It's a busy day in the airport with cancelled flights so we retreated to The Big Smoke for a light snack and drinks (I'd recommend the warm almond croissant and a hot chocolate - it's not too sweet). From the start, all staff we encountered were helpful and cheery. Particular shout out to Wilma and Patricia for their help with an enquiry we had around using vouchers from our airline due to flight delays. Nothing was too much trouble and the teamwork here is evident. All are a credit to this establishment.

Commitment from staff 0% He who took us to ours just left us. When we ordered our food with the QR code and the new waiter brought the food, we asked for cutlery because there was only one knife on our table (check the picture). He pointed nonchalantly to a table next to it where there was a poor pair of cutlery.

Service so slow the sauntering staff might as well be in a coma. When we realised we would be lucky to get any food before we were due to board, we gave up and left without anyone having even taken our order.

Big Smoke is one of my favourite airport pubs to visit, service is great! Craft beers are my favourite and food is quick and tasty! On this particular visit, Wilma and her team made me welcome while awaiting for a delayed flight. Making amendments to my meal to cater to my tastebuds and keeping me topped up with great beers.

I had a lovely experience here! Food was amazing, we had chicken burgers! The staff was exceptionally lovely, we was served by Cláudia and Tarenjit (sorry if the spelling is incorrect!) who was super friendly and helpful x Mac and cheese was banging too x

Marpreet my server was awesome!! A bit expensive for what you get but it’s an airport so it’s not like this place is the only one doing that. As far as airport bars / restaurants go, one of the better ones I’ve been to

Amit gave great service and the food was excellent. He tried entertaining the kids and their teddy bears... but they just wanted their juice 😅

The staff were friendly, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. My ribs were dry and tough, and the table next to me received ribs that looked overcooked. Save your money, it's not worth it.

A very conforting place with conforting food.

Brisket was dry. Cooked too fast. Not much of a ring. Served with some sort of gravy over it try to hide the consistency. Chewy and bland.

Margarita is awful. I can’t understand how some comments say it’s good. Flight mode is also tasteless, looks like sparkling water. Mac and cheese is pretty tasty and creamy, every variant is good. But the sizes are a bit too small…

We had a great breakfast - Gandhi was a very friendly server and recommended the beef brisket on the side which was top notch. The restaurant is nicely tucked away from the crowds, would definitely recommend!

This place is a reliable haven amid all of the overpriced and generally bad food available elsewhere in Terminal 2. Turn right after security, descend to the lower level and it’s just before the windows at the edge of the terminal. Quietly efficient staff, excellent English breakfasts: a little pot of Boston-style beans, properly crispy bacon, two eggs, hash browns, two sausages and mushrooms all for about £15. And because it’s tucked away it doesn’t get overfull so you have space to relax and they don’t hassle you to move on. This was my third breakfast visit this year. My only constructive criticism is that some customers might prefer a herby Lincolnshire sausage to the type offered here.

Super quick and good airport food. Normal high airport prices but u get a lot of food so I found the value good. Smoky beans were awesome!! Mushrooms and sausage were meh. Comfy seats!

Stopped here for breakfast before our flight. Wilma provided excellent customer service and didn’t make us use the app, which we struggled with in our tired state. Very friendly and interested in us which was nice. Food was good but on the small side for the money.

Came here as it was available on Priority Pass. Each pass gives you £18 worth of credits. Here’s what we ordered for two pax: Caesar salad with anchovies, Wings, Onion Rings and a pint of Pale Ale to share, well within the £36 and was able to take to go. Highly recommend the onion rings, they were absolutely amazing. Cleanliness can be improved - there were crumbs on the seat, slight stains on the table and on the menu.
