Bilston Fish Bar in Wolverhampton

The worst food I ever had I ordered fish chips on Deliveroo only 1 mile away took 175min to arrive large fish more like gold fish extra thick batter normally my cat were ever she is in the house when I order fish she comes and eats most of the fish her self but she wouldn’t even touch that fish I had stomach aches and was sick all day and most went in the bin!!!

Ordered through just eat. Took almost an hour to arrive. Added notes to the order to ask for lightly battered and crispy fish as the last one I'd had from there the batter was thick and soggy and the fish had gone cold only for the same to have happened again. Asked for a large gravy and got a small and asked for salt and vinegar on everything but the fish and there didn't seem to be any on at all! Chips also tasted reheated. Won't be ordering from there again

not good service waited over 2 hours from ordering had a message saying it was going to be delayed by 20 minutes finally received an hour after the already delayed time frame. When trying to contact numerous times no one would answer the phone. Very disappointed with service.

Good food nice batter chips, masala fish nice too

the order came within the time that was given but was 40 mins after I got a notification to say it was on its way. after receiving the food, the chips were hot and fresh but the fish was soggy and the pie seemed re-heated. it felt like the order had been forgotten about and when remembered only the chips were replaced.

Asked them to cancel our order as they weren’t doing battered chips anymore, despite us ordering this, they cut the call and did not cancel it.

Would not order from here ever again the mini fish I received was not cooked properly at all the batter was still raw batter mix in parts and the mushy peas tasted very salty all the food went straight in the bin. Not right at all to be serving such low standards.

Ordered food from them and the service was absolutely terrible. They took over two hours to arrive from order time. By then I decided to make my own food and they tackled me for an extra hour with deliveroo before giving me a refund. Called up the shop for the worker to tell me that the ‘delivery guy’ is the owner so I could not get in contact with him and ‘he is very busy’. They lack communication wouldn’t recommend.

Big portions of chips, a large bag can be shared with family and the food overall is tasty and way less covered in grease(obviously all food is fried in oil) than other chip shops in the area 👍

Took my first fish and chips from here and it was uncooked and I try as well the chicken kebab that wasn’t cooked as well, but the chips are top very tasty

Do not go to that chip shop in Bilston High Street, don't go to no food shop, they all have rats, I drive through there at night, when I go mackys, and you can see the rats run under the shop, I was going to record it, but they run under too fast, I would stick to hot dog stands or nothing at all.

I go all over the u.k with work. Recently I've spent some time in Bilston. I've passed this chippy many times but never used it. I had small fish battered chips and peas in a box £6. Decent fish, lovely chips and probably the best peas I've ever had. I went 3 weeks on the trot. Value for money, Great tasting. I would definitely recommend and would use again. Well done.

I have used this place many times before and always had good food but this order was really bad they gave me the wrong pie. the chips were cooked many times and were rubbery I am really surprised my food was so bad

Awful place, waited 3 hours. Called for update staff were ignorant. Food arrived at midnight yet they marked it arrived at 10.30. Food stone cold and soaking wet with condensation, whole lot got binned. Won’t use again. I noticed any good review are from Asian names, probably got family dropping good review to fool people.

Absolutely awful. Food was ordered at 9.37 arrived stone cold and sopping wet from condensation, called restaurant to get an update, worker was ignorant and cut me off. Won’t be ordering again. These people are dishonest too, they listed it delivered from 10.30 even though it was midnight when it arrived, should be taken off the app!

I am still sat here waiting for food, 1.5 hours after I ordered. I can’t cancel as I will be charged anyway!!! Rang the shop 30 minutes ago and the driver had just left!!! The shop is only 10mins from my house.

Food says delivered. It hasn’t been. 2 hours wait for a pie and chips. Having to leave a review on an old order as my current one still hasn’t arrived. Shocking. Asked for a refund and to cancel and they have declined the request. Won’t be using this restaurant again.

I've never order from a chippy in-person or online that had so much oil all over the papers that the food is wrapped in. the food itself was okay but the oil was really off-putting. I ordered scallops and received a oil-drenched circular, battered and fried mash. they were soaked in oil. The fish and chips and scampy was okay. The order tracking was none existent too.

Paid for large curry sauce an selected curry sauce from option with meals only gave me one small pot with the chips and curry sauce tray I ordered rest not there!

The curry sauce pot had opened and some sauce has split out plus the pot was small not like the usual large pot which is what I ordered. I took a photo which I can send. I look forward to hearing back, as the chips were dry and not enough curry sauce

I ordered mini fish and chips and the food quality was really poor. The fish had hardly any batter on it and it was half the size and it was soggy. It looked like I was sent a scrap of cod. I paid £15.00 for the two mini fish and chips it was over priced for the scrap of fish I had. Really poor food.

Delivery was late, ordered at 5:20 and it arrived at 6:55. Only ordered kebab, fish and chips & a saveloy so not much. Food was cold so I’ve had to blast everything in the microwave. Ordered large kebab and I’m sure a smalls been delivered not worth the money. Tried to call the restaurant no answer, tried to get an update through just eat and no text received…Won’t be ordering from here again.

Chicken on naan bought at the shop 10 minute drive to get to my friends, the chicken was cold and tasteless and naan stone cold, been to this shop twice both times the food has been below par, never again

Not only did I have to wait an hour for estimated delivery it then proceeded to be an extra 10 mins late. No apologies or anything even after calling. Food was decent though

I asked for salad and sauces on my kebab, didn't get either, chips came battered and wasn't gave a option for normal or battered so when came battered couldn't eat them as we don't like battered, very little portion of kebab....I wudnt recommend the place and won't be using again

The food was nice but very shy with the portions, when you’ve paid nearly £9 for a kebab on a naan, you expect it to be filled Enough meat to cover a pitta, not a naan

Chips great as always but the sausage, burger and pie were only warm, not hot. The quality of the pie very disappointing. Everything is normally perfect so a bit let down. I will however always use this place as normally so good.
