Fire House Pizza and Grill in Lewes

Absolute joke of a business will never use again!!!!! I ordered £44 worth of food to my address at the lookout. They all know the lookout as i used to work there myself and the delivery drivers have been here many many times. They sent a driver who was aware he can’t drive down my road due to car problems and they demanded I drove to collect it… my poorly little boy was asleep as I had to wake him up to go collect it. £4 discount to say sorry:… they were rude and inconsiderate. To make it worse the food has arrived and not correct. Paid 50p extra for all different salad and when open the wrap they have put lettuce & cucumbe… I paid for 7 different salads.. the wrong sauces in the wrap, stale cold wedges and half filled pitta bread charged as a large ? Will never use again!

Order a bbq base pizza an got a tomato one, they had run out of bbq sauce, took my money an didn’t think to call an offer to change the pizza choice or cancel the order

Delivery driver was rude when he couldn’t find the property and even when I sent him my exact location, I still received attitude and then open the food to find it’s all soggy

Decided to get a takeaway here a few days ago and was satisfied with the food tasted great and fairly priced compared to similar places like dominoes ect. The delivery lady was very nice and polite think she said her name was Tracy? just wanted to mention her as most delivery drivers are always miserable but she had a big smile on her face:) saying this also she did look tired i hope they are getting a good break?

The order was late I was waiting almost 2 hours and the food was cold and spilled everywhere

I had a superb experience, would happily be ordering again. My driver Tracey was very helpful and patient, the delivery waiting time was very quick - no wait at all. My food was delicious and the service was excellent.

I love firehouse food but today it wasn’t the greatest, the pizzas an chicken strips were cold. This is pretty much the first time that he had to make a complaint about firehouses

Came within an hour but missing chips. Couldn’t do a refund but said will get Large chips on next order. They couldn’t refund as closing and no manager. I had a burger with what should’ve been salad but not sure 2 shreds of lettuce and 1cm of tomato counts? Donner wraps dry and not nice.

thought id try it again ,seriously ,we got 2 kebabs ,cold and one had a taste,smtg maybe the salad or ?,left a taste on the back of yr throat like smtg was off,feel queasy ,not right,since it moved its gone bad,thats it drawin a line under it now,END

Service has gone down since moving to Saltdean Waited for one and half hours for food delivery when it turned up chips were missing and food was lukewarm not impressed This is second time I have waited along time for delivery Phoned shop about chips but never received them I will not use them again think they will lose a lot of customers

Food was really nice and quick delivery. The delivery driver Tracey was absolutely lovely she got our food delivered quickly and was very friendly. I was struggling to walk at the time and she went the extra mile and helped me bring my food in I was very grateful I have ordered a few more times since and I always hope it’s Tracey that deliverers.

Absolutely abysmal!! Ordered for takeout at just past 8pm, was told that the food would be with me at the latest of 9:05pm, okay reasonable. 9:20, gave them a call because I had no word and was told “it’s on it’s way” and got hung up on. Called again half an hour later, now 9:50, and was told “it’s on its way” and was hung up on. Tried again at 10:05 and was told “I’ll try and call the driver, hold the line” and they hung up again! Gave them 10 mins to call me back and nothing.. so I tried for a 4th time and after 5 mins of them ignoring my questions and having multiple staff muttering to eachother, they tell me they will call the driver, this time I was put on hold. The food finally showed up just before 10:30, carried up to the wrong door, by a guy stumbling on his feet with bright red eyes looking absolutely off his face. I was still on hold with the store at this point and once they finally picked the phone back up, I asked why it was so late and explained the state of the driver (in a car by the way) the staff just laughed and said “next time you order, call me and I’ll put something free in for you darling”, not an ounce of acknowledgement. Not even nearly worth the wait with practically cold and dripping in grease food eventually showing up. If I could give 0* I would have. Avoid if you actually want to eat the day that you order it.

After calling the restaurant to find out where my order was, when it eventually turned up after being told it was freshly cooked, it arrived cold.

Frozen cold, 3 hours late, burnt, rock solid, feels like a personal attack it was that bad, a celebration party ruined

Food took over an hour to be delivered and the guy didn't even say anything or apologise for being so late. They also didn't answer the phone the multiple times I answered. They likely don't even speak English by the look of them avoid this dump.

Buying from this place never again the staff rude bought a chicken kebab wanted all salad pluse chips waited a long time for it when it came put did not check went to bea h to enjoy only to find it was just the pitta and chicken nothing else after I finished my day on beach I returned there only to be told I never asked for chips lol and his worked there for 13 years a very rude person I would never buy or recommend anyone to eat from there terrible place and staff need a course in cummacation.

Ordered a take away online for delivery. 2 hours and 4 phone calls later still no order.Eventually told I will receive a refund. 4 days later still no refund. Called again and was told manager will call me and several hours later still no call or refund. Avoid this place it's clearly a SCAM. Reported to trading standards.

Absolutely abysmal. Ordered online, and when the food never arrived I had to spend an hour with online chat who couldn't contact Fire House because they weren't answering their phones. Eventually they did answer and lied that they had delivered the food, but three hours after we had ordered it... Useless.

Worst food I've ever had the food took 2 hours to come and when it did come is piss warm I didn't get a single ingredient I wanted in my wrap the onions looked like they were chopped by a 3 year old. How don't know how someone can be so incompetente that they mess up an order that badly. It's honestly embarrassing that they call themselves an establishment. I'm never going to order from this shocking place again.

Took ages to come , they kept making excuses as to why it is late and the food turned up cold. Soggy chips , stale donna meat and watery salad.

Ordered from here for a while now and I can proudly say, this place has gone massively downhill. I’ve had missing items nearly everytime I’ve ordered and even when they come back to give me my missing items, it turns out to be the complete wrong item anyway. Not to mention that their pepperoni dough balls are just a ball of plain dough with 1 pepperoni stuck to the side and the chocolate (cookie) dough balls are just a ball of plain dough with a dollop of chocolate on one side. Prices are ridiculously high for such low quality food, unprofessional over the phone and can even take up to 2 hours to arrive.

This place is beyond poor, food and service are atrocious … Unfortunately, they have a monopoly as it’s the only place open that sells this kind of food late and local. The whole place is dirty, worn out and tired. The staff are incompetent and fail to completed the simplest of food and allergy requests. I’ve seen a few food hygiene breaches and big no no every time I’ve been there… Cross contamination from raw meat to salad, and food storage, it’s all pretty basic stuff for a takeaway. Hopefully the food hygiene inspector pays them a visit soon. You’re better off going to the garage 500m up the road and getting some crisps and sandwich then risking what could come from the food and Incompetence here….

I’d heard stories about the staff being rude but never experienced it myself until recently. At 16:42 on a Friday we ordered a single medium cheese pizza to be delivered ASAP - it arrived at 17:44 This place is notorious for long wait times, so this was expected. Fine. What we weren’t expecting was for our pizza to arrive totally disfigured! See photo 1 - it seems whoever was slicing it accidentally pushed the pizza all into the corner of the box, happy (or ignorant) or their work, then gave it their approval to be sent out. Once we got the pizza dropped off and saw the disaster, we called to rectify the issue but were immediately given a standoffish hostile response, telling us we were wrong and they didn't believe us…!? After some arguing we agreed to getting a new one delivered, but they would be asking for the already delivered pizza back. Well guess what? The new pizza they delivered to replace the mess they sent us the first time did NOT match our original order (no stuffed crust - see photo 2). What's worse is that the delivery driver was also argumentative when asking for the original mutilated pizza back, wasting our time on our front door step attempting to pull the cold doughy carcass apart, telling us that it was perfectly fine and we could have fixed it ourselves. For the Dominos prices they ask for, you'd think they'd be a little more considerate of customers that have never gotten in touch about issues with an order before... This one bad experience has completely spoiled any chance of us returning to them.

Shocking, waited 1.5 hours for a doner kebab and a chicken wrap, it then turned up and the driver sat outside on his phone for 10 minutes. I phoned to complain and the guy laughed down the phone then offered to send some chips. We then said we don't want more cold food and he offered to give a free kebab next time. We asked for his name and he said he couldn't give that! No kebab on file! Stay clear terrible service terrible food

I ordered here on Sunday 14th April 2024 since eating this diabolical food I’ve suffered terribly with food poisoning affecting me health and my work, I work in the area I don’t live here, and not working means I don’t get paid, now onto my third day of none stop toileting! Disgusting

This was the worse kebab place I ever tried . The food was not good at all, and the items were missing from my order, staff was very rude. Don't ever buy from this place if you don't want to have a bad experience and get unhealthy food. If I had to choose will be no stars but unfortunately can't do that .

Came in as the boys were closing, they looked after me anyway & the food was amazing, probably my favourite kebab yet!

Ordered online. Ordered at 6.55pm with an estimated delivery time of 7.30pm-7.50 pm. Called at 8.10 as still no food arrived, first call they took our address then hung up the phone, when we got back through they said the driver had left a while ago and had 4 deliveries before ours so to give 15-20 mins. Called again at 8.40 to be told they can’t get hold of the driver but it is on the way. Driver arrived 5 minutes later and said that he hadn’t long left the fire house grill and come straight to ours! Food cold, no sauces or salad I. The burgers as requested and every food box squashed!

Amazing pizza. This place is the bomb! You won't be disappointed by the standard of food here. Staff are really attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. Prompt delivery a very happy customer

Inedible. Ordered two seafood pizzas tonight and they arrived dripping in oil and really sloppy. Tried to soak the oil up with some kitchen towel but no good. Sloppy in the box and on the palate, disgusting. Don't you check the food before you send it out? I could put both pizzas though a mangle and they would still be running in oil. I will use Papa Johns from now on and advise everyone else to do the same! One star as I could not give zero stars!

Ordered at 8.23 Waited 2 n half hours constantly being told it was out of delivery when it wasn’t, being hung up on about 6 times even when asking for money back instead, just very rude customer service. And when the food did turn up it was stone cold looked horrible and burnt. Even other times when ordering there constantly forgetting items and taking over an hour to get it to us the food over time has gotten worse and worse and they have the cheek to up prices definitely not worth it they have gone very very downhill these past couple of months. Used to enjoy there food now I won’t bother again They definitely lost a regular customer

So bad, was out for delivery for over half hour for 4 minute drive, stone cold, looked like it been run over, salad leaked everywhere, don’t even have the decency to answer phone just cut it off when trying to phone to find out where food is.

Is it normal practice to hire someone blind to do your pizza slicing? Because how else do you squish an entire pizza into the corner of the box… We called to rectify the issue but were told we were wrong and they don’t believe us… After some arguing we got a new one delivered, but it didn’t match our original order, and the driver wanted the disfigured pizza back, and wasted no time attempting to pull it apart at our front door, telling us that it was normal and we could have fixed it ourselves.

i had ordered chicken burgers hash burgers and volcsno burger with cheesy chips ! very delicious scrupmtious juicy burgers with a fingrr licking sauce . been a delight to eyes and tummy! definitely trying rhem again

Every single time I order from here they always forget at least 1item sometimes more..every single time. They make their prices up on the go aswell …charged me £24.50 for 2 medium kebabs and 2 Rio cans of drink. Their food is a joke!

Every time they have sent me a discount code it has never worked (even with over 25pound orders) whats the point! They have lost a regular customer for not trying to sort it out for me over the phone when i called. Honestly guys dont bother, coz their not bothered
