This place is supposed to honor your Priority Pass card since you’re paying for a membership. However when I tried to use mine to get a discount I was told that my PP is tied to AMEX Platinum and is therefore not recognized. I just love it when businesses screw customers with the fine print. The table I was seated at wasn’t wiped down and the burger was not worth the $$ they charged. Thankfully there are other options in T2 so avoid this place.

Had breakfast I usually have and it was half the size as it was last time. Wasn't value for money at all. Used to be good but clearly cost cutting.

I last ate here in the fall of 2023 while transiting to the states. I enjoyed my breakfast then and I enjoyed it just as much this time around. I will say the service was much faster this time around as we were still coming out of short staffs as a result of COVID-19 back then. I ordered a couple of lager pints and the sausage Bap, which came with a fried egg on top with red onion chutney. Everything was warm and tasty...well, not the beer! I don't know why there are so many poor reviews, but the Big Smoke is two for two with me! See you next time.

No one is cleaning. All tables have glass, plates, and stuff from other guests. Our table was tidy but dirty and sticky. The food was dissapointing. Dry burger, 1 tbl spoon of meat on the tacos. We got no cuttlery. Expensive for this low standard.

we ordered ahead and when we showed up ready to dine-in, they had our food packed to-go, as well as leaving out half of our order. we asked about the missing pasta and were informed that we already knew they didn’t have pasta. we had not received any sort of notice and the lack of apology or understanding was appalling. We also asked to sit down as planned, and while we were seated, we did not receive service similar to those around us. we were not given utensils or glasses of water. we ate from our takeout containers while waiting for the new order of mac and cheese to replace the missing pasta. a waiter came out and tried serving us a side of fries after 15 minutes, and when we said we had ordered mac and cheese, we were not given an apology for the inconvenience. when the food finally arrived, it was not very yummy and honestly tasted gross. I do not recommend.

My very first time in Gatwick Int. Airport....decided to stop in here for a quick bite before heading to my flight gate. My server was very RUDE...maybe my skin tone wasn't the right shade!seriously!..we waited over 10 mins for a glass of water,. Im not sure on english breakfast sausage but mine looked so under cooked....this was my first and DEFINITELY MY LAST!

We had breakfast this morning in the Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen Terminal 2 and it was excellent. Our server Vimal went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and the tricky order (caused by a few picky eaters) came out exactly as ordered. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a decent breakfast. Thanks to Vimal for looking after us so well.

There was a queue. I assume there usually is. But why did I (party of one) wait for a party if six to be seated first? I saw three empty 2-tops from the stand and still had to wait when it was eventually my turn. Also, waited about 15 min for a fork and HP (there was no ketchup). The burger was VERY over-cooked, and no one puts onions in Cole slaw (I'm american).

The food was very good. Miss Taranjit was a very friendly and courteus waitress.

Absolutely amazing service! Taranjit was a fantastic host, the food is spectacular, chicken tenders were out of this world, our 9 year old daughter rated the mac n cheese 9/10! The service is fast and so friendly, the staff can’t do enough for you! Every server had a smile and went way above and beyond, even though they are a constantly on the go! Godfrey was a brilliant host, always helpful. Well done to all the extremely hard working staff. Jailesh was a true gent what a star!! The staff are incredible! A must go!

Em… felt a bit scammed . Ordered the bangers and mash and honestly looked like a miniature version for £16 . Tasted ok no issues but the photo doesn’t do it justice..

The restaurant is quite expensive, we used the LK and received 18 pounds of consumption, but it was CLAUDIA who made all the difference, who provided service worthy of a saleswoman and helped us use more than one different LK card and get more access to consume more , if you have other cards, ask CLAUDIA as she is a seller. The dishes are excellent and delicious!

I visited this restaurant on Sunday with my family in Terminal 2. I had requested for sparkling and still water, one of the staff stated that they don't have it in a rude manner, I've never experienced this in a restaurant where they didnt have sparkling or still bottled water. Overall, I had a bad experience in one of the international airports.

I went to lunch with the key lounge service. The burger was good, the fries a little dry. It is expensive for what it is but it is normal for an airport.

I was helped properly and looked after to ensure I had a great meal. Shout out to Dione apart of the team that served me today.

We had Godfrew serve us our food for dinner. Very good food, served quickly. Reasonable prices considering it’s at an airport. The best of all was the service provided by Godfrew, very easygoing and proffesional. Would recommend!

Good priced but everything tasted the same. So there was no difference between poached eggs and avocado. Service was so fast

Had the smoked brisket which was great. Our waitress, Taranjit, was very pleasant and helpful and brought us the last Margaritas (our flight had been cancelled and rebooked, so this part was important) 😆

Thanks to his help, we caught the flight on time. When he realized we were in a hurry, he immediately gave us a box to take home. Our attitude may have been rude, but he was very kind. Thank you very much. thank you. It was a great service at the restaurant. His name is Samuel (sorry. I’m not sure his name is correct . My English skill isn’t enough. ) We had a lunch on 14th July. Thanks to his help we could catch the flight. When he realized that we were in hurry he gave us a box to take home for my meal. Our attitude might have been rude. But he was very kind. Vimal our server very charming, so charming we almost missed our flight! Food very good, reasonable considering we're in the airport and everything is extortionate!

Pathetic service, and this is coming from someone with 8 years of serving and bartending experience. Took 10 minutes after I was sat before a man wearing a brown/orange dress shirt and glasses came to take a drink order. Another 15 minutes before my beer arrived. Then another 15 minutes before a different server (middle aged woman with glasses, and the sole reason I’m not rating this one star) apologized for the first guy ditching me and took my food order. Then a 30 minute wait for my food (a mac and cheese) before whoever ran my meal to me literally slid the plate across the table so hard it hit me in the chest. The tables next to me commented on how weird that was before I could process what happened. I didn’t even see who it was because I was on my phone at the time, and he had walked away by the time I looked up. Food and drink itself were pretty mediocre but that’s to be expected at airports. Finally, it took 10 minutes after I’d placed my credit card on the table to get my bill, nearly making me miss my flight back home. I know I sound like a Karen and I never write reviews, but this is genuinely the worst service I’ve ever experienced, and it wasn’t even a full restaurant. Back home I’d have been fired, written up, or at best have had a stern talking to from my boss for a fraction of those errors. Like what are we doing here, c’mon man.

We came for a drink here and cannot speak highly enough of our lovely waitress Dione. She was fab, fun and attentive.

I had s lovely time here. Did some work. Had coffee had a beer and a relax. Imagine was an amazing server and I have to say the experience was much more personal than most airports.

Lovely experience with AJ today. Very speedy and courteous and the food was yummy. The only downside is that the portions are fairly small but otherwise a good option for some grub pre flight.

Awful service. Edit for explanation: male waiters were really grumpy. We were a group of 9 and this guy arrives w/ 3 of our orders, the last plate to serve was something no one asked. He kept saying who's was that plate and we got confused, to what he replied: YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ORDERED? And stormed out... like, 10 seconds later he realizes it's others table plate. Ridiculous. Asked for malt vinegar for 5 times and the same guy throws it to the table. Coca cola comes 2/3 of the glass full. 1 star still is too much for what we were given. July 14th.

Great coffee and croissant deal. Coffee was very good. Great service by all staff. Vimal was super friendly and welcoming. Sat down next to an Irish lad who had just become a Collingwood supporter having seen the PIES play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground a few days ago.

Very careless staff. Had to wait for 10mins to order my drinks which turned up in another 10mins. The food came before the drinks our table. After questioning one of the staff members. She replied that we are busy and walked away.. definitely not coming to this place again. Horrible experience.

I was at the restaurant at 21:24 just for a quick pint and the manager at the restaurant door said that they are closed where on the Heathrow website showing restaurant to close at 21:30 I just told him this n he was rude to me as my holidays started with bad manner will never recommend to any of my friends to visit this restaurant as v travel often from Heathrow Terminal 2

I had a very disappointing experience at this place. I waited 15 minutes for my drinks, which is simply unacceptable. The staff seemed disorganized and inattentive, and there was no communication or apology for the delay. I won't be coming back.

Disgusting disgusted is not the word normally I’m not a review person but had to post it was travelling from t2 and came in for quick dinner ordered fish and chips and a larger got my food quickly and finished those greasy fish and cold chips and still don’t get my drink waiters were careless very poorly managed will never come back here and won’t recommend it to others too plz stay away

It’s difficult to find a place that is 100% to your liking when the choices are as limited as what you find at an airport terminal. The Big Smoke sells a good range of beers and spirits but the prices are a bit expensive. They also have a standard pub menu featuring English breakfast, fish n chips, burgers etc. - the food is not the best but isn’t bad either. I wanted something light and went for the hummus and pitta and that was ok. Service is quick but some of the staff appear hurried and can smile a bit more.

I came all the way from US and one of my recommended me about Big Smoke. One of the best Restaurants I been too. Taranjit was very helpful and beautiful. She is expert in her job. I would highly recommended. Thanks

The cheeseburger was absolutely disgusting, almost unedible, I could not even finish despite being very hungry, and they charge 17£ for it. Avoid eating there.
