Food here is always great, staff are great. Problem here is they never have any breakfast items available. It’s always finished. The amount of custom they lose must be unreal. It’s not hard work out Birds. Sort it out

I'm no 'Karen', every review I've ever written has been 5 stars, but not this time... The lady who served me only wore 1 glove when preparing my food, then coughed directly into the palm of her hand that didn't have a glove on, then used the hand with NO GLOVE that she'd just COUGHED INTO to pick up and handle MY FOOD!? She looked at me gone out and in silence when I politely said "you're touching my food after coughing into your hand, could you wash your hands and make me a fresh cob please". No apology or 'thank you, have a good day' after I'd paid for my order and thanked her. I could understand if I was being a 'Karen', but I think this is basic hygiene and customer service. I wouldn't write a review about this in isolation, but as im already here ill add that they were bickering like children about who is serving which customer when there were 3 staff members and only 4 customers to be served. Poor service and hygiene displayed by this staff member imparticular which I know is not a reflection of how Birds usually are.

Staff abrupt and unhelpful when I asked for Beef paste as it was sold out. Continued talking amongst thereselves and were dismissive towards me as a customer...disappointed from Bird's.....

I have to get my son with autism a sausage roll from here most school mornings & the staff know that he can be a hand full for me sometimes but they always go out of their way to help things go more smoothly

Love the place, Great food, Staff mostly pleasant, I only have 1 issue which needs to be addressed and its stock , The warm cobs bacon , Sausage is very rarely available because they never cook enough, Same as the stuffing never enough cooked.

Just very busy even though staff were working extra hard and being polite

Food itself is good, just let down by management / staff. Consistently running out of stock, people serving are often pretty miserable & the last two times have forgotten the full order.

The pork pie is to die for. All the bread and cakes are delicious

Lovely produce. Very clean. I've been eating Birds' stuff for 60 years and it's good, but getting very expensive and if the sausage rolls get any smaller you'll have to eat them with tweezers.

Whilst lovely cakes, they need to sort out the queueing and the service. It can take ages to get served as they take an age to sort your order out. Maybe they need to think about something outside as at busy times the queue is the length of the shopping parade.

Always come in here but this morning staff more interested in having a chat with regular customers about local schools than serving so took twice as long as needed and now am late for work
