ordered about 15 minutes before closing, normally food wouldn’t be up to standard however this time we were blown away by the quality of the food. It came piping hot, the katsu fries were just delicious and big portions of everything. The buy one get one free meal was so worth it!! Would really recommend !!

I ordered ramen but it wasn't it was pasta i lso paid £1.50 for 3 small pieces of raw meat?! , I do not recomend this place. This is not a japanese food AT ALL

The quality of the sushi has been offensive for years. I haven't ordered sushi from this restaurant since 2019 because I knew better... then I decided to give it another chance and at last.. I was sorely disappointed. The filling to rice ratio is laughable, as you can see. I guess it wouldn't be a huge problem if the rice was good... BUT IT'S NOT. It is gummy and tastes disgusting. Some of the filling in the assorted package could've very well been cardboard. Consistently, the worst sushi I've ever had. They must still be in business because of other menu items otherwise i can't explain it.

I was verbally abused by the driver who brought my food just because he had to drive from Wolverhampton to my area which is only a 10/15 mins drive

The best restaurant with Chinese/Japanese cuisine I've been to in the UK so far! Pretty authentic. Went there on my birthday last month and I didn't regret it at all. Pre-ordered a table here as I was told it can get quite busy in the evenings. The meals are affordable, not very expensive; an order for two was just under £40. The restaurant does takeaways also, including those that are asked for after you've chosen to dine in. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, I don't remember the waitress's name that served us around 8-9 pm on 28th January 2024 but she was really lovely. No car park available but there are limited parking spaces on the opposite side of Roma Ristorante (on Tettenhall Road, after you've driven past Flowercraft, ISO and Bella, immediately turn left - it'll be a one-way road). I don't know when I'll come back here again but I definitely recommend this place to those who live local 👍🏻

Everyone that ate with me had food poisoning from eating their food. Other than the worst stomach pain for 2 days & counting and waiting in A&E for hours to miss work it has absolutely ruined my week. Do not go to this place if you don’t want to regret it. Their food smelt very fishy and was certainly expired so if you want some basic hygiene do not visit their restaurant because they will serve you poisoned food. I’m honestly fuming at the standards of this place and it should be closed down. A food hygiene visit is overdue to avoid this happening to others. If I could give them a zero I would.

This Monday, my husband and I decided to give Iso Sushi in Wolverhampton a try. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing – from the unappealing presentation and unsatisfactory taste of the sushi to a soggy burger bun that stuck to our fingers. My husband couldn't even finish his meal, and despite attempting to switch to a burger, that too fell short of expectations. I strongly advise against dining at this restaurant.

Love their chicken Katsu Bento with noodles (although my wife prefers it with rice). Sometimes you get 1 breaded chicken breast, sometimes you get 2. It always used to be 2, but these days it’s more often only 1. Always reliably tasty, just not quite as reliable with the portion sizing…

Fancied a different kind of takeaway meal so ordered a variety of sushi. Was called to let us know the delivery was on its way - lovely touch. Food arrived swiftly, less than the expected time. Sushi was absolutely delicious with lots of ginger, soy sauce and wasabi to accompany it. Was great value for money and there were definitely no left overs!! Great food, we will be ordering again. Gone realy downhill , we have visited many times over the years. Guessing the franchise has changed hands , gone more to an Indian type restaurant with Burgers on the menu What we could salvage as Sushi was really poor, the crab handmade roll was black (looked rotten) inside and inedible, the avocado maki had hairs in in from the chef! Last visit for sure !

Time and time again the delivery is late. I wouldn’t mind this so much but they have you chose a time slot which is already later than other restaurants. 2 hours 30 minutes plus before we got our order. When calling they assured us it was leaving and due to the excessive time we would also get a refund. That refund never came. The food came cold and we only waited due to the promise of a refund and the food coming regardless. It’s a shame because the food is usually nice. But it’s always late or items missing.

Nothing resembling Japanese food, Deep fried ( in dirty oil) chicken Gyoza that tasted of Indian spices, burnt chicken katsu, also cooked in the dirty oil, we left the food and went elsewhere to eat.

I recently dined at this amazing Japanese restaurant, and the experience was fantastic! The food was incredibly tasty, especially the sushi and the must-try katsu chicken. The staff was not only skilled but also remarkably kind and attentive, making the overall dining experience truly enjoyable.

Ordered through Uber Eats, fancied something different, and was NOT disappointed. The food was beautiful and as described. I had the sushi, and my wife had a burger, which she loved. Next time we are in Wolves we will visit this restaurant to eat in.

Updated 01/12/2023-ordered food through their own app. Placed order for home delivery at 17:54 and I had to call at 18:52 to ask for order where about and ask for additional ginger and the lady said that the driver will leave in next 4-5 mins. Then I called again at 19:27 to find out where my food was and the lady said the driver left 5 mins back and the order finally arrived at 19:42. Almost 2 hours in total. So when the food arrived I took my medication which I have to have before meals. Started with chicken Gyoza which was good and then with beans and then got sushi out just to know there was no wasabi- now as I had already taken my medication I had to have sushi with only soya sauce and no wasabi in it which does not taste nice. The whole point of sushi is to have it with wasabi. Then was going on desert and there was no dorayaki. So now I had to call the restaurant so thought would mention about missing wasabi and missing desert. The guy on the phone asks me to check the bags and I mentioned no desert as ordered. The guy on the phone still asks me if “I am sure” as if I could not see if I had the box with desert. Then the guy said is I will send the driver with desert and throw in a drink. Then he again asks me if I am sure and at this point I got stressed out and I said leave it and I dnt want my already paid for desert. U can keep it and I hung up. They called me back again and the guy over the phone had the audacity to question me again if I was sure if I received the desert or not. And I said please leave it and the guy said “because you have complained several times before” that’s when it hit me that last month when I ordered my dinner they sent freezing cold edamame beans with excessive salt (roughly 2 tsp heap full of table salt- not to forget 2 order of beans in same freezing condition) and that time I had also asked for extra ginger. And rightfully as customer I can complain because I paid for edamame in warm condition with right amount of rock salt. So last month they did send the right temperature beans. So today At this point the tone of guy was just not acceptable. So I gave up my already paid for desert. According to the guy I always complain but I had only complained last time and today that is twice and I use this place for sushi delivery directly or through Deliveroo. As a customer we have right to get the food in the right way and as a restaurant they have to send the food in the right way. If he is trying to cover up for his staff or the staff did not say the truth is the restaurant matter to find out not the customer. The restaurant management needs to question this guys customer service skills which are questionable at this point and they need to rectify their issue. Someone down at their end is not doing their job right. But that gives no right to the restaurant to be disrespectful to the customer. I am not ordering from here again. They can have £3.49 which I paid for dorayaki. Advise for customer ordering for delivery- when u receive order please check temperature of food containers when delivered in front of the delivery guy and check the number of containers it should match the order placed IN FRONT OF THE DELIVERY DRIVER. So you are not disappointed. 1 star is the bare minimum I could rate here or I would go lower. And I would leave my previous review as below as food is ok. But services could be a lot better. I mean a lot Ordered through Deliveroo and got it on time advised. Food was packaged nicely and presentation was good. Edamame was amazing, mochi was good but overly sugary. Sushi fish was good but the rice could have been cooked a bit more. Chicken gyoza was good. Overall average

ISO will not be back !! This place is as Japanese as Phil Mitchell so do not expect a cultural experience in environment and certainly not taste !! Good service and good food go hand in hand, unfortunately be prepared for a long wait, say like waiting on a sumo wrestler to complete a marathon. Eventually when the food does arrive I’m sorry to say you will not be hit with a Hiroshima explosion of taste. My starter was the Zafrani king prawns which had no flavour despite their bright yellow Simpson like complexion. Calling these prawns king prawns is like mistaking Danny Devito for Arnold Schwarzenegger in Twins. As for the Ramen not even Moses could perform a miracle to save this unpalatable noodle soup dish which was garnished with what can only be described as a mummified boiled egg. Maybe today was an off day for the restaurant’s chefs but I certainly won’t be coming back again. Rating : 4/10

Amazing place, food and service. Usually order the gyoza as starter and they between the katsu and teryiaki chicken/prawn. If you curious about trying this place don't hesitate to try. Beats having the same kebab and generic fast food places you see around town. 100% recommend!

I often eat at ISO SUSHI. And words can't describe how much I enjoy it. The staff are extremely sweet and friendly, so patient and always cheerful. And the food is a taste of paradise. One of my ever-time favourites is most definitely the chicken catsu and rice aswell as the sushi choices Everything about iso sushi is just a one in a million and I definitely recommend for those who have a passion for trying different types of foods, aswell as enjoying a meal out with family or freinds!

I ordered the loaded box meal and WOW it did not disappoint. The food arrived promptly and was fresh!! The box itself had a mixture of my favourite items saving me the difficult decision of what to order. The portion size was great for sharing, but sharing isn't for me...I had it all to myself. It is great value for money....looking forward to my next order!! Keep up the good work 👏

Been here a few times with family and friends. Ideal for any occasion. Food is always fresh and tasty. The portions are very generous. Especially the chicken katsu curry. They also do a mini katsu, which my kids love! Our go to Japanese spot

My dining experience at this restaurant left much to be desired. Firstly, the wait for the food was excruciatingly long, and it was evident that takeaway orders took precedence. I opted for the Tuna and Salmon Iso Box, only to be met with disappointment. The rice was disappointingly mushy, clearly having been precooked and stored in a fridge, possibly even reheated. The rolls had hard rice on the surface, indicating they may have been sitting out for a while. The quality of the salmon and tuna was far from fresh, with haphazard cuts. Next up was the Steak Ramen, which turned out to be instant noodles lacking any discernible flavor. Adding to my concerns, I couldn't locate any visible food hygiene rating. All in all, this experience fell far short of the standards one would expect from a Japanese restaurant. In a word, it was horrendous.

We drove miles to get to the place because my daughter wanted to try a variety of sushi, and their menu states that you can buy 2 pieces or 8 pieces of each. My daughter tried to order several 2 pieces and was told no, she could only have 8. She was really flustered and ended up ordering a safe option. It was so disappointing. I raised it and was told that making things in twos is a waste of food, so I asked why is it on the menu. I was told a new menu is being made, but nobody explained this to us. The three stars are for the other food that we ordered, but I was so disappointed for my daughter.

This place is amazing the food was cooked very well! The octopus is delicious as well as the chilli chicken everyone much try that dish! The place is super clean! The staff are amazing so friendly and happy! It was my birthday and they even brought out a beautiful desert for me 💙I would 100% recommend this place! Thank you we will definitely be back very soon!

Order from somewhere else. Food was 45 minutes late. The restaurant tells JustEat that it's delivered earlier than it actually is so that the restaurant looks like it delivered within a reasonable time. One meal was good one meal was terrible. I've told my wife we will not order from here again.

Service terrible. I'm not sure if they were male or female and I don't wish to misgender them, but the little person working there who I presume was the manger spent the whole time dead eying everyone. Tried to smile at them but nothing but attitude in return. My girlfriend liked the food. I thought it was okay. Good even. Not great. But the place was filthy.

Not the best Japanese food but it tasted good and was presented nicely Otherwise this was a pretty bad experience. A real disappointment because we had visited a few times before and enjoyed ourselves. Loud modern music was playing but they did turn it down when asked. The waitress didn't really seem to know what she was doing. We ordered starters and mains and it all came out at once. There were 5 of us. The kitchen staff must take some responsibility for this but it appears that their minds were not fully on the job. My daughter asked for her main dish to be kept warm. I asked the waitress to bring my main out later as the table was full and there was nowhere to put the food. My granddaughter had burger and chips but was given no cutlery. She got it when she asked. No green tea, although it was on the menu. The carafe of cold water was fine. The toilet was out of order so two of us had to go and find a business that would let them use a toilet. I don't know what had happened to my main course but it hadn't arrived by the time everyone else had finished their meals. Eventually, I took it away as a take out. I would advise you to avoid this restaurant. You would do better with a takeaway.

I visited the Chapel Ash restaurant in the evening on Saturday night with my family. We visited following a very wet day at the safari in Kidderminster. The hearty and authentic Japanese food was fantastic and the perfect tonic for the same. My children opted for kid’s katsu and yakisoba and my wife and I had sushi and their new loaded box meal. The twist with the loaded katsu fries was marvellous. It’s not the first time that we have visited here (it certainly won’t be the last), but as ever, the food was fresh, well cooked and the ambiance in the restaurant was also excellent. Staff were attentive and were happy to accommodate the request of my 3 year old, who wanted no vegetables in her yakisoba! It’s the little things that make these places gems, and ISO sushi certainly is one.

Ordered for collection. We ordered the Assorted ISO and 20 piece salmon selection. Sushi was awful, not at all authentic. The rice was not cooked through and smelt off almost like off milk, worse still the salmon was dark in many places. Good sushi demands fresh ingredients, unfortunately you wont get that here. ISO was good years ago when they first opened. Since then they've simply increased their prices and drastically lowered the quality of ingredients. I assume they'll continue to decline. There are better Sushi places in Wolverhampton. Iso is a no from me

Rudest staff ever. Spoke to like cretins because we wanted food after 21:30. Response to restaurant response: it is even worse than you may have surmised; you may record all of your calls but it doesn't stop your staff being rude to people to their faces. Maybe think about how you serve people who actually come into your shop rather than assuming everyone is a phone customer and wasting your time trawling through listening to them.

Ordered for delivery, so I can excuse the food not being fresh etc, but I was still disappointed. Ordered steak ramen which was pretty flavourless. Steak was a bit chewy. Its a shame, I love Japanese food and can't find a good local spot. Id be tempted to visit the restaurant to see if the quality improves, but im a little put off sadly. On a positive note, my wife had the garlic beef teriyaki. The flavour was great! Edit: I should mention, the price is very fair though!

I am not one to leave reviews normally but having seen these negative reviews I had to leave a review. we were there for a simple date night meal. i ordered the Loaded Katsu fries and my partner ordered the Steak ramen i have to say the food was exquisite. there was so much flavour in ramen and the loaded katsu fries came topped with crispy fried onions which i didn't expect but that was a game changer.

Really disappointed that I visited with my partner who is pregnant and was refused access to use the toilet. Come on guys, we are paying customers and she’s clearly pregnant. This is why it’s better to stick to larger chains as opposed to these businesses. Ps you had toilets available for customers but simply refused a pregnant woman.

I made a £40 order, which consisted of x2 boxes of assorted rolls, x3 miso soups and x1 sashimi. As a regular customer of all ISO sushi restaurants, I expect the order to be perfect as it’s a big order. For one, I asked the SALMON SKIN roll (WHICH IS ALWAYS HORRIBLE), to be replaced with another type of roll. Instead they replaced the SALMON ROLL which is lovely with the PRAWN ROLL and kept in 8 of the horrible salmon skin rolls. I called back to have them send 8 pieces of salmon rolls, but yet again received 8 prawn rolls. The staff who answered the phone orders was very rude and barely understood me, vice versa. No salmon rolls have been received. Very unpleasant experience!

Was excited to try this place after seeing the Google reviews. But the sushi and food wasn't authentic and found it disappointing. Wouldn't recommend or go again. Though I guess it was cheap and cheerful. The service was so-so. They didn't seem like they particularly wanted to serve us and the table we at at was annoyingly wobbly.

We visited here a few weeks ago..the lady who served us was lovely..I think her name was lucy I asked her name because she was truly accommodating made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble..it was so busy when we visited..lucy was doing food orders and serving guests..she was amazing ...she made our visit fantastic .thankyou lucy

Amazing restaurant, ordered off UberEats for the first time from this place and the food was still warm and full of flavour, The restaurant even phoned me to make me aware the driver had just collected the food.
