Big Man's Food in Sandwell

You live and learn I guess. These are definitely relying on old reviews. Check the names from the 5 star reviews 😒 We Just came from here me and the wife. Fancy food titles on the menu, it looked great, we ordered then we Waited 30 min for food after we had ordered. At 25 min waiting they bought out apparently free nachos which were dry and soggy. Food then came and wasn't great at all, was actually terrible. Definitely shop bought patties and not fresh. Wife didn't eat half hers and left her coleslaw as she said that don't taste right at all. I took the chicken off my burger as that didn't taste right either. He came out asked us how our food was and from our reply he said, IF ITS NOT COOKED RIGHT ILL GO DO ANOTHER 1 😅🤣. WHAT!!!!. When we went to pay he said can we hang on while he adds it up. It was 2 orders that came to around £31 but was now £36.50 they added the apparently free nachos. We didn't want to argue over a few pound so I paid and we left. Hopefully not with the squits. I'd avoid this place and I think food and hygiene should be pay a visit.

Popped in while in the area and was just blown away. Service was probably the best I’ve ever received. Felt like royalty - was told it was an honour to serve us. Ordered two smash burgers and a hot dog which were divine. You could tell the meat was quality, no gristle and so flavourful. Chips were tasty too. Also had the nachos to start which had what reminded me of an American cheese sauce, no microwaved boring nachos these were brilliant. No alcohol but not a problem (restaurant is halal) Parking available outside (arrived after 9pm so not sure if there’s restrictions earlier) Best burger I’ve ever had.

I love this place and regularly have food delivered. Good portions, and quality ingredients. Not your usual fast food rubbish.

First came across this place whilst going to the McDonald’s next door , decided with the family to try Big mans food since the reviews and pictures seemed promising. On my way to order i saw a few guys smoking outside assuming they must be customers waiting for there takeaway , as i entered the inside the shop all the guys outside threw there cigarettes on the floor walked inside behind me and one went behind the counter to take my order whilst the others entered the kitchen. The smell of cigarettes and clearly observing that they did not wash there hands was a big no no specially in times like these. I do not recommend them at all specially if you value your health ,that of your children and family.

Visited as a child at old premsis was lovely to come back great food always, prices so good for portion sizes

Arrived a good 10 minutes early before booking and on entry distancing measures were being followed,however once inside was a different story. Full tables close to one another with no distancing going on whatsoever. Took around 15 minutes to take our order along with drinks. Was a further 25 minutes before food brought out, server disappeared for our drinks,or so we thought. A few minutes went by and nobody came back,no drinks,no offer of sauces. Had to chase and drinks finally came,sauces in bottles you had to open yourself. All other eateries visited during this time have served individual sauces. Burgers themselves were ok but the additional paid for toppings were not overly generous. We were going to have desserts but service was so slow would’ve probably ended up waiting along time. Had to ask for bill at counter as so few staff about.Empty plates sat on our table even as we left. Considering the queue outside you would think there would be a concerted effort to serve quicker. Had seen many photos before the visit and had been looking forward to it but was rather disappointed.

Despite the restaurant being extremely busy the quality and the service was amazing. The nicest burgers with such low prices too for the amount of food and quality. So much choice, I'll have to go back to try out more options off the menu when up in the Midlands again.

Took my family here for a meal as photos look amazing... don’t be fooled sticky tables, dirty toilets,I couldn’t find a place without any handprints on eg, menus, windows, doors, mirrors etc then there was the food it tasted like farm foods frozen meat with fresh salad and sauce to hide it . Then when my daughters meal came out wrong,instead of replacing it they took it to the kitchen removed the wrong item and returned the same meal including the residue of what had been removed so she didn’t eat her meal.wont be returning 👎

I have been driving past this place for about a year and never thought to go in. Yesterday I decided I wanted to make use of the "eat out to help out" scheme and wanted some fast food. Myself and my partner stopped by here and we ordered the Bob Marley Burger with Dirty Fries and the Mess Mexican with fries. The food was delicious and the service was brilliant despite it being super busy. We were really keen on meeting The Big Man himself. I spotted a rather big guy serving food and checking on tables to ensure people were happy, I thought this could be the man himself. I asked him if he was the owner, he replied yes, I then asked him if he was in fact Big Man, he replied yes. What struck me was how humble he appeared, he had a lovely soft smile and was very gracious. My partner messaged me the next day saying that he wants Big Man to be his friend. I said we will definitely go back there to enjoy more fabulous food and for him to potentially strike up a friendship with Big Man. This place is a gem, easily missed if you don't know about it, next to the big McDonald's at the top of Hagley Road....Big Man's Food is not to be missed!!!!

If you eat in you get more for your money. Too expensive for takeaway as you dont get as much food and its not presented nicely. Food tastes good and when i went to the restaurant it was clean. Portion at the table is adequate but slightly expensive for what it is. Takeaway is too expensive for what it is and should be less due to quantity and presentation but still tastes good.

We all ordered hot dogs- firstly the website states that they come with regular fries- we did not receive the fries- when we phoned the restaurant they stated you have to pay extra- false advertisement. The menu states fries come with the hot dogs. Secondly the hot dog sausage was cheap chip shop sausage not proper hot dog. Disappointed. Will not order again.

Tend to come here every month or so....service is on point just like the food....friendly staff ...keep it up

Wasn’t impressed by this restaurant considering Iv heard a lot about it! First thing was the poor customer service!! The girl who served my table wasn’t welcoming at all she didn’t crack a smile once to be honest she had a bad attitude. The food was nothing special didn’t really enjoy it didn’t finish it all. Found on Groupon and wow definately worth the trip outside of the city centre. Fantastic customer service, clean restuarant and to die for food. We had the Lamb mad max burger and the boss man burger, both were beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Massive portion of fries and soft drinks in glass bottles. Could not have asked for a better experience. Recommend for sure ❤
