Walmley Spice in Birmingham

Called back to say you guys have a 3.6 rating and he said we are busy and don’t need customers so I will go back to curry pot but I wanted a change

Minimum order 15 pounds when I order for 1 as I like chicken mush jalfrezi with sag and egg fried rice and live 1 mile away but was not asked but have ordered before and had to tell the to make it thicker sauce but did not so tryed tonight but £15 min order not a chance

Twice ordered online, order accepted, waited to the agreed delivery time and then a SMS with order declined arrives. No problem with a refund but ordering 4 hours in advance and waiting is dissapointing and frustrating.

Really gone downhill and very expensive..portions a lot smaller. First time I’ve ever had sprouts in a Biriani !! Sorry to say but will be going elsewhere 👎

I live close to Walmley Spice and have learnt that they were established and continue to be led by their father, a very genuine man, dedicated to providing well prepared, well cooked, and efficiently delivered satisfying meals at all times. Whenever I meet him, which I would like to do more often, he shows great humility and respect to his customers and family. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my takeaways.

Worst takeout ever! Bland, tasteless arrived late and cold. Deserves absolutely no stars.

Really gone downhill with their customer service and deliveries. The last straw has been reached with the single worst encounter I've ever had with a takeaway. Ordered online at 5pm for delivery at 7pm. Reached 7:35pm and the food still hadn't arrived, so phoned and was told it would be with us in 5 minutes. We live only a quarter of a mile away, so when 8pm rolled around we phoned again to be told it was just leaving. 10 minutes later we gave up and my wife went to Walmley Spice's location to see what was going on. The food had been sat in the kitchen for a very long time and they just couldn't be bothered to deliver it. When it was handed over it was stone cold. Asked for a fresh one and was told that wouldn't be possible. Meat dishes put in the microwave for a few seconds so that they were lukewarm. No apologies, no remorse, no refunds. Extremely rude and kept taking phone calls rather than sorting out the problem. Told that we shouldn't have ordered for 7pm delivery as they were busy, despite order being placed two hours in advance, and they wouldn't recook it as other customers were the priority. Took the food home, had to microwave it and it was then basically inedible. A sad demise of a once decent establishment. Would recommend avoiding as there are other good Indian restaurants in the area.

Absolutely awful, looked like they had ran out of chicken so used the chicken pieces you would get in the fridges for sandwiches. Had been previously with a friend and it was quite decent that time but been out off with the last

Order arrived missing some of the things we already paid for, when we phoned back up they said they would deliver what they forgot but they didn't. Also the food was cold.Definitely avoid.

omg!!! what a place to eat!! Fantastic food, great taste. my favourite dish is a chicken korma, so creamy and tasty! I am very impressed with the waiting time always arrives within the time frame given. Food always made to a high standard. Been ordering here now for quite a while will not go elsewhere! Also the staff are really nice always friendly and polite. One word about walmley spice... FANTASTIC! TRY IT GUYS YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! 😀

Have used for many years but my experience last week was not good. Food took an hour to deliver which I can accept, but unusual on the hottest day of the year. Ordered 4 poppadoms only 1 arrived completely in buts, starter was much smaller than before and to be honest chicken tikka tough like it had been microwaved to death onion bhajis well the worst I've ever had and the dopiaza again like horrible flavour and over done meat. Sorry walmley spice not good enough and I won't use again.. plus they owe me for the poppadoms which I didn't receive

Extremely clean & extremely tasty. But unfortunately has stopped taking card making it highly inconvenient for me.

Not impressed. I was told collection. Would be 30 mins, so I arrived 30 mins later and waited and waited and waited, after an hour I was told they had given my food to someone else so they would make it again and it would be just 5 mins........I was given a bottle of Pepsi to say sorry (even though on the menu it clearly says orders over £30 get a free bottle of Pepsi and I had spent £36 so it meant nothing.) When I got home I found the orders were incorrect and items missing. I couldn't be bothered going back as it had now been 1 1/2 hrs since I ordered. Food was bland, missing the usual taste and excitement of curry. One positive was the naan breads were lovely and fluffy and really big. Would I use here again.......no I don't have the time or patience to do that again.

Very poor customer service experience. Wrong order, food cold and greasy, small portions. First and last time using them.

Ordered from here for the first time this evening and it was just what I didn’t want. I’m not sure how the chefs feel about cooking curry’s in the UK but I don’t think the amount of sugar they add to the dishes(to suit bland taste buds)is how they do it originally. We ordered pasanda and chicken tikka masala and all you could taste was sugar, to the point you had to add salt just to try and drown it out. It’s such a shame that it’s changed so much from its original taste and flavour to suit the UK pallet when curry is so much better left as it is and so fully of flavour.

Food good but l ordered a prawn and garlic dish and it was one large prawn butterflied and cost over £4! Extorsionate! Wont buy again! I also ask that my meal be cooked in veg oil because of allergy but they still cook it in Ghee! :(

Excellent curry I've tell everyone about walmley spice chicken tikka masala all day long if you don't go you will never know how good its is look forward for Saturday night treat 👍

Good food and very friendly staff.

Service is fast and friendly with attention to detail and customer satisfaction of the highest level. Reasonable prices too thanks to the other side dishes often included without any charges just to ensure you are happy with preparation time and always generous amount. Hard to beat!

Lovely little place. Take your own alcohol or order soft drinks.

I've probably spent at least £200+ at this restaurant as I enjoyed the food they offered, however, when ordering last night the food was lacking taste, was cold and just not what I expected from somewhere which I order from at least once a month. Calling them up got me nowhere as with ordering from Just Eat I was told they couldn't refund me as it wasn't their problem and I should speak to them. Phoned up Just Eat, they called up the restaurant and they said they wouldn't refund as we hadn't gotten in touch with them right when the food was delivered. The problem with this fact, is that the restaurant hadn't marked the food as delivered and so I couldn't get in touch with Just Eat so I had the privilege of spending £15 and still going hungry. As you can imagine, won't be ordering from here again for any of my Indian needs.

Food was well cooked, enjoyed my biryani, customer service was spot on, will come back again

Excellent food and service Tandoori Chicken the best I have ever had.brilliant won't find it elsewhere
