worker speak to a colleague as bad as I witnessed this guy that works there. Got up in the face of a woman college shouting at her while she served my drink. Had to bite my tongue as didn't want to cause a scene. Didn't catch his name but dark hair shaved side youngish. Absolutely vile person. Won't be returning.

Just had the most incredible experience here. Not only was our late booking welcomed the staff still went above and beyond despite it being near the end of their shifts. Lily was so friendly and helpful taking and accommodating our order requests and Owen cooked the best steaks I’ve had in a very long while. My boyfriend tells me his gammon was also incredible Thankyou so so much you’ve made a stressful deal end on a high

Took an elderly family friend for dinner. Had the most incredible service from our server, Billy, who was amazing with him. Helped him choose, let him try the draught beer before he had a pint, spoke to him and made him feel really included. Just a brilliant experience, we were seated by another staff member who was also lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Good food. Good value. Easy to park. Highly recommended. Thank you!! 😊

Enjoyable Sunday lunch at a very reasonable price. Service was a bit hit & miss but otherwise very good.
