Me and my friend went to the restaurant. We ate food from there and after like two hours, we had. Food poisoning or stomach was hating the food is not good. It made us sick. It’s been like five hours that we had stomach pain. I would not recommend you to guys to go there. The food is not really good.

Ordered food for a party and they had forgotten my order when I called the night before. They said, we can still deliver. But when the food arrived, it was horrible- undercooked rice, burnt crust at the bottom, soaked in oil and don't even get me started on the curry. Waste of money, embarrassment infront of my guests, expensive recipe for upset stomach. Avoid at all costs.

Chapal kebab juice fresh made unfortunately for me it's wasn't spice for my liking can't fault big size nan bread salad and mint sauce and chilli sauce nice okay eating area no offence it wasn't great chapal kebab time for me and need go somewhere else for chapal kebab

Went here to try the chappali kebabs. Overpriced and undercooked kebabs. They tasted horrible! The place is in need of an hygiene inspection it’s disgusting inside. Never again.

The meat and rice was delicious. However they forgot a few stuff. The carrot Halva was awful it tasted like rotten carrot and out of date oil. My dad tried to call the place and they wouldn't answer so he went there and waited and he didn't their service.

Food wasn't all that sheesh kababs were elastic band naan was crunchy kabs wer flavourless but didn't wanna complain cuz really cheap and not soo cheerful

I waiting my food more than 1 hour , I called 3 times each time promised next 5-10minuts , actually never happens , don’t wanna mention food is cold enough coz didn’t arrive on the time Let’s come to meal , I ordered two potions lamp chops , it’s come lamp ribs .. this is quite funny what kind chefs it’s even don’t know a parts of own cooking meal Chapli kebab , this can be say worst chapli kebab I ever had , don’t know where they cook the chapli , on oil or top of coals , ridiculous As a Turkish , not a chef , but k can make 100% better than this two meal if come by my self dude So disappointing, if can’t handle go do something better which at least not effectively you religions , as a Muslim this is shameful can be say , don’t play with peoples emotions Seriously Emotional damage can be say

Food was not up to the standard. Afghani plao was tasteless. As afghani it was worse afghani food ever I ordered. Naan was uncooked and taste raw.

Came here with my mate food was absolutely delicious we had kabli pilau and karahi its was the best charsi lamb karahi so far! Will pay a visit again. Thank you

I recently ate from and I have to say, it was a terrible experience. The food was bland and lacked any authentic flavors. The service was slow and the staff seemed indifferent to our presence. The prices were also ridiculously high for the quality of food we received. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my visit and would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else for a true taste of Afghanistan cuisine.

Last time I got my food it was amazing but this time when I got my food the kebab was uncooked the food was cold there was no flavour in the rice and chicken and the onions we burned please change your cook, never ordering from here again

Please don’t go here it’s so bad, I ordered some food with my siblings and mom from Uber and the total cost was 30£. I wish I didn’t everything about it was bad. The whole bag was wet bc most of the sauces had spilled and they were all so watery without taste, seemed like water was added to make sauce look more, the kebabs we ordered were not fully cooked and we couldn’t even eat them, we also ordered some kabli pulao and most of which was outside the box they, they didn’t properly seal any of the boxes , the only thing I liked was the chicken salan but the service was really bad. Basically 30£ were wasted 😭😭

Possibly the worst place I have ever had the pleasure of eating in. Salad was off. Curry was disgusting. Chapli kebab was DISGUSTING! Naan burnt. Absolutely avoid this place.

The food was stale the karahi I ordered smelt really bad the salad I paid extra was off and rotis were half cooked half burnt I will never order from here again! Chef needs to learn authentic afghani cuisine because what they sent me was anything but charsi karahi!!

The place itself looked shabby. The display food looked a few days old. But the food cooked for us was fresh tasting and we really enjoyed it. Shame about their food display and the overall hygiene.

Tried there kebab platter it was very good in taste!

Brought the pilau It was just bones, no meat in the rice. Took out the meat to see how much there was by putting it on a plate. Only got home to see this was so disappointed, won’t be visiting again.

Joke of a place to eat. The food wasn't nice at all. Not sure what the chapli kababs were made of. Kabuli pulao wasnt kabuli pulao at all and lamb chops tasted off. The owner quoted one price for the dishes he recommended and later said he made a mistake in pricing and insisted we pay the full price.

Never order from this place. Ordered food and it never came. Waited 3 hours and kept on calling them; they kept saying ‘5 minutes’. Eventually they just cancelled the order and gave no explanation. Rubbish place never come here, no care for their customers at all. They used their own Uber eats driver too and lied about how close the order was. Shame on this restaurant and the workers I don’t know how they’re still in business.

I ordered food through delivery app, First they sent my food after 2 hours Secondly, I ordered letil but they sent me chick peas and taste was discusting, even they sent me wrong drink😂. Please dont ever go to this takeaway.

Wasn’t a good experience, we ordered lamb chops chapli kebab and lamb karahi. The chops and kebab were dry and chewy and karahi was semi decent but far from authentic, tasted more like a desi karahi. To top it they over charged us by £5 and didnt even show us the receipt before paying.

One of the worst places I've ever eaten at, the chappal kebab was nasty and tasted off, all dried up and sour taste, paid 8 pounds foe one kebab nan and coke, not worth even 2, 50 disgusting place the main guy there at the till is a pick, highly recommend don't eat from here, you will be disappointed, got a belly ache feeling sick from the food here, this place should be closed down, what a disgrace

The most UNAUTHENTIC peshawari food! Very disappointing quality & taste of food, which you can easily tell if you are Pathan from KPK. They seriously need a good cook!

Amazing to be there. During several visits, I found the taste and good food. You have to ask for spices you can afford. Good fine platters and I bet you can't finish Afghans portions. The man on reception is friendly and cooperative.

Brought kebabs and naan from here for the family. Upon entering the store I asked what sort of meat the kebabs were made from, since my son has an allergy to beef. Whilst I understand that this is a rare allergy, and not every restaurant caters for such allergy, I ensured to ask when entering the store. The worker reassured me that lamb meat was used to make the kebabs. After eating, my son had the worst allergic reaction to the food. I called the restaurant just to confirm that it was lamb, and the man on the phone tells me it’s beef! They have workers who don’t know the ingredients they’re using. So unprofessional, and could put peoples lives at risk with the poor training. Sort your staff out!!!!

Food were always on point. Although the place is a suffication nest. Smoke was everywhere due to kitchen in the open. Not that pleasing. 😬

Ordered from here a while back worst chapli kabab i have ever tasted,it smelled really bad, too salty. I put 3whole chapli kababs in the bin...im sorry but who ever is making the kababs needs training as thats not how you make kababs. Authentic Pakistani restaurant with some tasty food. Chappal Kebabs with huge 'Family Nan' is their speciality. Green tea is a must after a meal specially after gobbling down those Chappal Kebabs with huge Nan bread.

Ordered take away, chapal kebab with nan and chicken tikka with kabli pilau. I was served quickly and the food was made quickly and was very fresh.

Today was Eid and we felt like eating some grill food. We'd never tried this restaurant so we ordered some food. Suffice it to say the Meat was rotten. The kebab especially stinked. I could smell it as soon as I opened the box. My family has been vomiting ever since and I myself have had some food poisoning. I normally don't bother with reviews, but honestly this place is horrible. I wouldn't feed animals their food. The worst food I've tried in my entire life and I strongly advise against it. The saddest part is they act as if nothings wrong, they claim they've never had an issue. That's until you see the reviews. Any other day would've been fine and I would have moved on, but its Eid day and you've just ruined my family's appetite.

Worst food in Birmingham. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Ordered online and the taste was awful. I would have just ignored the food for once and let go the bad experience but the staff member was extremely rude when the problem was reported. Forget about customer service, he was ready to fight. One of the dirty and poor hygiene Resturant I ever seen in Birmingham. I bought chapli kebab yesterday, it’s doesn’t taste as Chapli kebab, smell very bad and made me and kids sick. I saw the unlce cooked the kebab in black and used oil. I recommend not to use this Resturant and request the owner to at least clean the place once a week, because the meat and Vegtable looked like left from three or four days in the front showcase.

Good place to gather with friends. Food is not bad, it's traditional KPK food. Family room is available.

My husband and me used to love eating from here...not only is the customer service appalling...but the quality of food has gone down hill which is a big disappointment for us...the chapli kebabs has no taste to it what so ever ....no spices...no masala...and the meat was dry ...didnt even taste like chapli kebabs just tasted like a over grown burger...sorry for this il have to give a 1 star rating and will be looking 4 somewhere else in future to eat from

I just spent £30 on a lamb kharai very oily meat has a weird texture didn't taste fresh at ALL the mix grill... Meat was very mushy and chicken was smelling off very spicy for my taste the only okay thing was the peshawari naan but even that could be cooked 1 minute extra.... Very disappointed will never order from here again!!!!!!!

After my first time ordering from this place it will also be my last time. The food from the Chapli Kebab to the fish burger meal were vile. The fish came with skin off and had a horrible odour which made it evident to tell it was completely off. The kebab was disgusting as was the fish burger meal. The fries came with bits of leftover fish and chicken all over the fries. Rang the store and was told I would get a call back no apologies, Will never be ordering from here again please don’t be fooled by their images. Horrible, horrible place.

I Use to go before lockdown. I live 8 miles away, so if I'm travelling through that area, I phone and collect on my journey. Over the last few years the prices are increasing and the quality is dropping. On 18.8.21 I phoned the person was talking urdu. I thought he was talking to some else in shop, he hung up. I called back and he said I've told you not to call he's busy and hung up. When I drove past their was two table's with people. I'll delete the number won't go again. Lots of other places to try on Stratford Road.

Ordered first time for delivery. Delivery was 2 hrs and even then had to keep calling for them to get it to me. Finally when it came food was cold, tasted awful was full of chillies and the order was wrong! They missed out hlf the order and gave something else. Called shop spoke to someone who said they would redeliver it tomorow tried to be understanding and said ok. Next day called to reminder 2.5 hrs later still not received. Called the shop and was rudely spoken to when i questioned their service started using religious dialogues of having patience ! Awful customer service disgusting food totally useless owners workers and delivery drivers that dont give a toss about customer service! Do not order from.here unless u want to wait hrs and then have tasteless food! Wouldnt even give it 1 star but thats the lowest you can rate

Ordered take away, chapal kebab with nan and chicken tikka with brown pilau. I was served quickly and the food was made quickly and was very fresh. The price was very reasonable and piping hot. The food tasted great and I will definitely be ordering again, don't go by the previous negatives, give it a try.

Birmingham, United Kingdom After a previous bad experience I thought I'd give it one more try. Ordered a Chapleli Kebab which is a Afghani speciality. Boy was I wrong, it was the worst kebab I have ever had the misfortune to taste! Half of it was full of massive chunks of Ginger! Never nver again will I step in this place again, went to another Afghani restaurant on the Covenrty Road (for which I will write a separate review), and it was fantastic. Please avoid this place if not try it and you'll soon see how bad it is ! If I could have given it a minus one I would have. You have been warned !!!!!

The food is great and the portions are big. Service is very good. I'd highly recommend Bab e Khyber to anyone looking for authentic Asian food. The front of the restaurant looks little unattractive but it's great inside. Good family environment too.

We ordered Chapli kebabs, naan and Karachi. Received a complementary generous salad plate. By the time food arrived we were half full. Started with kebab and it was heavenly. could taste all the fresh flavours. Peshawari naan looked impressive and tasted good. Karahi was amazing although a bit spicy. We got complementary gajrala halwa with the kehwa we ordered. In all, a 5 course meal. We did not finish all the food they served us so got some packed. The biggest surprise was the bill. We expected around £40 and the bill was £20. We had to ask them to recheck to make sure they got it right. Amazing food. Excellent service. Clean, comfortable place. Will definitely come back.

Most disappointing food..chicken charga was burnt..ordered chicken curry received meat. Chaplai kebas were terrible..they were swimming in oil...will not be ordering from this place again.

Best Chapli Kebabs in Birmingam. That is their signature dish and that is all I go there for. This is a takeaway rather than a family sit-down place.

Desde aquí pedimos chapli kebabs hoy después de tomar un par de bocados nos dimos cuenta de que la carne no era cordero y olía. Si quieres para protegerse de intoxicación alimentaria evitar como la peste. He estado aquí dos veces y nunca volveremos de nuevo. Great pashtun/afghani food. The massive naans are awesome. Chappli kebabs are the best I have ever had...period. unbelievably good. I use them for large food production for parties at my house also. No complaints.

Worst food with terrible service. Food quality is real bad. They never changed their Oil & give re-baked dishes. Only their Big NAN is freshly baked rest they are selling crap. They ruined the name of khyber :)

Had heard that these guys did good chappell kebab. A chipped tooth and toilet issues later I suspect that things have gone downhill. Inside is a bit grimy too. Likely won't be trying again.

This place has one of the best peshwari kebabs in brum massive nab breads to share with your fellow diners. Really value for money for example 3 of us ate for £17 we got a peshwari kebab and salad each and a huge ban bread to share between us and a chicken biryani. Plus 3 cans of drink. The only negative is the restaurant itself isn't the cleanest out there the toilets smells and is unclean but apart from that the interior decor could do with updating

food was amazing loved the look of the restaurant and great service was given the afghan pilou and chapel kebabs were delicious as there one of my personal favourites. dishes were also very clean and organised on the tables over all a lovely place to dine and a good place to recommend also friendly waiters at this restaurant who make your visit as good as possible at a high standard. they also sell a variety of food such as mixed grills,sweet naan and normal naan bread, desserts, karahis etc.

Came here a couple of times with my family and friends and I absolutely love the food and the service. Staff is very friendly and they make you feel at home! I love the Chapli kebabs and especially their chicken karahi.. will definitely be coming more often and definitely do recommend! Hats off!

Just came back from this disgusting, initially went thinking, this would service nice well prepared afghn food, and to treat my family out for our after eid dinner. Overall very disappointed with the staff who look suspiciously under-age and under-trained, the service was unbelievingly slow, when I brought this up with them, they were very hostile and rude with me in front of my family. The food was poorly cooked, the meat tasted very funny and I felt the spices were only used to mask something sinister maybe I will found tonight. The nan came out when we had finished our meal and than they wanted us to pay for it!The mango drink came out when we had finished the meal also ( what's the point I asked the under age waiter?), I believe this place has changed ownership and has only gone down hill. Never will I come back to such a shambolic, disorganised poorly run place!

The chapaal kebabs here were amazing and then the new owners ruined the receipe. I've tried them again and they have improved. Thiers is flavour and portions have also improved. Although the nan is still to dry.

The mixed grill was cery nice and the Chicken Karachi was very tasty also the staff is very friendly. best restrutrant in birmingham I recommend you must s try this again place
