Nan bread was burnt! Curry was like oil and milk no flavour at all

The service would have been 4 stars had they not thought they were being clever giving me a draft beer and telling me it was the bottle of San Miguel that I ordered. Other than that, the service was ok. However, the food was awful. Garlic mushrooms - hardly any mushrooms sliced very thinly and drowned in a warmed up thick cheap garlic mayonnaise. No bread. Tandoori king prawns main - just 2 prawns! The worse food at an Indian restaurant I have ever had.

Yet again an amazing experience at our favourite place to eat, introduced friends to the pleasure of eating here on Saturday night and they were very impressed and said it would be worth the drive from where that live to have this experience in the future.

Really nice old place, squeezed us in as from cleethorpes picking a car up for my mother, filled up quickly even though it was early around 7pm, service & food /drinks spot on & great price as well

Got threatened by the restaurant when I called to ask where my delivery was. Exact words "I know where you live and I'll come round and sort you out". Reported to Police.

Ordered delivery through Uber eats. And ordered a balti sauce… they sent a chicken tikka masala sauce and labelled it a balti but I know tikka when I taste it I don’t hate chicken tikka masala… and it did taste like a nice masala sauce so that’s the only reason it’s not a 1 star review… but some people don’t and may get annoyed if they get the wrong sauce. If they try and say this is balti sauce… no… I ordered a month ago and it was completely different, thicker, brown and tasted like a balti… Other than that the food is delicious. Very thick cut chips and the naan is just beautiful, so nice!

Good place to dine Indian cousines. They have good ambience and friendly staffs.

Very good varid menu with excellent quality and offers on for several nights of the week. Takeaway also available staff very helpful and polite.

Waiter offered us the £12.99 Thali meal which is what we ordered,he explained that we could have anything off the menu except fish.I ordered a chicken dish and my partner lamb which arrived burnt. When the bill arrived the items had been charged individually,when challenged the waiter said that we hadn't had the Thali menu and had ordered off the main menu. He said that off the other menu that the portions were smaller which I find hard to believe. The other waiter knocked 7 pound off the bill due to the confusion but I felt that this probably happens often and they were trying it on. Couldn't be bothered to argue so paid and left.Not just the burnt lamb that left a bad taste.

Takeaway. Order delivered quickly...but not our order, telephoned to find where our order was. Delivery driver came back and said our food was going to be recooked. 2nd delivery attempt. Naan bread order wrong and those that came were tastless and like chewing rubber. Curries were cold. First and only time we will order from here.

Food was just awful - curry was watery and had no taste whatsoever, chicken looked gross and the naan was burnt. Won’t be going again and wouldn’t recommend.

Bilash has always been an absolute firm favourite of ours. Having tried many other restaurants in the area non compare to Bilash! Food is incredible, lots of different choice and always tastes delicious! Staff and service are brilliant, nothing is ever too much for them, they are always friendly and polite. Very accomadating with our 7 year old doing child sized curries. Restaurant is always clean and well kept. Price is extremely good, they do not over charge for anything unlike other places!

Overall a nice dining experience at Bilash with a good selection of food, with plenty of choices. Restaurant was able to accommodate a larger group on a Sunday evening. Food was hot and came out all together. Only when the bill arrived which we split it became complex, with handwritten notes. Perhaps we should have mentioned this at the start of the meal, so we had to wait for the 4 handwritten bills to be redivided up. Free car parking. Stairs up to restaurant, with handrails, but no ramp access available. Bring your own beer/wine/soft drinks too, or full bar service.

Quite a mild balti I had. The taste was bland. Prefer a bit more spice. Not amazing but ok. The restaurant is nice, cosy and pleasant. The staff were amazing. Very attentive, polite and friendly. I'd come again because of the staff. Love the little treat at the end - a small shot of Bailey's and After Eight!! Limited parking at the back.

Had chicken balti and chicken madras hardly any chicken and no veg tastless for me nan was burnt on one side chips were OK though

Good food and really good and friendly service

This was an old favourite of ours years ago and hadn't been for a long time. The food was spot on and I loved the concept of the specials where you get curry of your choice, rice of your choice and Naan bread as I always want them all but generally portions are overfacing. This was just right, no wastage. Wine is very reasonable indeed and good quality. Biggest kick for us was the Bombay Duck. Still serve it here, something of a rarity but we love them. Great service, will definitely return. Very reasonable prices for the food.

Hadn't been for years since we moved area. Been back twice recently and it's as good now as it was then. Busy.. Great food and lovely staff.

Service is good, food looks good. But the food is tasteless… I ordered on Uber eats and I am so disappointed. Indian food should be strong flavoured and pungent but this is the blandest food I have ever eaten.

A long standing favourite of ours. It's been there forever and there is a reason why. Good food, good value and great folk. The specials are often my choice, with chetinad or king prawn garlic being my favourites. Prices are as low as could be expected and there are no frills or extravengance. Since lockdown they have done delivery as well and went out of their way to look after us. Spent a Christmas lunch there a few years back which was also fabulous value and made a real change.

Had a fantastic meal with some of our adult children. Staff where Brilliant food hot and plentiful would recommend too family and friends 👍👍👍👍

Shocking customer service! Twice now we’ve had bookings and the table’s not there when we’ve turned up. Surely it’s not so difficult to take a booking and make sure the table is available???!!

Just returned from another fantastic meal at The Bilash. The staff are friendly, polite and attentive and the thali was fantastic. 4 x empty plates!! I would highly recommend.

Horrendous customer service, waited 2 hours 40 minutes for our food, then 2 of the curries were incorrect. We repeatedly asked staff about our order to get no true response, we complained several times & mentioned we wanted some money off our final bill. We asked for our bill which never came so went to the bar to pay, when we mentioned our poor experience, one of the staff members responded with an awful attitude and basically told us it was our fault we waited so long for food because we didn't tell anyone, absolutely ridiculous as we had asked different members of staff multiple times. The staff member was also quite threatening towards my partner. They knocked £7 off a £97 bill, the worst customer service I've ever received, will never be going back.

3 hours 20 minutes for a few poppadoms and an incorrect curry. Need I say more. We saw tables come and go all around us while we were kept waiting. When raising our disappointment at the end of the night we were laughed off by incredibly rude staff including the manager who went on to say that the 2 hour 40 minute wait time for our food was our own fault as we did not pester the waiters enough! (Not a joke). We did ask multiple staff members on many occasions for updates on food who just seemed to pass the book. They refused to knock any significant money off the bill and instead became threatening and volatile towards our group. None of us had ever experienced anything like it and certainly won't be going back. Appauling.

Missing nann bread, 37 calls to restaurant without response, cold sagg aloo potatoes, chips like roast potatoes and waterly poor tasting curry.

Chicken Madras was basically like a tray of Chinese chip shop curry with about 7 chunks of chicken, the keema naan was crispy with virtually no keema. On a plus the homemade chips were great and delivery was quick. Never again though, I'll pay more and use somewhere better.

Absolutely amazing service we’ve had tonight here 10/12/2022 fantastic service.Was really spot on. The staff are amazing. I’m fussy with my food and I mean really fussy and everything came out absolutely gorgeous. My new favourite curry restaurant. I wish I could give more stars as the food and service was phenomenal. Thankyou for such a lovely night from the 6 of us. We will be back again.

Oh my god. Worst food I’ve ever eaten. Chicken less gravy madras with watery rice 2 popadoms that were in pieces and didn’t even come to half a popadom??! Mixed starter. 2 rocks of meat and very watery salad. Disgusting. I’m not a fussy eater but really guys avoid avoid avoid 🤢🤢🤢

What a fantastic takeaway we have had tonight. Deliciously cooked lamb saag and paratha and the rice was lovely. Really friendly staff and quick service. We have found our new takeaway. I would highly recommend.

Excellent Thali meal on Monday evening!! Thali meals are available on a Sunday and Monday evening. Popadom and chutney, any 2 starters, any 2 mains, rice and naan for £10.99. excludes seafood. You get a metal tray with small portions of the starters and mains you've chosen, rice and naan portions are a bit bigger.. I have a big appetite and I was pleasantly full afterwards, but not massively full. This meal is a great way to try the large menu with small portions. I chose lamb and chicken dishes and the meat was lean and tender, not a huge amount of meat but just about okay The flavours were great. I had the vegetable rice and garlic naan which were lovely. My partner as a vegetarian chose all veggie options and she loved her thali meal, arguably with more food because veggies are a bit cheaper than meat!!! She especially liked her bindi choice. We will definitely return for this offer again!

Food was absolutely delicious, excellent value. I look forward to my next visit to Newcastle under Lyme which will definitely include another visit to Bilash.

Had a delivery and the food was lovely, the chips are like a roast potato/potato wedge. Would definitely recommend.

Only started attending the Bilash a couple of months ago and now for me and my Dad it is our go to curry house in the area, we now have a weekly curry there when we meet up and i could not pick somewhere better to do so, the food is fantastic and arrives within a very reasonable time, the staff are extremely friendly and make sure you are looked after during your time at their restauraunt. The prices are very resonable aswell and so are the opening times, The portions are a very good size that good of a size that after ordering a chicken tikka, garlic naan and fries i am still yet to completely finish all of my meal. it is all around a cracking curry house that i would highly suggest to any of my friends and family (even the ones who dont eat curry) The menu is an extensive size that it would take me weeks of visiting every day before ive even scratched the surface of what they have to offer. 11/10

First time was really nice but going back the Food over cooked & poor steaks chef doesn't know how to cook medium rare even the tandoori starter was burnt & dry ..wont be going back

Just felt that they did not want to serve us. Drinks where flat. Never offered any starters or pappadum. My food had a lot of lemon in it. And it tasted like one of the sauces from a jar. We asked how many would a portion serve, and he just said designed for one. Everyone is different so that was not help full. The nann was the best part of the meal.

Unfortunately really poor. Firstly main part of meal was completely missing but called up and it duly arrived 15 mins later. Quality of meal not good, nan bread burnt in.places meat dishes virtually no meat not a great experience

We came in a large group 24 of us. The restaurant staff were so efficient and patient. And the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Tava Chicken with pilau rice and garlic naan. It came out fresh ans steering out of the kitchen. Will definitely return to try more dishes.

Authentic, honest and great food. Friendly and helpful staff, always a warm welcome and great food. There may be flashier Indian Restaurants, but based purely on the food The Bilash is difficult to beat and doesn't break the bank either.

My favourite restaurant for 30 years it never lets me down. I live in MK now but whenever I visit Stoke it’s a given I go to the Bilash for my favourite dish chicken jalfrazi which is always cooked to perfection 😝 This weekend I went Sat and Sun to meet up with friends and family -it can’t all be done in one night can it lol Rumal and Martin always greet us with the warmest welcome and provide a service that is 10 out of 10. Rumal always goes above and beyond to make sure everything is good . It’s like going home to family for me I always look forward to going , their hospitality is always very much appreciated 🙏

Visit the area with work, this is the best Indian restaurant/takeaway I have been to. Excellent food and old style restaurant just love it. Prices are very good, you won't find better!!.

My dad always says this is the best restaurant in town and has been going to it for 35 years. Well what can I say AMAZING SERVICE! Ramal so much respect and staff really pleasant. Brothers Birthday tonight we enjoyed the night. The starters and curry were delicious! 10/10! Everything was full of flavour! We all enjoyed it and we will definitely be returning! Thank you!!

Absolutely delicious. First time I've been in almost 20 years and it didn't disappoint. So much so we've booked to go back in a few days. Not only was the food fantastic, the staff were brilliant. Extremely attentive and provided good old customer service. Would highly recommend.

My daughter and her husband have been dining at this restaurant for years and now that I have moved into the area I too enjoy the good food and service that is second to none, Ramell, his dad and staff are so welcoming and friendly. The menu is so extensive & varied , so I’ve got a lot of work my way through.

Some of the worst food we've ever eaten. "nan bread" tasted like pancakes. Burnt and very sweet. Chicken tikka bhuna/rogan were not even close to ogrinal in taste. Burnt and disgusting in taste. I don't know who gave it so many stars (5). But it must have been a mistake. It was the first time we encountered such tasteless cuisine. It was the first time we ordered there and the last time. The single best thing that ever was in my order it's a fresh vegetable salad. Because they didn't have to cook it, use spices or just cut it with a knife. + delivery was really fast. This is a plus. If someone wants to be introduced to Indian cuisine This place is the perfect place. I definitely don't recommend it
