Big John's Perry Bar in Birmingham

No updates on the app, even with their own couriers, they can swipe on the system to say it is being prepared and then out for delivery. But nothing. Called their contact number provided on the app for no response. Ended up eating local shop sandwich as was hungry. Food was wasted basically. Even now as of this time it says delivering but food already in trash.

today's food was the best ever. everything was prepared nicely. great taste. chips were not bruised or over cooked. pizza was so nice and cheesy too.

Whilst the food was excellent value for the price point, £3 for a filling portion of food, the rest was absolutely dismal. Firstly, the drinks selection is poor. I don’t want to be washing my chicken and chips down with a Coca-Cola rip off that tastes like vinegar. Speaking of, the ‘condiment’ station was pungent with smell of vinegar that almost knocked my socks off!! Salt and Vinegar spread all across the station. Not only was it impractical, as only one person can use it at a time, it is not cleaned as often as it should be. Next, the atmosphere. It is genuinely a frightening store to visit. Whilst I appreciate that Big John’s has always being a slightly higher tier of ‘your local chippy’, it has lost a lot of its lustre. The feeling I get approaching specifically this store and the newly closed down store opposite the square peg left me feeling like I was in a shanty town and not a place I would enjoy eating my food. The floor also seems to be cleaned not as often as it should be and there are usually only 3 staff on shift when this is a clearly busy location that needs extra staffing. Genuinely disappointing.

had a fish and chips from there and never seen so much oil in a box. carrier bad was drenched with oil. extremely disappointing, especially as the price was cheap.

The can was in the same bag as the food, and the can was warm, which wasn't pleasant. Overall, the food was nice, but I was disappointed that my drink was warm instead of cold.

Very poor battered mushrooms tiny not how they normally come, potato wedges replaced with chips cold bruised scabby horrible straight in the bin. Was also missing 2 hot dips paid £1.20 for them. This place gone down hill will not be returning AVOID.

Ordered 3 items via uber eats today, looks like we will not be ordering from here again. Used to be good but gone so downhill. Cold food, old donner meat no flavour, loaded fries from other stores so much better literally gave me cold chips a few southern fried chicken and cut up some red chillis on top lol. Food takes so long even when ordering directly from the store be sure to wait at least an hour for delivery. Wouldnt recommend this big johns defo try the one in town lawley middleway

Chips were hard and tasted stale wont be ordering from here again food was discusting pus the bag our drinks were in was soaking wet as we took it off the dilivery driver the bag split and we lost one drink on the floor

Terrible customer service. Ordered pizza from here order was delayed for over 3 hours. I called 40 times to the store with no answer. Had to call another branch who got through to the manager at perry bar who then called me giving excuses. I complained to customer services via the online form and they are as useless as the store offering me a free 12 inch pizza on my next purchase. I want a refund for cold inedible food not another cold pizza.

Poor quality, very cold, when we heated up the taste was terrible, portions were very small I.e salad you could put on a dessert spoon. Not worth the money. We won’t be using big johns again.

Mixed kabab was nice but my boneless chicken x4 were so dry or over cooked and the coating was rock hard did call to report it but so far herd nothing back the chicken was that bad couldnt eat it at at over £8 was really disappointed

I recently had a disappointing experience at Big John's. The service was slow, and my order took much longer than expected. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and not very flavorful. Doner in naan was nice, meat was tender, salad was fresh & bread was soft. But portion is too small for the price! Accompanying chips and cola were okay. Fish & chips were disappointing. Chips were okay and fish was bland. Mushy peas & curry sauce were flavourless and watery. Could not taste any vinegar even though it was added during order. We got 20 chicken popcorn for free. The packaging is better than the food tbh 😆

Order was on time but was delivered to my neighbour who kindly gave it to me. If I didn’t know them, they would not given me my food.

I ordered via the just eat app, my food was saying delivered on time but did not come to me. Turns out soneone had taken my food stating they lived in my house and it was for them. I called up and spoke to a very polite guy called jaz, he was very helpful and helped me get the order remade and sent to me. Apart from the person who took my food in the first place the rest of my experience was great. The food was amazing. Thanks for all your hard work!

wrong order on my chicken and is very cold and my lamb Donner is soaking in Chilli sauce n mayo and I didn't ask for mayo. one lamb Donner is tiny no meat on it . why are you so bad at this with my orders. this is very bad service.

my food is always cold every time, I have to put it in the airfryer , also the portion size is never the same . like now one kebab is ok n the other really small . the food is nice when it's hot lol. that's after I heat it up. come on BigJohns sort it out.

Fish was extremely oily, seems like it was packed straight from the fryer and not drained

small portions , I ordered the same but was in my mates name and they were big portions, shame really ... and I've spent over £200 in 2 weeks , you'd think when that address comes up , you'd be looked after . I'm gonna try this last time and see how my portions look . lol.

Stale cold nann bread. Kebab meat had the texture of leather, greasy and tasteless. Will never buy anything from this chain again. Word of advice those preparing food should not be using their mobile phone in food preparation area not hygenic.Understand why the shop was empty

The workers work really slow and sometimes they are a bit moody. Last time I had to wait nearly an hour before my food was served.

Second time I’ve ordered a pizza and be given the wrong one, I even mentioned in the notes to make sure it’s a deep dish, to then have the delivery driver argue with me a customer and nearly touch my food telling me no it’s a deep dish when you can clearly see it’s as thin as me
