Bilash in Birmingham

Not the worst place I’ve been to but equally I won’t be going back. Portion sizes weren’t great but weren’t overly small either. The food wasn’t exceptionally tasty however the restaurant was accommodating in my request not to put cardamon pods in the food which was appreciated.

We were in the Tattoo shop next door and the smells drew us in, wasn’t disappointed either, fresh, hot, tasty and served with a smile, never been there before but definitely will again, thank you, Mark

My wife and I met with friends for dinner recently and this being our first visit, we really enjoyed it - shame about a particular diner who was part of a group, and in my opinion doesn't get out much as he was uncontrollable in his merriment to sing happy birthday to someone in his group. If felt as if he was either seeking attention, drunk or just being an absolute idiot! We didn't allow this to dampen our experience as the company and food made up for this in spades! Thank you to the staff for making our experience enjoyable!

Other then being EXTREMELY cramped the food is out of this world and extremely great service! Unfortunately I moved out of the area and only go now once a Month as before I was either eating in or takeaway every week

Every time we go, the food is fantastic, and the staff are always happy and cheerful, plus the service is 2nd to none

Not had a curry for years We went Monday evening and had a lovely meal 8 out of 10 for sure 😋

Best Curry House in Brum ! I’ve been coming here for many years and it never fails to impress, great food at affordable prices, unlicensed but you are allowed to take your own drink which makes a huge difference to the bill, the service is always friendly and professional

We have been going to the bilash for about 27 years and have always had a lovely meal or takeaway 😋 we now do a 30-minute drive for it

Been here a few times and meals have always been tasty, a good size portion and served by friendly staff.

Went here for a family meal and it was great 👍. The service was very good and the food was also very good 👍.

Just had the best prawn Balti and garlic coriander naan. You can't beat this place 👍🏻💯

Very nice lamb tikka but the samosas were hard /overcooked and just not too my liking .

Had a takeway from bilash tonight the chicken sislia was great lovely food known this place since 1994 always good food . A must place if you like curry's.

Best balti house for miles! I used to order Madras but now my favourite is chicken silsila balti! Nice and rich in flavour and spicy! Not forgetting garlic and coriander nan!

A pleasant evening with good company, food service and the staff were all you would expect ,can only say we will return, and would recommend you a visit

Best ever no one beats this place

If you're in Birmingham for any big event (ICC, NEC, etc.,) you must find time for this place at least once. I've not visited Bilash in over 15 years but my return for a take-away was a wonderful experience, like visiting an old friend. I asked them to suggest a flavour packed, spicy but not overly 'hot' meal and their suggestion of Chicken Silsila with Mushroom Pilau Rice was absolutely spot on. Large strips of tender chicken shrouded in a rich dark sauce packed a small kick with each bite. Next time I return to the UK, Bilash will be on my agenda as though it was family...

Have been going there for some years now, I'm a bit of a curry fan, and in my opinion, The Bilash is one of the very best curries that I have had. The staff are always ready to help with recommendations and nothing is too much trouble. All round great dining experience

Very good I was pleasantly surprised.

I went here over 10 years ago but it wasn't good back then, this time around it was so tasty the only down side is it wasn't chilly enough for my palette

Had dinner with my family. I had prawns Biriyani, it was good. My husband tried lamb curry it was okay. I love bangladeshi restaurants . So I would give 8/10

Great service! Ordered takeaway for 8 people on a bank holiday, we were advised it was very busy but the team did wonders yet again. Food as delicious as always and such great value. Our absolute go to Indian restaurant.

Love this place just wish we lived nearer. The food is fantastic member of staff very knowledgeable and recommended dishes to 3 of our party after asking what we liked and how hot etc. Also caters for the non curry eaters my nephew had a lovely chicken and chips. Reasonable priced and freshly cooked. You can see into the kitchen. You are able to take your own drinks and the restaurant will provide glasses. Always a pleasure to visit.

Top notch food to the max and a cosy atmosphere

I've being going there since it opened many years ago. What draws me back is the standard of the food, the service abd the lovely ambience. Who would have thought that having tiered dining would be so successful

Just ordered a delivery, main curry was nice but only half portions for the garlic rice.

This is my local they have got every dish I've asked for 💯 correct it's tasty fresh and value for money...the manager always comes to your table to welcome you and the service staff are always friendly and helpful. And they do not try and rush you out......btw more than a table of 4 wanted pre book other wise you'll be waiting for some time.

Best balti I have ever had stunning, once again had a takeaway madras balti garlic rice garlic and coriander naan faultless

Very disappointed as have eaten in restaurant on a number of occasions and never disappointed. Ordered curry, rice and naan bread take away and curry was cold and I think if I threw the naan at the window it would have smashed it as it was that hard & cold. Very disappointed on takeout won’t order again.

We ordered a takeaway at 5.30 this afternoon. I was told 1.5 hours it’s now 8.10pm STILL WAITING and PHONE CONSTANTLY ENGAGED!!! Would i recommend definitely NOT

Not our best meal at the Bilash, we waited quite a long time for the food which in some cases was not as hot (temperature wise) as it could have been. Most of our party seemed to enjoy what they had. Will we return again, of course, but perhaps when they are less busy.

Great food and a great price. Not licenced for drink so need to take your own. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing curry I had the lamb korma and was the best I've ever tasted the chicken tikka was nice to just wish the cheesy nan was packed out with more cheese as I love cheese

The food was 10/10 The customer service was 10/10 Beautiful restaurant and delicious food I’m a conveyancer I’ve been to many Indian restaurants and this is one of the best I’ve been to in Birmingham worth every penny! I will definitely be visiting again soon!

Turned up on a Saturday we hadn't booked but even though it was busy the guy's found us a table. The starters were excellent (kebabs) and the staff were prompt. Unfortunately the main meals, a lamb dhansak and Keema balti were very disappointing. The both mains were very over cooked which made them very thick and dry and a lot of the flavour had gone, the one dish, the food had actually burned to the side of the bowl. Having said that it's very reasonably priced, the reviews are quite good for this place so we will give it another go on a quieter night.

After being a long standing customer and always finding the food and service excellent. I was so disappointed with the take out serice. On odering for a special occasion. I call at 1900 with my order. Arv20.30bstill no show I was told it would take 1.25 to get to the door. After calling at 20.40 I was told it was being prepared. Needless to say I cancelled. So so disappointed looks like the end of an era

Waited over 45 minutes and chips cold . Poppadoms missing rang up they said Poppadoms on way . Taken 20 minutes for them to deliver them not happy as requested a refund for them but because they had to wait for driver to return before returning with them that had taken 25 minutes not good enough

Ordered a variety of food and most of it tasted like lentil soup. Curries lacked a punch of flavour. The naan was crispy and fluffy. Reasonably priced.

My husband and I had a really nice meal here this evening. I am a difficult customer in that I have allergies and am quite picky about how my food is prepared. The staff were really friendly and made sure that the food was cooked to our liking. Decent sized portions at very reasonable prices. I definitely recommend Bilash!

The Bilash has been open since 1994, and the food is still absolutely superb. If you're a balti fan, its highly recommended. Take your own alcohol.

I love here! The first time I went was so good I had to go back a second time. What made it a memorable experience for me was a particular waiter who was so helpful. He tweaked one of the curries for me so it was just to my liking. If you ever go I would recommend the Dhansak and the Peshwari naan.

We hadn’t booked a table but the staff quickly prepared one for us, and were more than helpful the whole evening. Food was absolutely delicious and great value for money. Restaurant does not serve alcohol so bring you’re own! Well worth a visit.

Love this place. Friendly staff, great service and food to die for. I had lamb tikka main which was melt in your mouth. My boyfriend had the madras. We also had a selection of naan breads and chips and rice. He loved it. Will definitely be back again. Very reasonably priced.

03/01/2022 We just had a home delivery, Popadoms, onions and sauce. Main was mixed meat balti and mushroom fried rice. It was all cooked to perfection 💯 and was thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Delivery right on time. Well done to all the Staff at Bilash. Best wishes for 2022. John

Customer service and atmosphere was great. My Balti was bland and got about 2 pieces of chicken and lamb so seems I didn't didn't get quantity or quality. Sad as I've been before and it was decent

Best Indian food and service for miles.

Staff were liovely food fresh. People that work there nothing was too much trouble nice clean would tell people about it as it really was a nice place to go and staff didn't rush you out really good night to have something to eat.

Have used this restaurant for more years than I care to remember and have never had a bad meal. Very pleasant staff who will advise new dishes to try. This restaurant is not licensed but not an issue you just take your favourite tipple with you.

After placing our order of what we would like we were told it would be ready to collect in 30mins not the 55mins it took we only live a 3 min drive so when we had our starter (pakora)was surprised it wasn't really hot but just warm but it tasted ok & was quite tender good upto now,but no poppadoms included.Then onto the mains butter chicken &chicken tikka pathia veg pilau rice & pashwari nan,mine the pathia was the most artificial flavour curry I've ever had very powdery it's my favourite curry so I've had quite a few over the yrs my wife's butter chicken she said she didn't enjoy hers either we will never go back again

Yes, another awesome curry this week. This time for my birthday. The lamb Tawa is amazing and my wife's Veggie Madras Balti was amazing.

I've been using the Bilash for over 20 years and always get fantastic service whether eating in or takeaway. I would never use any other Indian restaurant as I feel no other restaurant can come up to their standard of service and food.
