Every time I go into this place with my son the young guy on th till never listens 3 times in a row I’ve asked for my sons bacon to be well well done as he hates any white fat showing and every single time I’ve had to put it in the bin because they bacon still looks uncooked big waste of money

Burgers where supposed to be the best...yuk even the name is a put off, big mouth. Many people say good things about it but not that good.

We have been using Big Mouths Burger Bar for over 30 years, whenever we have been in the area, and have always had great food and wonderful milk shakes from them (the best anywhere). It is great to still see a long standing family business that has been going for so long and still keeping to the same great service and quality that they started with. Do stop here and try their food and milk shakes as you will not be disappointed at all. The chain burger places have nothing on Big Mouths. Highly Recommend.

Amazing consistency when ever you eat there. Always freshly cooked tasty burgers with all the trimmings, Portions very generous and our regular chips properly cooked with colour. The place is always spotless clean, their fat fryers regularly oil changed as their food is never greasy. My wife enjoys the chicken burger and she is not a burger person really! Great value for money and they definitely could give most burger venues in Brighton a run for their money that is for sure. Always busy with a regular loyal client based which they have built over the years, to be honest they throughly deserve We would definitely recommend and I wish I could eat there more often but my waist line will not allow sadly

Small corner burger bar … I went there because the locals did. It was absolutely amazing! Plus i really like their mural 😃 Great big lovely burgers, very yummy! Very short wait for food to be ready. Suits all tastes from meat eaters to veggies 🍔 Very decent price ! Nice friendly staff 😎

All ways coming here nice burgers but lately going down hill went there today told no milkshakes and no apple pies told milkshake machine been cleaned but didn’t seem like it probably just can’t be bothered and why not clean at the end of day will go to McDonald’s from now on

I came here on Saturday night I ordered Small Fries and onion rings and Bacon Burger. The food was freshly made. But the staff could say Thank you or Bye see you next time. Nothing was said not even Thanks after taking my money.

Been here a few occasions and this time was no different. Burgers were hot everything well packaged in bag, tried the Malaysian burger nice flavouring and a decent sized burger.

I am giving this place a 1 and that is because I can't do a 0. How can I score this place for food when I never got to order. I phoned 4 times and 4 times they put the phone down on me. Even if they were busy they should say "Please hold I will be with you in a second". They need to know about customer service.

This is better than most high street burger shops and luckily i live quite close to it so a visit now and again is always on.

The best burger and fries I’ve had in a while! So fresh, big portion and an amazing menu with so much to choose from. The flexibility in what the chef will do for you off the menu is incredible! Reasonable pricing! Great place! Highly recommend.

Had burger and chips never tasted fast food as good as this got home still hot chips crispy. But soft in the middle first visit will never eat mc Donald's again live 2 mins away will become a regular visitor first class burger bar

I came here last Saturday night. I ordered 2 x cheese Burger and chips. I did like my food went I got to my uncle home. I like say the lady couldn't even say hello and bye or thank you very much. She could have said hello what can I get you. I give her the money not even Thank you very much or bye. If you are running a business and you want customer to come back again there could be a bit of customer service there and a bit of smile if she cant speak these words don't work there get someone else who could do the job. I like the food very much and I will come back again.

I've been using big mouths on & off since I was a teenager, but last nights meal has really put me off, the burgers were freezing cold & rubbery, no sauce, salad was a limp soggy tiny piece of lettuce & nothing else, no cheese, cross cross chips ok but very very greasy, milkshake was ok, but lids not on & spilt all over car on way home, as in a paper bag!?

I've always had a soft spot for Big Mouths! The thing I love about it is how customisable the burgers are but they also taste real damn nice for a takeaway shop. Only fault is the chips don't live up to the hype!

Lived in peacehaven between 2010 and 2013 and have given this place a average review as sometimes the food was amazing and making you want more, especially the criss cross chips.. Other times it was bad and very soggy. Do miss this place as none exist in Southwick but it's all I miss from peacehaven.. Maybe one day I'll be back to try it again if passing through

Been coming to big mouths for years as my nan used to live opposite. Never disappointed with our experience just a shame we live so far away. Good food recommend double garlic burger and black cherry milkshake. You must park up overlooking the sea to eat to gain the full experience. Love big mouths

Haven't been here for a while and was looking forward to trying again but after this experience won't again. Burger was greasy and cheap and fries tasted like onion rings.

The burgers here are yummy! They taste exactly the same as Grubs burgers in Brighton so maybe they use the same supplier or are part of the chain? Anyway they have an excellent choice of different fillings. You can choose from beef, chicken or veggie patties. I've tried the beef and veggie-both are excellent.The service is fine for a takeaway, and food is cooked to order.

Ordered a plain beef burger with fries to go. Both were cooked to order. Took them home which was a five minute drive. Both the chips and burger were still piping hot. All I can say is that the meal was excellent, the fries were hot and crispy and the burger, which was also hot was full of flavour. I have to say that there was an extensive menu for burgers all at reasonable prices. I should treat myself more often

At times the burgers here are great but depends on who serves you. My advice is if there is anyone over 30 behind the counter then don't bother!

This has been a firm favourite for many years in our family and we love the burgers which are flame grilled and nice and large. .Kriss cut fries make the meal and we have also been know to have the veggie special on several occasions(even though we are not vegetarians) because it is choc full of crisp shredded salad and onion and tomato with mayo and gherkins,its delicious.

I have been meaning to write a review for a while. I live in Wales and when I visit my family in the south of England, I always stop in for a burger and a milkshake. The service is second to none, the milkshakes are a delight and the burgers... Well, just try one! We have just moved to the area and wanted to try a good burger. The service was very good and they are very busy. There is a great choice of many burgers and fillings. Defiantly worth a visit.

We had been busy all day and couldn't be bothered to cook so we decided to have a burger for a change. Hadn't had a burger for quite a while from Big Mouths so we decided to have one for a change from curry, or Chinese takeaways. We both thoroughly enjoyed our burgers and will not leave it so long before having another.

I've been a fan of Big Mouths for many years, so much that I bought some of their uncooked burgers to BBQ at home. Never a fault with whatever I order and the staff are incrediblt friendly too.

Had a great lunch time treat here whilst passing through from Brighton to Eastbourne. Friendly staff, efficient service and a succulent burger with fresh salad. Conveniently located on the South coast road with sufficient parking.If it's good enough for Jack the lad off Heart radio then it's good enough for me.

I enjoy big mouths when we get it, all the dips are yummy too. Black cherry milkshake is so good!!! The only thing I would complain about is, ditch all the cheap out of date grubb on the work tops! Looks tacky! Apart from that wonderful burgers

More burger, less Mayo. My burger was drowning in Mayo, and it was impossible to pick up to eat! Slipping and sliding everywhere like a custard go kart! My bun was more moist than a rubber duck in the bath. Less Mayo next time! Adios amigos

By far the best burger bar around there are a couple of mixed reviews but that doesn't do this place justice I visit this place all the time and the food is always exceptional always freshly cooked and the staff are always very friendly if you want a proper burger this is the place to go!

Been coming here since a toddler with my parents (last 20 years!) and never had one bad meal. The food is always great and tasty....garlic burger and blue cheese burgers are a must try! I have even been known to dive from brighton to peacehaven just to pick one up when the cravings for a big mouths are strong!!

Moved to peacehaven and had no oven. Tried one of these because I'd heard about them. Clearly the people of peacehaven are easily impressed or deluded, what I got was a soggy seeded bun which appeared to be from brakes or some other awful food company, horrible wet and brown iceburg, plastic cheese and a frozen bought in "burger".. just glad I have an oven now so I don't have to insult my tastebuds with that again.

I like the choice of burgers and dips here but the quality of the food really isn't that great. It's usually cold by the time I get it home (I live locally) and I'm always disappointed after I eat here. Decent fries and onion rings but the burgers are pretty average and the meat patty seems thin and cheap - I always find gristle in my order. Wimpy or Uncle Sams in Woodingdean are much better quality.

Always pass this place on my travels and decided to give it a try, asked the guy to recommend a burger for me as I had never been before. He said to try the rancher burger which was fairly new....it was amazing! Fresh ingredients really tasty and also filling spot on!

Have tried a few different burgers here and they are consistently good. Non greasy burgers and good chips. The milkshakes and pretty decent too and a good thick consistency. Friendly staff and always busy, but the wait is never too long.

Tried big mouths a couple of months ago and the burgers are to die for various sauces and salad if anyone visits the area then this place is a must

We visited here for the first time this eve as something a bit different. Only cost us (two of us) £11 for burger chips & large Pepsi each, which we thought was a very fair price. It was very busy (which we felt spoke volumes of it's popularity), though they were still very calm & polite serving people. We drove back to eat it, and it was very yummy indeed!! I had a tropical burger, which had banana, peanut butter & pineapple in. Very different & very nice. Was such a selection of burgers to pick from, but I'm glad I went with this one! We'll be back!

Visited here for the first time this evening after hearing great reviews. Was unsure when we first walked in and saw a load of 'happy shopper' products available. The lady serving was very polite and calm considering the were very busy. Burger was nice and fresh and the chips were top notch. Will definitely visit again.

Went in quite open minded, but the burgers were a bit of a let down, quality of the meat was poor, loads hard bits of Grissel, not much going on withe salad or sauce... I would rate the crisscross fries though but over all I am underwhelmed... If only they could take a leaf out of the burger Bros book.

This burger is the best in Sussex and I can't think of a place I've been in America that beats the Big Mouth.Uncle Sams in Eastbourne is a rival, Dunkies in Seaford would come in third.You've got the Byron burger up London, 7 Bone Southampton, Carls Jr chain in US.Big Mouth is up there with them all, and for me, might even come out on top.Adding on the chips which are as good as anywhere. It's a great meal.No poncing about, just a bloody good burger.

First time at Big Mouths today and it was scrummy! Burgers taste fresh and have a delicious flavouring to them. We also had the criss cross chips which had a really nice seasoning to them. This was one of the best burgers iv ever tasted and we thought it was good value for money. We will definitley be visiting again!

Whilst the burgers are freshly cooked I do find them rather greasy and the bun tends to fall apart. That said, the selection is good and, without an Uncle Sam's in the area, there isn't a better alternative locally.

Been goining to Big mouths for years now and i cant think of anywhere where the burgers are any better than the famous Big mouths!!! would 100% recommend to anyone the place is always clean and inviting, considering how cheap it is it simply cant be beaten.

Everyone raves about how good this place is but every time I seem to go, am left feeling out of pocket and disappointed. Tonight’s burger once again looked like it had been put together by a 5 year old. Won’t be using again!!!!!! Absolute Rubbish

The burgers here are pretty good they have a very wide choice of toppings and loads of different side orders. Not quite gourmet burgers but definatly better than one of the American chains.

always go here when going through brighton way, food is made to order but is done quickly and carefully. staff are very pleasant, always smiling. so good for your money! 5 of us went and we payed £30 in total with included a burger and fries each. giant portions at amazing prices, definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat. there is a small seating area inside and the place is very clean!
