Really cool shop. Like a TARDIS inside, much bigger than it looks from outside. Nice selection of kit. Tasty bacon bap and coffee too Super helpful and friendly staff Did I mention great coffee!!

What a great shop! I’m originally from Stevenage but now live in the USA. I flew over just to pick up some Merlin clothing and a new Arai helmet as these specific items are hard to find and more expensive stateside….(it’s also a good excuse to go out for a few beers with some old mates). BikeStops staff (Martin & Martin) are very knowledgeable, really really helpful and Martin. S even fitted the Sena comms to my new helmet! Oh….. The coffee was great too. Well worth the trip

Have purchased from Bike Stop previously but decided to go in store to try on a few new helmets as my existing helmet was a terrible fit. What a fantastic shop this is. I was promptly helped by a friendly and knowledgeable chap called Martin who assisted me with finding the correct fit helmet. The size and colour Shoei Neotec 3 I wanted wasn’t in stock but Martin sorted out getting one order for me while I had a coffee in their cafe. He also sorted out a discount for me to which was greatly appreciated. This shop is a bit out of the way for me, but from now on I will definitely use this shop in future. Follow on update…. Since visiting the shop I have made a purchase for some Rukka textiles from the website with a view to collect them, as they had a decent sale on over Easter. Ordered for collection from store as if they don’t fit I could exchange them there and then. The website states “choose any product for a delivery message” although I cannot for the life of me see any further information regarding delivery messages. I therefore presume if it is available to order, it’s in stock for immediate dispatch and if it isn’t available to order, then it’s out of stock. The website however allows you to place an order and after a few days of waiting I contact the shop to be advised that they are waiting on the items from their suppliers. No big deal although I was hoping to get the items collected before going back to work but this unfortunately isn’t going to happen. It’s also highly likely that if they don’t fit, I may have to wait even longer for the other sizes to arrive. Still worth waiting for as I saved a fair chunk of money in the Easter sale. I will still continue using the shop as they seem to have good deals from time to time, but if you need something in a hurry, I would suggest using Sportsbike Shop as they are obviously much larger and hold far more stock and can therefore get items to you the next day. This is a smaller business so expect to wait a little longer.

Brilliant place. Went there today and was assisted by Georgia, who help me gear up for my return to biking. After a period of not riding, I’d lost touch with clothing tech, brands and all the other developments. Georgia was so helpful, took time to listen to exactly what I wanted and didn’t just try to push the most expensive stuff on me. First I’d ever been here, but certainly won’t be the last. Welcoming and knowledgeable the crew helped me get sorted with jacket, helmet and jeans. Paying attention to what I actually needed and the budget I had they offered experience and advice to make sure I didn't feel overwhelmed or pressured. Definitely be coming back. Also they were great with my 5 year old which is always a bonus.

I’m very new to all things bikes and have been to many shops and not one has made me feel anywhere near as welcoming and comfortable as when I visited yesterday. I have been to some shops where women have advised me on outerwear but honestly, none were a patch on the lovely chap yesterday. I was recommended bike stop and they very much lived up to that glowing recommendation. Thanks so much guys, I will be back forsure ❤️

Martin sourced me a large Arai Dark Citizen, the last one at Arai UK. Arrived the following day for collection, always happy with the service & have been buying every piece of kit imaginable for the past 12 years here, Highly recommend Bike Stop & their exceptional staff.

I recently purchased a Rukka Rimo-R jacket. Initially Martin Short was dealing with me and trying to obtain a non UK colour, Martin asked Boss Man Martin if it was possible, he believed it was. Sadly it was taking so long I chose the UK colours and all the Rukka Armour. Very satisfied with Jacket and as always excellent Service from Martin Short and the Boss man, who price matched sportsbike.co.uk for Me. Good shop, plenty of bike wear, jackets, helmets, gloves and boots. Have a nice little cafe here too which makes my daughter happy to have a hot chocolate. Have dealt with Martin and Cameron often, who are always willing to advise on gear, or offer guidance which is helpful for a new rider such as myself, and if not for these two I may have given up the 2 wheel dream. Great shop, great staff, great gear!

After six months of trying boots at more local stores and MCN Live, time to travel further and go to the experts. Shorty’s expertise led me to Daytona Road Stars in a wide fit. Quickly ordered some sizes to try in store and they fit like a glove. Amazing service!

Bike Stop is quaint from the outside but expansive when you go in; they keep comprehensive stock of gear from different brands, and anything not there can be ordered in-store. All the staff here are great - both Martins were genuine and happy to answer any questions I had. Will be returning no doubt.

Visited Bike Stop for the first time today as returning to motorcycling after a long break. Was served by Cameron who was exceptionally helpful. He took the time to ask me about my needs and understand what type of biking I would be doing. Using his obvious extensive knowledge he was able to offer various options that would suit my needs and also checked fit, comfort etc. I was able to get my new helmet and gloves and very happy with the purchase. No pushy sales here! Good honest advice and no problems getting suitable gear due to a great range of items in stock. Feel lucky to have such a well stocked shop with great staff local to me. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend BIke Stop.

Where do I start with BikeStop? I took my first trip over to Bike Stop yesterday, upon realising they are only 15 minutes up the road from me. The coffee was great, the Sausage Toastie even better. I met all of the team during my 2-3 hours there and most of them introduced themselves by name and asked mine - a nice personal touch. Martin made a point of introducing himself properly and explaining the services they offer on site - in short, no ask is too much for them here. They price match, they tailor clothing and they deliver to your door if your purchase is too large to ride home with. Today I popped back for breakfast at opening (stayed until they closed ant 1) and was greeted by the same friendly team and some of the regulars who had also been in yesterday. As an indecisive buyer, Cameron and Martin must have shown me half of the jackets in store by the time I’d finished asking questions, both very helpful. I rode away with a nice new Belstaff Crosby, a back protector and a Belstaff down layering jacket, all at a very reasonable price, given the sale prices. Would recommend the cafe and shop to any biker (dedicated parking out front). I’ll be back again in no time, I imagine regularly, and look forward to some Ride-outs through the spring!

Friendly, helpful and patient staff. Always a good selection of kit at different price ranges. Coffee shop at weekends is a plus. Parking can be a pain-travel by bike if possible, as car spaces are often hard to find. Highly recommended.

Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of good quality stock. The toasted sandwiches are good and I had an excellent pot of tea.

I usually use an online retailer that has a few stores as it’s quick and convenient. However I needed something last minute and used these guys. Great service and provided there opinion on the products, the great service came when I had an issue with the product, emailed in and Martin/Cameron were great in resolving it. Morale of the story is that I will now use these guys rather than SBS purely for the service.

Good shop with a bunch of good gear. I didn't buy anything as I was just nosing around and couldn't make up my mind but I overheard some of the staff helping guys with helmets and jackets etc... and it was good to see knowledgeable ppl on hand to help. There were about 4 staff there!! Which is so refreshing as everywhere in the UK seems to be moving to online and self service. Worth popping in and trying gear ti get exactly what you need.

My first visit to to Bike Stop. It's located in the old part of Stevenage in the middle of a high street. There is specific motorcycle parking but there's also parking all along the shop fronts. The shop downstairs is small but upstairs makes up for it. A whole range of quality clothing is on display as well as a small selection of accessories. On my visit I found the staff to be very polite, friendly and chatty. The shop has a cafe with seating inside and out.. and yes they have a selection of cakes :) So that alone makes it a must! As I said, they stock quality clothing so bring a fat wallet. They also have an online store in case it's raining and you can't stand the thought of getting your precious ride wet.

There is always a warm welcome and a fabulous coffee at bike stop regardless of whether you are a biker, like to have a look and a chat or are just passing by - consistent quality cakes, reasonable price and lovely people. The customers are always friendly it’s more like dropping into a friends for coffee than a shop.

This is an honest little cafe serving proper coffee in the Old Town Stevenage, opposite Costa ..Don't be put off if you are not a biker, it's a friendly place, as the chalkboard says , all are welcome & that's my exp. . Also lovely cakes and panini too.

Went to Bikestop to purchase a helmet and Fabrizio was more than happy to help me through the entire process. I have come away with a wicked new helmet and a big smile. Great shop and staff.

Went to Bike Stop on Sat Morning early looking for some denim jeans with protection in them. I was dealt with by Cameron who could not have done any more to help me make the right choice, even said if I was not happy I could take back within a year, I love this shop and well done to Cameron and the food was very nice too. They were very busy as there was a demo of electric bikes going on as well. Well done all. Great shop great service

Nice vibe with friendly staff. It was my second visit and decided to explore the large upstairs clothing and Helmets area. They've got some nice stuff in stock albeit a little rich for my pocket. Was a bit dismayed that they were clearly upset that I was looking at their Helmets without a member of staff to chaperone me. I've never been to a store where this was the expectation before. Maybe I'm old fashioned? I don't think I looked like I might steal one, I dunno. I didn't buy anything in the end, felt a little bit, erm... Put off.

Excellent advice and service from Fabrizio. Went in to look at waterproof boots and a leather jacket and was recommended Dainese goretex boots at a decent price and great fit. Leather jackets again tried a few on and ended up purchasing a lovely Richa jacket. Would thoroughly recommend visiting this shop for the fantastic selection of products and advice from motorcycle enthusiasts.

Called in to buy a new jacket yesterday. Pierre and the other staff there were super helpful and friendly. Pierre was so helpful and ensured that I went away with exactly the right jacket for me. They all clearly know what they're talking about and I can't recommend them highly enough!

Wow the last time I was hear was over a decade ago. Now with a Cafe, delicious food, hot drinks and some treats.

The bike stop is a little gem that is like a Tardis when you step through the door. They price match and if a member of AIM offer a 15% discount. If you want to do a bike safe course this is the place. Observed rides start from here and also info on Biker Down course. Oh and they do great coffee 👍🏼

I first came into the shop a couple of weeks ago to purchase my everything needed as a new rider. Awful company. Happy to take your money but won't warrant a faulty pair of Daytona boots that are less than a year old. They are ignoring me like children now. How pathetic.

I needed a new helmet and my wife needed all the gear so we decided to visit the Bike store and it was definitely worth it, we spent most of the afternoon with Fabrizio who’s level of customer care and knowledge was invaluable, He made sure we purchased all the right stuff and not once did it feel like we were dealing with a salesman…Grazi Mille! The shop also doubled as a place for bikers to hang out as they serve excellent coffee and snacks with free bike parking out front…now saved to google maps!

Martin got my RST Race Suit tailored to suit my height and did other work on my old two piece leathers. Very helpful. Great service. Easy free parking in Stevenage High Street. Great shop with coffee shop. Loads of great bike gear and accessories.

Bought plenty from here yet after I had a warranty issue I really found out how much care and how much effort they put into putting things right. Item fixed quickly at no cost to me and comms were good.

The staff are helpful and the shop is stocked with good quality gear. I was pleased to note that the Richa laminated jacket and trousers I wanted were priced competitively. There’s a very nice coffee shop if you fancy a bite to eat, as a bonus. The two free coffees I was given in no way affected my objectivity or influenced this review.

Great place bought all my bike clothing and crash helmet. Fabrizio served us he has so much knowledge and very helpful. Spent nearly two hours there and had a lovely latte after buying the things I needed. Recommend this place very highly.

The sales guy was very professional but the helmet he sold me just wasn't up to the job with the visor screws breaking after only 8 months I found it disappointing. Won't be buying a helmet from them again.

I always buy my gear at Bike Stop, every time I need something new, their knowledge and helpfulness is second to none. Fabrizio served me today for a new set of summer gloves. He asked me what bike i ride, when, and how often, what type of protection was I after and all the right questions. (I rIde a ZZR 1400, everyday to work and back) I wanted a full cuff and great protection, Fab talked about a range of products and had great knowledge on all. I've emerged owning a new pair of awesome Knox Handroid gloves with the BOA wrist tightening system and i can't wait for summer to test them out! I went to Bikestop to enquire about the Dainese air vest and was blown away by the level of knowledge and expertise of Martin. I was going to shop around, but I was inspired with confidence so bought straight away. Every time I come here it’s a great experience, the team are always super friendly and passionate about bikes. I was looked after by Alex who was very knowledgeable. Its a great shop, a good ride over from mine and the coffee is excellent! Well worth a visit!

If ever there was a store that proved you shouldn’t just buy everything as cheap as possible off the Internet, it’s Bike Stop! I was looking at helmets online and popped in-store; Fabrizio helped me with brand selection, fitting (and to cap it all there was a 15% discount for trading in my old helmet). Not only that, but Alex offered to move my Cardo headset over to the new helmet too. You can’t beat Bike Stop’s personal service and expert advice (but be prepared for a smidgen of abuse - it’s all part of the service!)

Interesting Tardis of a shop. Good coffee, Great selection of motorbike gear, However was extremely busy and unfortunately that lead me to being completely ignored by the staff, So left and bought some gear elsewhere.

Lovely shop. Cameron was knowledgeable, humble and very helpful. I purchased an Arai helmet. Explained the technical aspects of many riding gears yet maintaining a no-pressure attitude. That appealed the most to me. Although I am new to motorcycling, at no point did I feel belittled or intimidated. Would visit again

Second time i have been to the shop, really friendly staff. Purchased a Hornet ADV helmet 5 minutes before closing on a sunday and James could not have been more helpful, he fit the pinlock and my intercom for me saving me a righ FAFF, what a ledge. Highly recommended place to visit for any biking gear.

Travelled to Bike Stop from Milton Keynes approx 3 months ago to try a Richa jacket. The chap I spoke with was very friendly and accommodating so I ensured I returned to make my purchase when I was ready. I initially chose the wrong size but the staff were helpful again when I exchanged for the next size down. Lovely little bike store.
